  • ${\blacksquare}$ 목적 * 우리나라 주력산업분야(자동차, 조선, 항공, 기계, 로봇, 반도체 등)에 절단, 가공, 용접, 리소그라피, 마킹, 열처리, 합성, 표면처리 등의 방식으로 활용되고, 융 복합산업(의료, 에너지, 영상, 군수, 신소재, 센서)에 광원으로 응용되는 산업용 고출력 레이저의 산업 생태계 분석을 통하여 기존 산업의 고부가화와 신산업의 경쟁력을 견인 ${\blacksquare}$ 주요현황 * (시장현황) 2011년부터 2014년까지 고출력 레이저의 시장규모는 4,452백만불(5조 463억원)에서 5,255백만불(5조 9,565억원)으로 연평균 5.7% 성장 전망 * (제품기술동향) 3세대 레이저인 광섬유 레이저와 고출력 다이오드 레이저, DPSS 레이저 등이 기술혁신을 거듭하면서 1, 2세대 레이저를 대체해 가면서 높은 수준의 성장을 거듭할 것으로 전망. 산업용레이저의 주요선진국 대비 국내 기술수준은 전체적으로 44.5%정도로 취약 * (기업동향) Coherent, Trumpf, Cymer, IPG Photonics, Rofin-Sinar 5개사가 전체시장의 55%이상을 점유하고 있으며 대부분 수직계열화를 통해 경쟁력 확보. 최근 중국의 Han's 사가 자국정부의 지원을 통해 급 부상 ${\blacksquare}$ 시사점 * 산업용 레이저를 이용한 응용기술 부분 투자가 과거에는 단기 경제적 성취는 이로웠으나, 현재에 이르러 레이저 혹은 레이저 시스템이 필요할 때마다 외국에서 관련 핵심부품, 모듈 등을 수입해야하는 실정에 이르렀음. 향후 레이저 국산화를 위한 노력과 함께 후방 소재.부품의 전략적 투자를 통해 산업의 건강한 선순환생태 환경을 조성하여 산업 경쟁력을 갖추어야 함.

  • In this paper the conceptual design and development of a compact vertical type soft x-ray microscope is described. This x-ray microscope operates in the water window wavelength region(2.3 ${\sim}$ 4.4nm), where natural contrast between carbon(protein) and oxygen(water) allows imaging of unstained biological material their natural, hydrated environment. Until now, operational x-ray microscopes are based on synchrotron radiation sources, which limit their accessibility. Many biologists would benefit from having the x-ray microscope as a tool among other tools in their own laboratory, For this purpose we introduced the compact vertical type soft X-ray microscope with 50 nm resolution for biomedical application. The compact vertical type soft x-ray microscope is based on a laser plasma x-ray source, doubled ellipsoidal condenser reflective optics, diffractive zone plate optics and MCP coupled with CCD to record an x-ray image.

탄소나노튜브 첨가에 따른 복합나노섬유의 기계적-광학적 특성 변화

  • 나노섬유는 지름이 수십에서 수백 나노미터(1나노미터=10억분의1m)에 불과한 초극세 물질로 비표면적이 매우 크고[1], 제작이 간편하여, 사용되어지는 고분자의 종류에 따라 에너지 환경 의료 관련 분야에서 전극소재 필터재 피복재 인공 피부등 다양한 분야에서의 활용이 가능하여 전 세계적으로 연구개발이 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 그 자체만으로 응용하기에는 그 기계적 전기적 특성의 한계 때문에 응용의 다양성에 제약을 받고 있다. 그러나 그 자체만으로 응용하기에는 그 기계적 열적 전기적 특성을 가진 탄소나노튜브를 첨가한 복합나노섬유에 의해 그 응용영역의 한계를 넓혀가고 있다.[2] 본 연구에서는 전도성 고분자인 polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA)에 multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs)를 첨가한 복합나노섬유를 전기방사법(electrospinning method)을 통해서 제조하였다. [2~3] CNTs 첨가농도에 따른 제조된 복합나노섬유의 형상변화와 섬유내의 CNTs 배열상태를 각각 주사전자 현미경(scanning electron microscope: SEM)과 투과전자현미경(transmission electron microscope: TEM)을 이용하여 관찰하였다. 또한, 복합나노섬유의 광학 특성 변화를 CNTs 첨가농도에 따라서 FT-IR과 Raman spectroscopy등을 이용하여 조사하였으며, 나노섬유의 tensile strength의 측정을 통해 CNTs 함량에 따른 기계적 특성 변화를 분석하였다.

질화 및 Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) 동시처리가 가능한 장치 및 처리물의 특성평가

  • 표면경도와 내마모특성을 가진 질화처리는 다양한 철강재료에 적용되고 있다. 플라즈마를 이용한 질화법은 다른 질화처리법에 비해 처리시간이 짧고 폐수 및 배기가스와 같은 오염물질의 발생이 거의 없어 친환경적이며 낮은 온도에서 처리가 가능하기 때문에 변형 및 금속학적 물성의 변화가 없는 것이 특징이다. 한편 DLC 처리법은 물리화학적 특성이 다이아몬드와 유사하면서도 저온 합성이 가능하고, 표면이 평활하다는 합성기술상의 장점을 가지고 있기 때문에 많은 분야에서의 응용이 연구되고 있는 재료이다. 특히 고경도, 고윤활성 등의 물리적, 화학적, 광학적 특성과 화학적 안정성과 신체적합성 등의 특성으로 인해 기계부품, 공구, 광학기기, 전자부품, 자동차부품과 의료용 기기분야 등에 적용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 질화처리 및 DLC 처리를 한 챔버내에서 동시처리하여 그 특성을 평가하였다. 이와같이 얻어진 처리물을 Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope를 이용하여 단면분석을 하였고, 시편의 경도는 나노인덴터로 측정하였다. ball-on-disk 방식의 마모시험기를 이용하여 내마모특성을 관찰하였으며, 접합력을 측정하기 위해 스크래치 테스트를 실시하였다.

Clinical Applications of Intracoronary OCT (Invited Paper) (심혈관 OCT의 임상적 응용)

  • The most common cause of a heart attack is known as coronary artery disease, which narrows the arteries and reduces the blood flow to the heart. To treat coronary artery stenosis, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) (a nonsurgical procedure to install a stent, which holds the artery wall open) is performed. Intracoronary optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a catheter-based, invasive optical imaging system. To determine whether PCI is appropriate, and to perform stent evaluation in a catheterization laboratory, OCT examinations are carried out. This review details the fundamental principles and technological status of intracoronary OCT imaging, and discusses the ongoing clinical applications to determine the benefits of OCT-guided PCI.

  • Currently, x-ray is mostly used for the diagnosis of dental cavity and osteoporosis. The osteoporosis is broadly defined as a decrease in the amount of bone mass per unit volume of the bone. Clinically the manifestation of low bone mass presents a clinical problem to the general population as an increase in fracture risk and especially in aging population[1]. Although the amount of the irradiated x-ray to the human body for the clinical diagnosis is relatively small, the exposition of the x-ray to the human body should be minimized as much as possible, since the x-ray is an ionizing radiation. To investigate other possible systems replacing X-ray, ultrasonic imaging and MRI(Magneto-Resonance-Imaging) systems were studied. Unfortunately, an effective and safe diagnosis tool for detecting the dental cavity and the osteoporosis is currently lacking. (omitted)

A Systematic Review of Trends for Image Quality Improvement in Light Microscopy (광학 현미경 영상 화질개선의 추세에 관한 체계적 고찰)

  • Image noise reduction algorithm performs important functions in light microscopy. This study aims to systematically review the research trend of types and performance evaluation methods of noise reduction algorithm in light microscopic images. A systematic literature search of three databases of publications from January 1985 to May 2020 was conducted; of the 139 publications reviewed, 16 were included in this study. For each research result, the subjects were categorized into four major frameworks-1. noise reduction method, 2. imaging technique, 3. imaging type, and 4. evaluation method-and analyzed. Since 2003, related studies have been conducted and published, and the number of papers has increased over the years and begun to decrease since 2016. The most commonly used method of noise reduction algorithm for light microscopy images was wavelet-transform-based technology, which was mostly applied in basic systems. In addition, research on the real experimental image was performed more actively than on the simulation condition, with the main case being to use the comparison parameter as an evaluation method. This systematic review is expected to be extremely useful in the future method of numerically analyzing the noise reduction efficiency of light microscopy images.

Opto-Physical Properties of Ophthalmic Lens Polymer Containing σ, m, p-Substituted Difluoroaniline as Additives (σ, m, p-위치로 치환된 Difluoroaniline을 첨가제로 사용한 안의료용 렌즈 고분자의 물리·광학적 특성)

  • Purpose: The functional ophthalmic lenses containing fluorine-substituted aniline group (2,4-difluoroaniline, 2,6-difluoroaniline, 3,4-difluoroaniline) were manufactured and the physical and optical characteristics of copolymerized ophthalmic lens were investigated. Methods: HEMA (2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate), NVP (N-vinyl pyrrolidone), MA (methacrylic acid), the cross-linker EGDMA (ethylene glycol dimethacrylate) and the initiator AIBN (azobisisobutyronitrile) were used as a basic combination and fluorine-substituted aniline group (2,4-difluoroaniline, 2,6-difluoroaniline, 3,4-difluoroaniline) were used as additives for preparing the hydrogel soft contact lenses. The hydrogel ophthalmic lens was manufactured by cast mould method and the ophthalmic lenses were stored in a 0.9% NaCl normal saline for 24 hrs. Results: The optical transmittance of the sample with addition 2,4-difluoroaniline showed that the UV-B(9.8~51.4%), UV-A(58.8~79.2%) and visible transmittance(87.0~90.4%). In the case of 2,6-difluoroaniline were measured the UV-B(80.2~83.2%), UV-A(85.8~86.4%), and visible transmittance(90.8~91.4%). Also, the optical transmittance of ophthalmic lens containing 3,4-difluoroaniline were measured the UV-B transmittance of 3.8~30.4%, UV-A transmittance of 47.8%~74.4% and the visible transmittance of 86.2~91.0% respectively. Conclusions: Based on the results of this study, 2,4-difluoroaniline and 3,4-difluoroaniline can be used effectively as additive for UV-blocking ophthalmic contact lenses.

  • Future of Busan New Port may depend even on the efficient use of the port hinterland. Accordingly, selection of which industry according to which standard in the port hinterland is another task. In order to solve this problem, it analyzed the structure in international division of labor with China and Japan, which are possessing considerable portion in the trading volume with our country, and the export-import structure of Busan Port against China and Japan, by using RCA index and GL index as well as export-import results. In addition to this, the proper industry was selected on the basis of 10 strategic industries for development in Busan. According to the analytical results, the industries, which will be induced in the hinterland of Busan New Port, include textile clothing, pulp printing matter, jewelry, basic metal nonmetallic product, machine lectric product, automobile, shipbuilding, optics accurate machinery medical treatment musical instrument, nano material, fuel battery, aerospace and intelligent robot.

Antioxidant Activity of Dopamine-Modified Hydrogels Containing Cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid (도파민이 적용된 히알루론산 가교 하이드로겔의 항산화 활성)

  • Purpose : : In this study, we made dopamine-functionalized hydrogels containing a cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA) network and investigated their antioxidant activities. Methods : In the first step, we made poly hydroxyethyl methacrylate(p(HEMA))-based hydrogels post-modified with an interpenetrating polymer network(IPN) structure composed of HA polymers and a p(HEMA) network. The subsequent functionalization with dopamine via an amide coupling reaction resulted in the antioxidant hydrogels. Their antioxidant activities were evaluated using 2,2'-azino-bis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) and 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging assays. Results : The dopamine-modified hydrogels exhibited significant antioxidant activities, when compared to unmodified control. The presence of the HA-IPN structure improved the surface wettability of the hydrogel while dopamine-conjugated IPN hydrogel did not demonstrate the significant difference compared to hydrogel control. Dopamine-modified hydrogels exhibited high transmittance (>88%). Conclusion : The results demonstrate that the development of antioxidant hydrogels based on dopamine-conjugated HA-IPN structures may help develop ophthalmic and biomedical materials.
