Improved negative capacitance circuit stable with a low gain margin (이득 여유가 작아도 안정한 개선된 네가티브 커패시턴스 회로)

  • An improved negative capacitance circuit that cancels out input impedance of a front-end in a bioimpedance measurement and operates stably with a low gain margin has been proposed. Since the proposed circuit comprises wide-band operational amplifiers, selecting operational amplifiers is easy, while an operational amplifier of prefer bandwidth should be chosen to apply conventional circuit. Also, since gain margin can be controlled by a feedback resistor connected serially with a feedback capacitor, gain margin is tuneable with a potentiometer. The input impedance of the proposed circuit is two times larger than that of the conventional circuit and 40-times than that without a negative capacitance circuit. Furthermore, closed-loop phase response of the proposed circuit is better than that of the conventional circuit or without a negative capacitance circuit. Above all, for the proposed circuit, the frequency at which a gain peaking occurs is higher than the frequency at which the loop gain becomes a maximum. Thus, the proposed circuit is not affected by a gain peaking and can be operated with a very low gain margin.

  • Modern versions of supersonic jet fighter aircraft have several different weapon loading configuration to support air-to-air combat and air-to-ground delivery of weapon modes. These various aircraft loading conditions could result in asymmetric configurations to the aircraft once delivered. These asymmetric configurations could result in decreased handling qualities for the pilot maneuvering, stability, control issues and aerodynamic performance of the aircraft. In order to eliminate or decrease these adverse impacts on the pilot's ability, development of T-50 flight control law attempts to control the aircraft in both longitudinal and lateral-directional axes. Especially, the design of the lateral-directional roll axis control laws, utilizing a simple roll rate feedback structure and gains such as F-16, is developed for the T-50 aircraft to meet the aircraft's design requirements. Consequently, it is found that the improved control law decreases the roll-off phenomenon in lateral axes during pitch maneuver.

A Continuous Fine-Tuning Phase Locked Loop with Additional Negative Feedback Loop (추가적인 부궤환 루프를 가지는 연속 미세 조절 위상 고정루프)

  • A continuous fine-tuning phase locked loop with an additional negative feedback loop has been proposed. When the phase locked loop is out-of-lock, the phase locked loop has a fast locking characteristic using the continuous band-selection loop. When the phase locked loop is near in-lock, the bandwidth is narrowed with the fine loop. The additional negative feedback loop consists of a voltage controlled oscillator, a frequency voltage converter and its internal loop filter. It serves a negative feedback function to the main phase locked loop, and improves the phase noise characteristics and the stability of the proposed phase locked loop. The additional negative feedback loop makes the continuous fine-tuning loop work stably without any voltage fluctuation in the loop filter. Measurement results of the fabricated phase locked loop in $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process show that the phase noise is -109.6dBc/Hz at 2MHz offset from 742.8MHz carrier frequency.

  • 기존의 이산시간 슬라이딩 모드 제어기에서는 주어진 슬라이딩 평면으로부터 등가 제어기를 설계하고 그로부터 폐루프 시스템의 고유값이 결정 되어 폐루프 시스템의 극점을 임의로 배치시키는 것이 어려웠다. 최근 슬라이딩 모드제어에 극점 배치기법을 도입하여 폐루프 시스템의 고유값을 임의로 배치시킬 수 있는 방법이 소개되었다. 그러나 극점 배치 기법은 루프 전달함수의 이득과 위상에 대한 여유도 관점에서 설계된 제어기가 아니므로 직접적으로 이득과 위상에 대한 여유도를 보장하기가 힘들다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 루프 전달함수의 이득과 위상에 대한 여유도를 확보할 수 있고 측정 잡음에 대한 민감성을 줄이기 위해 LTR과 멀티레이트 출력 제어기법을 적용해 해결하는 방법을 제안한다.

  • In this paper, the performance improvement and modeling of small onboard generator were described. As the characteristics of the field coil which are a major parameters of generator were improved, the system bandwidth could be increased, therefore the generator could also be satisfied with fast characteristic loads. Established the brief control model of the generator, it could be possible to do the analysis of generator performance, and improve the operational stability of the generator system using the control model.

  • 현대 산업현장에서 80%이상 사용되는 PID(proportional integral derivative) 제어기는 제어성, 적응성, 제어이득 조정 등의 특정이 있어나 제어 대상에 대한 PID 제어 계수를 경험적 방법인 수동으로 동조해야하는 문제점이 있다. 이를 개선하기 위해 본 논문에서 PID제어기의 최적 자동동조를 위한 릴레이 동조 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 한계감도법과 과도응답 법으로 초기계수를 결정하는 방법보다 유연성과 적용성이 높고, 이를 마이크로프로세서(DSP : TMS-320C32)에 적용하여 소프트웨어적으로 릴레이의 기능이 이루어지도록 설계했다. 이는 Ziegler-Nichols 계수조정법이 갖는 적용대상의 제약성을 극복한 방법이며, 릴레이에 의해 출력을 강제 진동시키고 출력의 진폭과 주기를 이용하여 PID 계수를 조정하고, 또 상대안정성의 척도인 위상여유를 고려하므로 시스템의 상대안정성과 견실성을 향상시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • A design guide to type-3 PLLs for FMCW radars is provided. To do that, the cross-over frequencies of the open-loop transfer functions were normalized to 1 Hz and closed-loop properties were compared through simulations using Pspice. As a result, several guides to design type-3 PLLs were provided: 1) secure 45 degrees of phase margin, 2) locate two zeroes at an identical frequency, and 3) poles may be added to raise order of the PLL at higher frequencies than the cross-over frequency of the open-loop transfer function about ten times.

  • 본 논문은 연료전지를 이용한 양방향 벅-부스트 시스템의 제어기 설계와 해석을 하고자 한다. 제어기 설계는 주파수응답을 해석하여 제어 루프의 안정성과 성능을 고려하여 설계하였다. 제어기의 게인 값은 시스템의 대역폭과 위상여유를 고려하여 선정하였고, 설계된 제어기는 Matlab과 PSIM 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증하였다.

Fabrication of Electrostatic Track-Following Microactuator for Hard Disk Drive Using SOI (SOI를 이용한 하드 디스크 드라이브용 정전형 트랙 추적 마이크로 액추에이터의 제작)

  • We have achieved a high aspect ratio track-following microactuator (TFMA) which is capable of driving 0.3 ${\mu}m$ magnetic head for hard disk drive (HDD). it was fabricated on silicon on insulator (SOI) wafer with 20 ${\mu}m$ trick active silicon and 2 ${\mu}m$ thick thermally grown oxide and piggyback electrostatic principle was used for driving TFMA. The first vibration mode frequency of TFMA was 18.5 kHz which is enough for a recording density of higher than 10 Gb/in$^2$. Its displacement was 1.4 ${\mu}m$ when 15 V dc bias plus 15 V ac sinusoidal driving input was applied and its electrostatic force was 50 N. The fabricated actuator shows 7.51 dB of gain margin and 50.98$^{\circ}$ of phase margin for 2.21 kHz servo-bandwidth.
