Low-cost AGV Lane Detector Design using Bluetooth (블루투스를 이용한 저비용 AGV 차선 검출기 설계)

  • A smart factory is a key industrial application introduced by the 4th industrial revolution. The automatic guided vehicle (AGV) is one of the technology realizing smart factory, but the development cost is high due to its early stage of technology. Although developing a low-cost AGV requires a lot of data, it has limited data acquisition capability because of the limited storage and the AGV movement. Hence, we propose a development environment using Bluetooth to collect data and design a lane detector. The proposed lane detector shows a high lane detection ratio regardless of light variation and a shade.

Preliminary Assessment of Radiological Impact on the Domestic Railroad Transport of High Level Radioactive Waste (고준위 방사성폐기물의 국내철도운반에 관한 방사선영향 예비평가)

  • In Korea, commercial nuclear power plants and research reactors have on-site storage systems for the spent nuclear fuel, but it is difficult to expand the facilities used for the storage systems. If decommissioning of nuclear power plants starts, an amount of high level radioactive waste will be generated. In this study, a radiological impact assessment of the railroad transport of high level radioactive waste was carried out considering radiation workers and the public, using the developed transport container as the transport package. The dose rates for workers and the public during the transport period were estimated, considering anticipated transport scenarios, and the results compared with the regulatory limit. A sensitivity analysis was also carried out by considering the different release ratios of the radioactive materials in the high level radioactive waste, and different distances between the transport container and workers during loading and unloading phases and while attaching another freight car. For all the anticipated transport scenarios, the radiological impacts for workers and the public met the regulatory limits.

  • 화물자동차 중에서 화물대형차는 한번의 운반으로도 많은 화물을 운송하며 이에 따른 여러 가지 운행상 조건에 따라 어려움이 발생하고 있다. 또한 화물대형차의 교통사고는 차가 크고 많은 화물을 싣고 다니기 때문에 대형사고로 이어지기 쉽다. 그리고 차체 구조상 인명피해뿐만 아니라 재산상의 피해를 미치게 하는 운송수단으로서 교통사고를 미연에 예방하자는 것이 이 연구의 목적으로 화물대형차 및 특수대형 차의 교통사고 원인을 파악하고 운행실태 및 직접운전자의 인터뷰와 설문을 통하여 화물대형차 교통사고의 원인규명과 문제점을 도출하고 제도 개선안을 만들어 결론으로는 우리나라의 화물대형 차의 교통사고 예방을 위한 대책이 될 수 있도록 하는 연구이다.

Corrosion Loss of the Shell Plates of the General Cargo Vessels and the Lumber Carriers According to the Age (일반화물선과 원목운반선의 선각외판 부식도의 선령별 변화)

  • Corrosion loss of the shell plates of the steel vessels are measured and analyzed on the thirty cargo vessels and fifteen lumber carriers of which nationality belong to Korea. Thickness of the shell plates were determined at the every observed points set along the fore and aft line and perpendicular to it, by use of the ultrasonic thickness meter. Difference of the thickness between the original and the determined shell plates are given as the corrosion loss at the present age. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. On the cargo vessels, (1) The total mean of the corrosion loss is greatest at the light waterline, in every age class of the vessels. (2) The total mean of the corrosion loss on the fore and aft line shows little difference, even though it is slightly greater at the fore part, in every age class of the vessels. (3) Corrosion loss along the perpendicular line grows greater in the order of freeboard, load waterline, upper bilge line and light waterline, within the 16 of the age of the observed vessels. Its order varies to freeboard, upper bilge line, load waterline and light waterline in the age of 35. Corrosion loss at the light waterline and load waterline, in the age of 35, shows 3 times of it at the freeboard, and it at the upper bildge line shows twice of it at the freeboard. The fact significates the corrosion grows rapidly around the waterline. 2. On the lumber carriers, (1) The total mean of the corrosion loss is greatest at the upper bilge line, in the every age class of the vessels. (2) Total mean of the corrosion loss on the fore and aft line shows little difference, even though it is slightly greater at the fore part, in every age class of the vessels. (3) Corrosion loss along the perpendicular line is least at the freeboard and greatest at the upper bilge line, and its value at the upper bilge line shows twice of it at the freeboard. 3. The total mean of the corrosion loss of the lumber carriers shows almost twice of the cargo vessels.

  • We usually use the simulation technique in the evaluation and the test of a design alternative of Automated Guided Vehicle System. In this paper, we introduce a simulation code generator which can assist simulation programmer in model development and programming. It consists of user interface, program editor, and program sorter. SIMAN is used as the target language.

  • In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, manufacturing is the implementation of smart factories through digital transformation, and refers to consumer-centered intelligent factories that combine next-generation digital new technologies and manufacturing technologies beyond the existing factory automation level. In order to successfully settle such a smart factory, it is necessary to train professionals. However, education for smart factories is difficult to have actual field mechanical facilities or overall production processes. Therefore, there is a need for a system that can visualize and control the flow and process of logistics at the actual production site. In this paper, the logistics flow of the actual site was implemented as a small FMS, a physical system, and the production process was implemented as a digital system. In real-time synchronization of the physical system and the digital system, the location of AGV and materials, and the process state can be monitored to see the flow of logistics and process processes at the actual manufacturing site. The developed digital twin system can be used as an effective educational system for training manpower in smart factories.

Driving Control of Automated Guided Vehicle Using Centroid of Gravity Method (무게중심법을 이용한 무인 운반차(AGV)의 운전제어)

  • AGV is most often used for the automation of freight transportation in the manufacturing industry or the distribution warehouses. AGV is fairly costly and used in goods transport between the determined location. The main control device dedicated to AGV is often autonomously developed for simplification using PLC in industry field. However, AGV developed for simplification makes many errors in traffic because it is developed for the limited simple function. Control device dedicated to AGV has been developed to solve the problem but it is almost impossible to revise the device according to the character and structure of every manufacturing industry. The purpose of this study is to propose the design method of the control system interlocked with PLC and dedicated to AGV. The control system should be to improve the problem of traffic rolling and possible to be revised according to the character of factory. It is apparent the proposed AGV system is efficient in operation in the result of several traffic performance analysis through the tests.
