Free Vibration Analysis of Shell Structures with Elastic Supports (탄성지지를 갖는 셀구조물의 자유진동해석)

  • 셀구조물은 선박, 항공기, 우주선 등의 산업분야에 자주 사용되는 중요한 구조요소로서, 이에 대한 연구도 공학적 필요성에 의해 많은 연구가 진행되어 왔다. Maddox등의 Rayleigh-Ritz법, Srinivasan and Bobby의 적분방정식 기법, Petyt의 유한요소법, Irie, Henderson등의 전달매트릭스법, 그 외 Webster, Petyt and Deb Nath, Blevins, Srinivasan and Krishnan등에 의해 여러가지 해석방법의 진동해석이 행해져 왔다. 현재 주로 사용되고 있는 매트릭스 구조해석 및 진동해석 방법으로는 유한요소법과 전달매트릭스법을 들 수 있다. 유한요소법은 범용적인 해석 프로그램의 개발은 수월하지만 대규모의 선형 연립방정식의 해법에 귀착되므로, 기억용량이 큰 대형컴퓨터가 필요하고, 반면 전달매트릭스법은 기억용량이 적은 퍼스널컴퓨터로도 계산수행이 가능하나 고차의 고유진동수를 구할 경우나, 중간에 단단한 경탄성지지가 존재할 경우 등에는 수치계산상의 문제점이 지적되고 있다. 이에 대한 대책으로, 상태변수를 바꾸어 넣은 Riccati방법, 각 절점의 기지의 상태변수를 제거하는 Frontal법, 전달매트릭스와 강성매트릭스를 결합시키는 방법 등이 보고 되고 있다. 이에 자자들은 퍼스널컴퓨터 이용에 적합한 고속, 고정도의 구조해석 및 진동해석 기법으로 전달영향계수법을 제안하여, 원판구조물, 사각판구조물, 원통형 셀구조물 등의 여러가지 형상구조물의 자유진동 해석에 적용해서, 종래의 전달매트릭스법에 비해 계산정도 및 계산속도의 양면에서 매우 우수함을 보고한바 있다. 본 연구에서는 동적영향계수의 축차전달에 그 개념을 두고 있는 전달영향계수법을 좀 더 일반화시키고 체계화시키기 위하여 탄성지지를 갖는 셀구조물에 적용하여 자유진동 해석 알고리즘을 정식화한 후, 간단한 모델에 대한 수치실험을 통해서 전달 영향계수법으로 구한 해를 전달매트릭스법의 결과와 비교.검토하여 본 방법의 유용성을 확인하였다.

  • 발전소, 소각시설 및 산업공정에서 다량으로 배출되는 질소산화물(NOx)을 처리하기 위하여 과잉공기 연소시 고온에서 암모니아(NH$_3$)나 요소(CO(NH$_2$)$_2$)를 환원제로 사용하는 SNCR법, 그리고 암모니아와 각종 촉매를 사용하여 NOx를 $N_2$로 환원시키는 SCR법이 주로 개발ㆍ상용화되었다. 최근 90년대 초반부터 NOx의 제거기술은 Cu-ZSM-5, Alumina 통의 경제적이고 효과적인 촉매의 개발과 암모니아 사용으로 인한 부담요소를 제거하고자 다양한 HCs를 대체사용하는 방향으로 많은 연구가 진행되었다.(중략)

Finite Element Analysis of Residual Stress after Quenching and Element Removal of A1 Ring Rolls (알루미늄 링롤재의 급냉 및 요소제거 후 잔류응력의 유한요소해석)

  • To predict residual stresses of aluminum ring rolls after quenching and element removal, 2-D and 3-D thermal elasto-plastic analyses were performed. Strains measured by three step sectioning method were directly compared to those analysed using ABAQUS's element removal. Numerical residual stresses after quenching had similar tendency to measured ones after 2 step aging, but the difference between numerical and measured ones was large. The difference is the reason why there are nonuniform residual stress distributions to ring height direction due to small height of ring, It is judged that the increase of ring height will improve the accuracy of measured ones and decrease the difference. By direct comparison between 3-D numerical strains to simulate three step sectioning method and measured ones, the accuracy of measurement and analysis can be improved. It is concluded that there can be predicted the deformation behavior on machining complex shaped large structures with residual stresses.

  • For stiffened plates composed of composite materials, many researchers have used a finite element method which connected isoparametric plate elements and beam elements. However, the finite element method is difficult to reflect local behavior of stiffener because beam elements are transferred stiffness for nodal point of plate elements, especially the application is limited in case of laminated composite structures. In this paper, for analysis of laminated composite stiffened plates, 3D shell elements for stiffener and plate are employed. Reissner-Mindlin's first order shear deformation theory is considered in this study. But when thickness will be thin, isoparamatric plate bending element based on the theory of Reissner-Mindlin is generated by transverse shear locking. To eliminate the shear locking and virtual zero energy mode, the substitute shear strain field is used. A deflection distribution is investigated for simple supported rectangular and skew stiffened laminated composite plates with arbitrary orientation stiffener as not only variation of slenderness and aspect ratio of the plate but also variation of skew angle of skew stiffened plates.

  • This paper presents progressive fracture analysis of concrete using boundary element method and its stabilizing technique. To determine ultimate strength and to predict nonlinear behavior of concrete during progressive crack growth, the modelling of fracture process zone is done based on Dugdale-Barenblatt model with linear tension-softening curve. We regulate displacement and traction boundary integral equation of solids including crack boundary and analyze progressive fracture of concrete beam and compact tension specimen. Also a numerical technique which considers the growth of stress-free crack of concrete during the analysis and removes snapback of postpeak behavior is proposed.

  • In order to determine the three-dimensional position in photogrammetry, a spatial resection is a pre-requisite step to determine exterior orientation parameters. The existing spatial resection method is a non-linear equation that requires initial values of exterior orientation parameters and has a problem that a gimbal lock phenomenon may occur. On the other hand, the spatial resection using quaternion is a closed form solution that does not require initial values of EOP (Exterior Orientation Parameters) and is a method that can eliminate the problem of gimbal lock. In this study, to analyze the stability of the quaternion-based spatial resection, the exterior orientation parameters were determined according to the different layout of control points and were compared with the determined values using existing non-linear equation. As a result, it can be seen that the quaternionbased spatial resection is affected by the layout of the control points. Therefore, if the initial value of exterior orientation parameters could not be obtained, it would be more effective to estimate the initial exterior orientation values using the quaternion-based spatial resection and apply it to the collinearity equation-based spatial resection method.

Comparison of Single and Sandwich Collagen Gel on the Survival and Metabolism of Rat Hepatocytes Primary Cell Culture (쥐 간세포 일차배양 세포의 생존능과 대사능에 단층과 복층 콜라젠 젤이 미치는 영향의 비교)

  • We compared the effects of two different systems of collagen matrix protein application on the survival and the biological functions of cultured primary hepatocytes. The rat liver primary hepatocytes were grown for approximately 40 days in vitro either on single collagen gel or between collagen sandwich gels. The morphological changes were observed for this culture period. While the hepatocytes grown on single gel began to die around at 7 days of culture, the cells grown between collagen gels still maintained their viability and began to die after 15 days. As markers for liver hepatic functions, we determined the biochemical activities of hepatocytes such as the secretions of albumin, fibronectin, fibrinogen, urea, and the reduction of secreted ammonia. We found that the rat hepatocytes cultured between collagen gels maintained fairly good biochemical functions than the hepatocytes cultured on single gel did. Therefore, the application of an extracellular matrix protein, collagen, in sandwich form was confirmed as a better choice for maintaining the functional hepatocytes culture for long term in vitro.

Extraction of Ground Points from LiDAR Data using Quadtree and Region Growing Method (Quadtree와 영역확장법에 의한 LiDAR 데이터의 지면점 추출)

  • Processing of the raw LiDAR data requires the high-end processor, because data form is a vector. In contrast, if LiDAR data is converted into a regular grid pattern by filltering, that has advantage of being in a low-cost equipment, because of the simple structure and faster processing speed. Especially, by using grid data classification, such as Quadtree, some of trees and cars are removed, so it has advantage of modeling. Therefore, this study presents the algorithm for automatic extraction of ground points using Quadtree and refion growing method from LiDAR data. In addition, Error analysis was performed based on the 1:5000 digital map of sample area to analyze the classification of ground points. In a result, the ground classification accuracy is over 98%. So it has the advantage of extracting the ground points. In addition, non-ground points, such as cars and tree, are effectively removed as using Quadtree and region growing method.

Variation of time-dependent convection beat transfer coefficients in beat transfer analysis at various initial beating rates of tunnel fire scenarios (요소제거모델을 활용한 열전달해석에서 터널 화재이력곡선의 초기가열구배에 따른 대류열전달계수의 변화)

  • The initial heating rate is well known as one of the most influencing factors on the occurrence of spalling and the loss of strength in concrete after fire initiation. In this study, a series of fire tests were carried out at different initial heating rates to find out its effects on the deterioration of tunnel structural members. Heat transfer analyses combined with an element elimination model were also carried out to verify its applicability in the same conditions as the fire tests. Moreover, the convection heat transfer coefficients compatible with fire test results were derived from parametric studies. In this course, their time-dependent variations were also analyzed at different initial heating rates. Finally, a numerical formula to estimate the heat transfer coefficients at the various initial heating rates was proposed by the interpolation of the results of numerical analyses.

  • In the numerical analysis of En (eddy current testing) using 3-dimensional FEM (finite element method), MVP (magnetic vector potential) and electric scalar potential are used as variables in conductor region. Three dimensional modeling makes number of unknowns increase, and the degree of freedom of variables also makes number of unknowns increase. Because of this reason, modified UP is used to reduce the number of unknowns. Gauge condition is enforced artificially on existing FEM formulations to insure the uniqueness of MVP. So in this paper the effects of these FEM formulation procedures on ECT are investigated and the appropriate FEM formulation is suggested for accurate ECT simulation.
