A Study on Electromyogram Signals Recognition Technique using Neural Network and Genetic Algorithms (신경회로망과 유전알고리즘을 이용한 근전신호 인식기법)

  • A new recognition technique using neural network coupled with Genetic Algorithms (GAs) was proposed. This technique concentrate on efficient Electromyography signal recognition through out improving neural network's several demerits. GAs paly a role of selecting Multilayer Perceptron's optimized initial connection weights by its typical global search. Electro Myography signal was pre-processed with Hidden Markov Model (HMM) in order to refect its time-varying property into input pattern except other features such as Zero Crossing Number(ZCN) and Integral Absolute Value (IAV). Results for 6 primitive motions show that the suggested technique has better performance in learning time and recognition rates than already established ordinary methods. Moreover, it performed stable recognition without convergence into a local minimum.

The Effects of Instructions Using Analogies in Learning the Concept of Saturated Solution by Analogy Presentation Types and Verbal Learning Styles (포화 용액 개념 학습에서 비유 표현 방식과 언어적 학습 양식에 따른 비유 사용 수업의 효과)

  • This study investigated the effects of the instructions using analogies in learning the concept of saturated solution by the analogy presentation types and the verbal learning styles upon the mapping understanding, the mapping errors, and the perceptions of the instruction. Fifth graders (N=123) at an elementary school were selected and assigned to VA (n=63) and VPA (n=60) groups. As a pretest, a test on the verbal learning style was administered. The students in the VA group learned the target concept with a verbal analogy, while those in the VPA group learned it with a verbal/pictorial analogy. After the students learned it, a mapping understanding test was administered. The students in the VPA group also administered the test on the perceptions of the instruction and some of them were interviewed in depth. The results revealed that the scores of the students with strong verbal learning preference in the VPA group were significantly lower than those in the VA group in the mapping understanding test. However, the scores of the students with weak verbal learning preference were not significantly different between the two groups. Five types of mapping errors were identified: failure to map, mismapping, rash mapping, impossible mapping, and mapping of a surficial feature. According to students' verbal learning styles, there were some differences in the frequencies of mapping errors in the two groups. Many students in the VPA group, regardless of their verbal learning styles, had positive perceptions of the instruction in various cognitive and motivational aspects. However, some of them also pointed out a few difficulties of the instruction. Educational implications of these findings are discussed.

Comparison of Perception on Science Teacher Preparation Courses by Beginner and Experienced Science Teachers (과학교사양성과정에 대한 심층면담을 통한 경력과학교사들과 초임과학교사들의 인식 비교)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate beginner and experienced Korean science teachers' perceptions about the science teacher preparation courses from which they graduated, and to compare them. The study was conducted as a qualitative study using in-depth interviews. For the study, interview questions were developed by the authors based on the questionnaire of 'The IMPPACT project' that was being conducted in America. The interview tool includes questions about their experience of science subject matter content knowledge, science pedagogical content knowledge, and general pedagogical content knowledge in their preparation courses. For the interview, seven beginning science teachers, less than five years of teaching experience, and five experienced science teachers, more than five years of teaching experience, were sampled from secondary schools in Korea. The research results are as follows: First, most of the beginner and experienced science teachers perceived that the teaching methods in the classes of science subject matter were not good model for teaching science in their secondary school, because they were not diverse enough and entailed mostly knowledge transfer just through lecture without teacher-student interaction. Second, most of the beginner science teachers perceived that they were affected positively by the teaching strategies and evaluation methods in the classes for science pedagogical subject matter and they could apply those strategies and methods in their current science teaching. Lastly, most of the beginner and experienced science teachers perceived that general pedagogical subject matter is important and prerequisite for science teaching in their schools, but the courses that they experienced at their university were not appropriate for their current teaching.

The Relationship between Autonomy and Achievement Motivation of University Players (대학선수들의 자율성과 성취동기와의 관계)

  • This study intends to figure out the relationship between autonomy and achievement motivation of the university players. For this purpose, Survey was performed to Seoul and Metropolitan area's 25 sports 396 Players., And using SPSS 18 and AMOS program descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis were conducted. Based on purified data through the process, the relationship between autonomy and achievement motivation was verified with correlation analysis and regression analysis. As a result, autonomy was recognized by male player higher than female player, and in goal-orientation of the access tendency of achievement goal orientation, male player showed higher scores. And in mastery-avoidance of avoidance, female player showed higher scores and in performance-avoidance, male player showed higher scores. According to regression analysis, autonomy affects mastery-approach and achievement goal orientation of the performance-approach.

  • 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 기반의 태블릿 PC 환경에서 차량사고 발생 시 번호판 인식을 통하여 해당 사건의 증인을 확보 할 수 있는 증인 확보용 블랙박스 시스템을 제안한다. 이 방법은 기존의 블랙박스 기능에 추가적으로 영상에서 추출한 자동차들의 번호판을 인식하여 번호판 정보를 로그데이터로 저장하는 방식을 사용한다. 이로 인해 차량 사고에 대한 증인을 확보할 수 있는 시스템을 제공함으로써 사건에 대한 사용자의 불리한 입장을 완화 시켜줄 수 있는 객관적 데이터를 제공 및 저장하는 것을 목표로 한다.

A Study on the Awareness of the Yearly Income System among Dental Personnels (치과의료 종사자들의 연봉제 실시에 관한 의식도 조사연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine how medical personnels in the field of dentistry perceived the introduction of the yearly income system in an effort to determine some of the right directions for that and find out in which way that could be vitalized. For that purpose, literature concerned and relevant materials were reviewed, and a survey was conducted on 95 medical personnels, who were working at dental hospitals and clinics throughout the nation, for approximately five months from April through August 2002. After the collected data were analyzed, the following findings were acquired; (1) Regarding their awareness of the yearly income system by the type of institute, the workers from the dental hospitals found the yearly income system, more than the others from the dental clinics did, to enlarge their sense of involvement in management (p<.001), further work productivity(p<.01), awake their target-oriented sense of mission(p<.01) and make them feel uneasy about their future(p<.05). (2) As to differences between the dentists and dental hygienists, the former group had a higher opinion about that system(p<.01) and its effect on impartial performance appraisal(p<.01), encouraging medical personnels to deploy their abilities(p<.01), furthering work productivity(p<.001), intensifying a target-oriented sense of mission(p<.001). (3) Concerning their perception by career, those who had longer experience to work in that field considered it to strengthen work severity(p<.05) more than the others who had shorter experience did, and the former group thought that system was more likely to concentrate on a short-term achievement (p<.05). The workers who had been working for three to five years were more conscious of change in office hours (p<.01), and those who had been working for two or less years viewed that system most favorably(p<.05). (4) In order for that system to be successful, impartial performance appraisal was most widely called for(31.6%), followed by trust between labor and management(26.3%), worker's positive attitude toward that system(16.8%), CEO's firm belief in that(12.3%), and setting up a feasible target. The workers from the dental hospitals put more stress on medical personnel's favorable attitude toward that system(p<.05) than the others from the dental clinics did. And the dentists placed more stock in setting up a feasible target, which was a criteria of determining the amount of annual income, than the dental hygienists did.

Attitudes, Subjective Norms, and Beliefs of Korean Nursing Students as Predictors of Intentions to care for HIV Disease Patients ; a Test of Theory of Reasoned Action (Reasoned Action Theory를 적용한 한국간호대학생들의 HIV 대상자 간호의도 예측을 위한 인식, 태도 연구)

  • 본 연구는 한국의 간호학생들이 HIV-Disease 대상자를 간호하려는 의도정도와 이를 설명하고 나아가 예견할 수 있는 요인으로 학생들의 인식과 태도를 조사하였다. TRA가 본 연구의 개념틀로 사용되었다. 서울에 소재하고 있는 5개의 4년제 간호대학을 무작위로 추출하였으며 4학년 학생들 186명을 연구의 대상으로 하였다. 한국어로 번역된 Ajzen과 Fishbein(1980)의 도구를 이용한 질문지법을 연구의 방법으로 사용하였다. 다중회귀분석과 상관관계분석이 자료의 분석에 이용되었다. 한국 간호대학 학생들의 HIV-Disease대상자 간호 의도는 중립적인 것으로 조사되었다. 학생들의 의도는 학생들이 가지고 있는 HIV-Disease 대상자 간호에 관한 태도와 또한 HIV-Disease 대상자 간호로 인한 결과에 대한 인식으로 예견되었다. HIV-Disease 대상자를 간호하는 것이 학생들에게 긍정적인 결과를 줄 것이라는 인식은 학생들의 간호의도를 예견하고 있다. 그러나 TRA와는 달리 주위사람들이 자신이 HIV-Disease 대상자를 간호하는데 관한 의견은 학생들의 의도를 예견하지 못하였다. 학생들은 자신의 부모, 형제 또는 애인의 경우 자신이 HIV-Disease 대상자를 간호하지 않기를 바란다고 인식하고 있는 반면, 자신의 학교 교수, 성직자, 그리고 친구들은 HIV-Disease 대상자를 간호하는데 부정적이지는 않다고 인식하고 있다. 특히 같은 간호학을 전공하는 학교 친구들이 보여주는 HIV-Disease 대상자를 간호해야 한다는 인식은 타 학생들의 의도를 예견하는 것으로 조사되었다. 본 연구결과에 의하면 학생들의 HIV-Disease 대상자 간호 의도는 높지 않은 것으로 조사되었으며 특히 학생들의 간호의도에 학교의 교수들이 별 영향을 주고 있지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 이 결과에 의하면 HIV 질환과 HIV-Disease 대상자 간호 교육의 목표는 단순한 지식 의 습득뿐만 아니라 학생들이 보다 긍정적인 태도를 가질 수 있고, 긍정적인 결과를 인식 할 수 있도록 설정되어야 된다고 제 안하고 있다.

  • 본 연구는 모바일 환경에서의 Character Intelligent Agent (CIA)의 사용 행태를 연구하여 CIA가 나아갈 방향을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 문헌연구를 진행하고 이를 바탕으로 사용자와의 1대 1 심층 개인 인터뷰를 실시하여 사용자와 CIA의 상호작용 시 영향을 주는 행동, 대화, 말투 등의 사용자와 CIA의 요소를 확인하였다. 여기서 더 나아가 CIA를 대하는 사용자의 인식이 생물과 무생물로 나누어 지고, 이는 다시 사람과 애완동물, 기계와 장난감으로 나누어 지며 이에 따라 사용자가 CIA를 사용하는 행태에 차이를 보이는 것을 알아내었다. 특히, 사람으로 인식하는 사용자의 행태와 기계로 인식하는 사용자의 행태가 더 많은 차이를 나타내었으며, 사람으로 인식하는 행태가 캐릭터에 대한 긍정적 요소를 더 많이 포함하고 있다는 것을 알아내었다. 또한 추후 연구를 통해 각 요소 간의 관계를 파악하는 것을 목표로 한다.

  • 본 논문은 한국에서 야구에 관련 직무에 종사하는 사람 또는 야구를 배우고 싶은 사람에게 도움을 주고자 Kinect의 모션 인식 센서를 이용하여 자세인식에 관련 된 연구 내용이다. 야구를 배우고자 하는 사람들에게 자세에 대한 교정과 자신이 직접 자신의 자세를 보면서 활용할 수 있도록 하는 것이 궁극적 목표이며 프로그램의 제작자의 개입이 없이 사용자가 주제가 될 수 있도록 한다. Kinect에서의 야구 자세를 저장하여 자신의 모습과 비교하여 자세에 대한 피드백을 받을 수 있다. 이 프로그램을 통해 사람들이 좀 더 야구에 대해 쉽게 접근하고 이용할 수 있음이 프로그램의 구현 방향이며 야구를 접하는 사람들에게 자세 부분에 도움을 주고 야구를 즐기는 사람들도 도움을 얻는 기대효과를 가지는 프로그램이다.

  • 본 논문은 머신러닝 학습 도구인 Teachable Machine을 활용하여 모션 인식 러닝 액션 게임인 Dino Run Game을 개발하는 것을 목표로 한다. JavaScript, HTML, CSS를 사용하여 기본적인 게임 프레임워크를 구현하고, Google에서 개발한 Teachable Machine의 이미지 인식 모델을 활용하여 웹캠을 통해 사용자의 손 이미지를 인식한다. 이를 기반으로 게임 캐릭터를 제어함으로써 키보드를 사용하지 않고도 게임을 즐길 수 있도록 구현한다.
