Purpose: To examine the effects of appearance satisfaction on school adjustment among adolescents and, further, the mediating effects of self-efficacy between appearance satisfaction and school adjustment. Methods: Conducted a self-report survey of 640 students consisting of sixth, eighth, and tenth graders in the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. The collected data were analyzed through the independent-sample t-test, the One-way ANOVA, the Pearson's correlation analysis, and the hierarchical multiple regression analysis using the SPSS WIN 18.0 statistical program. Results: First, boys and girls showed statistically significant differences. Boys reported higher levels of appearance satisfaction, school adjustment, and self-efficacy than girls. Second, there were no significant differences in appearance satisfaction and self-efficacy according to the school level. However, statistically significant differences were observed in school adjustment between sixth and eighth graders. Third, students who thought they belonged to the upper class in terms of academic performance and family economy showed the highest level of appearance satisfaction, school adjustment, and self-efficacy. Fourth, there were positive correlations between appearance satisfaction, self-efficacy, and school adjustment. Fifth, self-efficacy proved to have mediating effects between appearance satisfaction and school adjustment among adolescents. In particular, it had a full mediating effect on the relation between appearance satisfaction and adjustment to school life, one of the subfactors of school adjustment. Conclusion: The results suggest that appearance satisfaction is a factor which influences adolescents' school adjustment and that self-efficacy is an important means of mediating between appearance satisfaction and school adjustment. The study is significant in that it highlighted the importance of self-efficacy as one of the important variables to consider when planning various educational programs to help adolescents adjust to their school. In the light of the findings, in an effort to enhance adolescents' self-efficacy and help them lead a harmonious school life in Korea's so-called 'lookism' society, it is necessary to develop and implement counseling programs and character education materials that help adolescents develop a positive perception of their appearance and build self-esteem and self-confidence.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to examine correlation between subjective oral health status and oral-related appearance satisfaction of college students. 100 college students at a college located in Gyeonggi-do participated in the survey, oral examinations, and self-rated oral hygiene management ability tests. The data was then analyzed accordingly. Methods: Frequency test and chi-square statistical analysis were conducted on general characteristics and subjective oral health status, and SAS version 9.2 was used. Results: As a result of this study, students' subjective perceptions about oral health had positive correlation with oral-related appearance(p <0.05). It is noteworthy that those who responded on 'satisfactory' oral health status indicated that 16% 'unsatisfactory', 28% 'average' and 68% 'satisfactory' on oral-related appearance. Students' self-rated oral hygiene management ability and irregular teeth conditions were also found relevant in causing discomfort in interpersonal activities, whereas students responded 'satisfactory', 0.00%; 'average', 31.82%; 'unsatisfactory' 68.18% (p <0.05). Conclusion: This study suggests that oral-related appearance can have an impact on oral health status and that oral-related appearance can be a contributing factor to improve oral health status and therefore results in promotion of general health. In the future, further research should be considered about perception on oral-related appearance, oral health status and any resulting behavior changes.

외모의 중요성이 날로 증가하는 사회적 분위기 속에서 현대인의 아름다움에 대한 노력과 욕구는 더욱 활성화하고 다양해지고 있으며 이러한 영향으로 인해 뷰티미용 산업은 점점 세분화, 전문화되는 추세이다. 현대인의 과도한 퍼머넌트 웨이브나 헤어 컬러링으로 말미암아 모발 손상은 불가피한 현실인데 모발이 손상될수록 모표피가 벗겨져서 탈락하면서 인장력도 감소하여 헤어스타일링이나 펌 이후 만족도도 상대적으로 감소한다. 따라서 손상 모발에 대한 관리는 필요하지만 시중에 유통 중인 헤어 트리트먼트제는 인공합성 제품이 대부분을 차지하고 있어 인체에 유용한 항산화 물질을 함유한 헤어 트리트먼트 제품 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 단풍잎 추출물을 컬러링 한 모발의 역학적 변화에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 단풍잎의 손상 모발 회복과 모발 건강 개선을 위한 헤어 트리트먼트제 원료로서의 가능성을 연구하였다. 본 연구는 향후 천연물을 활용한 모발 미용제품 개발을 위한 기초 자료로 활용되리라 사료한다.

This study examined the longitudinal effects of appearance satisfaction and Korean language skills on the self-esteem and school adjustment of multicultural adolescents. The study used data from 1,151 multicultural adolescents from the $3^{rd}$, $4^{th}$, and $5^{th}$ waves of the Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study (MAPS). Data were analyzed by means of descriptive statistics, Cronbach's alpha, correlation, and structural equation modeling. The results are as follows. First, appearance satisfaction and Korean language skills at grade 6 significantly predicted higher self-esteem at grade 7. Second, there was a significant influence of high levels of self-esteem at grade 7 on positive school adjustment of grade 8. Last, the self-esteem at grade 7 had a significant mediating effect in the relationship between appearance satisfaction and Korean language skills at grade 6 and school adjustment at grade 8. The results of this study highlighted the importance of self-esteem as a mediating factor in the connection between appearance satisfaction and Korean language skills as well as the level of school adjustment. This provides supporting evidence to many educators and parents for the implementation of effective support practices for multicultural adolescents to enhance their school adjustment. Other related implications of these findings and suggestions for future research are also discussed.

화장은 인간의 기본적인 미적 욕구충족 뿐만 아니라 사회적 대인 관계, 심리적 작용, 자기 강화 등에 긍정적으로 작용하는 것을 알 수 있다 이처럼 화장을 통한 만족도는 대인 관계의 성향에도 긍정적인 영향을 준다. 여기서 주목할 것은 화장 행위의 다양한 기능들은 모두 심리학적 효과를 가지며 다양한 사회적 효용으로 발전될 수 있다는 것이다 우리나라의 경우는 미용분야, 화장품, 보건 분야, 의류학 분야의 심리 연구는 많이 되고 있으나, 화장 심리, 화장 치료에 대한 연구는 아직 그다지 활발하게 이루어지지 않고 있다. 화장은 외모뿐만 아니라 마음을 장식하고 움직일 수 있는 심리적 효과를 가지고 있다. 화장의 심리학적 접근으로 많은 연구를 하여, 화장 심리에서 적극적인 화장 치료로 발전되기를 기대한다. 그래서 우울증 환자나 치매 노인, 화상 환자에게 도움이 되었으면 한다 이를 위해서는 화장 치료법과 특수 화장품에 대한 많은 연구가 필요하며, 적극적인 화장의 효과성에 대한 검토도 아울러 이루어져야 할 것이다. 그리고 화장 행위의 심리적 효과에 대한 타당성을 알아보기 위한 기초 자료들을 제시하고자 하며, 앞으로 화장의 심리적 효용에 대한 연구에 도움이 되었으면 한다.

본 논문은 취업하고자하는 학생의 빅데이터를 분석하여 최적의 취업 성공률을 높이기 위한 취업 전략 구축 방법을 제안한다. 특히 취업 방향을 잘 결정하지 못하여 취업률이 낮은 2년제 여자전문대학생을 대상으로 실험을 했으며, 기존 취업 전략의 중대한 문제점은 구직업체의 요구에 의해 학생들의 학교 성적 정보, 외모, 성격 등 단순한 정보만으로 구직에 참여하게 된다. 이로 인해 취업하려는 학생들의 만족도가 떨어지고, 취업 후 부적응 사례로 중도 직장을 포기하는 사태가 발생한다. 이런 문제를 해결하기 위해서 빅데이터 분석을 이용하여 취업 전략을 구축하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 증명하기 위해 전년 대비, 2014년 취업 통계 데이터로 증명했으며, 취업의뢰건도 전년 대비 21.3%가 상승했고, 기업과 학생간 취업 매칭률도 전년대비 81.4%증가 했다. 가장 중요한 최종 취업성공률도 전년 대비 63.1%가 증가한 것으로 나타났다.

This study aims to explore the diverse characteristics of obese groups of Korean males in their 20's to 40's. A total of 201 males who each had a BMI (Body Mass Index) of 23 or over were recruited through a convenient sampling. Samples were categorized into groups of overweight, slightly obese, and severely obese, and submitted for data analysis. Results are summarized as follows. First, in terms of demographic characteristics, slightly and severely obese males were older than overweight males. There were also group differences in marital status and household income. Second, slightly and severely obese groups demonstrated a higher perception of obesity and a lower perception of health than did the overweight group. Third, there were no group differences in body satisfaction, socio-cultural attitudes toward appearance, and self-esteem. Based on these results, we concluded that overweight, slightly obese, and severely obese groups were distinguishable from each other in terms of their demographic characteristics, whereas the slightly obese group and the severely obese group were not different in terms of perception of obesity, perception of health, weight control behaviors, body satisfaction, body image, socio-cultural attitudes toward appearance, and self-esteem. These findings may reflect that people may not become increasingly sensitive to socio-psychological stimulations as they gain more weight if they have exceeded a certain level of obesity. This observation provides meaningful implications for the differences among obesity groups given the lack of prior research focusing on this issue.

자연치아가 모두 상실되면, 저작이나 발음 등의 기능이 불가능할 뿐 아니라 심미성에 있어서도 노인성 안모를 가지게 되어 대단히 비심미적인 외모를 하게 된다. 총의치를 장착함으로써 저작기능도 회복되며, 총의치에 의한 구강 주위조직의 적절한 지지가 이루어짐으로써 심미성의 회복도 가능해진다. CAD/CAM을 이용한 의치는 저장된 데이터를 이용하여 언제든지 신속하게 의치의 재제작이 가능하고, 높은 강도와 밀도를 가지는 의치상이 장점이라고 할 수 있다. 본 증례에서는 최종의치 기공과정에서 악간관계채득 단계까지는 전통적 방식으로 진행한 후, 이후 최종의치 완성 전 기공과정을 전통적 방식과 CAD/CAM을 이용한 방식으로 나누어서 진행하였다. 이후 각각을 평가하여 환자가 만족하는 임상결과를 얻었기에 이를 보고하는 바이다.

이 연구는 여성 노인들의 라인댄스 체험 동기와 의미를 살펴보고자 C시 J군에 소재한 보건소에서 라인댄스 프로그램에 참여한 여성 노인 6명을 연구 참여자로 선정하였다. 자료는 심층면담과 참여 관찰을 통해 수집하였다. 자료는 전사, 주제별 약호화, 의미 범주화 및 개념화의 단계를 거쳐 내용을 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 여성 노인들의 라인댄스 참여 동기는 주변의 권유나 건강의 회복과 유지, 행복을 추구하기 위해 참여하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 라인댄스 체험은 춤이 즐거움을 주며, 누구나 출 수 있다는 춤에 대한 인식을 변화시켰다. 셋째, 라인댄스는 신체와 외모에 대한 관심과 자신감을 향상시켰다. 넷째, 라인댄스는 새로운 친구를 사귀고, 어울릴 수 있는 인간관계 형성을 위한 공간을 제공한다. 다섯째, 라인댄스 체험은 무용을 통한 성취감과 몰입감을 향상시켰다. 여섯째, 가족들의 지지와 칭찬은 자존감을 높이고 전반적인 삶의 만족도와 행복감을 증진시켰다.

4차 산업혁명시대를 사는 현대인에게 경쟁력과 직결되는 외모는 필수적 자기관리 중 하나로 정착한 가운데 탈모는 헤어스타일 연출의 위해요소로 작용한다. 이렇게 고통 받는 고객을 위한 보다 실용적이고 편리한 가발 제작을 목적으로 정보검색 포털사이트를 통해 연구 대상의 자료를 수집했으며 키워트와 키프리스를 통해 특허출원 동향을 검색하여 가발기술의 시대별 특허동향과 국내 굴지 가발업체의 신소재 개발 동향에 대해 분석하였다. 연구결과 2005년 이전은 가발의 부착과 결속기술, 2006년에서 2013년경은 가발의 인조 모발 관련 제조기술, 2014년 이후는 기능성 관련 가발 기술이 다수 출원된 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 H사와 M사 모두 각자의 특성을 지닌 형상기억 소재와 나노스킨의 신소재 개발 동향을 나타냈다. 본 연구는 가발 산업시장에서 고객에게 편안하고 간편한 착용감을 제공하면서 고객만족까지 도출할 수 있는 기능성 가발 개발의 기초자료로 제공되리라 사료한다.
