  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the mediating effect of female university students' perception of dating violence on the dating violence victims behavior. A questionnaire was distributed and collected to a total of 161 female students enrolled in four departments of U University. Frequency and percentage, correlation analysis, simple regression analysis, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis were performed, and the Sobel test was performed to verify the significance of the indirect effects. Findings First, it was found that female university students' perception of dating violence had a negative effect on the behavior of victims of dating violence, and the explanation power was 5%. Second, violence tolerance was found to have a positive effect on the behavior of all dating violence victims, and the explanatory power was 12%. Third, in the first stage, female university students' perception of dating violence significantly explained the tolerance of violence. In step 2, perception of dating violence significantly explained the behavior of dating violence victims, and in step 3, the tolerance of violence explained the behavior of victims of dating violence. When violence tolerance was introduced in step 4, the influence of dating violence perception on the victimization behavior of dating violence decreased, but it was not significant. That is, violence tolerance showed a partial mediating effect in the effect of dating violence perception on dating violence victim behavior. It is necessary to develop and implement practical programs that can raise perception of violence and lower the tolerance for violence to prevent victims of dating violence.

  • The purpose of this study is to recognize kindergarten teachers' experiences of child violence for identifying the site's needs for the implementation of preventive education in early childhood and to provide basic data on child violence. To this end, nine teachers were interviewed in-depth. From the study results, first, child violence-related child behavior, which usually occurs in kindergartens, includes physical assault, aggression, verbal violence, threats and threats, and bullying. Second, teachers usually use direct intervention laws in cases of child violence, but were finding it difficult to intervene properly with many tasks or high teacher-to-child ratios. Teachers recognized the need for lower teacher-to-child ratios and placement of each class burden. Third, teachers were aware of the need for prevention education for child violence targeting infants, and instigated the following appropriate interactions immediately after problem behavior occurred: large group activities, specific multimedia education data and parent education. Fourth, teachers are concerned about the possibility of problem behavior being learned and imitated through education in the implementation of prevention education for children's violence. Therefore, this study proposed the need to develop various teaching methods that could be applied to infant education sites, focusing on the types of child violence-related problem behaviors that occur in kindergartens.

  • Children develop their language skill rapidly between age 3 and 5. To meet the child's language development through a variety of experiences, it is necessary to develop age-appropriate contents. So it needs to develop various contents using speech interface for children, but there is no speech database of korean children. In this paper, we develop speech database of 3 to 5 years old children in korean. For collecting accurate children's speech, child education experts examine in the speech database development process. The words for database are selected from MCDI-K in two stage and children speak a word three times. Such collected speech are tokenized by child and word and stored in database. This speech database will be transferred through web and, hopefully, be the foundation of development of children-oriented contents.

  • This paper describes the development of a system and algorithms for high-quality welfare services by recognizing behavior development indicators (activity, sociability, danger) in children aged 0 to 2 years old using action recognition technology. Action recognition targeted 11 behaviors from lying down in 0-year-olds to jumping in 2-year-olds, using data directly obtained from actual videos provided for research purposes by three nurseries in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions. A dataset of 1,867 actions from 425 clip videos was built for these 11 behaviors, achieving an average recognition accuracy of 97.4%. Additionally, for real-world application, the Edge Video Analyzer (EVA), a behavior analysis device, was developed and implemented with a region-specific random frame selection-based PoseC3D algorithm, capable of recognizing actions in real-time for up to 30 people in four-channel videos. The developed system was installed in three nurseries, tested by ten childcare teachers over a month, and evaluated through surveys, resulting in a perceived accuracy of 91 points and a service satisfaction score of 94 points.

The results are summarized as follows. First, the effect of attitudes toward disabled children on regular integrated childcare attitudes showed that cognitive and emotional factors had a statistically significant positive effect on regular attitudes. Second, the effect of attitudes toward disabled children on children's activities and teachers' concerns for integrated childcare showed that cognitive and behavioral factors had a statistically significant positive effect on children's activities and teachers' concerns. Third, the effect of attitudes toward disabled children on behavioral problems of integrated childcare showed that cognitive, emotional and behavioral factors had a statistically significant positive effect on behavioral problems. As for findings stated as above, there was a difference in integrated childcare attitude depending on regular parents' attitude toward disabled children. This implies that there is a difference in cognitive and emotional attitudes toward disabled children in regular parents, acting as positive factors that raise the integrated childcare attitude for the improvement of perception on these factors. Consequently, for the integrated childcare, both disabled children and regular children should admit each other's diversity and accept different each other's existence, and the perception change of parents, who try to respect and learn together, should be preceded.
