Educational Strategy for Practical Convergence using Module Curriculum in University (대학의 실무 융합교육을 위한 융합모듈 교육 전략)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a strategy to educate the core contents of various major fields in practical and convergent ways in universities in order to prepare for the 4th industrial revolution era. First, convergence field is established in the university curriculum in addition to the existing major and the liberal arts field. Second, convergence courses are created in connection with job ability, which are major curriculum but only for students in other departments. Third, convergence courses are organized in the form of module curriculum, which is a small-sized and independent curriculum consisting of 4 courses. D University, one of the local private universities in Korea, has provided such convergence module education since 2016, and satisfactory results have been obtained in the course enrollment rate and the course evaluation, etc. By combining these convergence modules in various ways, it is possible to easily create customized majors required and designed by local companies at low cost.

  • 다중센서데이터 융합시스템(MSDFS)은 여러 센서로부터 획득된 이질의 데이터를 정규화된 포맷으로 융합하고 단일 센서에서의 획득오차를 최소한으로 줄여 표적의 정확한 식별 및 판단을 지원하는 시스템이다. 이 시스템들은 고유의 기능을 수행하는 모듈들에 대한 고수준의 재사용성을 요구하므로, 현재의 소프트웨어공학 기법을 적용시 공통부분에 대한 효율적 설계가 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 시스템 개발에 이러한 비효율적인 요소를 제거하는 제품-계열 개발방법론을 MSDFS의 임베디드 소프트웨어 설계에 적용한다. 이를 위해 분석 대상에 대한 영역지정에서부터 재사용가능한 컴포넌트의 식별까지 설계 하며, 마지막으로 설계된 모델에 대한 검증을 위해 GQM 패러다임을 적용한다. 또한 산출물에 대한 성능평가 기준을 제시하여 시스템 개발을 효과적으로 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시한다.

Development of a Digital Textbook on 'Structure and Contraction Mechanism of Skeletal Muscle' with the Learning Model for Biomimicry-Based Convergence (생체모방 기반 융합 학습 모델을 적용한 '골격근의 구조와 수축'에 대한 디지털 교재 개발)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a digital textbook on 'structure and contraction mechanism of skeletal muscle' with the learning model for biomimicry-based convergence. The unit of 'structure and contraction mechanism of skeletal muscle' is a part of Life Science I in high school. The convergence learning model was designed with three phases of biomimicry-based convergence (Exploration-Design-Implementation) including 3D modeling & printing. The developed digital textbook was composed of 8 sessions which contains the following learning contents : Exploration of skeletal muscle, creative designing of skeletal muscle using sketch application and 3D modeling, convergent implementing of the designed using 3D printing, exploration of muscle contraction, creative designing of muscle contraction using sketch application and 3D modeling, and convergent implementing of the designed using 3D printing. Each session is also involved in the contents of gallery widgets, media widgets, keynote widgets, sketch widgets, the cloud, polling widgets, and review widgets for interactive and mobile learning. After administering the developed digital textbook to 20 high school students, it was shown a positive effectiveness on life science learning for high school students. Moreover, the digital textbook was evaluated as to promote student's abilities on creative designs and implementation related to biomimicry-based convergence. The digital textbook was also shown a favorable response on students' interest and self-directed learning on life science.

A Methodology for Finding the Convergence Research Area by Measuring Convergence Index in Government Research Institutes (융합지수 측정을 통한 출연연 융합연구영역 발굴모형 연구)

  • In conjunction with securing R&D competitiveness through technology convergence, there is a growing interest in the strategy to derive innovation based on the measurement of convergence. In this paper, we present a data-based model that suggests convergence strategies for the research projects of government research institutes (GRIs) in Korea. The convergence characteristics of the research projects are represented by inherent attributes of technology and behavioral attributes of actors. The measuring process of the proxy variables (Rao-Stirling and Herfindahl-Hirschman Indices) for each attributes are proposed. These two indices are used to construct the convergence diagram, through which the research projects of GRIs are distributed into four areas: AllianceIntra, Alliance-Inter, Competition, Mission-Oriented. Based on the convergence diagram proposed in this study the convergence index is measured to derive 30 convergence research areas of GRIs. As a result, we expect to provide appropriate guidelines for setting the policy direction of the convergence research projects.

Analysis on the Utilization of History of Science and STEAM and Elementary School Teachers' Perceptions about Design-based STEAM Instruction Applying the History of Science in Science Class (과학사와 융합인재교육의 적용 실태와 과학사를 활용한 설계 기반의 융합인재교육 수업에 대한 초등교사들의 인식)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the utilization of history of science and STEAM and the elementary school teachers' perceptions about design-based STEAM instruction applying the history of science in science class. To research the utilization of the history of science and STEAM in elementary science class, educational value of design-based STEAM instruction applying the history of science, the questionnaire was revised based on research conducted by Lee & Shin(2014), Park et al.(2010), Shin & Han(2011) and developed questionnaire a total of 20 questions. It was administered to reply the questionnaire to 201 teachers of elementary school in D and G area. The results of this study were as follows: elementary school teachers did not teach actively the history of science, made it read students by simply introducing himself. They did not teach actively STEAM due to not enough time(busy to take a magnitude). They were difficult to teach, but the most focused on the 'Creative Problem-solving' process. And elementary school teachers perceived positively about the educational value of design-based STEAM instruction applying the history of science. Especially, they perceived that it can help elementary school students find a hint for solving the problem through examples of cases of scientific principles and a scientist. In conclusion, it implicates that it is need to regard elementary school teachers' perceptions on application of the history of science and STEAM, and develop specific design-based STEAM program applying the history of science in order to be applied successfully in elementary school for the STEAM settlement.

  • In the design of an automotive structural component, one of the more important tasks for a design engineer is to determine the life of the component and to ensure that the component will not fail prematurely. In order to accomplish this, a design engineer will first use simple section analysis to come up with a section shape in the concept design stage and use more advanced analysis for stress level. At this stage, the analysis should focus on understanding overall behavior in terms of load paths and gross stress levels. A model that is adequate for a stiffness analysis of the structure will usually provide an adequate level of stress information in the design process. To perform a detailed stress analysis, the structure models must have the detailed local areas such as stress concentrations or force(or displacement) distributions. This paper is to present the design considerations for the stress analysis of automotive structure.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 다양한 지식을 습득 및 응용하는 데 한계가 있으며, 급격한 사회의 변화를 수용할 수 없는 기존의 분과학문체제의 문제를 해결하기 위해 미래핵심 성장동력인 로봇을 활용하여 학문융합교육 프로그램을 설계하는데 있다. 이를 통해 초 중등정보통신기술교육(ICT)운영지침의 폐지로 학교에서 사양화 되는 컴퓨터교육의 중요성을 부각시키고, 창의성과 융합을 강조하는 2009년 개정교육과정의 창의적 체험활동에서 자연스럽게 활용되기 위함이다. 이에 교육용 로봇인 피코 크리켓을 활용한 학문융합교육 프로그램 교수 학습 모형의 설계를 통해 다양한 영역 및 교과에 적용하는 기초가 되고자 한다.

  • 본 논문은 대형 매장 및 편의점 등과 같은 상품의 구매와 판매가 이루어지는 시스템에서 RFID를 활용하여 무인 결제 서비스를 지원한다. 제안 기술은 사용자가 결제처리, 재고관리 기능을 갖는다. 결재 시스템은 상품 결재와 동시에 재고 관리가 가능하도록 설계하였다. 소비자의 입장에서는 편리하고 쾌적한 스마트 쇼핑 환경을 제공 받을 수 있고, 판매자 입장에서는 인건비 절감효과, 재고관리에 효율성과 편의성을 제공한다.

  • 최근 개인형 이동장치의 사용이 증가하며 이와 관련된 안전문제가 제기 되었다. 그 중 높은 비중을 차지하는 헬멧 미착용에 대해 사용자들에게 헬멧의 거부감을 감소시키고 착용을 장려할 수 있는 서비스를 개발하여 실제 착용률을 증가시키고 사고시 위험 정도를 감소시킬 수 있는 애플리케이션을 설계하였다.
