  • A realization for digital multimedia receiving system using Conditional Access System is presented in this paper. The key word for descrambling is make from smart card and Conditional Access System, a Stabilization is grow up in the method. It is possible to decoding that of average 15 fame/second of H.264 video format and that 24Khz${\sim}$48Khz audio sample rate using dual processor that of high performance DSP and RISC. This system is evaluated correct descrambling procedure in test stream added that signed user data.

  • In this paper, we deal with the research about a S/PDIF (Sony Philips Digital Interface) receiver which can operate without PLL (Phase Locked Loop) circuits. Although a S/PDIF receiver is used in most audio devices and audio processors in these days. yet there are only few domestic researches about S/PDIF. Currently used commercial DACs (Digital-to-Analog Converters) which can decode S/PDIF signals, have a PLL circuit inside them. The PLL makes it possible to extract clock information from S/PDIF digital signal and to synchronize a clock signal with input signals. But the PLL circuit makes many diffculties in designing the SOC (System On Chips) of VLSIs (Vew Large Scale Integrated Ciruits) because it is an "analog circuit". We proposed a S/PDIF receiver which doesn't have PLL circuits and only has Pure digital circuits. The key idea of the proposed S/PDIF receiver. is to use the ratio between a 16 MHz basic input clock and S/PDIF signals. After having decoded hundreds thousands S/PDIF inputs, it went to prove that a S/PDIF receiver can be designed with pure digital circuits and without any analog circuits such as PLL circuits. We have confidence that the proposed S/PDIF receiver can be used as an IP (Intellectual Property) for the SOC design of the digital circuits.

  • MPEG-4 표준은 저작자가 정지영상, 텍스트, 2D/3D 그래픽스, 오디오, 심지어 임의형의 비디오 등과 같이 다양한 형태의 객체들을 개별적으로 구성하고 이들을 시/공간자적으로 다루기 용이하게 해 준다. 이와 같은 객체 기반 코딩 특성에 의해서 대화형 방송 콘텐츠를 제작하는데 가장 유용한 방식으로 고려할 수 있다. 피러나, 콘텐츠의 제작, 전송, 소비 관전에서 고려해 달 때, 콘텐츠 제작자 또는 저작권자의 보호 및 관리가 필요하게 되었다. 이에 따라 최근에는 OPIMA (Open Platform Initiative for Multimedia Access), SDMI (Secure Digital Music Initiative) and MPEG(Moving Picture Expert Group) OPIMATfMr(Intellectual Property Management & Protection)와 같은 국제 표준 단체들이 콘텐츠 보호 및 관리에 대한 관심을 가지게 되었다. 특히, MPEG의 경우에 MPEG-4 IPMP를 표준화하여 디지털 콘텐츠와 저작권에 대한 보호를 체계적이고 효과적으로 다루는 연구를 가장 활발히 해오고 있다. 이 논문에서 우리는 MPEG-4 콘텐츠 저작자가 MPEG-4 규격에 맞게 보호화 된 객체 기반 방송용 콘텐츠를 쉽고 편리하게 제작학 수 있도록 하기 위한 MPEG씨 콘텐츠 및 저자권 보호를 위한 MPEG-4 IPMP 저작 도구를 제안하고자 한다. 제안한 MPEG-4 콘텐츠 및 저작권 보호 저작 도구는 저작자에게 친근한 사용자 인터페이스를 제공하여 편집 및 수정이 용이한 텍스트 포맷인 IPMP회된 XMT(extensible Mpeg-4 Textual format) 파일을 생성한다. 또한, 콘텐츠 전송 및 저장의 효율성을 위해 이진 포멧인 IPMP화된 MP4 파일을 생성할 수 있다.으로써, 에러 이미지가 가지고 있는 엔트로피에 좀 근접하게 코딩을 할 수 있게 되었다. 이 방법은 실제로 Arithmetic Coder를 이용하는 다른 압축 방법에 그리고 적용할 수 있다. 실험 결과 압축효율은 JPEG-LS보다 약 $5\%$의 압축 성능 개선이 있었으며, CALIC과는 대등한 압축률을 보이며, 부호화/복호화 속도는 CALIC보다 우수한 것으로 나타났다.우 $23.87\%$($18.00\~30.91\%$), 갑폭 $23.99\%$($17.82\~30.48\%$), 체중 $91.51\%$($58.86\~129.14\%$)이였으며 성장율은 사육 온도구간별 차는 없었다.20 km 까지의 지점들(지점 2에서 지점 6)에서 매우 높은 값을 보이며 이는 조석작용으로 해수와 담수가 강제혼합되면서 표층퇴적물이 재부유하기 때문이라고 판단된다. 영양염류는 월별로 다소의 차이는 있으나, 대체적으로 지점 1과 2에서 가장 낮고, 상류로 갈수록 점차 증가하며 지점 7 상류역이 하류역에 비해 높은 농도이다. 월별로는 7월에 규산염, 용존무기태질소 및 암모니아의 농도가 가장 높은 반면에 용존산소포화도는 가장 낮다. 그러나 지점 14 상류역에서는 5월에 측정한 용존무기태질소, 암모니아, 인산염 및 COD 값이 7월보다 다소 높거나 비슷하다. 한편 영양염류와 COD값은 대체적으로 8월에 가장 낮으나 용존산소포화도는 가장 높다.출조건은 $100^{\circ}C$에서 1분간의 고온단시간 추출이 적합하였다. 증가를 나타내었는데, 저장기간에 따른 물성의 변화는 숭어에 비하여 붕장어가 적었다.양식산은 aspartic acid 및 proline이 많았다. 또한 잉어는 천연산이

  • 모바일 오디오 적용을 위한 저전력 ${\Sigma}{\Delta}$ Modulator 에 대한 설계와 layout 을 보였다. 전체 구조는 3 차 단일 피드백 루프이며, 해상도는 16bit 을 갖는다. 샘플링 주파수에 따른 Over-sampling Ratio 는 128(46kHz) 또는 64(96kHz) 가 되도록 하였다. 차동 구조를 사용한 3 차 ${\Sigma}{\Delta}$ modulator 내의 적분기에 사용된 Op-Amp 는 DC-Gain 을 높이기 위해서 Gain-boosting 기법이 적용되었다. ${\Sigma}{\Delta}$ modulator 의 기준 전압은 전류 모드 Band-Gap Reference 회로에서 공급이 되며, PVT(Process, Voltage, Temperature) 변화에 따른 기준 전압의 편차를 보정하기 위하여, binary 3bit 으로 선택하도록 하였다. DAC 에서 사용되는 단위 커패시터의 mismatch 에 의한 성능 감소를 막기 위해, DAC 신호의 경로를 임의적으로 바꿔주는 scrambler 회로를 이용하였다. 4bit Quantizer 내부의 비교기 회로는 고해상도를 갖도록 설계하였고, 16bit thermometer code 에서 4bit binary code 변환시 발생하는 에러를 줄이기 위해 thermometer-to-gray, gray-to-binary 인코딩 방법을 적용하였다. 0.18um CMOS standard logic 공정 내 thick oxide transistor(3.3V supply) 공정을 이용하였다. 입력 전압 범위는 2.2Vp-p,diff. 이며, Typical process, 3.3V supply, 50' C 시뮬레이션 조건에서 2Vpp,diff. 20kHz sine wave 를 입력으로 할 때 SNR 110dB, THD 는 -95dB 이상의 성능을 보였고, 전류 소모는 6.67mA 이다. 또한 전체 layout 크기는 가로 1100um, 세로 840um 이다.

A New Tempo Feature Extraction Based on Modulation Spectrum Analysis for Music Information Retrieval Tasks

  • This paper proposes an effective tempo feature extraction method for music information retrieval. The tempo information is modeled by the narrow-band temporal modulation components, which are decomposed into a modulation spectrum via joint frequency analysis. In implementation, the tempo feature is directly extracted from the modified discrete cosine transform coefficients, which is the output of partial MP3(MPEG 1 Layer 3) decoder. Then, different features are extracted from the amplitudes of modulation spectrum and applied to different music information retrieval tasks. The logarithmic scale modulation frequency coefficients are employed in automatic music emotion classification and music genre classification. The classification precision in both systems is improved significantly. The bit vectors derived from adaptive modulation spectrum is used in audio fingerprinting task That is proved to be able to achieve high robustness in this application. The experimental results in these tasks validate the effectiveness of the proposed tempo feature.

Exploratory Approach of Social Gameplay Behavior Pattern : Case Study of World of Warcrafts (소셜 게임플레이 행동패턴의 탐색적 접근 : World of Warcrafts를 중심으로)

  • The objective of this research is to discover the rule of gameplay related to the task interdependence to analyse the behavior pattern of social gameplay. Previous literatures related to the gameplay were reviewed and game which was suitable for the gameplay of the task interdependence was selected. A party-play includes a team of five people in the experiment during the gameplay with think-aloud method and video/audio data about action protocol and verbal report were collected. The video observation and protocol analysis were conducted to analyse data. The objective coding scheme were developed from consolidated sequence model task analysis. The player's behavior was analysed. The result was revealed that four rules and four modified rules were included into the total eight behavior pattern. A behavior graph integrated with five gameplay was written. The excellent cooperative spot and error and failure place could be identified. The social gameplay behavior graph is expected to be the key practical design guideline on whether the level design and balance design are proper.

Design of Service Signaling Structure based on MMT for Terrestrial UHD Broadcasting Systems in Heterogeneous Network (이기종망 환경에서의 지상파 UHD 방송을 위한 MMT 기반 서비스 시그널링 구조 설계)

  • UHD(Ultra High Definition) Broadcasting is the focus of attention recent days. However, current broadcasting system faces with difficulty of bandwidth, encoding and so on. To solve this problem, MMT was suggested as the one of solutions. MMT is designed to be based on IP network and it has characteristics that can deliver multimedia through many networks at the same time. UHD Media service can be available with the current broadcasting system that divides media data into hierarchical data based on MMT. To provide this service, information about heterogeneous network should be delivered and signalling should be given to perceive it. For UHD media data service, the information about data from heterogeneous networks should be transported for providing presentation information and service for the receiver models. The present MMT signalling has not much information about heterogeneous services with hierarchical media data. In this paper, we suggest the design of service signaling structure based on MMT for UHD broadcasting systems.

A Study on Vocal Removal Scheme of SAOC Using Harmonic Information (하모닉 정보를 이용한 SAOC의 보컬 신호 제거 방법에 관한 연구)

  • Interactive audio service provide with audio generating and editing functionality according to user's preference. A spatial audio object coding (SAOC) scheme is audio coding technology that can support the interactive audio service with relatively low bit-rate. However, when the SAOC scheme remove the specific one object such as vocal object signal for Karaoke mode, the scheme support poor quality because the removed vocal object remain in the SAOC-decoded background music. Thus, we propose a new SAOC vocal harmonic extranction and elimination technique to improve the background music quality in the Karaoke service. Namely, utilizing the harmonic information of the vocal object, we removed the harmonics of the vocal object remaining in the background music. As harmonic parameters, we utilize the pitch, MVF(maximum voiced frequency), and harmonic amplitude. To evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme, we perform the objective and subjective evaluation. As our experimental results, we can confirm that the background music quality is improved by the proposed scheme comparing with the SAOC scheme.

Mutimedia Mail Authoring System Providing Message Integration (메시지 통합성을 제공하는 멀티미디어 메일 저작 시스템)

  • E-mail system has been widely used for information transmission. As multimedia technologies are developed, many Internet services support multimedia. E-mail system only transmits 7bit ASCII data using simple mail transfer protocol(SMTP) specified in RFC 821. E-mail system can't support the authoring and the transmission of multimedia data. In this study multimedia mail authoring system has been designed and implemented in order to provide message integration. Multimedia messages can be authored and transformed into text types with this system. Transformed messages are transmitted from sender's mail transfer agent (MTA) to receiver's MTA by means of SMTP. Messages can be authored in hypertext markup language (HTML) including text, image, audio and video. This system provides integrated messages which consist or various media. BASE64 Encoding method is used in order to transform multimedia messages into text types. Received mails are managed by multimedia user agent (MUA) which is proposed in this study. Convenience for user is improved in this system.
