Finite Element Modeling of Contact Joints by Flexibility Influence Coefficient (유연도 영향계수법을 이용한 접촉 결합 부의 모델링)

  • Rational dynamic modeling and analysis method f3r complex structures are studied with special attention to slide way joints. For modeling of slide way joints, a general modeling technique is used by using the influence coefficients method which is applied to the conversion of detailed finite element model to the equivalent reduced joint model. The theoretical part of this method is illustrated and the method is applied to the structure with slide way joint. In this method, the non-linearity of the contact surfaces is considered within a proper range and the boundary effect of the joint model could be eliminated. The proposed method was applied to finite element modal analysis of a clamp jointed cantilever beam and slide way joints of the vertical type lathe. The method can also be used to other kinds of joint modeling. The results of these analysis were compared with those of Yoshimura models and rigid joint models, which demonstrated the practical applicability of the proposed method.

  • An analyical method is proposed to construct a clamp jointed structure as an equivalent stiffness matrix element in the finite element modal analysis of a complex beam structure. Static structural analysis was first made for the detail finite element model of the clamp joint. Utilizing the results of this analysis, the equivalent stiffness matrix element was buildup by using the flexibility influence coefficient method and Guyan condensation. The proposed method was applied to finite element modal analysis of a clamp jointed cantilever beam. And the finite element analysis results were compared to those experimental modal analysis. Comparison shows doog agreement each other Furthermore the effects of normal contact(or clamping) load on the equivalent stiffness matrix was also examined. The equivalent stiffness matrix showed little change in spite of the remakable increase in the contact load on the clamp joint.

  • 본 연구에서는 지반상태가 교량의 지진응답에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 다양한 지반모델 상의 교량모델에 대한 지진해석을 수행하고 그 결과를 비교.분석하였다 이를 위해서 기존의 교량시방서에서 분류된 네가지의 서로다른 지반종류를 대상으로 보다 세분된 지반모델 상에 위치하는 대표적인 교량에 대한 지진해석을 수행함으러써 첫째로는 각 지반 종류 상호간의 지진응답 차이의 정도를 시방서 값과 비교.분석하였으며 둘째로는 동일 지반으로 분류되는 상이한 두 지반간의 응답차이의 정도를 확인하였다 해석을 위해서는 시방서에서 제시된 두가지 방법 즉 단일모드 스펙트럼해석법과 다중모드 스펙트럼해석법을 사용하였으며 이들 결과를 별도로 작성된 인공시간이력을 입력으로 하는 시간이력해석법을 사용한 결과와 비교.분석하였다 시간이력해석법에서는 진동수에 무관한 지반임피던스함수를 이용하는 시간영역해석법을 사용하였다 해석결과 시방서에서 제시한 단일모드 및 다중모드 스펙트럼해석방법은 일반적으로 안전측의 지반-구조물 상호작용 해석결과를 주는 것으로 확인되었다 그러나 유연성이 큰 지반 상의 구조물에대한 지진해석을 위한 해석모델 작성시에는 지반의 유연성이 반드시 고려되어야 하며 특히 낙교방지를 위한 변위는 지반의 유연성을 고려한 정밀해석법에 의한 계산이 필수적으로 요구됨을 확인하였다.

  • Machine tool design concepts have evolved towards high efficiency, accurate precision. high structural integrity, and multi-functional systems. Like many other structures, machine tools are also composed of many parts. When these parts are assembled, many kinds of joints are used. In the finite element analysis of these assembled structures, most joints are commonly considered as rigid joints. But, to get the more accurate solution, we need to model these joints in a appropriate manner. In this study, rational dynamic modeling and analysis method for complex structures are studied with special attention to slide way joints.   • The evolution of smartphones has led to numerous researches in the mechanical behavior of flexible devices. Due to the nano-size of the thin flexible film, nanoindentation is widely used to evaluate its mechanical behaviors, such as elastic modulus, and hardness. However, the commonly used Oliver-Pharr method is not suited for analyzing the indentation force-depth curves of hard films on soft substrates, as the effects of soft substrate is not considered theoretically. In this study, the elastic modulus of the thin film was evaluated with references to other reported models which include the substrate effect, and with calibration of the indentation depth for the pile-ups between the indenter and test surface. We fabricated test samples by deposition of amorphous metal film on polyimide and silicon wafers for verification of modified models.

Scattering of Oblique Waves by an Inanite Flexible Membrane Breakwater (유연막 방파제에 의한 경사파의 산란)

  • The wave interaction with flexible membrane such as PVC and PU fabrics is studied to prove its applicability to portable breakwaters. To analyze the wave deformation due to the flexible membrane. eigen-function expansion method is employed. The fluid domain is seperated into two regions. The velocity potential in each regions and the deformation of membrane are coupled by the body boundary conditions. Herein the deformation of membrane is obtained by solving the membrane equation. As a numerical example, transmission and reflection coefficients according to the change of several design parameters such as tensile force. mooring line stiffness and membrane height are investigated. It is found that the efficiency of flexible membrane breakwater is significantly affected by these design parameters. The angle of incident wave is an important role to the performance of breakwater. Finally we conclude that flexible membrane can be used to engineering material for the future breakwaters.

  • For analyzing seismic performance of long-span bridge for multi-support excitation and preparing technically and efficiently for a variety of design demands, the new module on multiple excitation was built in a reliable non-linear analysis program(RCAHEST) by using Influence Line Method, and the study on structures was performed previously. Also, the result of the analysis through RCAHEST was compared and verified with commercial finite element analysis program SAP2000 by using the feature of Multi-Support Excitation. From these results, nonlinear time history analysis considering multi-support excitation was studied after designing FE model of Incheon cable-stayed bridge. It was proved that the maximum response of horizontal displacement decreased as the time delay was increasing at all nodes of bridge. And then the serviceability of analysis model was evaluated by performing ultimate analysis under changes in maximum acceleration of seismic load data.

  • This paper describes a flexible wireless telemetering system using a mesoscale cantilever sensor, which is microfabricated with a patterned thin Ni-Cu foil on a resin substrate. The dynamic validation of the sensor has been conducted in a flow. The wireless telemetry is used to obtain data regarding the oscillating flows. It is shown that the sensor is nearly independent of the environmental temperature and is suitable for application to primary healthcare and diagnostic devices. It can be easily integrated with other modules for measuring physiological parameters, e.g., blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and heart rate, to increase the convenience and reliability of diagnosis. The precision and reliability of the sensor are also dependent on the design of the analog front-end and noise reduction techniques. It is shown that the present system's minimum interval between packet transmissions is ~16 ms.

Study of Polysulfone Membrane for Membrane-covered Oxygen Probe System (산소 전극 시스템에 사용되는 polysulfone막에 대한 연구)

  • The ideal membranes for membrane-covered oxygen probes system should be selectively permeable for oxygen and chemically inert, and have good mechanical strength. Polysulfone(PSf) was selected to develop the membrane for membrane-covered oxygen electrodes system. PSf membranes have properties such as good reproducibility, good mechanical strength, chemical inertness, and high heat resistance. PSf membranes were cast from polymer solution on the glass plate at constant temperature, and casting solvents used were tetrahydrofuran(THF), methylene chloride, and N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone(NMP). Tricresyl phosphate(TCP) as plasicizer was added to PSf to increase the softness of membrane. The permeation characteristics were observed for pure oxygen and nitrogen through pure PSf membranes by variable volume method and membrane-covered electrode system. The permeability coefficients of oxygen and nitrogen measured by variable volume method were slightly decreased with increasing of upstream pressure. The permeation properties of PSf membrane using methylene choride as casting solvent were not affected by the PSf amount of polymer solution. The permeability coefficients of oxygen and nitrogen for PSf membrane containing TCP were very slightly lower than those for pure PSf membrane, but ideal separation factors were slightly higher. The flexibility of PSf membrane containing 2wt% TCP was better than that of pure PSf membrane. It was expected that this increase in flexibility would solve the difficulty of fixing the membrane to the cathode. The membrane-covered oxygen probes system was composed of anode, cathode and electrolyte. The type of the anode was Ag/AgCl half-cell, that of cathode was Ag, and the electrolyte was 4N KCl solution. The result of sampled current voltametry for PSf membrane showed the plateu region at -0.3V~-1.0V. The correlation coefficient of oxygen partial pressure versus current for PSf membrane was relatively high, 0.99949. It was concluded that PSf membrane was the good candidate for the membrane-covered oxygen probes system.

  • This study identified the influence of employees' hybrid start-up intention (intention to start a business while maintaining a job) on the employees' self-determination motivation (intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation) and prior knowledge through the Model of Goal-directed Behavior (MGB). We used a PLS-SEM called SmartPLS 3.0 for 126 valid samples collected by judgement extraction for office workers throughout June 13, 2020 to July 3, 2020, and empirically evaluated the measurement model (internal consistency reliability, convergent and discriminant validity) and the structural model (multicollinearity, determination coefficient, effect size, predictive relevance, etc.). Only the intrinsic motivation for realizing the hybrid start-up goal of office workers had a significant impact on the hybrid start-up attitude and subjective norms, and the prior knowledge of hybrid start-up had a significant impact on the hybrid start-up desire and the hybrid start-up intention. In order to induce hybrid start-ups for workers with unstable employment, we need systems and programs that can inspire employees with intrinsic motivation and knowledge about hybrid start-up, so follow-up researches are necessary to analyze about government systems and consulting support that can promote hybrid start-up.
