  • The explosive increase in the range of Internet usage gradually makes the speed and capacity of network high-speed, rapidly evolving it into mass storage. Accordingly, network equipment such as switch and router are coping with it through hardware-based rapid technological evolution, but as the technological development of the most basic and essential network security system in the hyper-connected society requires frequent alterations and updates about the security issues and signatures of tens of thousands, so it is not easy to overcome the technical limitations based on the software. In this paper, to improve problems in installing and operating such anti-DDoS devices, we propose a Hi-DPI algorithm best reflecting the hardware characteristics and parallel processing characteristics of FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array), and would verify the practicality.

EKF Based SOH State Estimation Algorithm for UAV Li-Po Battery Pack (무인항공기 리튬폴리머 배터리팩용 EKF 기반 SOH 상태추정 알고리즘)

  • Ignorance of battery pack life could bring unexpected UAV crashes and so the SOH estimation became a next important factor to the SOC estimation. In contrast to the EV applications, the small UAV could not carry heavy and complex BMS and so it is required to apply a simple, light, cheap, but powerful BMS to prevent any accident. In this paper, we show two SOH estimation methods, using internal resistance and using $SOC_I$ and $SOC_V$ with CF. Results show that the SOH becomes about 92% after 30 number of discharging cycles.

  • In this paper, we implement modules of the MPEG-2 AAC decoder using VHDL. Tools of Huffman decoder, inverse quantizer and high-density filter bank which are necessary for the AAC decoder. We designed the high speed Huffman decoder using the method of octal tree search algorithm, and reduced computational time of filter bank using IFFT. Also, we use table of computation result for an exponential calculation of Inverse quantizer in fixed-point hardware, and reduced the size of table using linear interpolation. Modules implemented by hardware through optimization work in real time at low clock frequency are possible to reduce the system size.

  • In this paper, we present a new geometric active contour model based on level set methods introduced by Osher and Sethian for detection of object boundaries or shape and we adopt anisotropic diffusion filtering method for removing noise from original image. In order to minimize the processing time, we use the narrow band method which allows us to perform calculations in the neighborhood of the contour and not in the whole image. Using anisotropic diffusion filtering for each slice, we have the result with reduced noise and extracted exact shape. Volume rendering operates on three-dimensional data, processes it, and transforms it into a simple two-dimensional image.

Analysis of Flow Characteristics of Triple Filter System by the Influence of Filter Density (필터 조밀도의 영향에 의한 3단 필터 시스템의 유동특성 해석)

  • In this study, the flow characteristics of the filter system were analyzed due to the effect of the density of the filter in the triple filter system. Flow analysis was performed as a flow passing through a porous medium. The flow characteristics of each filter system were analyzed by arranging filters with different densities in the forward flow flow and the reverse flow. The arrangement order of the triple filters was excellent in the case of forward fluid flow and in the case of higher density from the inside to the outside filter. In the reverse flow filter system, the performance of the system was the best in the case of reverse order filter arrangement. As a result of the analysis, Case II, which showed a pressure drop rate of 5.65% for forward flow, was the best in the reverse direction with a pressure drop rate of 14.25%. Considering reverse and forward flows, it was found that the optimal filter arrangement was most effective when the intermediate filter was the densest, and the inner or outer filter was less dense.

  • To understand an underlying geological structure via seismic imaging, the velocity information of the subsurface medium is crucial. Although the full-waveform inversion (FWI) method is considered useful for estimating subsurface velocity models, 3D FWI needs a lot-of computing power and time. Herein, we compare the calculation efficiency and accuracy of frequency-domain 2D and 3D acoustic FWIs. Thereafter, we demonstrate that the artifacts from 2D approximation can be partially suppressed via frequency-domain 2D FWI by employing diffraction angle filtering (DAF). By applying DAF, which employs only big reflection angle components, the impact of noise and out-of-plane reflections can be reduced. Additionally, it is anticipated that the DAF can create long-wavelength velocity structures for 3D FWI and migration.

  • With the development of next IT convergence technology and the construction of infrastructure for personalized healthcare services, the importance of services based on user's preference is being spotlighted. Healthcare service have been progressed as treatment and management for specific diseases and dietary nutrition managements to customers according to the increase in chronic patients. In this paper, we proposed the personalized dietary nutrition contents recommendation using the hybrid filtering for managing health. The proposed method uses the hybrid filtering through combining the collaborative filtering and the image filtering in order to reinforce the special trend that recommendation provides similar contents. We developed the Web application for this purpose, and experimented with it to verify the logical validity and effectiveness. Accordingly, the satisfaction and the quality of services will be improved the healthcare by recommending the dietary nutrition contents. This evaluation found that the difference of satisfaction by service was statistically meaningful and showed high satisfaction.

  • 최근 편리하고 안전한 생체인증 기술이 핀테크 서비스의 필수 구성요소가 되고 있다. 그러나 생체인증의 보안성과 정확도 향상을 위해 많은 양의 생체 정보를 활용한다면 연산과정이 복잡해져서 속도 저하와 개인정보 유출 가능성이 높아지고, 실시간성을 제공하기 위해 생체 정보의 일부만 샘플링하여 활용하는 경우에는 보안성과 정확도가 열화되는 Trade-off 문제가 있다. 종래의 생체인증 기술은 메타데이터를 이용한 필터링의 경우 데이터 간의 상관성이 고려하지 않아서 개인정보보호와 사용자 편의성에 한계가 있었다. 본 연구에서는 상관성 높은 데이터를 활용하여 프라이버시 중심의 생체인증 설계와 보안사용성을 향상시키는 방안을 제안한다.

  • In this paper, to solve localization problem for out-door navigation of robotic vehicles, a particle filter based 3D object recognition framework that can estimate the pose of a building or its entrance is presented. A particle filter framework of multiple evidence fusion and model matching in a sequence of images is presented for robust recognition and pose estimation of 3D objects. The proposed approach features 1) the automatic selection and collection of an optimal set of evidences 2) the derivation of multiple interpretations, as particles representing possible object poses in 3D space, and the assignment of their probabilities based on matching the object model with evidences, and 3) the particle filtering of interpretations in time with the additional evidences obtained from a sequence of images. The proposed approach has been validated by the stereo-camera based experimentation of 3D object recognition and pose estimation, where a combination of photometric and geometric features are used for evidences.

  • In this paper, we described the unknown parameter identification using Dual Extended Kalman Filter for precise control of 2-link manipulator. 2-link manipulator has highly non-linear characteristic with changed parameter thought tasks. The parameter kinds of mass and inertia of system is important to handle with the manipulator robustly. To solve the control problem by estimating the state and unknown parameters of the system through the proposed method. In order to verify the performance of proposed method, we simulate the implementation using Matlab and compare with results of RLS algorithm. At the results, proposed method has a better performance than those of RLS and verify the estimation performance in the parameter estimation.
