Real-time, location-based notification service app for first aid to protect golden time in case of emergency patients (응급환자 발생 시 골든타임을 지키기 위한 응급처치 실시간 위치 기반 알림 서비스 애플리케이션)

  • 본 논문에서는 응급상황 발생 시, 응급 처치가 가능한 주변 사용자에게 알람을 보내 구급대원이 오기 전까지 응급 구조를 원활하게 도와주는 안드로이드 애플리케이션 시스템 구현 결과를 보인다. Google Map API를 이용하여 사용자의 위치를 실시간으로 지도에 표시한다. 그리고 FireBase Cloud Messaging API를 이용하여 애플리케이션 이용자들에게 알람을 보낸다. 또한, WebRTC API를 이용하여 애플리케이션 안에서 음성 및 영상 통화를 할 수 있다. 애플리케이션을 켜지 않아도 위젯을 활용하여 응급상황을 신고할 수 있도록 하여 애플리케이션의 활용성을 높였다.

Influencing factors of the turnover intention in hospital paramedics (병원 내 1급 응급구조사의 이직의도 영향 요인)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study is to investigate the influencing factors of turnover intention in hospital paramedics. The factors included the job condition, job stress, and turnover intention. Methods: The subjects were 200 paramedics in hospital. Data were analyzed using frequency, t-test or one way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression analysis with SPSS WIN 20.0 program. Results: Job stress was 3.59 points; job condition, 2.96 points; turnover intention 3.64 points. When the job stress was high, the satisfaction with job condition was very low and the turnover intention increased. When the job satisfaction was high, turnover intention decreased. factors affecting the turnover intention were annual income, turnover frequency, workload, and working department, role conflict, and personal relationship. Conclusion: It is necessary to establish the job description of paramedics and improve the working condition in the hospitals.

Effect of simulation-based practice program on ACLS study of paramedic students (시뮬레이션을 활용한 전문심장구조술(ACLS) 실습프로그램의 효과 - 응급구조과 학생을 대상으로 -)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study is to confirm the effect of ACLS program using simulations and understanding self-efficacy, practice satisfaction, learning attitude, and interest in ACLS after theory classes and simulation-based practice. Methods: A non-equivalent simulation-based practice post test design was used. The participants were 28 paramedic students. The students participated in simulation-based practice for 3 weeks and conventional instruction class for 12 weeks. Results: The students showed higher level of self-efficacy(p=.043), practice satisfaction(p<.001) and learning attitude(p=.003) compared to the conventional lecture students. Conclusion: Level of self-efficacy after simulation-based practice for ACLS was higher than that of self-efficacy after conventional instruction classes. Level of practice satisfaction was also higher. Academic achievement after simulation-based practice was higher than that in conventional instruction classes.

A Study on the Tasks of Emergeny Medical Technician - Focusing on Automatic External Defibrillator - (응급구조사의 업무에 관한 연구 -자동 체외 제세동기를 중심으로-)

  • This study aims to examine the relative importance of various tasks of EMT and to examine knowledge level and problems associated with AED. It is based on the survey of paramedics and 119 rescures. The results for this study were as follows ; Among the tasks of EMT, 'foreignbody removal from mouth' were rated as the most important, followed by '$O_2$ supply', 'CPR', 'Intubation for CPR', '$O_2$ supply' were rates as the most necessary, followed by 'foreignbody removal from mouth', 'external bleeding control'. In terms of the knowledge level about AED, survey respondents are most knowledgeable about 'role of other rescures during the preparation for AED' and 'treatment after 3 AEDS. The most important reason that the uses of AED is delayed is 'unclear boundary of treatment directed by medical control'. The results of the study suggest that we need guideline for EMT's tasks, efficient communication system between 119 and emergency health are center for prompt AED, and training and education program for AED.

Emergency Medical Technician's Works within Hospital at Partial Areas (일 지역 병원내의 응급구조사 업무 - 광주광역시를 중심으로 -)

  • This study examines and analyzes EMTs works in hospital with 48 subjects working for hospitals at partial areas. It aims to provide basic materials for practice-centered learning to students at Dept. of Emergency Care and information of roles of EMTs. As a result of study, it was found that EMTs works included classification of severity of patients when they came to hosptial, supervision and move of serious case, move of patients and a member of cardiopulmonary resuscitation team as well as filling empty of medical staff and playing medical assistant under direct control of doctors and they played important roles in medical examination. These results showed that EMTs could extend their areas of service within hospital and they could have a positive influence on their seniors' employment.

  • Purpose: It was to induce higher-level papers which can make Korea's Emergency Medical Service System better. Methods: This study was conducted by analysing of 250 papers published in the Journal of Korean Society of Emergency Medical Technology from 1997 to 2005. Results: Most of papers which dealt with non-clinic(94.4%), non-job description(76.8%), non-scope of practice(94.4%), other than AHA's recommendations such as response intervals and survival rates from cardiac arrest(90.4%) were written by professors(61.6%) and 1-2 authors(72.8%). Conclusion: It brought up some needs of enlargement of new members.

An analysis of the actual status and need for counseling in paramedic students (응급구조(학)과 학생들의 상담현황 및 상담요구도 분석)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to examine the consultation status and request level of paramedic students. The findings were expected to offer basic data for establishing consultation plans that meet the demands of students. Methods: Questionnaires were distributed among 153 students at two universities, and analyses were conducted based on the responses of 140 students. Results: The preferred counselor was the advising professor. The most common response was that holding two consultation sessions per semester was the most ideal. Regarding topic of consultation, career and employment scored the highest preference. Conclusion: Students had high request levels for consultation. Given the diversity in the themes of consultation, schools, should improve the capacities of advising and other professors in the department for professional consultation.

A phenomenological study of paramedic student's experience on simulation (응급구조학과 학생의 시뮬레이션 경험에 관한 현상학적 연구)

  • Purpose : This study was attempted to explore the paramedic student's experience on simulation education. Methods : Data were collected through in-depth interviews from 15 paramedic students. The study was analyzed by phenomenological method, specifically Colaizzi's method. From the protocol, significant statements were organized into formulated meanings. Results : The formulated meanings were identified 35 themes, 12 theme clusters, and 6 categories. The 6 categories include burden of demonstration, role experience as a paramedic, confidence in field treatment, sense of disjunction caused by difference from real situation, realization and learning by oneself, and sense of stability from hypothetical situation. Conclusion : This study suggested that, even though some negative perceptions were observed, simulation education will fit as a replacement for the field practice of paramedic's students given that more field-like practice environment and repetitive simulation education are present.

Proposed oath and ethics code for emergency medical technicians (응급구조사 선서 및 윤리강령의 제안)

  • Purpose: The purpose of our study was to introduce an oath and ethics code for emergency medical technicians (EMTs). Methods: The proposed oath and ethics code for the EMTs was evaluated using a modified Delphi technique. This oath and ethics code was presented at Korean association of emergency medical technician conference and was revised by experts in emergency medical services. Results: We examined the ethics codes for other allied healthcare professionals regarding the topics of human rights, health promotion, acting as an advocate, ethics, cooperation, observance, human rights, right to know, self-determination, confidentiality, and professionalism. These elements are reflected in our proposed oath and ethics code for EMTs. Conclusion: The proposed oath and ethics code would raise the professional status of EMTs.

  • 본 논문에서는 응급구조의 신고 상황에서의 수보자의 보다 정확하고 신속한 대응를 위하여 수화자의 음향환경을 분석하여 주변상황에 대한 정보를 알고자 심화 신경망 기반의 음성 부재구간 검출 기법을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리즘은 음성 신호에서의 23차의 Mel-filter bank를 추출하고 이를 심화 신경망 기법을 이용하여 음성 부재구간을 검출한다. 객관적인 성능 평가를 위해 제안된 기법은 실제 응급구조 상황에서 평가되었으며, 기존의 음성검출기를 이용한 음성 부재구간 검출 성능에 비하여 향상된 성능을 보였다.
