Implementation of Standard Entry System for the Constructing Bibliographic Database (서지데이터베이스 구축을 위한 입력시스템 구현)

  • 본 논문에서는 서지데이터베이스 품질향상을 위해 사용자의 요구사항을 기초로 하여 논문형태의 데이터베이스 특성을 파악한 후 표준입력 필드에 해당하는 기준을 정하고 데이터베이스 구축에 적용하는 입력시스템 모델을 구현하고자 한다. 데이터베이스 제작자들의 오류를 최소화하여 정보사용자의 만족도를 충족하기 위한 데이터베이스 구축 방법을 제시하였다. 서지데이터 입력을 위한 표준화된 입력방법을 통해 기존의 편집기를 활용한 텍스트 형태의 데이터베이스 제작시 문제점들을 개선하였으며 사용자 만족도, 데이터 양, 품질향상을 웹을 통한 입력시스템으로 구현하여 서지데이터베이스에 대한 신뢰도를 크게 향상시킬 수 있었다.

  • The purpose of this study is to improve the effectiveness and quality of web service by analyzing the web service problems and suggesting the solutions through the expert service quality evaluation from the point of view of users and website quality evaluation by measurement tools for a whole NDSL website. In case of website analysis, this study analyzed the website completeness of NDSL site and looked into the problem that users can judge by intuition during their use of the site, and evaluated the searchability and usability for web-based service quality evaluation by centering on the service quality of database quality items. After the results of this analysis, it appeared that there was not a big problem on the use. But after searching, several problems were found on loading rates, website completeness, user sensitiveness, the protection of private information, metadata completeness, website accessability, etc. And as a result of the evaluation of website service quality, it does not show the all satisfactory results in the function of search methods and search result printing, mark list and the items related to full-text in the part of searchability and usability. However, comparing with the results of other information organizations, it shows the similar level of quality.

A study on service matching information for Web services Selection and process (매칭 정보를 이용한 웹 서비스 선정방법 및 선정 프로세스에 관한 연구)

  • The search method that web services offers has its limitations. The search service considers only functional factors based on the client's preferences. In order to improve the web service search - which alone only considers functional factors - our research introduces an execution phase which performs both functional and non-functional factors by utilizing WSDL and matching information. Our research studies the architecture of both the service selecting method and the selecting process to help determine the best service solution for the client. We do so, taking into consideration the client's preferences. Our research also studies selecting methods for the best overall service. This service not only considers the matching of functional factors provided by the web service's selecting process, but it is also accommodating by matching the information as defined by the client. This paper research can offer the best quality service preferred by any end-user. Again, this is done by utilizing web services that considers the user's non-functional factors identified by the web service's selecting process and also by extracting matching information.

  • The use of tagging to describes web documents in the form of keyword has experienced rising popularity among various web services. Tagging also plays an important role in collaborative bookmarking services which can be regarded as an online favorite bookmark service. Tags which are created by users make it easier to search other users' bookmarks as well as user's own bookmarks. In this paper we analyze usage patterns of collaborative tagging for exploring factors influencing the number of tags in web documents and users. We discovered that user's characteristics have more effect on the tags than the web documents' characteristics. Moreover, leading users contribute to make a variety of tag than following users. Our study implies that more knowledge can be created through the incentives for leading user in order to improve the service quality of tagging service.

Discovery Methods of Similar Web Service Operations by Learning Ontologies (온톨로지 학습에 의한 유사 웹 서비스 오퍼레이션 발견 방법)

  • To ensure the successful employment of semantic web services, it is essential that they rely on the use of high quality ontologies. However, building such ontologies is difficult and costly, thus hampering web service deployment. This study automatically builds ontologies from WSDL documents and their underlying semantics, and presents discovery methods of similar web service operations using these ontologies. The key ingredient is techniques that cluster parameters in the collection of web services into semantically meaningful concepts, and capture the hierarchical relationships between the words contained in the tag. We implement an operation retrieval system for web services. This system finds out a ranked set of similar operations using a novel similarity measurement method, and selects the most optimal operation which satisfies user's requirements. It can be directly used for the web services composition.

  • Recently many applications are being developed as web technologies are evolved rapidly, but the development emthodology and quality improvement speed of the web apllications is not so. The creations of Most web applications have developed depending on the developer's knowledge and experience without a systematic development methodologies. But the web-based application systems require the various developing gechniques and the rich developing methodogies for a design process. This paper applies the UML(Unified Modeling Language) supporting an object-oriented development methodology to the design and implementation of a mobile customer management system. That is, it appliesthe UML to the system modeling based on a story board and a requirement specification at the web development of the similar web applications. Applying UML to this system achieved the analysis and the design of an web application effciently.

Automated Functionality Test Methods for Web-based Applications (웹 기반 어플리케이션의 기능 테스트 자동화 방법)

  • Recently web applications have growl rapidly and have become more and more complex. As web applications become more complex, there is a growing concern about their quality. But very little attentions are paid to web applications testing and there are scarce of the practical research efforts and tools. Thus, in this paper, we suggest the automated testing methods for web applications. For this, the methods generate an analysis model by analyzing the HTML codes and the source codes. Then test targets are identified and test cases are extracted from the analysis model. In addition, test drivers and test data are generated automatically, and then they are depleted on the web server to establish a testing environment. Through this process we can automate the testing processes for web applications, besides the automated methods makes our approach more effective than the existing research efforts.

  • This study aims to evaluate the quality of databases in scientific and technical fields. The maul discussion is about the quality issues of KORDIC's seven database the most typical web database of scientific and technical fields in Korea. Eighteen evaluation criteria, considered two aspects of data itself and service of database, are used to measure their quality. The purpose of this study Is to diagnose the qualify of databases mentioned above and to analyses the measured result of quality objectively and to find out the problems of them and also to provide possible suggestions for their improvements.

  • World-Wide Web으로 인하여 인터넷 상의 다양하고 고품질의 자료들을 교육 자료에 손쉽게 활용할 수 있는 시대가 도래하였다. 그러나 이러한 자료들은 교육적 효과를 극대화시키기 위해서 좀 더 정제되고, 교육과정에 맞는 흐름을 가질 필요가 있다. 이러한 과정의 흐름을 제공하기 위해서는 웹 상에서 분산되어 독립적으로 존재하는 디지털 문서들을 교육 목적에 맞게 새로운 순서, 즉 문맥화된 순서를 가진 자료로 재구성할 수 있어야 하며, 문서간의 부드러운 내용 전개를 위해서 부가적인 설명이나 기존 문서에 빠져 있는 내용들을 보완할 수 있어야 한다. 본 논문의 연구과정에서 개발된 가상교육 시스템은 교사가 교육용 지식문서를 작성하여 면대면(face to face) 교육에서는 직접 학생들을 교육할 수 있는 교육 자료로 사용될 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 웹을 통해서는 학생 스스로가 부족한 부분을 원하는 시간에 학습할 수 있는 능동적인 교육 환경을 제공할 수 있다. 또한, 가상교육 시스템에 가상문서 개념을 도입함으로써 인터넷 상의 수많은 리소스들을 인용하는 것에 대한 부하를 막을 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷 상의 디지털 컨텐츠를 전문적인 지식을 가진 교사가 교육과정에 맞게 쉽게 재구성해 줄 수 있도록 가상교육 시스템을 설계 및 구현한 내용에 대해 기술한다.

Operation Policy for Enhancing Availability of a Web Server against DoS Attacks (서비스 거부 공격에 대응한 웹서버 가용성 향상을 위한 운용 정책 방안)

  • This paper proposes a 'secure node' to be robust against network-based DoS attacks. The secure node selectively accepts new sessions based on the Zipf's law while a link is in the overload state. Our scheme calculates a threshold value for overload state, and provides a dynamic service mechanism for enhancing availability of a web server. The simulation results show performance improvement of the proposed scheme in terms of completion/connection ratios.
