  • The purpose of the study was to identify the factors on Gatekeeper behavior of adolescents for suicide prevention. The participants were five high school students from D metropolitan city. The collected data were analysed using t-test, ANOVA, Multiple regression with SPSS 21.0 program. In the results of the study, Gatekeeper behavior showed significant difference by gender(t=2.85, p=.005), type of school(t=-2.81, p=.006), experience of significant others' suicide(t=-2.09, p=.038). Gatekeeper behavior had a positive relationship with the perception toward suicide prevention(r=.23, p=.006) and the knowledge about suicide prevention(r=.42, p<.001). In regression analysis, significant influencing factors on Gatekeeper behavior were the perception toward suicide prevention (${\beta}=.20$, p=.006) and the knowledge about suicide prevention(${\beta}=.35$, p<.001), and these variables showed 24.3% of variance. Therefore, it need to develop the intervention for improving positive perception and active knowledge about suicide prevention in adolescents. In addition, future study to identify various predictable variables is needed.

  • Although research using meta-analysis is increasing in the field of rehabilitation science, not all meta-analytical papers are of the same quality. In particular, although meta-analysis is a research method with the highest level of evidence, it may be possible to derive distorted conclusions or alternatives by simply integrating representative values without considering heterogeneity among individual studies. This study analyzed the current status of meta-analysis papers on the subject of language arbitration published in Korea from January 2010 to June 2019, and used A Measurement Tool to Assess the Methodological Quality of Systematic Review (AMSTAR). As a result of evaluating the methodological quality of the final five papers, the average of 7.4 points out of 11 points was found above average. In order to raise the qualitative level of Meta-analysis in speech-language pathology in the future, it is necessary to include verification of publication bias and specification of conflicts of interest.

  • This study was to develop a dementia prevention integration program and apply to elderly women living alone to evaluate the applicability of the program. Fifty-six participants who enrolled at local public health centers were assigned. The control and experimental groups were assigned to 28 subjects. As a result of the study, the integrated program for prevention of dementia showed that the experimental group was more effective as the self-practice program than the control group. Therefore, This program is considered to be a self-practice integrated dementia prevention program. In the future, this program should be revised and supplemented and extended to the local community, So it is necessary to seek a nursing intervention strategy that subjects can continuously practice.

  • This study was conducted in order to identify the level of dietary behavior and investigate factors that influence dietary behavior in nursing students. This study was a descriptive survey including 304 students in D city. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, pearson's correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS 18. The average score of the subject's dietary behavior was 2.72. In the correlation of dietary behavior, there was a significant positive correlation with health concern and dietary attitude, and there was no correlation with nutrition knowledge. Models including the variables, health concern, perceived health status, exercise, dietary attitude and residential type explained 24.4% of the variance for dietary behavior. Health concern was the most influential factor. A practical intervention program which includes these significant variables of subjects is essential to improve of good dietary behavior.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the internet addiction tendency of University students. A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 354 students in the G city from March 15 to May 22, 2017. The data were analyzed by exploratory factor analysis, Pearson's correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis using the SPSS 12.0 program. Factors affecting the internet addiction tendency were using time of internet, consciousness of information ethics(soundness to internet use), self-control(p<0.05). Accordingly, it is necessary to develop mediator program in order to preventive internet addiction to enhance of consciousness of information ethics and control using time of internet and self-control.

  • The Purpose of this study was to identify the factors affecting patient safety management activity targeted nursing student and to provide basic data for patient safety in nursing education and to develop education program improving students' patient safety management activity. The participants of this study were 358 nursing students in a region and collected data by self-reported questionnaire. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, stepwise multiple regression analysis. As a resutls, Significant positive correlations were found between patient safety competency, performance confidence, coping and patient safety management activity for nursing students. Patient safety competency, performance confidence were significant factors related to patient safety management activity but coping was not found to directly affect patient safety management activity. Thus, we propose to develop a education intervention program that considers patient safety competency, performance confidence in order to improve patient safety management activity of nursing students.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate effect of simulation based education using standardized patient for contact precaution infection control for nursing student. This study was conducted by including 67 nursing student A university from October to December 2019. This study was mixed method research design. Knowledge and performance confidence related to multidrug resistant organism(MDRO) infection control were measured using questionnaires pre and post test, analyzed using paired t-test and reflection sheet was analyzed using content analysis method. After intervention, two variables were increased significantly. Results of the content analysis showed there were 39 significant statements, which were classified into 13 categories. These results suggest that education on simulation program using standardized patient for contact precaution infection control is effective strategy to enhance knowledge and performance confidence related to MDRO infection control and practical nursing infection control skill, patient centered care, interprofessional collaboration.

  • This study designed to know subjective structure about type of coping with stress of nursing students using Q-methodology. The statement positions on the sorting continuum were scored from +4(representing the highest level of agreement) through 0(at the neutral position on the continuum) through -4(representing the highest level of disagreement). Factor analysis of the data was undertaken using PC QUANL software to determine if any patterns were discernible. The four types extracted eigenvalues greater than 1.0 and explained approximately 52.14% of the variation in responses(31.73, 10.13, 5.73 and 4.65% respectively).: (1) Positive resolve type, (2) Ignore problem type, (3) Self resolution type and (4) Conversation type. The study results can be utilized in both an effective nursing education and clinical practice.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of worker's happiness, fatigue and self-efficacy on quality of life. The data was collected from September 15 to 30, 2018, and the subjects were 102 workers. Collected data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS 25.0 program. The results of this study are as follows. 1) Workers' quality of life was significantly different according to gender, subjective health, transportation to and from work, and time spent to commute (p <.05). 2) Workers' quality of life was significantly positively correlated with happiness and self-efficacy and negatively with fatigue (p <.05). 3) The significant factors affecting worker's quality of life were gender, happiness, fatigue and self-efficacy, and their explanatory power was 80.4%. In order to lead a satisfactory life, it is very important to improve the quality of life. Influences need to be reflected in interventions to improve the quality of life of workers.

  • The relationship between balance and ankle muscle characteristics (strength and flexibility) may be important to identify those at an increased risk of falling and to develop fall-prevention training programs. The association between ankle muscle characteristics (strength and flexibility) and balance has not previously been studied. The purpose of this study assessed the relationship between ankle muscle characteristics and balance. Sixteen healthy participants volunteered to participate in the study. Dynamic balance measured using Y-balance kit. Ankle muscle characteristics (strength and flexibility) measured using hand-held dynamometer and goniometry. The results indicated a positive correlation between ankle invertor muscle strength and Y-balance test performance. Clinicians should consider ankle muscle strength during therapeutic interventions to improve dynamic balance.
