  • The purpose of this study was to examine how the level of self-compassion of correctional workers influenced depression and the simple and double mediating effects of job stress and job autonomy. Although correctional officers experience high levels of stress and depression, there are limited strategies to protect their job performance. The total of 210 correctional workers in S. Korea were included in the final analysis using SPSS PROCESS Macro model 6. For the analysis, Korean Self-Compassion Scale (K-SCS), Korean occupational stress scale (KOSS), and Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale (CESDS) were used. The results of the study were as follows. First, the correlation analysis showed statistically significant relationships between the variables(p<.01). Second, the simple mediating effect of job autonomy was found in the relationship between the self-compassion and depression as well as the double mediating effect of job stress and job autonomy. The influences of low level of self-compassion on mental health (depression) could be modified by improving the level of work related empowerment (job autonomy) as a protective factor. • Untact marketing is being activated due to COVID-19. As a result, live commerce, an untact seller, is also active in the e-commerce market. Therefore, in this study, we tried to find out what factors influence consumers when they purchase through live commerce. In particular, since consumers' trust and flow in live commerce platforms and products is important, their mediating effects were analyzed. The research model was established by deriving common variables among the characteristics of live commerce based on previous studies. An online survey was conducted for empirical analysis. 200 users who made at least one purchase in live commerce were analyzed. The study results are as follows. Among the characteristics of live commerce, entertainment, economics, professionality were found to have a positive (+) effect on purchase intention. On the other hand, ease of use did not significantly affect purchase intention. The influence was shown in the order of entertainment, professionality and economics. The mediating effect of trust was found to play a mediating role in that entertainment, economics, and professionality affect purchase intention. On the other hand, a significant mediating effect was not tested between ease of use and purchase intention. As for the mediating effect of flow, it was found that flow plays a mediating role in that entertainment and economics affect purchase intention. On the other hand, the mediating effect of flow in terms of ease of use and economics affecting purchase intention was not tested. As for the multiple mediating effect of flow and trust, the mediating effect of flow was stronger than the mediating effect of trust when entertainment had an effect on purchase intention. In terms of professionality affecting purchase intention, the mediating effect of flow was also stronger than the mediating effect of trust. On the other hand, it was analyzed that only trust had a mediating effect when economics had an effect on purchase intention. The results of this study empirically tested that entertainment, which is a fun and interesting factor of live commerce content, is the most important factor when consumers use live commerce. In addition, various results were derived, such as cases where trust and flow act as mediators at the same time or not at all. Practical implications can be found in that it provided a clue about what to prioritize in order to reach consumers for live commerce platform.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify psychological factors that influence psychological well-being in middle-aged adults(40-65 years old). In particular, we aimed to determine whether mentalization, the ability to clarify one's internal experiences, and adaptive cognitive emotional regulation have a dual mediating effect on the relationship between insecure adult attachment(anxious, avoidant) and psychological well-being in middle-aged adults. To address the research questions, structural equation modeling was conducted using Jamovi 2.2.5 statistical program to analyze survey responses from 317 middle-aged adults (117 males and 200 females) who voluntarily participated through mobile and offline surveys. The results of the study are as follows. First, in the structural equation model, the simple mediating effect of mentalization on the relationship between insecure adult attachment(anxious and avoidant) and psychological well-being in middle-aged adults was not significant. Second, the simple mediating effect of adaptive cognitive emotion regulation on the relationship between insecure adult attachment and psychological well-being was significant only for anxious attachment. Third, the relationship between insecure adult attachment and psychological well-being was fully mediated by mentalization and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation for anxious attachment, but partially mediated for avoidant attachment. These findings help provide a theoretical framework for developing programs to increase psychological well-being among middle-aged adults, a growing segment of society.

Total effects of chewing ability on cognitive function were not significant(p>.05). Direct effects of chewing ability on cognitive function were not significant(p>.05). There were the dual mediation effect(p<.05) of physical function and depression, a complete mediating effect by physical function(p<.05) or depression(p<.05) in the impact of chewing ability on cognitive function of older people in Korea. These results indicate that physical function and depression effect directly and indirectly in the impact of chewing ability on cognitive function of older people.
