Overall Heat Transfer Coefficient Measurement of Covering Materials with Thermal Screens for Greenhouse using the Hot Box Method (핫박스를 이용한 온실 피복재 및 보온재의 조합에 따른 관류열전달계수 측정)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 국내에서 상용되고 있는 온실 피복재 및 보온재의 조합에 따른 관류열전달계수를 핫박스를 이용하여 평가하는 것이다. 온실용 일중 및 이중 피복재와 이중 보온재의 조합에 대하여 야간천공복사 차단여부에 따른 관류열전달계수를 핫박스를 이용하여 실외에서 측정하였다. 처리조건은 일중피복, 이중피복, 이중피복과 이중 마트보온재 및 이중피복과 이중 다겹보온재의 조합조건과 천공복사 유무에 따른 조건이며 총 8가지이다. 제작된 핫박스는 상시 변화하는 외부의 기상조건하에서도 내부온도를 설정된 온도로 일정하게 잘 유지할 수 있었다. 온실 피복재 및 보온재의 관류열전달계수를 측정하는 실내용 측정장치는 반드시 야간천공복사를 모의할 수 있는 측정장치가 되어야 할 것이다. 야간복사를 차단함으로서 온실의 열 손실을 줄여 보온효과를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 분석되었다. 모든 피복방식에 대해 야간복사 차단장치 유무에 관계없이 높은 풍속에서의 관류열전달계수가 낮은 풍속에서보다 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 사용된 측정기법을 사용하면 국내에서 생산되는 피복재 및 보온재의 관류열전달 특성을 정량적으로 비교할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

EFFECT OF PRIMARY DOUBLE TEETH ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF PERMANENT SUCCESSORS (유치의 이중치와 계승영구치의 발육에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between morphology and position of deciduous double teeth, and the occurrence of other dental anomalies in the same subject. Four morphological types were indentified according to Ailing's classification: type I, bifid crown-single root; type II, large crown-large root; type III, two fused crowns-single root; type IV, two fused crowns-two fused roots. Fifty-four double teeth were found in a total of 1,803 children, who had visited Wonkwang university hospital for dental treatment from January 1, 2003 to September 30, 2003. All of these children were examined clinically and intra-oral radiographs were taken. The results were as follows; 1. 49 children(2.7%) had more than one double teeth, 5 of these children had two double teeth on the bilateral side. And one child showed triple teeth which has three crowns and three roots. 2. Double teeth were predominantly situated in the anterior region, with a preference for the mandible. The ratio of cases involving central incisor and lateral incisor was higher than other cases. 3. There were 25 cases(46.2%) of missing successors among 54 cases of the double teeth. And, prevalence of the missing teeth was highest in the cases involving maxillary central incisor and lateral incisor. 4. In the case of type II(large crown-large root) had more missing successors.

열유동 상분리막의 구조연구

  • 열유도 상분리법을 이용하여 제조되는 분리막의 구조 변화를 열역학 및 속도론적 관점에서 고찰하였다. Polypropylene과 희석제로서 n-alkanes, n-fatty acids, n,n-bis(2-hydroxyethyl) tallowamine을 model system으로 하였다. 고분자/희석제 system의 상변화의 종류에 따라 다양한 형태의 분리막구조가 얻어졌다. 분리막의 구조에 영향을 미치는 변수로서 고분자/희석제간의 interaction parameter, 희석제의 분자 크기, 용액의 조성, 냉각 조건, 희석제의 결정화 온도 등이며, 각 변수의 역할을 전자현미경을 사용하여 규명하였다. 열유동 상분리법에 의하여 제조된 분리막은 inter-spherulitic 및 intra-spherulitic pore의 이중 구조로 이루어짐을 확인하였다.

  • Scaffold fabrication technology using a 3D printer was developed for damaged bone tissue regeneration. A scaffold for bone tissue regeneration application should be biocompatible, biodegradable, and have an adequate mechanical strength. Moreover, the scaffold should have pores of satisfactory quantity and interconnection. In this study, we used the polymer deposition system (PDS) based on fused deposition modeling (FDM) to fabricate a 3D scaffold. The materials used were polycaprolactone (PCL) and alginic acid sodium salt (sodium alginate, SA). The salt-leaching method was used to fabricate dual pores on the 3D scaffold. The 3D scaffold with dual pores was observed using SEM-EDS (scanning electron microscope-energy dispersive spectroscopy) and evaluated through in-vitro tests using MG63 cells.

  • An analytical study based on physical understandings and aero-thermodynamic theories was conducted to observe the performance characteristics and to derive the essential design parameters of dual ramjet(dual-combustion/dual-mode) propulsion for wide Mach number. The performances and operating limitations of the engines with two types combustors, such as constant pressure- and constant area- combustor, over various flight Mach numbers was investigated. Finally, the transition Mach number from ramjet to scramjet was carried out to optimize performance load balancing of ramjet and scramjet.

Examination of Forced Convection Heat Transfer Performance of a Twist-Vane Spacer Grid for a Dual-Cooled Annular Fuel Assembly (이중냉각 환형핵연료 집합체를 위한 비틀림 혼합날개 지지격자의 강제대류열전달 성능 검토)

  • The forced convection heat transfer performance of a twist-vane spacer grid for a dual-cooled annular fuel assembly was examined experimentally. The twist-vane spacer grid was uniquely designed to enhance mixing inside subchannels and mixing between adjacent subchannels. For testing, a $4{\times}4$ square-arrayed rod bundle with narrow gaps between rods was prepared as the dual-cooled annular fuel assembly to be simulated. The pitch-to-rod diameter ratio of simulated dual-cooled annular fuel assembly was 1.08. The experiments were performed under the following conditions: axial bulk velocity, 1.5 m/s and heat flux, $26kW/m^2$. With regard to the circumferential temperature distribution, the lowest rod-wall temperatures upstream and downstream were measured at the subchannel center and the position toward the tip of twist-vane, respectively. With regard to the axial temperature distribution, behind the twist-vane spacer grid, the rod-wall temperature decreased drastically, and the Nusselt number was enhanced by up to 56 %. The present measured data indicate that the twist-vane spacer grid can effectively improve the forced convection heat transfer in the dual-cooled annular fuel assembly with narrow gaps.

  • In this study, performance tests were conducted to investigate the applicability of a double-tube heat recovery ventilation system. Paper, aluminum, polymer, were investigated as materials for the inner tube using the same exhaust-air volume. In all cases, the temperature exchange efficiency of the aluminum tube was the highest, while the paper tube showed similar results to those of the polymer tube. This probably resulted from the differences in thermal conductivity and thicknesses of the materials. The humidity exchange efficiency was the highest for the paper tubes in all cases, while the aluminum tubes and polymer tubes showed similar results. The total heat exchange efficiency, which includes the values of humidity exchange and temperature exchange, was highest in the case of the paper tube, and the aluminum tube and the polymer tube showed similar results. In the case of the paper tube, sensible heat and latent heat exchange occur at the same time, and the coefficient of energy of the aluminum tube and polymer tube are large values, when to be compared with only applicably sensible heat exchange coefficient of the aluminum tube and the polymer tube of total heat exchange efficiency value. The results of this study could be applied to the design of a ventilation system.
