국내대학 원격솔루션 도입 현황

  • IT시장분석기관인 KRG(Knowledge Research Group)가 국내 300개 대학을 대상으로 조사해 발표한 '국내 대학 원격교육 도입 현황 보고서'에 따르면 국내 대학(2년제 포함)의 원격교육에 관한 관심이 날로 높아지고 있음을 알 수 있다. 네트워크 성능이 발달과 쌍방향 비실시간 교육에 대한 수요확대에 힘입어 국내 대학들은 절반 가까이가 원격교육 시스템을 도입하고 있으며, 비 도입 대학들도 60% 이상이 원격교육 시스템을 도입하거나 도입을 검토하고 있다. 특히 텍스트 중심의 교육보다는 동영상과 연계된 멀티미디어 원격교육에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있는 것으로 보인다. 국내 대학들의 원격교육 솔루션 도입 실태를 살펴보고, 앞으로 원격교육 시장의 발전을 예측해 보고자 한다.

Influence of Beauty Major Students' Motivation for Major Selection and Sense of Belonging on Learning Persistence Intention : A Comparison between General and Cyber Universities (미용전공자의 전공선택동기와 소속감에 따른 학업지속의도 : 일반대학과 원격대학 비교)

  • Universities that previously targeted in 20s have recently diversified their operation methods, founding purposes, and target. With a significant decrease in the school-age population relative to the number of universities, universities are making their best efforts to secure new students and minimize student attrition. In this study, an online survey was conducted to empirically examine the effects of motivation for major selection and sense of belonging on learning persistence intention among students in beauty-related departments at 2-year and 4-year general universities and cyber universities. The collected data from 119 students at general universities and 113 students at cyber universities were analyzed using SPSS 28. The key findings can be summarized as follows: For general universities, motivation for major selection did not have a significant effect on learning persistence intention, but sense of belonging had a significant positive effect. Additionally, an interaction effect was observed, indicating that as the sense of belonging increased, extrinsic motivation significantly increased learning persistence intention. For cyber universities, intrinsic motivation and sense of belonging among motivations for major selection had a significant positive effect on learning persistence intention, while the moderating effect of sense of belonging in the relationship between motivation for major selection and learning persistence intention was not significant. In summary, for general universities, the factor that influenced students' learning persistence intention was a sense of belonging to the university, while for cyber universities, intrinsic motivation played a significant role. These findings are expected to provide meaningful insights and data for universities to develop effective policies for preventing student attrition.

A Study of Technological Standard for Sharing e-Learning Contents among Cyber Universities (원격대학간 콘텐츠 공동활용을 위한 기술 표준화 방안 연구)

  • In recent years, e-Learning has taken an important position in the field of education. In turn, as the number of e-Learning contents continue to grow, many institutions are facing difficulty how to cut down the cost for content development and to reuse contents once made for the future courses. On of the way to solve this problem is to create technological standard for e-Learning contents and platform, for which e-Learning experts are actively participating around the world. The purpose of the study was to suggest technological standard for sharing e-Learning contents, especially among cyber universities which were established with the Life-long Education Act. To achieve the research objective, at first, we reviewed literatures related to the e-Learning standard, surveyed content management policies in cyber universities, and then made suggestions what to do for the standardization.

An Analysis on the Operational state of Distance Universities' Electronic Libraries through the Life-long Education Law (평생교육법령하의 원격대학 전자도서관의 운영 실태 분석)

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze the operational state of Distance universities' electronic libraries through the Lifelong Education Law, and to find out the related problems. The main investigational focus was on the operational methodologies of the libraries and the usage levels of the full-text service. The data were collected through accessing the URLs of 17 Distance universities authorized till 2005. The result is that every university is operating their libraries either on their own $(17.7\%)$ or by using the links to the external libraries $(82.4\%)$. However, only $(35.3\%)$ of the surveyed universities provide the full-text service available on the Internet. Thus, in order to establish the fourth generation Distance university based on the Internet and Web, it is urgently needed to improve the construction and operation standards of electronic libraries in the Lifelong Education Law.

  • 통신체제 및 기술의 발달은 우리 교육에 관한 전통적인 여러 가지 인식체제를 바꾸어 놓고 있다. 앞으로 우리의 교육이 지향하는 이상향은 평생교육 및 학습사회의 실현이라고 할 때 시공간의 한계를 가진 대학교육 이수자들에게 대학도서관 원격봉사제공은 절실히 요구되는 시대적인 요망이다. 이러한 원격교육이 제대로 정착되려면 직장과 사회, 가정, 학교 등이 서로 네트웍으로 연결되어 쌍방향 커뮤니케이션의 다양한 형태로 지식 및 정보들을 서로 공유할 수 있어야하고 이러한 환경을 실현하는데 있어서 원격도서관의 역할은 커지고 있다. 우리나라의 대표적인 정규학위과정 중심대학인 한국방송통신대학교에서 원거리수강자에게 제공되고 있는 대학도서관 봉사의 현황을 조사하여 원격도서관의 효율성을 높이기 위한 제언을 한다.

Curriculum Developments of Geospatial Information Studies for the Cyber University (공간정보 분야의 원격대학 교육과정 개발)

  • By 'National GIS Plan', various strategies and programs have been carried out for the professional training in the fields of geospatial information. The e-learning can make it possible to develop and manage the adaptable curriculums, to maximize the effect of the practical exercises, and to establish the cooperative systems with the industries. In this study, curriculums of the geospatial fields were developed and suggested for the cyber universities. These curriculums were divided into three stages, fundamentals, applications, and advances, and into three tracks, system development and construction, mapping and geospatial data construction, and practice and application, based on the current demands in geospatial industries. Owing to be the modularized structure, proposed curriculums would be easily adapted and updated to the change of the new demands.

The Effect of Academic Stress and ASE(Attitude-Social Influence-Self Efficacy) Model Factors on Academic Persistence of Online University Students (원격대학 학습자의 학업스트레스와 ASE 모델 요인이 학업지속의도에 미치는 영향)

  • An analysis including ASE model accessing based on the intention of behavior performance of online university students is a new approach to improve academic persistence considering the characteristics of students with extensive personal variables, a uniqueness of learning environment. This study aimed to identify the relationship between ASE model including academic stress and academic persistence, and the effect of these factors on academic persistence of online university students. Data were collected from 181 sophomores in K open university from March to June, 2018. Frequency analysis, ${\chi}^2-test$, t-test, F-test, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis used for data analysis. For factors affecting academic persistence, academic stress (${\beta}=-.16$, p=.016), online learning attitude (${\beta}=.44$, p<.001), and social support among social influential factors (${\beta}=.16$, p=.045) were statistically significant and the prediction model of academic persistence showed 29% explanation power (F=15.76, p<.001). To enhance academic persistence of online university students, it is needed to develop programs to reduce academic stress, improve attitude toward online learning, and improve social support.

A Study on the Relationship between Learners' Online Class Satisfaction and LMS Satisfaction (학습자의 원격수업 만족도와 LMS만족도와의 관계연구)

  • This study aims to investigate the degree of influence of LMS on online classes conducted after COVID-19 at C University in Gyeongsangnam-do, and to examine the relationship between overall class satisfaction and LMS satisfaction variables. C University started the project to construct 'Next-generation Smart LMS' and operated it from the first semester of 2021. As a result of conducting a survey about overall class satisfaction and LMS satisfaction consisting of five variables with 140 learners who have experienced online classes at C University. The learners showed high satisfaction not only in overall classes but also LMS. As a result of regression analysis of LMS satisfaction and overall class satisfaction, it was found that the functional convenience of LMS and interaction with instructors had a significant effect on overall class satisfaction. This study has limitations in that it was conducted only at one college and a limited number of variables were measured.

A Study on the operation of smart remote lecture - Focusing on Cisco Webex meeting- (스마트 원격강의 운영에 관한 연구 -시스코 웹엑스 미팅을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to lay the groundwork for the operation method for correctly operating remote lectures at universities. Among the universities that started non-face-to-face classes due to 'COVID-19', college students and graduate students from some universities who conducted remote lectures through Cisco's Webex meeting were studied on how to operate the remote lecture platform. First, the requirements for lectures for remote lectures were established through the literature survey, and effective operation measures were proposed through the survey. The research method was conducted on a total of 45 college and graduate students from April 21 to May 15, 2020. The results of the study showed that the operation plan for the basic and meeting elements. Based on this study, we expect it to be used in disaster situations or classes that may occur after COVID-19. In the future, the usability evaluation of the remote class platform and the direction in which the domestic remote lecture platform should move should be presented.
