Microlens cells of Ge-doped BPSG (Boro-Phospho-Silicate Glass) are fabricated by dicing the film produced by FHD (Flame Hydrolysis Deposition). Microlens arrays of $53.4{\mu}m$ square unit are produced by the thermal reflow of the diced unit cells at $1200^{\circ}C$. The gap between the microlenses was about $70{\mu}m,$ and the thickness of the produced lens was about $28.4{\mu}m$. We analyzed the reflowed shape of the microlens cell by an image-process technique, and the focal length was about $62.2{\mu}m$. This method of fabricating a microlens is simple and inexpensive compared to the conventional method using the photolithographic process. Also, the control of the radius of curvature of the microlens is easier and a more precise microlens way of various types can be fabricated using this method.

The important issues of facility database management in GIS are to collect up-to-date information and to update information in accordance with new-establishment, repair and replacement of the facilities. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a system which has capability of monitoring facilities as well as managing database efficiently. The purpose of this study is to propose possibility of implementation of mobile GIS solution for the facility management. In order to achieve the goal, to process existing digital maps and to receive on-site information through the wireless communication service are required. In addition, the system is required to process spatial information obtained by GPS and digital photogrammetric technique with real-time updating database in server. The system increases efficiency both in work flow and monitoring for facility management by providing optimal routing information to the sites and real-time two-way communication using VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol). The system is expected to perform real-time database management effectively. In consequence, the system could appropriately response on-site situations in various practical applications. The proposed technology could contribute to improve nation's leading-edge technology.

Purpose: This study was performed to evaluate the efficiency of demineralized bone matrix (DBM, Genesis$^{(R)}$) used for bone defect after operative traetment of benign bone tumors by clinical and radiological methods. Materials and Methods: DBM was used to treat bone defect after operative treatment of benign tumor from February 2012 to May 2013. Total 25 benign bone tumor cases (15 males, and 10 females) with mean age of 30.3 were studied. The diagnoses were solitary bone cyst in 9 cases, non ossifying fibroma in 5, fibrous dysplasia in 5, aneurysmal bone cyst in 3 and enchondroma in 3. In categorization by location of tumor, there were 5 cases of distal femur, 4 of proximal tibia, 3 of proximal femur, 3 of proximal humerus, 3 of phalanx, 2 of distal radius, 2 of hip bone, 2 of calcaneus, and 1 of scapula. Autogenous bone was used with DBM in 6 cases, and only DBM used in 19 cases. Mean periods of follow up were 8.7 months (range: 6 to 14 months). Amount of graft resorption and bone formation was observed with compare of post operation radiograph and the difference was shown by percentage. Resorption level was measured by DBM level which could be observed from simple x-ray, and bone formation level by bone trabecular formation level at impaired site. Results: Twenty three cases of total 25 cases showed bone union. In the 23 cases, more than 98% DBM resorption was observed after mean 4.3 months, and more than 98% bone formation was observed after mean 6.9 months. Lesser bone defect sizes showed faster bone formation and it was statistically significant (p=0.036). But other comparative studies on other factors such as, sex, age of patients and combination of autogenous bone were no statistically significant differences in graft resorption and bone formation. And there was no significant complication in periods of follow-up. Conclusion: Demineralized Bone Matrix (Genesis$^{(R)}$) is thought to be useful treatment for bone defect after operative treatment of benign bone tumor, however longer follow-up periods appears to be needed.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical usefulness of chest high-resolution computed tomography(HRCT) in patients with chronic coughs or persistent wheezing with normal chest X-ray finding. Methods : We reviewed the charts, chest X-rays, and HRCT findings of patients with chronic coughs or persistent wheezing of less than 2 years of age. The records were sourced from the Department of Pediatrics, Inha University Hospital covering the period from July, 1999 to June, 2000. Chronic cough was defined as a cough which was prolonged for more than 3 weeks. Results : The sample consisted of 24 patients(male 15 and female 9, mean age $4.7{\pm}3.8$ months old). Among them, 16 patients showed normal findings(66.7%) and 8 patients showed abnormal (33.3%) in simple chest X-rays. Among 16 patients who had the normal chest X-rays, 13 patients showed abnormal chest HRCT findings(81.3%) such as air space consolidation of the dependent portion(62.5%), bronchiolitis obliterans(12.5%), and bronchopulmonary dysplasia(6.3%). Conclusion : We suggest that the chest HRCT is a useful diagnostic tool in the evaluation of patients with chronic cough or persistent wheezing with normal chest X-ray, especially below 2 years of age.

Purpose : Vitamin D plays a key role in bone mineralization of the skeleton and vitamin D deficiency can lead to rickets. It is well known that vitamin D deficiency is common in breast fed infants. Of these patients, clinically, some have no signs of rickets, but laboratory and radiographic findings are diagnostic for vitamin D deficiency rickets (subclinical vitamin D deficiency rickets). The purpose of this study is to clarify current causes and ways to prevent this disease. Methods : We reviewed the clinical and laboratory characteristics of children who were incidentally diagnosed as subclinical rickets during treatment of other disease such as pneumonia, gastroenteritis, urinary tract infection at Eulji Hospital, Seoul, Korea from March, 2003 to July 2007. Results : Eight patients (six boys and two girls) were diagnosed with subclinical vitamin D deficiency rickets. The mean age of the patients was $12.6{\pm}5.8months$, and they were diagnosed from January to July. The associated diseases were pneumonia, urinary tract infection, acute gastroenteritis, and iron deficiency anemia. All patients were breast-fed. Two showed growth failure. The mean serum alkaline phosphatase was $1995.8{\pm}739.5IU/L$, the mean calcium count was $9.5{\pm}0.6mg/dL$, and the mean phosphorus content was $3.6{\pm}1.5mg/dL$. The mean intact parathyroid hormone was $214.8{\pm}155.9pg/mL$ (reference range, 9-65), the mean 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D was $82.4{\pm}49.3pg/mL$ (reference range, 2070), and the mean 25-hydroxyvitamin D was $29.6{\pm}10.6ng/mL$ (reference range, 1030). A radiographic examination showed cupping, fraying, and flaring of metaphyses in all patients. Six patients were administered calcitriol (400 IU/day) for three months. A consequent radiographic and laboratory examination showed improvement. The first two patients were initially diagnosed with metaphyseal dysplasia, without the detection of vitamin D deficiency and they spontaneously improved without vitamin D supplements. However, two years later, they showed mild scoliosis and metaphyseal dysplasia, respectively. Conclusion : Breast-feeding without supplementation involves high risk of vitamin D deficiency. Some infants may also develop rickets; therefore, such groups should be considered for vitamin D supplementation.

Various methods have been employed for acquiring beach surface data, which are used to monitor shoreline changes due to beach erosion. This study explores the possibility of constructing and implementing a surface model of beach using data acquired with a terrestrial laser scanner and RTK-GPS. Digital images and three-dimensional data of beach areas acquired at 20 cm intervals using a laser scanner were used to create a digital surface model covered with digital image. Seven months later, the beach area was surveyed using an RTK-GPS, and another beach model was constructed using the data collected with an accuracy of 1.9 cm. The use of a terrestrial laser scanner is expected to ensure acquisition of good quality results and help deal with seasonal changes in beach areas. Because readings obtained with the RTK-GPS are dependent on the number of sampling points in beach model, difficulties are encountered when fixing the survey points. However, RTK-GPS could be used to implement a three-dimensional model by correcting the hidden parts in images obtained using a terrestrial laser scanner. Therefore, an RTK-GPS and a terrestrial laser scanner can be used in combination to obtain more precise data for the construction of beach model data.
Choanal atresia may be membrane or bony, unilateral or bilateral. Approximately 90% of the choanal atresia are bony type. Unilateral choanal atresia often eludes the diagnosis because of the absence of subjective symptoms in the neonatal period. However, bilateral choanal atresia presents at birth with cyclic respiratory distress aggravated by feedings. So complete bilateral choanal atresia is considered as a neonatal emergency. Examinations for the diagnosis of chonal atresia include 1) attempt at passing a rubber catheter or probe through the patient s nose, 2) mirror examination of the nasopharynx, 3) digital examination of the nasopharynx, 4) X-ray examination after installation of radiopaque materal into the nasal cavity. But, computed tomography has become accepted method for evaluation of choanal atresia. Surgical repair of choanal atresia is accomplished via transnasal or transpalatal approach. Advantages of the transpalatal approach are improved exposure and the preservation of mucosal flap along the newly formed apertures. On the other hand, the transpalatal approach carries the risk of injury to the greater palatine neurovascular complex, and requires longer operative time. After careful physical and radiographic examinations, we accomplished the surgical repair of the complete bony bilateral choanal atresia via transpalatal approach without complications.

There is a need to restore the terrain back its natural environment after mining development. It is necessary to compare the original and developing surfaces for post-management and to analyze the terrain change to develop a process for efficient restoration plan. This study analyzes and compares change to the terrain by annual mining development using GIS. Contours digitized with CAD based on photogrammetry are classified into annual data and created by Triangulated Irregular Network (TIN). By producing profiles and cross sections using TIN, many stations are distinguished. As a result of the terrain changes caused by mining development from 2000 to 2003 by operating elevation values each cell converted to raster from TIN, $11,094,460m^3$ are cut and $5,127,968m^3$ are filled up to 46% of cut volume, and annual surface changes of cut and fill area to mining are analyzed to visual and quantitative data. This study is used for the restoration plan and additional mining. And it is expected that this annual change, caused by mining development, can be used to return the terrain close to its original condition for finished mining area.
Purpose: The proper surgical methods for treating acromioclavicular joint dislocation is still controversial. New methods should provide better early motion with sufficient strength. Materials and Methods: We performed arthroscopic stabilization using TightRope$^{(R)}$ (Arthrex, Inc, Naples, FL) in 10 cases of acromioclavicular joint dislocation between April, 2007, and December, 2007, and followup for a minimum of 10 months. We performed radiologic evaluation by comparing the clavicle anteroposterior radiograph with the contralateral one. Clinical evaluation was made for pain, function, and range of joint motion by Imatani's methods. Results: In clinical evaluation, 6 cases were excellent, 3 cases were good, and 1 case was poor. In radiologic evaluation, 9 cases were excellent and 1 case was poor. Redislocation occurred in 1 case. Conclusion: During short-term followup, 9 of 10 patients who underwent arthroscopic stabilization using TightRope$^{(R)}$ had excellent results in Imatini tests and radiologic evaluation, except 1 patient with redislocation.

Many studies on the prognosis of avulsed teeth were published but follow-up studies on Korean children and adolescents are insufficient. The aim of this study was to identify clinical factors determining the healing and prognosis of permanent incisors that were replanted after avulsion injury. This study included 184 permanent teeth in 142 patients aged 6-14 years. The clinical and radiographic data of the patients were analyzed from electronic medical records. Immature teeth had a higher probability of pulp revascularization than mature teeth. When extra-alveolar time was longer than 60 minutes, the incidence of inflammatory root resorption (IRR) was higher in immature teeth than mature teeth. However, the incidence of replacement root resorption (RR) was higher in mature teeth than immature teeth under the same condition. The incidence of IRR was increased when pulp was extirpated more than 20 days after replantation. IRR had a more significant influence on the decrease of survival expectation than RR. There was no significant correlation between the root development stage and survival expectation. However, when RR occurred, immature teeth survived shorter than mature teeth. Long term follow-up results from this study are expected to be used as fundamental data for the treatment guidelines and evaluation of the prognosis of replanted teeth.
