Museum, due to its roles in preserving and sharing cultural and historical heritage for the development of society and communities, has emerged as a key base for the humanities-collaborated practices. This study, in this context, aimed to analyze how the humanities-based museum education programs have been practiced in the museums, which, in turn, might provide a basic data for the future direction and development of the programs and the related governmental policy as well. For this purpose, this study first examined theoretical framework for the link between humanities and museum education, from which a survey was developed. The survey was conducted to 75 museum educators who have been in charge of humanities-based educational programs. The result showed that most programs seemed to reflect the basic direction and purpose of the humanities-linked with museum education. Yet, more needs were found in terms of the educational themes and methods which can facilitate multicultural literacy and reflective thinking and activities within experiential learning environments.

  • This study examines cases of digital humanities education programs at universities, university libraries and digital humanities centers in the United States. As a result of the research, it was analyzed that the university-centered education program operates in conjunction with other departments to take courses related to humanities and digital technology in general. The digital humanities education program is not operated as a full degree program, but most programs are operated as graduate certificate programs, and it is required to require a graduate degree in library and information science and humanities in advance. Most of the digital humanities centers run educational programs centered on faculty and postdoctoral researchers in universities in connection with universities and university libraries to support the humanities scholars. Lastly, the university's digital humanities education program is operated in the form of research support for students and researchers of all majors. In addition, the content of the educational program focused on the practice for digital projects rather than theory. Empowering digital literacy and supporting digital technology-based research has become a new role for university libraries, which requires libraries to play a central role in digital humanities education.

  • Humanities is very difficult area to use the computer. However, recently, convergence trend has increase widely at all of the academic area. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a technical method to use an IT for the popularity of humanities. For this purpose, we implement a path process that use Petri-net to apply digital storytelling to humanities. We also make a structure to connect an examples and questions from sentences or articles as digital storytelling. The digital storytelling consists of six factors; author, synopsis, background, construction, view point, and user's or reader's review. Proposed method provides a process to analyze the data path of a literary work using Petri-net.

  • Humanities are as crucial as the technology itself in the intelligent information society. Human-centered convergence information technology (IT), which reflects emotional and human nature, can be considered a unique technology with an optimistic outlook in the unpredictable future. Based on this research background, this paper proposed an education model that can improve the IT humanities capabilities of various learners, including elementary and secondary students, prospective teachers, incumbent teachers, school managers, and the general public, through analysis of previous studies on convergence education models. Furthermore, the practical aspects of the proposed model were closely examined so that the proposed education model could be stably incorporated and utilized in the educational field. There are seven strategies for implementing the education model proposed in this paper, including research on textbooks, teaching and learning materials, activation of research results, maker space creation, global joint research, online education operation, developing living lab governance, and diversification of self-sustaining platforms for sustainable and practical education. In the future, validity verification through expert Delphi is required as a follow-up study.

In this point, we need to confirm the identity of our Korean culture. And we meet with the crisis of Humanities. Humanities is the core of our culture. It is the key point to make identity of our Korean culture as cultural universality and to apply it to develop Korean culture contents for the revival of Humanities. The core contents of Korean culture lies in the ancient myth, the thought of Hwarang, Confucianism, Neo-Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism, the practical thought, thought of Yangmyeong study and the thought of East study and so on. On the basis of these thoughts, the core of Korean culture are humanity, harmony, the spirit of Punglyu, thought of life- esteem, ethics of environment etc. I suggest that we can apply our cultural core ideas those I analyzed above to develop Korean culture contents in the fields of cinema, music, cartoon, animation, game, character, digitalization, cultivation of experience programs of Korean culture etc. In addition, I suggest their commercial application like e-learning and culture contents education.
