The Purpose and Educational Methodology of Media Education for Senior Citizens: With Emphasis on Focal Interview on Media Education Teachers for Senior Citizens and Learners (노인미디어교육의 목표와 교육방법에 대한 인식 연구 - 노인미디어교육 교사 및 학습자와의 심층인터뷰를 중심으로)

  • This Study aims to thesis the purpose and educational methodology of media education for senior citizens. As background research, current situation and agendas regarding the media education for senior citizens were investigated. In further, quantative focal interview method was deployed to analyze recognition of teaches and education participants in media education for senior citizens. Focal interviews basis on the purpose, problems of education environment, preferred education method and suggestions of media education. The focal interview lead to in-depth opinion relying on experience of teachers and education participants. This study is expected to present the basis data for future theoretical systemization of neglected classes and for seeking educational utilization methods.

  • 대학의 게임개발 프로젝트는 학기라는 시간적 제약아래 게임 기획, 그래픽, 프로그래밍, QA 등 다양한 전공의 학생들이 팀을 이루고 진행한다. 게임 개발은 특성상 폭포수 개발과 같은 전통적인 개발방법론보다는 애자일 방법론이 보다 적합할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 애자일 방법론 적용을 시도한 졸업작품팀의 개발자를 인터뷰하여 진행과정과 실패 요인에 대한 정보를 수집하여 분석하고, 애자일 방법론을 적용하기 위한 방안을 제시하였다.

Analysis of considerations in oral health education for elderly diabetic patients: Focus group interview (당뇨병 노인환자의 구강보건교육 시 고려사항 분석: 포커스 그룹 인터뷰)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify considerations for oral health and oral health education through group interviews with the general public and those diagnosed with diabetes among the elderly over 65 years of age. The subjects of this study were divided into two groups: 5 healthy people and 5 diabetic patients over 65 who visited the Senior Welfare Center in G city, and each group had a 60-70 minute interview. As a result of the study, four key themes were derived: 'Knowledge on the relationship between diabetes and oral disease', 'Oral health status', 'Oral health management method', and 'Considerations for oral health education'. Healthy people who participated in this study answered that the contents they thought necessary for oral health education were periodontal management method, implant, holistic oral care, and systemic health, and diabetic patients answered that diabetes, periodontal management method, and importance of practicing oral care. Based on the results of this study, it is considered that it is necessary to develop a customized oral health education program for diabetic elderly patients in the future.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 SWP강화를 위한 교수법 개선 및 적용을 통해 교수자들 스스로 수업방식을 채택해보고 가지고 있는 경험과 노하우를 공유해 학습자 특성에 맞는 사회복지현장 실무형 수업방법을 적용하고 개선 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 학습자 동기유발 적용 방안으로 복지현장의 유형별 사업 진행 모습 시청(유튜브 동영상), 사회복지현장의 실무자 초대 또는 인터뷰 영상, 복지현장에 진출한 선배와의 만남 등이 필요하다. 둘째, 학습자 참여 방안으로 복지현장에서 진행하는 행사 참여, 복지기관 홈페이지 또는 유튜브에 댓글(선플) 달기, 복지현장 탐방 또는 실무자와의 인터뷰 영상을 편집하여 제출하는 노력이 필요하다. 셋째, 상호작용 적용 방안으로 수업에 앞서 사회복지현장의 이야기를 다룬 기사, 에세이, 사진 등에 대한 소감으로 소통하는 방법과 SNS 토론(e-campus, 카카오톡 등)을 통해 복지현장에서 중요하게 다루어지는 이슈에 대한 토론 등 적용 방안이 필요하다.

Establishing the Definitions of Metaverse and Metaverse Literacy and Developing the framework for Metaverse Literacy

  • The purpose of this study is to establish definitions on Metaverse and Metaverse literacy and to develop a framework for Metaverse literacy utilizing a Delphi study and in-depth interview methods with experts on Metaverse and digital, and future education. 9 experts participated in the Delphi study and 4 took part in the in-depth interview, and Delphi study data was collected via emails from January 12th to 17th and in-depth study data was gathered via zoom from March 1st to 19th in 2022. To establish the definition of Metaverse, 6 existing definitions were presented and ranked with calculated means of each definition, and additional comments were collected. To build the definition of Metaverse literacy, 1 existing definition was shown and calculated with the degree of agreement, and additional feedback was gathered. To develop a framework for Metaverse literacy, 12 sub-concepts were presented and ranked with calculated means of each concept. After applying feedback of the Delphi study, the authors re-established the definitions of Metaverse and Metaverse literacy, and re-develop the framework for Metaverse literacy. In the in-depth interview, feedback on these definitions and the framework was collected. After these processes, the definitions of Metaverse and Metaverse literacy were finalized, and the framework for Metaverse literacy was developed. Based on the results, implications and limitations of the study, and possible future study are discussed.

Information recognition style and Learning method for factorization - Focusing on algeblocks and formula application - (정보인식 유형과 인수분해 학습방법 -대수막대와 공식 활용을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of the study was to investigate the differences between two groups of students according to information recognition styles such as visual learners and linguistic learners. Two instructional methods, algeblocks and factorization formula, were utilized to introduce the factorization. Four students were participated for the study, and two of them were visual learners and the other two were linguistic learners based on learning style test. Interviews and the diagnostic tests were implemented before the instructions which were lasted for 6 sessions. After the instructions all the participants were interviewed and the researchers also interviewed them 5 days later. The results of the study were the followings: 1. All the participants regardless of their learning style revealed that algeblocks were helpful in understanding the factorization. 2. Visual learners were more likely using algeblocks, while the linguistic learners were more enthusiastic and proficient in using formula to solve the problems. 3. Five days later, two types of learning style students revealed different tendencies. Visual learners mainly used algeblocks, and linguistic learners were not enthusiastic about using algeblocks and one of them did not use them at all. 4. Five days later, two visual learners could not remember the formula, but linguistic learners could remember the formula in somewhat different level.

A Qualitative Study on the Anthropocene Perception and Experience of Undergraduates Using Focus Group Interviews (FGI) (포커스 그룹 인터뷰(FGI)를 활용한 학부생들의 인류세 인식과 경험에 대한 질적 연구)

  • In order to prepare for the Anthropocene, this study aims to provide basic data on the direction of the Anthropocene liberal arts education by sharing experiences on anthropocene perception for undergraduates using the FGI analysis method. Interviews were conducted on 14 people who participated in liberal arts tutoring for about four months from October 2021 to January 2022, and as a result of confirming meaningful concepts according to qualitative analysis methods, a total of three topics, eight subcategories, and 16 sub-units were derived. "The advent of the new geological age" recognized that the anthrop tax was close to our lives, and it was time to predict the future through the meaning, seriousness, and development potential of the anthrop tax, and "Anthropocene Reorganization and Responsibility" emphasized the reorganization and responsibility of individuals, companies, and governments. The Direction of Human Tax Liberal Education proposed future basic liberal arts education, action practice for climate change, measures to overcome the anthropology using ICT technology, and various liberal arts education contents for a positive anthropology. In this regard, this study raised perception of the survival of mankind by in-depth exploration of the anthropocene in terms of liberal arts education, suggested the direction of future liberal arts education necessary in the anthropocene era, and suggested implications for the educational content and method.

How to Measure the User Experience? (사용자 경험 측면에서 제품을 평가하는 방법 : 심층 인터뷰, 설문 방법론을 이용한 새로운 평가 방법론)

  • 최근 제품이나 서비스를 기획할 때, 사용자 경험 (User Experience)의 측면에 대한 고려를 해야 한다는 이야기가 많아지고 있다. 이는 기능이나 성능을 결정할 때 기능 추가, 몇 %의 성능 상승같이 좁은 방법으로 제품이나 서비스의 기획의 방향을 결정하는 것이 아니라, 사용자가 그 기능이나 성능에서 대해서 어떻게 느끼고, 기능이나 성능을 통해서 어떤 경험을 했는지에 대한 전반적인 고려가 필요하다는 것을 여러 분야에서 공감하고 있다는 증거라 하겠다. 그러나 사용자 경험이라는 개념이 명확하게 정의되어 있지 않고, 그에 대한 실증적인 연구가 부족하여, 더 나은 사용자 경험을 제공하기 위해서 어떤 노력이 필요한지에 대해서 명확하고 쉽게 파악하기 어려운 실정이다. 기존의 HCI 분야에서는 제품이나 서비스를 평가할 때 사용성 (Usability)에 초점을 맞추어서 사용성 평가 (Usability Testing)를 통해서 정량적으로 문제점을 조사하는 방법론에 대한 연구가 많이 이루어졌다. 그러나 이러한 사용성 평가 는 사용자들의 과업 수행 시간, 과업 수행 여부 등 사용자들이 제품이나 서비스를 통해서 진행하는 결과에 대한 성능 (Performance)에 주목하고 있어서 전반적인 사용자 경험을 중요시하는 현재 HCI 가 가야 할 방향과 현업의 필요와는 부합하지 않는다고 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 심층 인터뷰를 통해서 사용자에게 제품 경험에 있어서 중요한 요소를 찾아내고, 각 요소를 이용하여 제품에 대한 사용자의 전반적인 경험을 설문으로 물어본 후 구조방정식 모형분석을 통하여 각 경험 요소의 가중치를 도출하였다. 또한 이러한 가중치를 바탕으로 핸드폰, MP3 플레이어, LCD TV, 냉장고의 실제 제품 평가에 적용하여 사용자 경험을 바탕으로 한 제품 평가를 진행하였다. 또한 이러한 방법론을 한국뿐만 아니라 러시아, 독일, 인도의 사용자들에게도 같은 방식으로 진행하여 실증적으로 본 연구에서 개발된 방법론이 가능한지 여부를 확인하였다.

A Study on the Optimization of UX Design Process and Methodology for small and medium sized manufacturing companies (국내 중소 제조기업 실무 적용을 위한 UX 디자인 프로세스 및 방법론 최적화 연구)

  • The purpose of this research is to establish the UX methodology knowledge optimized for small sized companies on the basis of theoretical and practical UX development process models. The 7 UX design process models were analyzed by the outcomes and attributes on each design stage from academic field. Then the interview and observation on 18 domestic companies were conducted to clarify the actual methods in use and the gab from the academic theories. The two different design model were unified as an product lifecycle coupled UX process (PLUS). The 100 theory-industry knowedge combined UX design methodologies were selected and aligned along with 6 design stages of PLUS process. Each method was decomposed as a template format that contains standardized attributes applicable for small companies under consideration of their resources, process and produced items. The result of this research is expected to be applied onto real industry and reduce the risk of small manufacturing companies to escalate the quality of UX in their productions.

An Analysis on Bibliotherapy Experiences of Bibliotherapists in Library (도서관 독서치료사의 독서치료 경험 분석)

  • The aim of this study is focused on knowing what bibliotherapists experience while they are in a session with their clients in library settings. Qualitative interviews were conducted as the main research tool or method used for this study. The study participants included 12 bibliotherapist respondents specializing in library. They were divided into two groups of 6 and each group was interviewed for approximately 2 to 3 hours. The interview employed a question asking methodology modified from that presented and/or originally used by Kruger and Casey(2000). The interview utilized open ended questions in the order of starting, introduction, main, and ending questions. Analyses of the interviews were based on methods presented by Morgan and Scannell(1998). Results of the study show that experiences through therapy sessions consisted of 7 different themes, 26 specific categories, and 84 unique concepts. The purpose of the study was to observe the problems bibliotherapist have or may encounter in library settings, provide feedback to make each session better, and as a result, help both the library and bibliotherapist during the bibliotherapy process.
