A Meta analysis of variables related to Burnout of nurse in korea (국내 간호사의 소진과 관련된 변인의 메타분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the effect size of protective variables and risk variables based on the previous study which is related to nurse burnout. Master's doctoral and journal degrees from 2005 to 2014, a total of 116 articles side by conducting a meta-analysis suggests a convergence conclusions. The biggest effect size of a nurse burnout protection variable was job variable and the largest effect sized of sub-variable was empathy satisfaction. The biggest effect size of the nurse burnout risk variables was organization variables, the largest effect size of sub variables was the violent reaction. Based on the results of this research, a variety of programs and policy measures for appropriate interventions and arbitration of nurse burnout should be built to decrease the risk variable which can cause nurse burnout and reinforce the protection variable that restrains a nurse burnout.

Suicide among the Elderly in Korea: A Meta-Analysis (노인의 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 요인군에 대한 메타분석)

  • Elderly suicide is a major public health issue in South Korea. The aim of this study was to systematically examine the current knowledge about suicidal ideation among Korean older adults with specific focus on risk and preventive factors. In order to achieve this aim, a meta-analysis was conducted using Korean academic peer-reviewed journals published since 2001. A total of 97 articles were selected that met the research criteria (e.g., original study findings and key words of suicidal ideation, suicidal thought, and suicide). Three domains were identified and used for further analysis: individual, family, and society. Results showed that among individual factors, depression and burden or stress increased the risk of suicidal ideation, while better mental health reduced the risk of suicidal ideation. Among family factors, living alone was a risk factor for suicidal ideation, while family cohesion was a preventive factor for suicidal ideation. Among social factors, elderly discrimination, social isolation, and negative relationships were significant risk factors, while social support, social environment, and social activities were significant preventive factors affecting suicidal ideation. The results suggest several practical implications for developing suicide prevention programs and counseling approaches to address suicidal ideation. For example, depression and stress can be reduced by MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) program where meditation is used as a coping strategy. In addition, counseling programs specifically focused on improving family and social relations should be implemented. Government should continuously support for these programs to prevent suicide among older Koreans.

A Study on Learner Variables Influencing State Curiosity and State Anxiety in Confronting Scientific Task Situation (과학 문제 대면 상황에서 상태호기심 및 상태불안 유발에 영향을 미치는 학습자 변인에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to clarify the effect of learner variables on triggering state curiosity and state anxiety in confronting scientific task situation for fifth to sixth grades of elementary school. Science curiosity, interest, need for cognition, science self-concept, science anxiety, prior knowledge, and perceived difficulty were selected as learner variables that are expected to affect state curiosity and state anxiety. As a result of this study, the variables that had a significant influence on evoking state curiosity in confronting scientific task situation were in the order of interest, need for cognition, science curiosity, and prior knowledge, and all of these variables had a positive effect. In addition, the variables that significantly affect on evoking state anxiety in confronting scientific task situation were in the order of science anxiety, perceived difficulty, need for cognition, science self-concept, and prior knowledge. Of these, only prior knowledge had a negative effect on evoking state anxiety, and the other variables had a positive effect. The results of this study are expected to broaden the comprehension of students' emotional states in science education, and provide a theoretical foundation for the studies of state curiosity and state anxiety in science learning.

Analysis on Influence of Triggering Variables Related the Suicidal Ideation, Suicidal Plan, and Suicidal Attempt: Focussed on Participants in 6th KoWePS (자살생각, 자살계획 및 자살시도와 관련된 유발요인의 영향력 분석: 6차년도 한국복지패널 참여자를 대상으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of triggering variables, such as personal psychological variables, personal and social environmental variables, related the suicidal ideation, suicidal plan, and suicidal attempt. The subjects were participated in the $6^{th}$(2011) KoWePS. and are analyzed with the statistical program AMOS 21.0 as a calling logistic regression. The major findings were as follows: $1^{st}$, depression, self-esteem, subjective healthful status, marital violence, role of sex were related to suicidal ideation. $2^{nd}$, subjective healthful status and problem-drinking were related to suicidal plan. $3^{rd}$, problem-drinking and marital violence was negative related to suicidal attempt. Finally, on the base of this results, the social welfare implications of this study were discussed to reduce and protect suicidal ideation, suicidal plan, and suicidal attempt. and the limitations of this study and the suggestions for future studies were also presented.

  • 흥미는 학습을 비롯한 여러 인지 과제 수행에 있어서 중요한 변인이 된다. 그러나 그 개념의 모호성이나 측정 가능성에 대한 문제 등으로 인해서 이에 대한 직접적인 연구가 부족한 것이 현실이다. 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터 게임의 상황에서 발생하는 흥미와 관련된 변인으로서 주관적 시간 지각과 flow 경험에 대한 설문을 통해서 흥미관련요인을 알아보고자 하였다. 게임에서의 흥미의 경험이 실제 시간보다 짧은 주관적 시간 지각의 왜곡으로 나타날 것이며 flow와 관계된 요인들이 결국 흥미 유발에 유의한 관련성이 있을 것이라고 기대되었다. 결과에 따르면 주관적 시간 지각이 흥미의 정도에 따라 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 도전감, 주의, 시간 왜곡감, 기술, 각성 등의 변인도 흥미와 관련된 것으로 나타났다. 또한 네트웍과 개인 조건에 따른 흥미와 시간의 왜곡감, 전략, 시간 지각의 차이도 역시 유의하였다.

휴먼에러의 선행요인에 관한 탐색적 연구: 기관사와 관제사의 사회심리변인 상관관계분석

  • 기관사와 관제사는 일상적 교번근무의 제도적 틀과 사고 및 장애발생의 가능성을 늘 염려하면서 주어진 과업을 수행해나가고 있다. 최근 철도분야의 휴먼에러에 대한 사회적 관심이 높아지면서 휴먼에러 유발의 원인과 해소방안에 대한 연구관심도 더불어 증대되고 있다. 그 동안 기관사를 대상으로 한 연구가 주류를 이루고 있는 가운데 관제사에 대한 접근은 거의 이루어지지 않았다. 그러나 관제사 또한 안전업무종사자의 일원으로 이들의 과업수행은 휴먼에러와 깊은 관련성이 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 안전업무종사자인 기관사와 관제사의 휴먼에러 및 그 선행요인과 후행요인을 탐색적으로 밝히되 사회심리변인들의 상관관계분석 결과를 토대로 두 직종을 비교관점에서 접근함으로써 좀 더 의미있는 결과를 도출하는데 주력했다.

Differentiation of Children's Emotion with Electrodermal Activity (피부전기반응을 이용한 아동의 정서 구분)

  • 정서와 생리 반응간의 관계에 대한 연구는 주로 성인을 대상으로 이루어졌고, 최근에는 아동정서에 대하나 생리반응 연구도 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 교감신경계의 활성화 지표인 피부전기 반응을 이용하여 아동의 정서를 구분하는데 목적이 있다. 실험참여자들은 남녀 학령 전\ulcorner학령 아동 132명이었다. 다섯 정서를 유발하기 위해 사용한 자극세트는 각 정서를 유발하는데 적합하다고 평가되는 배경음악과 조명 하에서 인형을 통해 들려주는 정서유발이야기로 구성되었다. 정서가 유발되기 전 안정상태와 정서를 경험하는 동안 피부전기활동을 측정하였다. 안정상태에 비해 모든 정서상태에서 피부전기반응이 통계적으로 유의미하게 변화하였다. 다섯 정서간에 피부전기반응의 변인들인, 피부전도수준, 피부전도수준의 수와 피부전도반응의 크기에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 이 결과는 피부전기반응을 이용하여 아동의 정서 구분이 가능함을 시사한다.

The Effects of Priming Emotion among College Students at the Processes of Words Negativity Information (유발된 정서가 대학생의 부정적 어휘정보 처리에 미치는 효과)

  • The present study was conducted to investigate the influences of emotion priming and the number of negation words on the task of sentential predicate reasoning in groups with or without anxiety symptoms. 3 types of primed emotions and 2 types of stimulus and 3 conditions of negation words were used as a within-subject variable. The subjects were instructed to make facial expressions that match the directions, and were asked to choose the correct answer from the given examples. Mixed repeated measured ANOVA analyses on reaction time first showed main effects for the variables of emotion, stimulus, number of negation words and anxiety level, and the interaction effects for the negation words x anxiety combination. These results are presumably suggested to reflect that externally intervening emotion works on language comprehension in a way that anxiety could delay task processing speed regardless of the emotion and stimulus type, meanwhile the number of negation words can slower language processing only in a anxiety group. Implications and limitations were discussed for the future work.

The Effect of Inquiry Teaching Strategy Enhancing the Logical Thinking Skill through the Science Teaching about the 1st Year Students of the Junior High School (과학 수업에서 논리적 사고력 강화 탐구 교수 전략이 중학교 1학년 학생들의 논리적 사고력에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop teaching stratege focused on Conservational reasoning, Proportional reasoning, Variable-controlling reasoning, Probabilitic reasoning, Correlational reasoning, Combinational reasoning and investigate its effects on enhancing students' logical thinking skills through the science teaching on common education. And the teaching materials was implemented to 110 students in middle school over about six months. The results indicated that the experimental group presented statistically meaningful improvement in logical thinking skills (p<05). Especially, this teaching stratege was effective on Conservational reasoning, Variable-controlling reasoning, Combinational reasoning but was not effective on Proportional reasoning, Probabilitic reasoning, Correlational reasoning (p<.05). Logical thinking according to the teaching strategy skill was not affected by gender, cognitive level, academic achievement (p<.05).

An Exploratory Structural Analysis of the Accident Causing Factors in Railway Traffic Controllers (철도관제사의 사고유발 요인에 관한 탐색적 구조분석)

  • This study intended to exploratively testify human error causing factors for railway traffic controller, using AMOS structural equation model. Through literature survey, fatigue and stress as exogenous variable, errors in information process such as cognitive, memory, storage, and execution error as endogenous variable, and accident and incident(near-miss) as dependent variable were set up. Results based on AMOS using 201 railway traffic controllers' questionnaire showed that a clear causality loop like as 'stress ${\rightarrow}$ memory error ${\rightarrow}$ storage error ${\rightarrow}$ incident(near-miss) ${\rightarrow}$ accident' is formed. This result suggests that for the purpose of mitigation of traffic controller's accident, it is so necessary to reduce memory and execution error in the information processing process based on the effective management of stress, as the precedent of them.
