An Analysis on Artificial Intelligence Education for Disadvantaged student (소외계층 학생의 인공지능 교육 실태 조사)

  • 본 논문에서는 인공지능 교육에서 소외계층의 지원 방안을 도출하기 위하여 소외계층과 일반 학생의 인공지능 교육과 관련된 여러 요인의 실태를 조사하였다. 실태 조사 결과를 소외계층과 일반 학생을 비교하여, 소외계층의 인공지능 교육에서 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 연구를 위하여 인공지능 교육 관련 실태를 조사할 수 있는 설문을 구성하였으며, 온라인을 통해 설문을 진행하였다. 연구 결과, 소외계층 662명과 일반 학생 1,482명이 설문에 참여하였다. 소외계층은 일반 학생보다 인공지능에 대한 관심이 높았으며, 프로그램이 언어나 피지컬 컴퓨팅을 경험한 학생 비율이 높았다. 또한, 인공지능 직&·간접적 경험의 비율은 일반 학생과 비슷한 수준이었다. 하지만 인공지능 교육 경험 비율은 일반 학생이 약 20% 높았다. 이러한 내용을 종합하였을 때, 인공지능 교육에 대한 관심은 높지만, 인공지능 교육을 받는 학생의 비율은 낮은 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

Teacher Training Program and Analysis of Teacher's Demands to Strengthen Artificial Intelligence Education (인공지능교육 역량 강화를 위한 교원 연수 프로그램과 교사 요구분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to apply the training program for teachers to strengthen the competence of artificial intelligence education in primary and secondary school teachers and to analyze its effectiveness and analyze teachers' demands for artificial intelligence education to provide basic research data. The referenced training program was designed based on the ADDIE model by selecting the educational contents based on the five core elements of AI, and teachers from the G Metropolitan Office of Education and the AI Education Research Association collaborated to develop the program. The effectiveness of the developed program and questionnaire of teacher needs analysis for AI teaching were examined for content validity. As a result of the training conducted by applying the developed program, satisfaction with each curriculum of the training and the possibility of application to the field were highly evaluated. It was found that teachers consider the need of teaching unplugged activities for AI education and basic AI experiences in elementary school level, and AI education contents including block programming languages and physical computing activities are needed to teach in middle school level.

  • With the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, discussions on the use of artificial intelligence are actively taking place in many fields, and various policies for nurturing artificial intelligence talents are being promoted in the field of education. In this study, we propose a robot programming framework using artificial intelligence technology, and based on this, we use Python, which is used frequently in the machine learning field, and an educational robot that is highly utilized in the field of education to provide artificial intelligence. (AI) education program was proposed. The level of autonomous driving (levels 0-5) suggested by the International Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) is simplified to four levels, and based on this, the camera attached to the robot recognizes and detects lines (objects). The goal was to make a line detector that can move by itself. The developed program is not a standardized form of solving a given problem by simply using a specific programming language, but has the experience of defining complex and unstructured problems in life autonomously and solving them based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology. It is meaningful.

  • With the advent of the 4th industrial revolution, the need for artificial intelligence education has increased. The online learning environment caused by COVID-19 made it possible to use variety of artificial intelligence platforms. In this study, an aritificial intelligence class plan was developed and proposed to achieve the goal of artificial intelligence education using an AI platform. The AI platform used is AI for Oceans, With the theme of creating a program for the environment, designed a 6-hour project class using Novel Engineering-based on STEAM model. Students experience AI for Oceans enough time and learn supervised learning by experience. Based on understanding of supervised learning, students design their own programs for the environment using Entry's AI blocks. In this study, for AI convergence education, this lesson was developed and presented with the goal of acquiring the creative problem solving ability and integrated thinking ability by using the principles of artificial intelligence to solve problems.

  • 대다수의 사람들이 갖고 있지 않은 특정분야-예를 들어 의학, 법률, 과학적 분석, 회로설계 등-의지식을 요하는 일은 이에 필요한 지식을 갖춘 전문가에 의해서만 가능하였으나 최근 컴퓨터 기술의 발달로 이런 일을 해주는 프로그램의 탄생을 보게 되었으며 이런 프로그램을 전문가 시스템이라고 하고 전문가 시스템을 구축하는 일을 지식공학(knowledge engineering)이라고 한다. 지식공학은 인공지능을 응용면에서 추구하는 바이며 지적기능을 프로그램화하는 과학이라 할 수 있다. 먼저 지식공학을 위한 컴퓨터 구조를 기술하기 전에 인공지능 응용 프로그램의 특징에 대해 언급하고자 한다.

  • In elementary school software education, a programming process is experienced through a simple problem solving process. And even this experience emphasizes that the problem-solving process is a CS Unplugged activity. However, CS Unplugged has a disadvantage in that it only learns the principles of computing, and the learner cannot experience real problem solving. In this study, a learning program using artificial intelligence robots was developed with the goal of cultivating the ability to solve problems encountered in the real life of elementary school students. Students could solve complex problems in real life from the point of view of artificial intelligence through the developed program, and increase their interest and understanding of artificial intelligence education through robot control.

The Effect of Novel Engineering-based Artificial Intelligence Education Program on Convergence Attitude of the Gifted Students in Computing Convergence

  • In this paper, we attempted to apply a novel engineering-based artificial intelligence education program to elementary gifted students in computing convergence and confirm changes in their convergence attitudes. To this end, we analyzed previous research on novel engineering and artificial intelligence education for talented students, and based on this, we selected books to learn artificial intelligence concepts and principles for each topic and completed a 15-session educational program. The developed program was applied to 10 giftedness in computing convergence over 15 lessons, and as a result of conducting the same convergence attitude test before and after class, it was confirmed that it had a positive effect on convergence attitude. This study is significant in that it suggests the possibility of novel engineering for artificial intelligence convergence education of gifted students.

The Effect of a Fine Dust Environmental Education Program Using Artificial Intelligence-Based Tools on Environmental Sensitivity and Self-Effectiveness of Elementary School Students (인공지능 기반 도구를 활용한 미세먼지 환경교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 환경감수성과 자기효능감에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, we developed an environmental education program for fine dust using artificial intelligence-based tools. We applied this program to elementary school students to investigate its effect on environmental sensitivity and self-efficacy. The study was conducted on 29 sixth-grade elementary school students. The analysis of the pre- and post-tests gave the following results. First, the fine dust environmental education program using artificial intelligence-based tools was effective in improving the environmental sensitivity of elementary school students. Second, it had a positive effect on improving the self-efficacy of elementary school students, and third, it had a positive effect on the elementary school students' perception of the environment. After applying the program, students became more interested in the environment and fine dust. Additionally, they had a sense of environmental protection practice in connection with their daily lives. As such, it is concluded that the fine dust environmental education program using artificial intelligence-based tools had a positive effect on the environmental sensitivity and self-efficacy of elementary school students.

  • 지난 몇 년간 온라인 쇼핑 시장은 크게 성장하고 있다. 쇼핑몰에서 제공하는 최저 가격 정렬 기능은 사용자에게 편의성을 제공하나 배송비 포함이 제각각임에 따라 실질적인 최저 가격 정렬이 불가능하다는 한계가 있다. 본 연구에서는 배송비가 적용된 가격으로 보여주는 프로그램을 제안하고자 한다. 제안 프로그램은 크롬 확장 프로그램으로 구현되며 Open API와 스크롤링을 통해 획득한 배송비 정보까지 포함된 최종가격 정보를 제공한다. 이를 통해 배송비가 포함된 실질적인 가격 비교 정보를 제공하여 사용자 편의성을 크게 향상 시킬 것으로 기대된다.

A Systematic Review of AI Education Research Trends (인공지능교육 연구 추이에 대한 체계적 문헌고찰)

  • 본 연구는 최근 10년간 발표된 국내 학술지 및 학위논문을 대상으로 체계적 문헌고찰을 실시하였다. 이를 통해 인공지능교육에 대한 연구 활동 추이를 살펴보고, 향후 연구 방향성을 위한 기초자료를 확보하는 것을 목표로 한다. 연구방법으로는 학술연구정보서비스 데이터베이스를 활용하였고, '인공지능교육', '인공지능교육프로그램', 'AI교육' 등을 키워드로 검색하였다. 최종적으로 선정된 문헌은 51편이었으며 선정된 문헌의 연도별 발표 현황, 연구대상, 연구주제어에 대해 분석하였다. 그 결과 인공지능교육 연구 활동은 2020년부터 많은 연구가 시작되었으며 초등학생을 대상으로 한 연구가 가장 많았고, 키워드로는 인공지능, 인공지능교육, 초등학교, 소프트웨어교육, 언플러그드컴퓨팅 순으로 나타났다. 이를 토대로 향후 중·고등학교에 인공지능 적용 연구를 하고자 한다.
