  • As big data become more important socially and economically in recent years, many problems have been derived from the indiscriminate application of big data. Big data are valuable because it can figure out the meaning of informative information hidden within the data. In particular, to predict customer behavior patterns and experiences, structured data that were extracted from Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or unstructured data that were extracted from Social Network Service(SNS) can be defined as a population to interpret the data, during which many errors can occur. However, those errors are usually overlooked. In addition to data analysis techniques, some data, which should be considered in the analysis, are not included in the population and thus do not show any meaningful patterns. Therefore, this study presents the measurement and interpretation of the data generated when the cause of error in the population setting is strong relationship and interaction between people or a person and an object. In other words, it will be shown that if the relationship and interaction are strong, it is important to include data collected from the perspective of user experience and ethnography in the population by comparing various cases of big data application, through which the meaning will be derived and the best direction will be suggested.

  • The use of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) has been recently reviewed in various industries, but it seems that it is not being applied to companies faster than ever expected. In this study, three perceived risk factors affecting the acceptance conflict and acceptance intention of RPA technology were proposed and the effects of RPA on acceptance conflict and acceptance intention were investigated using RPA experienced people, gender and ICT industries as control variables. For the research, online survey was conducted targeting office workers and analyzed the results by using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0. As a result, it was found that among the three perceived risk factors, concern about introduction failure, employment insecurity, and execution errors, employment insecurity and execution errors did not affect the acceptance conflict and acceptance intention of RPA. This research shows that concerns over the introduction failure affected the acceptance conflict and acceptance intention. In addition, the acceptance conflict was judged as a factor of the mediation effect of the acceptance intention. From the perspective of companies that want to apply RPA, the theoretical and practical implications of business management are meaningful in that they can identify and respond to particularly important factors among perceived risks.

  • This study investigated the effects of dynamic visual on students' field independence-dependence on connecting errors and conceptual understanding in learning chemistry concepts with multiple representations. Seventh graders (N=123) at a co-ed middle school were assigned to a static visual (SV) group learning with text and static visual, and a dynamic visual (DV) group learning with text and dynamic visual. The students then learned 'Boyle's Law' and 'Charles's Law' for two class periods. Results revealed that the percentages of the DV group were lower than those of the SV group on connecting errors. However, the percentages of the students' connecting errors were still high regardless of their field independence-dependence. There was a little different tendency in the percentages of connecting errors between the two groups by students' field independence-dependence according to the types of connecting errors. The scores of the DV group were significantly higher than those of the SV group in a test on conceptual understanding. However, there was no significant interaction between the instruction and the students' field independence-dependence. Educational implications of these findings are discussed.

  • Present study was to evaluate the validity and the clinical utility of the Korean version of Luria-Nebraska Neuropsychological Battery for Children(LNNB-C) in various groups including normal, brain damaged attention deficit hyperactivity disordered(ADHD), and psychiatrically disordered. The Korean version of LNNB-C and BGT were administered to clinical groups consisted of 51 patients(19 brain damaged, 16 ADHD. and 16 psychiatric controls), and to normal group composed of 147 children between the age of 8 and It Also KEDI-WISC was administered D clinical groups as a part of comprehensive psychological assessment There were significant differences between the brain damaged and the normals on all scales of LNNB-C, and between the normals and the ADHD on 11 clinical scales and 3 summary scales, which indicate the clinical validity for the scales of the Korean version of LNNB-C. The significant differences between the ADHD and the brain damaged on 3 summary scales were found, suggesting that the summary scales might play an important role id discriminating between two groups. Multiple discriminant analysis showed that the Korean version of LNNB-C significantly discriminates 3 groups - normals, ADHD, and brain damaged. Percentages of correct classification were ranged from 62.5% in the ADHD to 98.6Ta in the normals. For further evaluating the discriminant validity of the LNNB-C, the discriminant power of each items were calculated, and 131 of the 147 items discriminated significantly between the brain damaged and the normals. The scales of LNNB-C significantly correlated with the error scores of BGT and the most of scales of KEDI-WISC. These results put together : strongly support the concurrent and the discriminant validity of the Korean version of LNNB-C in diagnosing brain damage. The limitations of present study and several issues for the luther study were discussed.

  • The purposes of the study were to investigate whether the use of the Geometer's Sketchpad(GSP) is more effective than the use of traditional tools such as ruler and protractor to enhance eighth- grade students' understanding of quadrilaterals and geometric reasoning ability and to examine how the use of the software affects on the development of students' understanding and reasoning ability. According to the results of the posttest, there was a significant difference in student achievement between students using GSP and students using ruler and protractor. Students using GSP significantly outperformed students using ruler and protractor on the posttest. Student interview data showed that the use of the GSP was more effective in developing students' geometric reasoning ability. Students using GSP achieved higher degrees of acquisition for van Hiele level 2 and 3 than students using ruler and protractor. Dynamic visual representations and hands-on experiences provided in GSP learning environment helped students approach quadrilateral concepts more conceptually and realize their pre-existing conceptual errors and re-conceptualize their mathematical ideas.

  • The Journal of Industrial Management Society in Republic of Korea. In order to explore the effect of overseas language training on the development of foreign language accuracy, this study investigates the errors in English compositions produced by 27 Korean university students who received overseas language training for 15 weeks. For data collection, students were made to take two tests, a pretest and a posttest, a semester apart. The differences in composition elements and errors between the two tests were examined and statistical analyses were performed. Results showed that while the average length of the compositions and sentences increased, the number of sentences decreased in the posttest. Also, more errors were found in the posttest where the students tried to construct more complex sentence structures. The students' ability to generate sentences were found to have improved, while their competence in using grammatical elements accurately within sentences did not see great improvement. This implies that overseas language training was not effective for aiding the development of one's grammatical accuracy of a foreign language over a 15-week period for the students.

  • This study investigated the effects of the level of enrichment for analogies upon students' mapping, conceptual understanding, and the types of mapping errors in concept learning about Boyle's Law. Analogical reasoning ability test was administered and the score was used as a blocking variable. Three types (simple, enriched, and extended analogies) of learning materials according to the level of enrichment for analogies were studied by randomly assigned middle school students, and a conceptions test and a mapping test were administered immediately. The retention tests of both were administered four weeks later. Analyses of the results revealed that there was no main effect in the level of enrichment for analogies, but there was interaction effect with analogical reasoning ability in the post test on mapping. And the score of enriched analogy group was significantly higher than those of simple analogy group, but the score differences among three groups were not significant in the retention test on conceptual understanding. The frequency of the total mapping errors in the simple analogy group was the highest, and the frequencies of most types of mapping errors in the enriched and the extended analogy groups were less than those in the simple analogy group. There were also some differences in the frequencies of mapping errors with respect to the level of analogical reasoning ability. Therefore, these results will help science teachers plan and practice instructions using analogy.

  • As the number of students in the multicultural background grows, the interest in their education is also increasing. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of forest healing factors on the improvement of language ability and ego-resilience of students from multicultural families. We conducted an after-school forest healing program of ten male and ten female middle school students of a multicultural preparatory school located in ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$-dong in Cheongju, Chungnam Province. The experiment consisted of a total of 12 weekly one-hour (60 minutes) programs from April 12, 2018 to June 26, 2018. The forest healing program is an activity that uses the various environmental factors that exist in the forest to increase the immunity of the human body and restore physical and mental health. To determine the difference in ego-resilience before and after the program, we conducted a paired t-test and analyzed with the SPSS 18.0 program. The results showed that the ego-resilience significantly improved in all sub-factors including the positive thinking ability, problem-solving ability, intimacy ability, emotional adjustment ability, and autonomic behavior ability (p<.001). The descriptive statistics of the language ability showed the improvement in writing errors, pronunciation errors, sentence errors, tense errors, and errors in research and connection. We expect the results of this study can be used as the basic data to improve ego-resilience and language acquisition ability of middle-entry children and students from multicultural families.

  • Objective:This study was designed to investigate the difference between executive function of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder(ADHD) group and that of neurotics, and to investigate the developmental aspects of ADHD group's executive function. Method:Executive function between ADHD(N=87) and Neurotics(N=19) was evaluated through their performance on the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test. The results were analyzed by 2-way ANOVA and t-test. Results:The results revealed group difference between ADHD and neurotics in total correct reponses, total error responses, nonperseverative errors, number of categories completed, conceptual level responses. There was no significant difference between the performance of 8-12 aged group and 13-15 aged group. But 7-8 aged group showed significantly poor performance than 8-12 aged in total responses, total error responses, perseverative responses, perseverative error responses, nonperseverative error responses. Conclusions:In comparison to the neurotics group, the children of ADHD group are suggested to be lacking the ability to correct their responses according to the external feedback and they probably respond randomly without self-control. However, as there is no difference between perseverative errors and perseverative responses, the interpretation of this finding warrants caution. It also suggests that the developmental aspects should be considered in the studies of executive functions because there are differences in the performance of executive functions by ages.

  • With the breakthrough of speech recognition technology, conversational agents have become pervasive through smartphones and smart speakers. The recognition accuracy of speech recognition technology has developed to the level of human beings, but it still shows limitations on understanding the underlying meaning or intention of words, or understanding long conversation. Accordingly, the users experience various errors when interacting with the conversational agents, which may negatively affect the user experience. In addition, in the case of smart speakers with a voice as the main interface, the lack of feedback on system and transparency was reported as the main issue when the users using. Therefore, there is a strong need for research on how users can better understand the capability of the conversational agents and mitigate negative emotions in error situations. In this study, we applied social strategies, "forewarning" and "apology", to conversational agent and investigated how these strategies affect users' perceptions of the agent in breakdown situations. For the study, we created a series of demo videos of a user interacting with a conversational agent. After watching the demo videos, the participants were asked to evaluate how they liked and trusted the agent through an online survey. A total of 104 respondents were analyzed and found to be contrary to our expectation based on the literature study. The result showed that forewarning gave a negative impression to the user, especially the reliability of the agent. Also, apology in a breakdown situation did not affect the users' perceptions. In the following in-depth interviews, participants explained that they perceived the smart speaker as a machine rather than a human-like object, and for this reason, the social strategies did not work. These results show that the social strategies should be applied according to the perceptions that user has toward agents.
