  • Recently, empowering leadership, which leads to psychological motivation by giving members authority, responsibility, and autonomy for decision-making and instilling a sense of ownership in their work, as well as the suitability between individual members and their jobs, has been emphasized as determining the success of an organization in a rapidly changing environment. In addition, jobcrafting is attracting attention as an action that proactively readjusts the physical, cognitive, and relational scope of work by changing beliefs and attitudes toward a given task. Therefore, this study examines the structural relationship between empowering leadership, person-job fit, jobcrafting, knowledge-sharing behavior, and innovation behavior. A survey was conducted on members of travel agencies in Busan and Gyeongnam, and the results showed that first, empowering leadership had a positive (+) significant effect on jobcrafting, and person-job fit had a positive (+) significant effect on jobcrafting. Second, it was found that jobcrafting had a positive (+) significant effect on knowledge-sharing behavior and innovation behavior, and finally, knowledge-sharing behavior had a positive (+) significant effect on innovation behavior, so all hypotheses were adopted. This study shows that in order to induce knowledge-sharing behavior and innovation behavior of members, it is necessary to create an environment in which jobcrafting can take place, increasing the level of empowering leadership, person-job fit, and increasing jobcrafting.

  • The valuation of infrastructure assets is typically conducted using the straight-line method, which employs the depreciated replacement cost as a basis. However, this approach has the limitation of failing to accurately reflect the actual value of the facility. In light of these considerations, the performance-based depreciation (PBD) method has been proposed as a means of evaluating the asset value of bridges on the basis of their performance, although it is not designed to take account of the environmental characteristics of individual bridges. This study proposes a hazard-performance based depreciation (HPBD) method that considers the risk level of individual bridges in the PBD method proposed in previous studies. The applicability of the proposed method was evaluated on more than 8,000 bridges. The risk factors for deterioration of bridges were selected, the hazard level of individual bridges was evaluated, and weights based on the hazard level were applied to the PBD method. The evaluation resulted in a present value comparable to that of the PBD method and a relatively high future value. It is postulated that the HPBD method, which considers the risk characteristics of individual bridges, can be used for a more reasonable evaluation and decision-making process.

  • The widespread adoption of the Internet of Things (IoT) has enhanced efficiency and convenience across various fields, but it has also led to a surge in security threats. Among these, IoT botnets are particularly concerning as they can rapidly infect a large number of devices and launch various types of attacks, making them a significant security threat. In IoT environments where implementing security measures on individual devices is challenging, establishing a security monitoring system for real-time detection and response is essential to mitigate the risks posed by botnets. In the field of security monitoring, it is crucial not only to detect botnets but also to analyze their detailed behaviors to devise effective countermeasures. Security experts devote considerable effort to analyzing the payloads of detected threats to understand botnet behavior and develop appropriate responses. However, analyzing all threats manually is time-consuming and costly. To address this, our study proposes an XAI-based network feature extraction methodology to enhance the effectiveness of IoT botnet behavior analysis. This study proposes a practical security monitoring methodology for IoT botnet behavior analysis and response, consisting of three steps: 1) BPE and TF-IDF based payload feature extraction, 2) XAI-based feature importance analysis, and 3) visualization of decision rationale based on feature importance. This approach provides security experts with intuitive visual evidence of IoT attacks and reduces analysis time, contributing to faster decision-making and response strategy development in security monitoring.

  • In the global path finding of moving objects, the starting point and destination are essential prerequisites. In ship navigation, the potential destinations include not only docks but also anchorages used for various purposes such as waiting for ship entries and exits, and ship repairs. These anchorages are designed spaces customized to coastal environments, and to enable path finding, the destination can be considered the berthing location at which a ship anchors. Therefore, this study proposes a method for identifying berthing locations within these designated areas (anchorages) by exploring spaces not occupied by other ships, using sampling-based search algorithms such as PRM and computational geometry algorithms. Additionally, to validate the developed algorithms, simulations were conducted targeting No.11 anchorage in Mokpo Port, South Korea. The indicate that feasible berthing locations in unoccupied spaces can be identified. Additionally the results are expected to contribute to future ship decision-making and support anchorage management in vessel traffic services (VTS).

  • To monitor the environment of land surface change is considered as an important research field since those parameters are related with land use, climate change, meteorological study, agriculture modulation, surface energy balance, and surface environment system. For the change detection, many different methods have been presented for distributing more detailed information with various tools from ground based measurement to satellite multi-spectral sensor. Recently, using high resolution satellite data is considered the most efficient way to monitor extensive land environmental system especially for higher spatial and temporal resolution. In this study, we use two different spatial resolution satellites; the one is SPOT/VEGETATION with 1 km spatial resolution to detect coarse resolution of the area change and determine objective threshold. The other is Landsat satellite having high resolution to figure out detailed land environmental change. According to their spatial resolution, they show different observation characteristics such as repeat cycle, and the global coverage. By correlating two kinds of satellites, we can detect land surface change from mid resolution to high resolution. The K-mean clustering algorithm is applied to detect changed area with two different temporal images. When using solar spectral band, there are complicate surface reflectance scattering characteristics which make surface change detection difficult. That effect would be leading serious problems when interpreting surface characteristics. For example, in spite of constant their own surface reflectance value, it could be changed according to solar, and sensor relative observation location. To reduce those affects, in this study, long-term Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) with solar spectral channels performed for atmospheric and bi-directional correction from SPOT/VEGETATION data are utilized to offer objective threshold value for detecting land surface change, since that NDVI has less sensitivity for solar geometry than solar channel. The surface change detection based on long-term NDVI shows improved results than when only using Landsat.

  • The purpose of this study is to present the specific ways of successful localization by analyzing the success and failures case for localization within the framework of the strategic models through a theoretical background and strategic models of localization. The strategic models of localization are divided by management aspects such as the localization of product and sourcing, the localization of human resources, the localization of marketing, the localization of R&D, harmony with a local community and delegation of authority between headquarters and local subsidiaries. The results, by comparing and analyzing the success and failures case for localization of individual companies operating in India, indicate that in terms of localization of product and sourcing, there are successful companies which procure a components locally and produce a suitable model which local consumers prefer and the failed companies which can not meet local consumers' needs. In case of localization of human resources, most companies recognize the importance of this portion and make use of superior human resource aggressively through a related education. In case of localization of marketing, It is found that the successful companies perform pre-market research & management and build a effective marketing skills & after service network and select local business partner which has a technical skills and carry out a business activities, customer support, complaint handling with their own organization. In terms of localization of R&D, the successful major companies establish and operate R&D center to promote a suitable model for local customers. In part of harmony with a local community, it shows that companies which made a successful localization understand the cultural environment and contribute to the community through CSR. In aspect of delegation of authority between headquarters and local subsidiaries, it is found that most of Korean companies are very weak for this part. there is a tendency to be determined by the head office rather than local subsidiaries. Implication of this thesis is that Korean enterprises in India should carry forward localization of products and components, foster of local human resource who recognize management and system of company and take part in voluntary market strategy decision, wholly owned subsidiary, establishment and operation of R & D center, understanding of local culture and system, corporate social responsibility, autonomy in management.

  • Technology commercialization creates effective economic value by linking the company's R & D processes and outputs to the market. This technology commercialization is important in that a company can retain and maintain a sustained competitive advantage. In order for a specific technology to be commercialized, it goes through the stage of technical planning, technology research and development, and commercialization. This process involves a lot of time and money. Therefore, the duration and cost of technology commercialization are important decision information for determining the market entry strategy. In addition, it is more important information for a technology investor to rationally evaluate the technology value. In this way, it is very important to scientifically estimate the duration and cost of the technology commercialization. However, research on technology commercialization is insufficient and related methodology are lacking. In this study, we propose an evaluation model that can estimate the duration and cost of R & D technology commercialization for small and medium-sized enterprises. To accomplish this, this study collected the public data of the National Science & Technology Information Service (NTIS) and the survey data provided by the Small and Medium Business Administration. Also this study will develop the estimation model of commercialization duration and cost of R&D performance on using these data based on the market approach, one of the technology valuation methods. Specifically, this study defined the process of commercialization as consisting of development planning, development progress, and commercialization. We collected the data from the NTIS database and the survey of SMEs technical statistics of the Small and Medium Business Administration. We derived the key variables such as stage-wise R&D costs and duration, the factors of the technology itself, the factors of the technology development, and the environmental factors. At first, given data, we estimates the costs and duration in each technology readiness level (basic research, applied research, development research, prototype production, commercialization), for each industry classification. Then, we developed and verified the research model of each industry classification. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. Firstly, it is reflected in the technology valuation model and can be used to estimate the objective economic value of technology. The duration and the cost from the technology development stage to the commercialization stage is a critical factor that has a great influence on the amount of money to discount the future sales from the technology. The results of this study can contribute to more reliable technology valuation because it estimates the commercialization duration and cost scientifically based on past data. Secondly, we have verified models of various fields such as statistical model and data mining model. The statistical model helps us to find the important factors to estimate the duration and cost of technology Commercialization, and the data mining model gives us the rules or algorithms to be applied to an advanced technology valuation system. Finally, this study reaffirms the importance of commercialization costs and durations, which has not been actively studied in previous studies. The results confirm the significant factors to affect the commercialization costs and duration, furthermore the factors are different depending on industry classification. Practically, the results of this study can be reflected in the technology valuation system, which can be provided by national research institutes and R & D staff to provide sophisticated technology valuation. The relevant logic or algorithm of the research result can be implemented independently so that it can be directly reflected in the system, so researchers can use it practically immediately. In conclusion, the results of this study can be a great contribution not only to the theoretical contributions but also to the practical ones.
