The Development and Application of Information Communication Technology Application Instruction Model based on PBL-based Instruction Model (프로젝트 학습을 기반으로 하는 ICT 활용 수업 모형의 개발 및 적용)

  • Advances in information communication technology (ICT) require new paradigms in every aspect of our society. In this sense, schools are supposed to educate students to solve real-world problems with ICT. However, schools have not provided quality education to students for learning ICT and applying it. It is thus necessary to develop various ICT instruction models for creative students to lead the information society. One of the popular instruction models using the Web is the project-based model. The model includes inquiry activities of areas, such as variety of subjects, real-world problems, issues, and presentation activities of study results. The model also encourages interactions among students for achieving common goals. In this paper, we present an ICT application instruction which provides four major enhancements to the existing project-based model. The stages of model consist of eight activities type and supporting tools. Also, we implement our proposed model for some elementary school courses.

  • Teaching methods should focus on enabling the students to adopt an open mind towards new experiences and to be flexible to change. Moreover, their purpose lies in encouraging the students to build their ability to discern values so that they can make the right decisions when they are at a crossroad. However, traditional teaching methods were centered on textbooks and on the teachers. This type of teaching method needs to change so that the new teaching method will focus on the students themselves, taking levels of individual students into consideration to enable development of their creativity in line with the demands made during the 21st century, an era of information and globalization. Projected learning method is appropriate for the Physical Education (PE) classes where various activities aim to increase the level of cooperation among students and their investigative skills. Moreover, PE classes pay special attention to the practical aspect. Accordingly, this research makes recommendations for the class execution methods based on projected learning by improving the curriculum for the PE classes, and the effect of these methods are subject to verification.

  • 현재 국내에서 웹을 기반으로 한 e-learning 콘텐츠는 많이 개발되고 있으나 이들 대부분이 매뉴얼 식으로 제작되어 멀티미디어 형식만 빌려 텍스트 형태로만 구성하는 방식이 주를 이루고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 SMIL을 기반으로하여 멀티미디어 아날로그와 디지털 자료를 융합할 수 있는 핵심 기술을 제안하며, 이를 웹 상에서 창의적이고, 자기주도적으로 개인차에 따라 학습 속도를 조절할 수 있는 프로젝트 학습기법을 국내 교육환경에 맞게 교수-학습 이론을 적용하여 설계 구현하였다.

  • It is very active that existing companies of providing e-Learning contents try to differentiate themselves through a business model based on Web 2.0. For instance, Etoos, online education website (www.etoos.com) run by SK Communications has made more space where students can participate in the Web 2.0 era and overhauled its website completely, turning into an open-ended one, which strengthens learning and fun in 2007. This study is to analyze the present state of e-Learning contents with representative e-learning sites for middle and high school students, to find that the development direction for next generation e-Learning lies in developing contents focusing on learners that can get effective feedback and drawing collective intelligence grounded on the essence of Web 2.0, and to suggest 'the project to form virtual private tutor community in e-Learning contents.'

  • The Personal Software Process(PSP) is a rigorous, measurements based process designed to help software developers produce high-quality codes. Learning PSP requires substantial and tedious record keeping including clerical computations with plenty of data occurred at every project. The required task reduces the educational effect and motive by time consuming characteristic and easy occurrence of errors. To alleviate these problems, a web-based PSP log system having streamlined mechanism of data manipulation is designed and implemented at this study. Three years of experiment shows that the system not only improves productivity and accuracy of the process but also allows students and instructors to focus on learning and teaching PSP, rather than PSP data collection.

  • In this paper, we describe a case study of a new lab. project that improves efficiency for education and interest on learning in image processing and pattern recognition related subjects by using LEGO Mindstorms. In addition we verify the validity with analysis of the practical application. LEGO Mindstorms is already used in many educational institution of several countries since about 10 years ago and various case studies have been published. The use of LEGO Mindstorms is generally positive but the negative comments about this exist. The main cause of negative opinion is from unpredictability. The unpredictability from mainly analog characteristics of robot can degrade the effective learning. The describing lab. project suppresses occurrence of unpredictability by minimizing dependence on robots. Students can concentrate on learning the related algorithms by minimizing the learning content and further consideration.

  • This study applied the e-PBL (e-Project-based learning) method for "Urban Forest Management" courses in the Department of Forest Science at S University to progress in university forest education. e-PBL effectively motivates self-directed learning, problem-solving, communication skills, and learners' responsibility by enabling them to choose, design, and perform their projects. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, learners were encouraged to use online media to carry out projects and submit presentations for the campus forest. Learners' educational effects were subsequently investigated through a five-point Likert scale. This study discovered a positive effect on learners' motivation and interest (4.17) through e-PBL. Learners responded that e-PBL also helped their understanding regarding the subject (4.17). In addition, this study provided evidence that the e-PBL method was helpful in problem-solving (4.25), communication (4.33), and decision-making skills (4.21). According to learners' responses, there are positive indications that learners were satisfied with e-PBL. Learners responded that interactions and communications with team members could improve their understanding of the subject. Hence, there is scope for improving an efficient and successful e-PBL model suitable for university forest education by providing more efficient instructional time management, e-PBL method guidelines, and institutional support.

  • 4차 산업혁명과 코로나19 영향으로 개발자 수요가 급증하며, 노코드 및 로우코드 플랫폼과 자연어 처리 기반 인공지능이 주목받고 있다. 본 연구는 프로그래밍 접근성 향상을 위한 노코드 플랫폼을 탐구하며, 사용자가 UI를 통해 직관적으로 프로젝트를 구축할 수 있는 설계 방식을 제시한다. 본 연구에서는 웹 크롤링과 자연어 처리 모델 학습에 기반한 아키텍처와 방향성을 제시한다. 사용자는 화면을 구성하고 프레임워크 선택 후 프로젝트를 간단하게 구축할 수 있다. 이 연구는 전문 지식 없이도 소프트웨어 개발에 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 방법론을 제시하며, 접근성과 포용성 강화에 기여한다.

  • Individual studying that compose knowledge and improve efficiency of studying through collection of information by various class strategy which takes advantage of web, and Cooperative learning that can elevate sense of responsibility and solve the problem through communication with another person have been developed actively. But, individuation tutoring materials that is developed present doesn't fit of causing learner's interest, and stimulating curiosity about problem because mostly studying is gone in presentation form. Also, cooperative learning materials are lacking connection with actual course of education, application is difficult in real class spot. So, this research has applied self-directed learning, centered with interested operation activity, aimed at improvement in various thought. Also, we have developed social studies tuition-learning system, purpose to the management is possible with on-line project studying which could improve mind-decision ability and ICT application ability. This system is developed for flexible management could be possible in various class circumstance, and level learning could be done through accomplishment-test and the result could be applied by feedback process.
