  • 과학교육의 특성상 가장 효과적인 교수 방법은 직접 실험하고, 탐구, 체험 학습을 하는 것이나 시간적, 공간적 제약, 환경 여건, 비용 등을 고려해 볼 때 항상 직접 체험 학습 환경을 제공해 주기는 어렵다. 또한 '지구과학' 영역의 학습은 교실이나 실험실에서 지도하기 어려운 문제점이 있고, 학습 내용들이 본질적으로 가지고 있는 초실험적인 내용이 많아 교수 학습과정에서 많은 어려움을 겪고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 제한점이 많은 초등학교 과학과 '지구과학' 영역에 대하여 직접 탐구하고 체험할 수 있는 환경과 가까운 멀티미디어 웹 기반 코스웨어를 설계 개발하여 이러한 어려움을 보완한다면 과학 교육의 학습 효과를 더욱 높일 수 있을 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 과학과의 지구과학 영역 중 기상 교육을 위한 웹 코스웨어를 설계 개발하여 수업현장에 적용해보고자 한다. 본 연구에서 제시한 웹 코스웨어 학습 프로그램은 단지 디스플레이 형식의 자료에서 벗어나 여러 가지 그림, 소리, 동영상 등의 애니메이션 자료를 제시함은 물론 아동들이 직접 컴퓨터를 조작함으로써 학습목표에 보다 쉽고 재미있게 도달할 수 있도록 제작하여 과학과 교수 학습 방법의 개선을 꾀하고, 학습자들의 과학적 사고력 발달을 도모하고자 한다.

  • This study aims to develop user experience based mathematical program for self-directed learning. To meet its aim this program is designed and developed according to the process and method of 'ADDIE', general design model of education program. The features of this program are as follows. First, teacher can set questions conveniently through intuitive system of web and learner can solve questions at anytime and anywhere through instant access to application. Second, learner can solve different types of questions based on powerful question database and teacher can provide instantaneous feedback on them. Third, learner's circulation learning can be possible by utilizing paper-video explanation and wrong answer note and teacher supports learner's active learning management though group achievement management.

  • With the improvement of the web-technology, web-based cyber education is progressing from the text-based to the hyper-based including multimedia, and from one way of simply giving the contents to the learner to another way of providing mutual interaction between instructors and learners. There are several fields using the dynamic application and multimedia contents. RIA(Rich Internet Application), which. is the new paradigm of the web, provides clients with more effective and rich contents, combining the dynamic application and multimedia contents. With the existing web script language, a lot of time and efforts will be very needed to provide learners with various and rich contents. In this paper, we compare the efforts in developing the RIA based education system with the Non-RIA based education system, then experiment the characteristics of the RIA based education system

  • 현재 인터넷상에서는 유아들을 위하여 온라인 상에서 학습을 할 수 있도록 하는 유아 학습 프로그램이 제공되어져 있는 사이트들을 많이 접할 수 있다. 그러나 여기에는 거의 모든 유아학습 사이트들이 유료화 되어있고 중심이 유아에게만 맞추어져 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 유료화를 없애고 부모들이 유아들을 양육하는데 있어서 꼭 필요한 유익한 정보를 제공하며, 부모가 함께 참여하여 학습할 수 있도록 하는 학습 시스템을 구현하였다. 이 시스템은 플래시를 이용한 무비파일로 이루어져 있어 이를 학습함으로써 유아들의 흥미와 학습하려는 의욕을 향상시킬 수 있다.

  • 컴퓨팅 사고력이나 프로그래밍 체험 및 교육 기회 부족 등으로 인한 자신감 결여와 같은 컴퓨터 학습에 대한 부정적인 태도는 다양한 전공의 예비교사들이 현장에서 소프트웨어를 융합한 교육을 시도하는데 장애요인이 될 수 있다. 안타깝게도 현재까지의 교사양성 교육에서는 ICT 소양 위주의 컴퓨터 교양 교육 외에는 컴퓨팅 사고력이나 소프트웨어 교육에 대해 체험할 수 있는 교육내용이 없는 것이 현실이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제에 대한 해결점을 찾아보고자, 예비교사의 교양 과정에 투입 가능한 컴퓨팅 사고력 기반의 웹 프로그래밍 수업 프로그램을 설계하여, 이를 컴퓨터교육 비전공 예비교사의 교육현장에 기존 ICT소양 위주의 수업내용과 비교하여 투입한 뒤, 수업을 통한 컴퓨터 학습태도의 변화 양상을 관찰하기 위한 기초연구를 수행하였다.

  • 인터넷이 급속히 확산되면서 인터넷을 이용한 원격학습 시스템의 개발이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 원격학습 서비스를 인터넷을 통해 받을 수 있도록 원격 CAI(Computer Assistant Instruction) 기술과 자바(Java) 기술을 이용하여 웹 브라우저상에서 코스웨어(Courseware) 및 문자강의 그리고 원격 OHP를 설계 및 구현하였다. 코스웨어는 오소웨어(Authorware)로 구축하였으며, 문자강의 및 원격 OHP의 서버/클라이언트 프로그램은 자바로 설계 및 구현하였다.

A Study on the Development of Web-based STS Instruction Model for the Scientifically Gifted Students- Centered on Biology Education - (과학영재교육을 위한 웹기반 STS수업모형 개발-생물교육을 중심으로-)

  • The main purposes of this study is to develop a web-based STS biology instruction program (WB-STS) for the scientifically gifted students. The specific main research questions were as follows; 1. How can the WB-STS for biology education be developed and what are the primary components involved in it? 2. Is there any proper validity for developed the WB-STS in biology education? To solve the above mentioned problems, several procedures were applied. First, in order to develop WB-STS for the scientifically gifted students, NCISE, Renzulli' s Enrichment Triad Model and the Iowa Chautauqua program's main characteristics were analyzed systematically and the principles and general process for constructing WB-STS were examined. Additionally, the needs of students and the goals of Biology education were identified thoroughly. And then all these ideas were embodied in an agenda for constructing WB-STS. Second, to analyse the validity and utility of developing WB-STS, a questionnaire was developed and submitted to seven specialists and a group of twenty students who would participate in the experiment later. The main results of study are summarized below: First, WB-STS appeared to be successfully constructed based on Renzulli' s Enrichment Triad Model and the Iowa Chautauqua program. Its main features are that it was made emphasizing a learner-centered approach and constructive learning. It is composed of five steps: Scientific theme selection -${\rightarrow}$Exploration ${\rightarrow}$ Concept & Principle Check ${\rightarrow}$ Finding Solution ${\rightarrow}$ Action. Second, seven specialists and a group of students assessed the developed WB-STS's validity and utility with a questionnaire, the results appeared satisfactory. Students showed high interest in WB-STS and gave a positive evaluation of WB-STS.

  • With the growth of the Internet, web-based cyber education is progressing from the text-based to the hyper-based including multimedia, and from one way of simply giving the contents to the learner to another way of providing mutual interaction between the instructor and the learner. For this, there uses the RIA-based dynamic application and multimedia. RIA, which is the new paradigm on the web, provides the learners with more effective and rich contents. For developing a cyber education system, if we use the existing web languages, a large amount of effort is needed. But if we use the RIA-based paradigm, we can remarkably reduce the effort. Also, in developing a new web-based cyber education system the RIA paradigm makes the learners to satisfy their demands, and in developing the system providing the interaction the paradigm gives us the way minimizing the time and effort. In this paper, we compare and evaluate the efforts in developing the RIA based education system with the Non-RIA based education system.

  • It is necessary to Self Directed Astronomy Learning based on web to bring up individuality and creativity. Accordingly, the contents of this study is constructed by Astronomy which connects with our life but unable to observe actually. The contents is dynamic animation for learner's interest. The learners are able to decide their grade for themselves through the on-line evaluation according to their precedence learning. The Learner is able to evaluate by multiple-choice provide feedback by realtime. The contents is learned by themselves and introduced by the familiar contents in the real life, that is presented as the subject of experiment or observation connected with learning contents in the life.

The Use of Virtual Reality in Web-based Earth Science Education (웹기반 지구과학교육에서 가상현실 기술의 활용)

  • The experimental side of earth science contains a lot of variables that cannot be controlled in the classroom or in the laboratory. Therefore, as one method to overcome these difficulties, a learning program using 3D Virtual Reality technique has been developed. The program was used with 701 middle school students. The result showed that the program had a very positive effect on inducing interest and motivation through a sense of immersion, and it also showed to be a big help in the improvement of space perception ability.
