Toluene-degrading bacterium, Microbacterium esteraromaticum CS3-1 was isolated from the biofilter for the removal of BTEX. Microbacterium esteraromaticum CS3-1 was shown to utilize toluene as a primary carbon and energy source. Effect of mixed BTEX gases on toluene degradation rate by M. esteraromaticum CS3-1 was investigated in this study. Toluene degradation rate was 2.26(only toluene), 2.06(toluene+benzene), 2.57(toluene+ethylbenzene), and 4.74(toluene+xylene) mmole $toluene\;{\cdot}\;g-DCW^{-1}\;{\cdot}\;h^{-1}$. Toluene degradation rate was 2.26(only toluene), 1.23(toluene+benzene+ethylbenzene), 1.52 (toluene+ethylbenzene+xylene), and 1.76(toluene+benzene+ethylbenzene+xylene) mmole $toluene\;{\cdot}\;g-DCW^{-1}\;{\cdot}\;h^{-1}$. The presence of BTEX compounds over three mixtures had a negative effect on toluene degradation rate. Toluene degradation rates were enhanced by the presence of ethylbenzene or xylene, whereas the presence of benzene had a negative effect on toluene degradation rate in comparison with toluene degradation rate when only toluene is existent.

This paper compares the syllable structure of French and Korean analyzing the speech data of these two languages recorded during the actual speech. Reference to the syllable structure of French is made from F. Wioland's research data. As for the Korean data, the primary data are drawn from the 30-minute radio interview in which two male TV anchors in their early 60s talk to each other. The secondary source of the data is collected by having the primary data replicated by the two male announcers in their early 20's broadcasting in the university ra야o station of KAIST. With reference to the data collected in French and Korean, this paper provides the statistical frequency of each type of syllable structure in each language through the acoustic analysis of the spectrograms and renders a phonetic account of the characteristics of each syllable type in the two languages. Also discussed in this paper is the distributional condition in which each syllable structure is laid out in the speech context.

Soil microbial community analysis of farmland soil sprayed with lye in order to use fertilizer in Nigeria was performed. As a control, two kinds of soils not sprayed with lye, located in Eungo and Lagos with general practice in agriculture was selected. Soil sprayed with lye was pH 8.25 through alkalization reaction, while the other soil samples were pH 6.22 and 5.94. Substrate utilization and species diversity index of soil sprayed with lye were low than that of the other soils with the analysis of Biolog ecoplate. As a result of principal component analysis, the relationship between three samples was low. Microbial community analysis was performed by DGGE and most of them were soil uncultured bacterium. Especially, Uncultured Acidobacteria and Uncultured Methylocystis sp., which had been isolated from the rhizosphere of soybean grown in that site were discovered in the soil sprayed with lye.

Resonant converters have several salient features such as high efficiency and low noise. Therefore, ZVS-PWM controlled series resonant converter with active-clamp technique is presented. The combination of an active-clamp technique and resonant circuit makes it possible to control the output voltage of the resonant converter with PWM. This new resonant converter was implemented and has achieved a good controllability. In this paper, the normal load characteristics and abnormal voltage increase in the case of the light load are analyzed. As a result, it is clarified that the stray capacitance of the transformer is a cause of the abnormal voltage increase. Then, it is confirmed that the abnormal voltage increase is suppressed by decreasing the duty ratio. ZVS condition is analyzed. The maximum efficiency of 89% is obtained for the output of 10V and 5A.

Korean sports fashion began after 1990. after 1960, using vinyl, leather, plastic ＆ metal material, Yve st. Laurent, Pierre Cardin, Andre Courrges, they lead sportive look. Head of 20th century, fashion was lead by haute­couture, after 60s. It was changed to pret­a poter. Now it can be called of american casual ＆ sports fashion. This study would be a view of modem fashion trend and process of visualization in the future. I studied in reproduction of view ＆ age of hyper media with visual circumstance ＆ artistic background and mordern fashion trend ＆ sports fashion image in korea. In conclusion, sports fashion image as visualizing aesthetic concept of modern fashion be defined as technology for man, for instance comfort, function, flexibility, simplicity and minimalism. Specically, Sports fashion was began satisfied for function after 90s, we can see variety of easy wear, hip-hop casual, entertainment sports wear, new street sports wear, luxury sports wear.

The aim of this study is to provide a learning method of prosodic rhythm for Taegu North Kyungsang Korean speakers to learn French rhythm more effectively. The rhythmic properties of spoken French and Taegu North Kyungsang Korean dialect are different from each other. Therefore, we try to provide a basic rhythmic model of the two languages by dividing into three parts: syllable, rhythmic unit and accent, and intonation. To do so, we recorded French of Taegu Kyungsang Korean speakers, and then analysed and compared the rhythmic properties of Korean and French by spectrograph. We tried to find rhythmic mistakes in their French pronunciation, and then established a learning model to modify them. After training with the CSL Macro learning model, we observed the output result. However, although learners understand the method we have proposed, an effective method which is possible by repeating practice must be arranged to be actually used in direct verbal communications in a well-developed learning programme. Hence, this study may play an important role at the level of preparation in the setting of an effective rhythmic learning programme.

공명은 외부에서 진동계를 진동시킬 수 있는 힘을 가했을 때 그 고유진동수와 외부에서 가해주는 힘의 진동수가 같으면 그 진동은 심해지고 진폭도 커진다. 진동체가 서로 연결되어 있는 경우, 양쪽 진동수가 같으면 공명에 의해 에너지를 서로 교환하는 현상이다. 본 논문에서는 경남 사천에 소재하는 백천사의 사찰 마당에 있는 청동 대야를 사람이 손잡이를 문지를 때 발생하는 파동 현상을 고찰한 연구이다. 청동 대야에서 발생하는 진동수는 3가지 성분이다. 이 음은 복합음의 일종으로 볼 수 있다. 복합음의 기본 특성은 기본음이 배음보다 음압이 크다. 철제에서 생성되는 음압의 형태와 단조로운 순음인 경우가 많다. 청동 대야의 음압은 맥놀이 특성을 나타내고 있어 진폭변조의 포락선을 형성하고 있다.

Purpose: Hemoperfusion is an effective modality of extracorporeal elimination of toxins in acutely poisoned patients. We evaluated the effect of hemoperfusion on plasma concentration of toxins in patients exposed to certain pesticides. Methods: Eleven patients who were acutely exposed to pesticides participated in our study. We measured plasma pesticide concentration from the whole blood obtained by arterial and venous sources by gas chromatography. Results: The plasma concentrations of only 3 patients was measured. Methidation clearance by hemoperfusion was 82.2%, fenitrothion was 23%, and endosulfan was 0% Conclusion: Measurement of plasma organophosphate concentration is not a practical application. Our results suggest that hemoperfusion is applicable in patients with pesticide intoxication according to clinical status.

Consumers experience various emotional responses to clothing in consumption process. These emotional responses are important in explaining consumer behavior of clothing. The Purpose of the study was to identify the types of emotion that consumers experience in the process of wearing clothes. A questionnaire consisted of 35 words expressing emotion was developed. 110 female college students were surveyed to find out consumption experience of clothing. The empirical study was conducted in two ways. One is that the subjects were asked to respond six-point unipolar scale of emotional adjectives to identify the various emotions that consumers experienced. The other is that four different wearing situations were described for the survey and then the subjects were asked to respond same questionnaire. The data surveyed for research were analyzed by factor analysis. The conclusion of empirical study was as follows. The types of emotion that consumers experienced at various situstions were: pleasure, arousal, unpleasure, aversion, dominance, sandness, security and tension.

This research was conducted to find out what the general globalization trends of Korean fashion enterprises are, and what the factors required the Korean fashion enterprises to improve the global competitiveness under the globalized circumstances are. The data were collected from the survey by questionnaire on Korean leading fashion enterprises and the Directory of Companies Branching out abroad in 2000/2001(Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, 2000). The Results of the research are as follows: first, Korean fashion enterprises expanded evenly worldwide in the sales and distribution functions while relying heavily on Asian countries for manufacturing functions; Secondly, the globalization of Korean leading fashion enterprises was progressed, but still remains at the stage of the sales of manufacturing capability or the sales of low costs products rather than at the stage of manufacturing products of high added-value or the sales of design or marketing capability. Thirdly, the factors for the global competitiveness of the Korean fashion enterprises are related to capability of low cost, quick response, product development, marketing, internationalization and high value added.
