Analysis of Perceptions and Differences between Groups regarding Generative AI (생성형 AI에 관한 인식 및 집단간 차이 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of generative AI and the perception of differences between user groups. This study explored the perceptions of different user groups regarding generative AI, aiming to derive implications for enhancing AI utilization capabilities for each group. Upon analysis, it was found that there were no significant differences in perceptions across age groups. However, notable differences were observed between professional backgrounds, particularly in the areas of generative AI application and ethical perspectives. Consequently, this study suggests the need for diversified AI solutions tailored to specific fields of expertise. It underscores the importance of customized education and training programs, as well as specialized education focused on ethical considerations. Additionally, this research contributes academically by proposing varied AI usage strategies for different age and professional groups. It also highlights the role of text mining techniques in developing and improving AI utilization skills.

The Ethical Regime and Technological Citizenship in Software Oriented Society (SW(소프트웨어)중심사회의 윤리적 체제와 기술 시티즌십)

  • Digital inclusion is the ability or opportunities of individuals and groups to access and use information technology (IT). Digital inclusion strategies aims to ensure that all citizens regardless of their gender, race and class benefit from IT. Discourse of digital inclusion is notable in that it proposes a desirable relationship between the state, individuals, and the market within the shifting topology of technoscience. Throughout broad discourse analysis of media coverages, in-depth interviews and reports on Korean IT industry, this research argues that dialogues on digital inclusion have substantially influenced the formation of a specific ethical regime. In this regime, individuals should become subjects embodying IT expertise and acceptable codes of conducts. We further discuss that such government-driven ethical regime conflicts with technological citizenship practiced by IT experts and semi-experts. We make theoretical contribution to STS by expanding the concept of technological citizenship to include the rights and obligations of heterogeneous expert and semi-expert groups to form, propose and socially demand alternative developmental pathways of technoscience. We also note that, amid the conflict between ethical regime and technological citizenship, alternative interpretations of gender gap can be forged, providing competing perspectives on women's under-representation and labor conditions in the IT industry. Further research is required to capture the emergence of multiple identities--differentiated by gender, race, class, and more--within the clashing interface between the ethical regime and technological citizenship.

Development and Application of Unplugged Activity-centered Robot for Improving Creative Problem Solving Ability (창의적 문제해결력 신장을 위한 언플러그드 활동 중심 로봇 개발 및 적용)

  • With the introduction of the 2015 revised curriculum, software education became mandatory in elementary school. The practical subject in the content for the software education consists of information ethics, algorithms, programming, and computer science. Especially, elementary school encourages the unplugged activities. Unplugged activities are preferred among the teachers in the education field as a teaching-learning method. However, those teachers pointed out that the lack of suitable unplugged activity materials was the biggest challenge. In addition, it was pointed out that the existing materials were not suitable for achievement standards, and there are many simple playing-oriented educations that are not linked to computing activities. In this study, we developed an unplugged activity-oriented robot that can be used for the elementary students to learn the basic control structure suggested in the achievement criteria SW education and to develop creative problem solving ability through various activities using sensors. The effectiveness was verified through the software class using the developed robot in this study.

An Empirical Study on Factors Affecting the University Students' Software Piracy Intention (대학생들의 S/W 불법복제 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, software piracy is one of the serious crimes for the digital materials. It makes economically devasting to the software industry and the market. In particular, it is a widespread phenomenon among university students in Korea and negative affects in measuring social and cultural level. Many studies have been focused on the users' intention of the software piracy for making anti-piracy policy. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting university students' software piracy intention. The survey includes responses from 271 university students in a school of business adminstration. The research model was estimated with multiple regression. The analysis showed results that user's characteristics, subjective norms, and perceived software quality were significantly related to intention of software piracy, but security policy was not. Perceived importance of intellectual property has negative impact on user's software piracy intention. Based on the findings, we suggest the implications for developing and implementing appropriate policies for anti-piracy.

  • 디지털 정보량의 증가 추세에 맞추어 네트워크를 통해 자신의 데이터를 원격 저장소에 저장하고, 이를 다양한 디바이스를 통해 언제 어디서나 접근할 수 있는 클라우드스토리지 서비스가 등장하게 되었다. 이는 기존에 데이터를 휴대하기 위해 사용되던 이동식 저장매체와 달리 저장용량의 크기 제한이 없고, 저장매체를 소지해야 하는 문제점이 없어 많은 사용자로부터 사용되고 있다. 이러한 클라우드 스토리지에 여러 사용자의 데이터가 저장됨에 따라 클라우드 스토리지의 신뢰성 문제가 이슈화 되고 있다. 비윤리적인 관리자 및 공격자로부터 클라우드에 저장된 데이터를 안전하게 보호하기 위해 다양한 암호 기술을 클라우드 스토리지에 적용하려는 연구가 진행되고 있다. 하지만 기존의 검색가능 암호기술은 사용자가 저장하고자 하는 데이터를 직접 업로드하고, 해당 자료를 필요에 따라 공유 하고, 공유대상이 변화되는 클라우드 스토리지 환경에서 비효율성을 가지고 있어 실제 서비스에 적용하기 힘든 단점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경을 고려하여 검색 가능한 암호화 색인 생성 및 이를 재암호화해 다른 사용자와 안전하게 공유할 수 있는 색인 관리 기법을 제안한다.

  • Due to Proliferation of Mobile Devices, the Global Mobile Application (App) Market is Set to Continue its Impressive Growth Trajectory. However, like other Digital Contents, Prevalent Piracy of Smartphone Apps has Become One of the Major Obstacles to the Growth of the Newborn App Industry. The Objective of this Study is to Examine and Better Understand the Effects of Factors Which has been Known to Influence PC Software Piracy. A Research Model Explaining the Impact of Various Factors to Smartphone App Piracy Attitude and Intention is Constructed Based on Theories of Ethical Behavior. A Survey of College Students was Conducted to Test the Research Model. Findings Show that PC Software Piracy Habit and Attitude have Significant Effects on Smartphone Piracy Attitude and Intention. Beliefs Concerning Judicial and Performance Risks Due to Piracy have Little Effects on Smartphone App Piracy Attitude.

  • The ability to need information-oriented society is the convergence ability based in information ability. A new curriculum is demanded by new technology and circumstance to need the core ability. Korea Association of Information Education have studied a new curriculum and suggest a new plan that content of information education classified by 'computer system', 'SW production' and 'convergence activities'. Therefore, we studied on convergence activities of K-9. In this paper we firstly suggested concept of convergence ability as activities to use ICT, information communication ethics and robot. We nextly suggested object to achieve, teaching-learning methods and evaluation methods of convergence activities. We expect the curriculum we suggested about convergence activities will contribute to training talented individuals.

  • A work as human's creatures are transformed to bits and multimedia. In the modem society which is governed by simulation, infornlation is symbolized and becoming easily reached to anyone. Thus, collections of image and composition can show a new world beyond the ethical viewpoint. The problem with worries about the differnce between the original and a copy and disappearence of the meaning in postmodern era is the problem of how to set the intellectual properties and copyrights.In this situation, sharing of information according to the theoretical concepts and process of digitalization of photos in the era of information-intensive society was presented. The ethics of intellectual properties and copyrights and in postmordern era were driven. After reviewing the intellectual properties in the era of national information infrastructure of twenty-first century and by identifying the problems, the directions of what we have to do as image makers, and the intellectual properties and copyright.

In the Digital Big Data Classroom Reality and Application of Smart Education : Learner-Centered Education using Edutech (디지털 빅데이터 교실에서 스마트교육의 실제와 활용 : 에듀테크를 활용한 학습자 중심 교육)

  • In this study, we looked at the appearance of Edutech, which is being put into the educational field after Corona 19, with the advent of the 4th industrial revolution. In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, the infrastructure, data, and service of Smart Stick that actively utilized ICT became the main pillars of smart education. In particular, smart education is being implemented through e-learning, smart learning, and edutech, and on this basis, it has become possible through the expansion and use of the Internet and computers, the dissemination of smart devices, and a software foundation using big data. Based on this, it was confirmed that Edutech is being implemented through the establishment of a quarantine safety net, a learning safety net, and a care safety net for individual learners and safe life based on artificial intelligence. Lastly, in order for edutech education using big data to become a discourse for everyone, it is necessary to consider artificial intelligence and ethics in the use and application of edutech.

The Perspective of Elementary School Teachers on Implementation of AI Education in relation to Software Training Experience (소프트웨어 학습경험에 따른 초등교사의 인공지능교육 도입에 대한 인식)

  • Ministry of education recently announced to implement AI curriculum in elementary, middle school and highschool from 2025 which will include programing, basic AI principal and AI Ethics, and the media is releasing articles that have reservations on it. This study is focused on analyzing the perspective of elementary teachers - who are going to be in charge of AI education - on the implementation of AI education in elementary schools and the teachers are divided into two groups of 'software-experienced' and 'software-inexperienced' in relation to software training background. The results showed that 100% of the 'software-experienced' teachers agreed on implementing AI education and 80% of 'software-inexperienced' teachers also showed positive perspective on it. Among the reasons that 20% of 'software-inexperienced' teachers had negative perspective on AI education, it was highly rated that existing home economics subject covers fulfilling amount of software education. Both 'software-experienced' and 'software-inexperienced' teachers chose grade 5 and 6 as the most appropriate age for software education and considered one class per a week as the most appropriate amount of AI class. In terms of the subject format, 75% of the 'software-experienced' teachers chose the idea that software education has to be an independent school subject which will include AI education. Also, 54% of the 'software-inexperienced' teachers chose the ideas either AI education should be an independent subject or software education should be an independent subject which will include AI education. The preference of the content of AI education appeared in order of basic AI programing, principles of AI and AI Ethics.
