Economic Effects of Changes in Spatial Accessibility on Regional Tourism Expenditure Structure (공간적 접근성 변화가 지역관광지출구조에 미치는 경제적 효과 분석)

  • This article analyzed economic effects of changes in spatial accessibility on regional touruism expenditure structure resulting from highway investments on Gangwon province, Korea. The Seemingly Unrelated Regress(SUR) model is applied to analyze the structure of change in tourism expenditure of Gangwon Province, and the competition and complementary relationship of tourist demand were analyzed among 18 counties in Gangwon by Dendrinos-Sonis method. The spatial accessibility has a significant effect on the increase in amount of tourist expenditure, but by 1% increase in the accessibility resulted in a reduction of length of stay -0.18% and travel costs -0.34% by respectively. The most powerful variable for improving the on-site economy is the tourist service establishment, which increases one unit, the amount of tourist expenditure increased by 3.6%. Moreover, the competition and supplemental relationship of tourism demands in Gangwon was decided by the conditions under which traffic flow with passing occurred, such as inland or ocean-typed travel attractions, adjacent or remote regions to the highway. The limitations of this study were not able to use raw data of tourism expenditures before and after the opening the highway due to the restriction of priority data, and further research on the appropriate level of spatial accessibility for the regional economy is needed.

Evaluation of Extremely Low Frequency Magnetic Fields emission Level from High Voltage Transmission Lines (고압 송전선로에서 극저주파 자기장 영향평가 적용에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigated the ELF-MF emission level of various environments such as 258 facilities near located to high voltage transmission lines and 120 high voltage transmission lines, 17 underground cable lines. In addition, ELF-MF reduction rate according to separation distance was calculated by using simulations. An appropriate separation distance showing below 4mG was at least 70m. In the case of the appropriate separation distance for 120 high voltage transmission lines, 154kV required 20m of separation distance and 345kV required 60m of separation distance. The simulation results showed that the appropriate separation distance showing below 4mG was 40m and 60m for overhead 154kV and 345kV respectively. To adjust the worst conditions considering the aspects of environmental impact assessment study and the electric power currents that will increase in the future, the appropriate minimum separation distance for HVTL is judged to be above 70m in this study. Thus, there is a need to establish the greenbelt or buffer zone within 70m so as to create an environment in which the receptors are not exposed and thereby eliminate the risk factors of ELF-MF against humans.

Study of the Dormitory Architecture of Governmental Secondary Schools in the Japanese Colonial Era (일제 강점기 관립 중등학교 기숙사 건축에 관한 연구)

  • This study reviewed the planning characteristics of dormitories for secondary schools in the Japanese Colonial Era by analyzing the architectural drawings collected by the National Archives of Korea. The dormitory was one of the essential facilities in secondary schools but there have been few studies in this area. The analysis items were the site plan and the planning characteristics of student bedrooms, dining hall, and supervisor's area, which were the main elements of the dormitory. The results of this study were summarized as follows. 1) Generally, the dormitory area was placed in the rear of buildings for teaching with a close connection. 2) The student bedroom wings were laid out in parallel to the south as a rule making the typical site plan pattern for a dormitory, whereas the other parts of dormitory, such as the dining hall and supervisor's area were placed in the site conditions. 3) Generally, the unit plans of bedrooms for Korean schools were the ondol type and were small in size, whereas those for Japanese were the tatami type and large in size with separate study and sleeping areas. 4) The dining hall annex was made up of a dining hall and kitchen-bathroom area in general. For Japanese schools, the school store area was added to these areas. The typical shapes of dining hall plans were narrow and long with an adjacent corridor, so the overall plan of the dining hall annex was like that of a single-corridor type block plan. 5) The supervisor's area was a smaller part of the dormitory but it was considered to be a symbolic part of the whole dormitory in site planning and design.

Evaluation of Flexural Behavior of Hollow Prestressed Concrete Pile for Continuous Pile Wall (주열식 벽체용 중공 프리스트레스트 콘크리트 파일의 휨거동 평가)

  • In the construction site, various earth retaining systems are developed and applied to maintain stability of excavated area and structures. Among the methods, the underground continuous wall and the column-type diaphragm wall methods are especially used in construction site nearby buildings or roads. However, these methods have some disadvantages such as the difficulty of quality control and long curing time because these methods need to cast fresh concrete at the construction site. In addition, these methods are usually applied to the site for the temporary purpose. In this paper, we suggest precast hollow prestressed concrete pile for continuous pile wall system. To investigate the structural behavior of suggested pile, which is the main member of the suggested system, tests pertaining to the structural behavior and prestressing force applied in the pile are conducted. From the test results, it was found that the prestressing force measured is sufficient compared with the value obtained by the design equation and the cracking moment measured is 34% higher than the design value. In addition to the above, this precast hollow prestressed concrete pile has an additional safety margin that the maximum moment is 59.2% higher than the cracking moment which is one of the serviceability limits for the design of the system.

Characteristics of the Cut Slopes located in Mt. Jang Area, Busan (부산 장산지역에 분포한 절개사면의 특성)

  • The information of cut slope in Mt. Jang area, Busan is investigated in order to construct the Slope Management System in Urban Area. The slope inspection sheet is made to record the characteristics for cut slopes, and that is capable to be inputted slope information systematically. The cut slopes in Mt. Jang area are consisting of 69 slopes. Most of the cut slopes are constructed in cutting slope and retaining wall (CR). The cut slopes located in housing facilities are 46 slopes, and the slopes located in school facilities are 12 slopes. The traverse of cut slopes is mainly ranged from 50 m to 150 m, and the height is mainly ranged from 10 m to 20 m. The slopes combined with soil and rock are mostly distributed. The retaining wall was installed in the toe part of cut slope in order to increase the slope stability, and the additional reinforcement methods including the anchor, drainage, preventing rock fall, shotcrete and vegetation were installed at the toe part of cut slopes.

On the Location arid Development of Industrial Complexes in Chonbuk Province (전북지역 산업단지의 입지 및 발달에 관한 연구)

  • In Korea, as the state has played a vital role for industrial development, the location and development of industrial complexes have not been merely decided by economic factors but political and social factors as well. The location of industrial complexes in Chonbuk province has not been decided by industrial enterprises to be located there, but by investment strategies of the state. In the early stage of industrialization, Chonbuk could not attract a large-scale major complex because it had relatively inferior infrastructure for industry and uneasy access to overseas export markets, as compared to the capital region or the Southeast region of the country, and it has been left behind as a periphery in the national industrial system. Since 1980, the spatial policies for lessening regional disparities had much contributed to the development of industrial complexes in this province. The industrial complexes leading to the development of manufacturing activities in this region have also great influenced on structural changes of manufacturing as well as changes in the structure of the regional economy. Especially, capital goods manufacturing tends to increase in this region as the development of sectors required relative higher skill and technology mainly occurs in these complexes. And where the large-scale industrial complexes are located greatly influences the locational patterns of manufacturing in this province. The patterns of the industrial complexes in this region have concentrated in Chonju, Iksan, and Kusan, which are the largest cities in this province. Given these three cities to be very closely proximate, it seems to be easy to build network between them to develop the manufacturing activities in the near future.

Estimating Economic Loss due to Wildlife Damage to Agriculture and Forestry Production Near Protected Areas: Case of Mountain Villages in Gurye-gun, Korea (보호지역 인근 야생동물에 의한 농작물과 임산물 피해액 추정: 구례군 6개 산촌마을의 사례)

  • An increase in damage to crops and facilities caused by wildlife such as wild boar causes serious social and economic problems to the rural economy in Korea. This study aims to estimate the economic losses incurred to rural households in mountain villages near protected areas in Korea due to the damage to agricultural and forestry production by wildlife. The case of mountain villages located in Toji-myeon, Gurye-gun near the Jirisan National Park was studied as an example. Data were collected by interviewing 84 households across six mountain villages in April and June 2016. The results indicate that the economic losses due to wildlife damage in 2015 were estimated to be 1.65 million KRW per household, which is a total of 138.63 million KRW for the 84 households. Among local products, the most damaged products were chestnut, fern-brake, wild pear, peach, and potato, whereas the most damaged products per production area were sweet potato, peach, corn, and potato. The potential economic losses caused by wildlife damage to agricultural and forestry production in whole Gurye-gun area was estimated to be around 4.0 billion KRW in 2015. However, the municipal government budget for the compensation of wildlife damage was only 0.9 percent of the potential rural economic losses caused by wildlife damage in 2015. The results of our study suggest that the compensation scheme for wildlife damage is inadequate in the respect of social justice. Considering the low financial capacity of the municipalities in mountain areas, the central government should take a progressive responsibility by allocating more financial resources for compensation of economic losses of rural households due to wildlife damage. The equitable and effective governance of wildlife conservation is required for sustainable development of rural communities near protected areas.

항만개발에 의한 조석조류 및 수질변화 예측을 위한 시뮬레이션 모델 연구

  • 항만개발 사업은 매립이나 준설과 같은 해안선과 해저지형을 변화시키는 공사가 이루어지며 이는 조석조류 현상의 변화를 유발하게 된다. 특히 해안지형이 복잡한 항만이나 하구에서는 변화정도가 크게 나타나며 방파제나 선박접안 시설과 같은 항내 구조물을 축조 할 경우에도 조석조류 변화가 야기된다. 조석조류 현상의 변화는 해양 수질과 생물상에 영 향을 줄뿐만 아니라 인접한 육지에 이르기까지 크다란 피해를 유발할 수가 있다. 창조시 해 수를 육지로 범람하게 하거나 퇴적이나 침식조건을 변화시킬 수도 있으며 오염물질이 외해 로 확산되는 과정을 방해하고 해양생물의 서식조건을 악화시켜 부근 해역의 어업에 피해를 유발할 수도 있다. 또한 해안 공사 과정에 해수로 유입되는 토사나 항만 이용시에 배출되는 폐수 등이 항내 수질과 생태계를 변화시킬 수 있다. 따라서 조석조류와 수질변화를 사전에 예측하고 이를 최소화하는 방안이 강구되어야 한다. 조석조류와 수질 변화를 사전에 예측하 는 방법으로 축소모형 실험과 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션이 사용된다. 축소모형 실험은 현장을 재현 하는데 많은 경비와 시간이 소모되며 예측에 한계가 있다. 반면에 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션은 대 상해역의 지형과 조류 그리고 수질특성에 적합하게 모델을 개발할 경우 예측력이 매우 높기 때문에 현재 가장 널리 이용되고 있다. 본 연구는 유한 요소법에 기초하여 미국 공병단 (United States Army Corps of Engineers)에서 개발한 TABS-2 모델을 이용하여 온산항에 서 시행되는 부두건설에 따른 조석조류 및 수질변화를 시뮬레이션하였다. 측정된 자료로 모 델 계수를 보정하고 검증하였으며 항내 매립과 준설이 이루어질 때 나타나는 조위와 조속변 화를 예측하였다. 매립과 준설공사시 유출되는 토사가 조석조류현상에 따라 이동 확산되는 범위와 농도분포를 예측하였다.ophobic components)은 75~80%, 친수성 물질(hydrophilic components)은 30~33%정도의 분포를 보였고, 전염소 및 전오존 공정을 거친 처리수에서는 각각 62.2-62.8%, 43.9~49.0% 및 50~ 55%, 40~57% 정도의 분포를 보였다. 그리고 웅집-침전을 거친 처리수에서는 그 분포가 77~82%, 24-48%였다. 전주리 공정을 통하여 소수성 물질(byoghobic components)의 분포가 감 소하는 것을 볼 때 전염소 및 전오존 처리가 용존유기물의 응집에는 오히려 역 효과를 나타내는 것으로 판단된다. 것으로 판단된다.여 황토 2g에 대하여 Hieltijes and Lijklema 방법에 의해 Adsorbed-p, Nonapatite inorganic-P(NAI-P), Apatite-p, Organic-P로 구분하여 분석하고, 총인(Total Phosphorus)을 Standard Methods에 따라 Persulfate digestion후 0.45 m membrane 여지 여과하여 여액에 대해 PO3-4-P의 농도를 Ascorbic Acid 법으로 측정한 결과, NAI-P가 가장 큰 비율을 차지하였고, 부원료로 첨가된 금속 양이온 중 Fe3-이온이 흡착에 기여하는 정도가 가장 큰 것으로 평가되었다.다당류 T-AS의 보체 활성화 기작은 classical과 alternative complement pathway의 양 경로를 통해 활성화 되었다. T-AS 분획은 mouse내의 특정 혈청단백을 증가시켰으며, 항체 생성능의 증가가 관찰되어 effect T 세포의 활성화가 나타나고 있음을 알 수 있었다. T-AS는 생체내 투여시에 대식세포의 탐식능이 증진되었으며, 대식세포 기능 저해제에 의한 대식세포의 기능 저해 현상이 회복되었다. 이와 같은 결과들로부터, T-AS의 항암 활성은 활성

  • 일반적인 다목적댐은 홍수 발생 시 본댐으로 유입되는 부유쓰레기 및 잡목 등을 차단하기 위하여 댐 상류에 차단망을 설치하여 1차적으로 사전 방지하고, 홍수기 이후 선박으로 부유물을 수거하여 재활용, 소각 등으로 처리하는 시스템이다. 그러나 본 연구의 대상인 한탄강댐은 홍수조절용 댐으로서 수위 변화 폭이 매우 크고 정상 조건(비 홍수기)시는 대규모 홍수터가 드러나기 때문에 댐 유지관리 방법이 상이하며 한탄강 본류 구간은 하폭과 수심 등 하도의 불규칙성과 만곡부에서 유수의 흐름이 한쪽으로 쏠리는 편기 현상이 발생하는 등 복잡한 수리현상으로 인하여 부유쓰레기의 분포를 판단하기 어려운 지역이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 부유쓰레기의 유동을 모의하기 위하여 HEC-HMS 모형과 $Vflo^{TM}$ 모형을 활용하여 본류와 지류의 빈도별 홍수량 분석을 실시하고, EFDC 3차원 동수역학 모형을 적용하여 홍수조절용지 내 부유쓰레기의 유입 경로 및 정체 구역을 분석하여 효과적인 쓰레기 처리 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 분석 결과, 소규모 빈도 홍수(2년, 5년)의 경우 중 상류 지류의 부유쓰레기는 거의 유동하지 못하고 하도의 만곡의 영향을 받아 부분적으로 높은 밀도로 고착될 것으로 모의되며, 특히 본류와의 합류점 부근에 도달한 부유쓰레기는 유로 폭이 급확대되어 유속이 거의 없는 사수역 구간으로 변함에 따라 본류 배수위 영향으로 불규칙하게 맴돌다가 고착되는 것으로 모의되었다. 중규모 홍수(25년, 50년)의 경우, 상류부의 부유쓰레기의 분포는 소규모 홍수 시와 유사한 패턴을 보였으나 중류부에서 홍수파가 본류 하도를 월류하여 홍수터로 넓게 범람하는 지역에서는 소규모 홍수 시 본류 하도 양안에 분포하던 부유쓰레기가 홍수터 쪽으로 밀려가서 고착되는 경향을 보였다. 대규모 홍수(100년, 200년)의 경우, 댐과 인접한 분석 구간 하류부는 댐 배수위의 영향을 가장 크게 받으며 수심이 깊어 흐름이 가장 정체되는 구간으로 본류와 지류 모두 다량의 부유쓰레기가 분포할 것으로 분석되었다. 분석 구간 중류부는 홍수 규모가 증가함에 따라 넓은 홍수터로 침수범위가 급격하게 증가하며 이에 따라 부유쓰레기가 분포할 수 있는 면적이 크게 증가할 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 분석 구간 상류부는 협곡을 이루고 있어 홍수규모가 증가하더라도 침수범위와 부유쓰레기의 분포면적에 큰 변화가 없을 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 댐의 치수 문제가 발생하지 않도록 효과적으로 수거 처리 할 수 있는 부유쓰레기 적치장 및 차단 시설의 적정 설치 위치를 파악하였다.

An Empirical Study on the Competitiveness by Satisfaction Measurement of Incheon Port (인천항 이용 만족에 따른 경쟁력에 관한 실증 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the new strategies for strengthening the competi tiveness of Incheon port. To measure the calling factors and satisfaction of ports, this study developed a list of 24 items using a seven-point Likert scale through the previous literature reviews, pilot test and emerging factors. Factor analysis, regression analysis, one sample T-test, IPA and SPSS were conducted to verify the determinants choosing ports and customer satisfaction. The result of an empirical study revealed that the cargo volume and information system, etc. in Incheon port was evaluated as satisfied factors and berth availability and port charge, etc. as dissatisfied factors. Based on the outcomes of this study, to strengthen the competitiveness of Incheon port, several strategies were advised such as the inducement of North American and European cargo, port infrastructure, dedicated terminal and GTO inducement, hinterland construction, logistics companies inducement and cooperation with neighboring ports.
