Euler's formula provides the topological characteristics of geometrical objects including polyhedra, and so an important mathematical concept. Descriptions on Euler's formula had been in the textbooks according to the 3rd through 7th National Mathematics Curriculum. However, they are gone after that. In this study, we focus on Euler characteristic and Euler's formula as an educational material for educations for the gifted or after-school educations. We first look at the mathematical history and the applications of Euler's formula and national curriculums to search for its mathematical and educational meaning. We further make a suggestion for a learning environment which provides a better education relying on search activities, not just depending on memorization, illuminated from the education of Euler's formula.

다면체에 대한 오일러 수의 개념은 잘 알려져 있다. 이 수는 위상 불변량이기 때문에 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 다면체의 꼭지점, 모서리, 면의 개수로 정의된 함수 중에서 본질적으로 올리러 수만이 위상 불변량임을 증명한다.

J. Bernoulli first discovered the method which one can produce those formulae for the sum $S_n(k)=\sum_{{\iota}=1}^n\;{\iota}^k$ for any natural numbers k. After then, there has been increasing interest in Bernoulli and Euler numbers associated with Riemann zeta functions. Recently, Kim have been studied extended q-Bernoulli numbers and q-Euler numbers associated with p-adic q-integral on $\mathbb{Z}_p$, and sums of powers of consecutive q-integers, etc. In this paper, we investigate for the historical background and evolution process of the sums of powers of consecutive q-integers and discuss for Euler zeta functions subjects which are studying related to these areas in the recent.

기존의 솔리드 모델링 시스템은 형상 표현에 있어서의 제약성과 통합 시스템으로서의 폐쇄성으로 인하여 응용 범위에 제약이 따른다. 이러한 약점을 극복하고자 하는 노력의 일환으로서, 최근에 등장한 것이 비다양체 모델을 지원하는 CAD 시스템 커널이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 비다양체 모델을 지원할 수 있는 모델링 커널 시스템 개발의 기초가 되는 비다양체 자료구조와 이것을 바탕으로 한 오일러 공식 및 오일러 작업에 대해 소개한다. 그리고 이러한 오일러 작업을 실제로 구현하여 모델링 작업을 수행해 봄으로써, 본 논문에서는 제안된 비다양체 자료구조와 오일러 작업의 유용성을 보인다.

고도의 산업발달은 인간환경과 밀접한 하구와 해안의 오염을 심화시켜 최근 사회적 문제로 대두되고 있으며, 이에 오염물질의 이동을 예측하고 제어하려는 노력이 꾸준이 진행되어 왔다. 이 같은 노력은 수치모형을 이용한 수질관리 연구에도 많은 진전을 가지고 왔으며, 오일러적 모형, 라그랑쥐적 모형, 오일러-라그랑쥐 적 모형이 대표적이다. 오일러-라그랑쥐적 모형은 이류에 대해 라그랑쥐적 방법, 확산에 대해 오일러적 방법으로 해석함으로서 각 방법들의 장점을 취하여 수치적 진동, 수치적 확산이 적고 효율성이 뛰어나 최근 많이 연구되고 있다. This Paper aims to introduce Euler's life, works and thoughts, to show that it is his Christian worldview that enables his achievements. His life teaches us the lesson that examining philosophical base and historical background is crucial to understand mathematics or mathematicians, and that it is necessary to overcome given conditions and environments rather than expect better environments to reach meaningful achievements.

It is difficult to obtain high-resolution images by 3D gravity inversion, because the problem is extremely underdetermined - there are too many model parameters. In order to reduce the number of model parameters we propose a 3D gravity inversion scheme utilising Euler deconvolution as a priori information. The essential point of this scheme is the reduction of the nonuniqueness of solutions by restricting the inversion space with the help of Euler deconvolution. We carry out a systematic exploration of the growing body process, but only in the restricted space within a certain radius of the Euler solutions. We have tested our method with synthetic gravity data, and also applied it to a real dataset, to delineate underground cavities in a limestone area. We found that we obtained a more reasonable subsurface density image by means of this combination between the Euler solution and the inversion process.

오일러의 미분 방정식은 보조 방정식을 이용하면 쉽게 일반해를 구할 수 있다. 정의된 유사-오일러 미분 방정식을 풀기 위해 규정된 조건을 만족토록 하면 보조 방정식을 이용하여 일반해를 쉽게 구할 수 있음을 보였다.

본 논문에서는 광학 기기 전반에 사용되고 있는 비구면 렌즈(aspheric lens)의 모델링과 제작 및 검증에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 비구면 렌즈는 볼록렌즈, 오목렌즈와 달리 비구면을 사용함으로써, 사물의 원근에 관계없이 하나의 초점에 상을 맺을 수 있다. 그러나 이에 대한 모델링 정보는 공개되지 야고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 다음의 식을 오일러 법(Euler method)을 적용하여 비구면 렌즈의 기하학적 형상을 모델링하였다.(중략)

In this study, 1 investigated some properties on the special hyper-dimensional figures made by the principle of the performance of equivalent forms representation. I supposed 2 definitions on the making n-dimensional figure : a cone type(hypercube) and a pillar type(simplex). We can explain that there exists only 6 4-dimensional regular polytopes as there exists only 5 regular polygons. And there are many hyper-dimensional figures, they all have sufficient condition to show the general Euler' Characteristics. And especially, we could certificate that the simplest cone type and pillar types are fitted to Pascal's Triangle and Hasse's Diagram, each other.
