  • Generally, the plate load test and the field density test are conducted for compaction quality control in earthwork, and then additional analysis. Recently developed that the DCPT (Dynamic Cone Penetration Test) equipment for smart compaction quality control its the system are able to get location and real-time information about worker history management. The IoT-based the DCPT system improved the time-cost in the field compared traditional test, and the functions recording and storage of the DPI (Dynamic Cone Penetration Index) were automated. This paper describes using these DCPT equipment on in-situ and compared to the standards of the DCPT, and the compaction trend had be confirmed with DPI as the field test data. As a result, the DPI of the final compaction decreased by 1.4 times compared to the initial compaction, confirming the increase in the compaction strength of the subgrade compaction layer 10 to 14 cm deep from the surface. A trend of increasing compaction strength was observed. This showed a tendency to increase the compaction strength of the target DPI proposed by MnDOT and the results of the existing plate load test, but there was a difference in the increase rate. Therefore, additional studies are needed on domestic compaction materials and laboratory conditions for target DPI and correlation studies with the plate load tests. If this is reflected, it is suggested that DCPT will be widely used as smart construction equipment in earthworks.

  • This study was performed to compare the foodservice management practices in the employee feeding operations of Jeonnam and Chungchong area. Questionnaires were developed and mailed to 160 dietitians with management in employee foodservice of Jeonnam and Chungchong area. Completed questionnaires were received from 124 dietitians with a response rate of 77.5%. The results of this study can be summarized as follows:. Age, work experience, concurrent position and work time of dietitians were significantly higher in the Chungchong area than those in the Jeonnam area. Times of meals and amount of meals served per day in the Chungchong area were significantly higher than those in the Jeonnam area. The type of menu by foodservice operation was high non-selective menu in both areas, especially non-selective menu was high in self-operated place whereas selective menu was high in contract management. Period of cycle menu was 10-15 days in Jeonnam area, but that was 7 days in Chungchong area and so cycle menu of both areas was significantly different (p < 0.001). Most considerable factor in menu planning was preference in Jeonnam area and was cost in the Chungchong area. Food purchasing method was used mostly by automatic computerized order in the Jeonnam area whereas telephone or mail order was high in the Chungchong area.

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm for an alternative method using the clustering algorithm in a system that needs classification to extract individual user context information. In the conventional user classification system, the user has to input his own information. In this paper, we will research and develop a system applying a clustering algorithm which can extract user 's perceived information applying the improved algorithm for user management base. Generally, the algorithm that distinguishes users with the same data makes sure that recorded information matches the newly entered information, and then responds accordingly. However, it is troublesome to manually input information of the new user. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a method to distinguish users by using the clustering algorithm based on the analyzed data from the working memory in the accumulated system without directly inputting the user information. The study shows that the management method applied to the applied algorithm is more adaptive in environments where the number of people is different from that of the existing system (as a subjective observer test method).

  • This paper is composed of a passenger management system using a temperature sensing module, a PIR sensor module for detecting movement inside a room, and a smart breath sensing module for determining a sleeping state. An embedded sensor module and a communication system integrated the sensing part and the algorithm driving part. As the aging society is accelerating and becoming more upgraded, the social cost of Silver Care increases, and in order to protect privacy, it is necessary to reduce costs by developing efficient smart silver care devices. The proposed non - image human body detection IOT sensor system is implemented by hardware and software and has superior performance compared with conventional image monitoring method.

  • Many small and medium-sized enterprises are deploying Smart Factory without due consideration of the circumstances in which the entity is in or outside of the entity, such as environmental changes and the capabilities of its members. Therefore, utilization and effectiveness are also low after deployment. This study verifies 'the establishment of a Smart Factory through the environmental factors and absorption capabilities of small businesses' through empirical research. The survey was received by people working for small and medium-sized companies that have established Smart Factory. The results of the study showed that first, environmental factors within and outside the company had a positive effect on the absorption capacity within the company. Second, the absorption capacity within a company has had a positive effect on the deployment of a Smart Factory. Based on the above proof, it has been proved to be effective if the core areas of the Smart Factory are built on the basis of the company's internal and external environmental factors and absorption capabilities when constructing Smart Factory in small businesses. In the future, we will study the achievements of smart factory construction.

  • The JTEL's success case of implementing ERP through ASP is studied in this paper. This paper especially presents the detail processes of implementing ERP through ASP and the advantages of that. Critical success factors in this case study are that pre-prepared ERP template and repetitive prototyping methodology was successfully utilized and that end users involved positively and accepted the standard best-practice processes of the ERP template in this project. These factors reduced ERP training periods and also the whole implementation periods, which made the project time quite short and TCO less. Considering these success factors, ASP method provides the advantages of global e-business IT environment, continuous new IT technologies and flexible response to the business changes to the small and medium firms. Finally, the paper suggests the new direction and possibility for small and medium firms focusing on the core competency and utilizing new system infrastructure through ASP method compared with in-house implementation.

  • In this paper, we have developed the vacuum infusion automation system for the safety and quality advancement of the boat. It is necessary for the precise mixing rate of resinoid and curingagent to inject in an inner ship and deck at short time. We need for the optimal condition to a strengthen construction of boat. This one can solve the post deformability of the strengthen structure and can control the precise mixing rate of resinoid and curingagent to the resinoid fluidity and flowing rate per time. Under these condition, we can advance the an quality construction that based on the model and database information of the boat. Also, we can have an effective process management and retrench the production cost.

  • In general, crowded places, such as banks, government offices and hospitals, require the customer to wait for a certain period of time. Thus according to the order of the wait, customers takes waiting numbers. In this way, so customers should always check the order of waiting processes that they can not carry on another affairs. In this paper, we develop an application, that is SmartQ, managing queue using a mobile handset. SmartQ is an easy-to-use application allowing customers an alternative to the classic queue management systems. With this application, they are aware of the waiting conditions in real time for each of their services. They can indicate the time they wish to come and take a virtual ticket in the queue. It provides service notification, the number of waiting person, and expected waiting time.

  • Despite the importance and function of productivity information, in the Korean construction industry, the method of collecting and analyzing productivity data has not been organized. Also, in most cases, productivity management is reliant on the experience and intuitions of field managers, and productivity data are rarely being utilized in planning and management. Accordingly, this study intends to develop a prediction model for interior finishes of apartment using deep learning techniques, so as to provide a foundation for analyzing the productivity impacting factors and predicting productivity. The result of the study, productivity prediction model for interior finishes of apartment using deep learning techniques, can be a basic module of apartment project management system by applying deep learning to reliable productivity data and developing as data is accumulated in the future. It can also be used in project engineering processes such as estimating work, calculating work days for process planning, and calculating input labor based on productivity data from similar projects in the past. Further, when productivity diverging from predicted productivity is discovered during construction, it is expected that it will be possible to analyze the cause(s) thereof and implement prompt response and preventive measures.
