Internet shopping malls for fashion products(e.g., apparel, cosmetics and accessory) may become a major player with a promising future because of its tremendous growth in e-commerce. In addition, the fashion market has been segmented by various types of shopping malls on the internet. For many types of internet shopping malls, literatures give us numerous types, such as general mall, specialty mall, open-market, mall-in-mall, department-mall, brand-mall, and a specialized category mall, etc. Although each mall specializes in different activities, a unified categorization with managerially meaningful implications has not been made. This paper aims to explore criteria of internet shopping malls based on previous research related to shopping mall types for fashion products. The results found that internet shopping malls for fashion products were classified based on physical space, openness of the mall, number of companies, method of profit, specialization of products, number of product categories, and brand products dealt with. Internet shopping mall for fashion products was classified into online malls versus online malls versus offline mall, open mall versus closed mall, single mall versus multi mall, retail-trade mall versus syndicated mall, general mall vs specialize mall, one-product category mall versus multi-product category mall, and brand mall versus non-brand mall. These findings could offer an important contribution in research and practice, and an insight into developing appropriate strategies for effective fashion shopping mall management related products.
This study reviews the limit of image search by considering on the image search methods related to content-based image retrieval and suggests a user interface for more efficient content-based image retrieval and the ways to utilize image properties. For now, most studies on image search are being performed focusing on content-based image retrieval; they try to search based on the image's colors, texture, shapes, and the overall form of the image. However, the results are not satisfactory because there are various technological limits. Accordingly, this study suggests a new retrieval system which adapts content-based image retrieval and the conventional keyword search method. This is about a way to attribute properties to images using texts and a fast way to search images by expressing the attribute of images as keywords and utilizing them to search images. Also, the study focuses on a simulation for a user interface to make query language on the Internet and a search for clothes in an online shopping mall as an application of the retrieval system based on image attribute. This study will contribute to adding a new purchase pattern in online shopping malls and to the development of the area of similar image search.

Website reputation is a key criteria for searches related to fashion product information and purchases. The greater the reputation of a website, then the greater the sense of community among its members; in addition, a stronger positive attitude towards the products influence subsequent purchases or WOM intention. This study reveals the influence website reputation and a sense of community for the WOM effect in regards to fashion products according to the type of the online shopping mall. The findings of this study are as follows. First, an increased website reputation produces a higher sense of community and perceived usefulness for WOM. The effect of the WOM was greater as the perceived usefulness of WOM increased. Second, the perceived usefulness of WOM had the greatest effect on the WOM effect. The reputation of a website had only an indirect effect on the WOM effect through the sense of community and the perceived usefulness of WOM. Third, the comprehensive mall had a greater reputation, but the WOM effect was greater with the fashion specialty mall. About the influence on the WOM effect, in the comprehensive mall the sense of community was more powerful than reputation of the website. In the fashion specialty mall the reputation of the website was more powerful than the sense of community.

Previous studies from marketing domain suggest that the concept of involvement plays an important role in explaining consumers' purchase behavior. Despite its critical role and the explosive growth of e-commerce, there has been little research examining the role of involvement in Internet shopping mall context. With this motivation, this study has two research objectives. First, it introduces and tests a theoretical model in order to better explain consumers' intention to purchase in Internet shopping malt context. The proposed model extends and integrates existing models on purchase intention by incorporating purchase experience, innovativeness, and perceived self-control as consumer factors and perceived risk, information provision, and perceived price as Internet shopping mall factors. Second, this study attempts to shed some lights on how involvement differences may affect consumers' intention to purchase. For this purpose, two factors from involvement theory, involvement type and involvement level, are introduced as moderating factors into the research model. The empirical results partly support the proposed model and identify the moderating effect of involvement differences. Theoretical and practical implications of the study are discussed along with its limitations.
Internet commerce has the potential to propel a company to "break out" of existing strategic constraints and radically alter business processes, strengthen customer and supplier ties, and open up new markets. Therefore, many firms have rushed into internet commerce to conduct business more efficiently, create new business opportunities, and generate business value. Since internet shopping mall not only become a valuable channel for selling goods to customers, but also offer companies an important vehicle for attaining competitive advantages in the new digital economy, the design and content of internet shopping mall must reflect its business goals and customers' needs. However, as little empirical evidence on the effect of internet shopping mall contribution of firm performance exist, the functionality of a firm's internet shopping mall has been decided voluntarily from its business experience. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the marketing functional characteristics of internet shopping mall and its performance. 125 questionnaires from internet shopping malls which sell physical goods direct to an individual end consumer were collected. The results showed that some factors(price, product recognition, reliability enhancement) affect positive effects on the performance of internet shopping mall.
The current study investigates the customer's perceived interactivity, perceived trust, and flow of the Internet shopping-mall. The TAM(Technology Acceptance Model) was applied to see the effect on the individual's attitude toward the shopping-mall via purchase intention. To fulfill the study objectives, a total of 806 questionnaires were distributed to the customers with first-hand experience with fashion merchandise in Internet shopping-mall. The judgement sampling method was employed on sample population ages from 20's to 40's over one month period. The result showed the following. First, the perceived interactivity had an effect on perceived trust, usefulness, Flow in all shopping mall types. but there was no effect in the relationship between the two-way Interactivity and the perceived usefulness in the Specialty Internet Shopping-mall model. Second, perceived trust and Flow had an effect on perceived usefulness in all shopping mall types. Third, perceived trust, usefulness and Flow had an effect on the attitude toward shopping-mall in all shopping mall types. Forth, perceived trust, usefulness, Flow and attitude toward shopping-mall had an effect on purchase intention of fashion merchandise in all shopping mall types.
