본 연구는 대학 영어 교육에 다양한 멀티미디어를 활용함과 더불어, 온라인 학습관리시스템을 영어교육에 접목시킴으로써 상호 작용과 학습공동체 활동을 강조하는 다양한 기능들이 대학생들의 영어 학습태도와 결과에 어떠한 영향을 끼쳤는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 다양한 멀티미디어의 활용과 온라인 학습관리 시스템의 기능과 활동들을 통한 대학 영어수업이 학생들에게 영어수업에 대한 관심과 흥미를 높이고 보다 효과적으로 영어를 학습할 수 있는 경험을 제공해주었다고 할 수 있다.

이 연구는 자기조절학습전략 활용 과제기반언어학습을 영어수업에 적용한 후 학업성취도와 영어 학습태도 차원에서 그 효과성을 규명하고자 하였다. 먼저 학습자의 능동적인 학습과정을 도울 수 있는 자기조절학습전략 활용 과제기반언어 교수 학습 모형을 도출하였다. 이어서 초등영어 5학년 정규교육과정운영 틀에서 자기조절학습전략 활용 과제기반언어학습 수업을 설계하고 실제 적용하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 자기조절학습전략 활용 과제기반언어학습은 학업성취 상위, 중위, 하위 집단에 따른 학업성취도 변화에 대한 분석 결과 학업성취 상위집단과 하위집단 간에 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 자기조절학습전략 활용 과제기반언 어학습은 영어에 대한 자아개념, 영어에 대한 태도, 영어에 대한 학습 습관으로 정의된 영어 학습태도의 모든 영역에서 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 자기조절학습전략 활용 과제기반언어학습은 학습자 중심 교육이라는 초등영어교육 추세를 고려할 때 교육현장에 유용하므로 자기조절학습력과 실제적 의사소통능력에 초점을 둔 보다 다양한 교수설계 연구가 요청된다.

The purpose of this pilot study is to examine the responses of middle school students to English learning after conducting English writing activities using DALL-E2, an image-generating artificial intelligence tool. To this end, an experimental class was conducted for 3 weeks for 15 middle school English learners, and the results are summarized as follows. First, as a result of a survey on English writing activities using DALL-E2, it was found that confidence, interest, and awareness of writing using artificial intelligence-based tools changed positively. In addition, it was confirmed that there was a statistically significant difference, which meant that learning using artificial intelligence had a positive effect on English writing and overall English learning. Second, as a result of analyzing the English writing activities using DALL-E2, core themes could be extracted into three (cognitive, affective, and psychodynamic characteristics), and the use and implementation of artificial intelligence-based DALL-E2 in English learning showed potential to increase learning interest, challenge, will, and desire in learning and ultimately contribute to enhancing productive skill.

Maritime English is a specialized language system designed for ship operations, maritime safety, and external and internal communication onboard. According to the International Maritime Organization's (IMO) International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW), it is imperative that navigational officers engaged in international voyages have a thorough understanding of Maritime English including the use of Standard Marine Communication Phrases (SMCP). This study measured students' proficiency in Maritime English using a learning and testing platform that includes voice recognition, translation, and word entry tasks to evaluate the resulting improvement in Maritime English exam scores. Furthermore, the study aimed to investigate the level of platform use needed for cadets to qualify as junior navigators. The experiment began by examining the correlation between students' overall English skills and their proficiency in SMCP through an initial test, followed by the evaluation of improvements in their scores and changes in exam duration during the mid-term and final exams. The initial test revealed a significant dif erence in Maritime English test scores among groups based on individual factors, such as TOEIC scores and self-assessment of English ability, and both the mid-term and final tests confirmed substantial score improvements for the group using the platform. This study confirmed the efficacy of a learning platform that could be extensively applied in maritime education and potentially expanded beyond the scope of Maritime English education in the future.

According to international regulations, it is mandatory for navigators or engineers to acquire suitable skillsets before their designation as a duty officer on board. One of the most important elements is Maritime English (ME), wherein students are taught a required set of basic skills that enable them to process various documents related to accidents, ship conditions, and inspections. Students have to be equipped not only with the use of general English skills but also with the coherent use of technical terms and phrases. However, due to the unique circumstances that exist in the maritime domain, the methods used for imparting maritime knowledge and the manner in which it is evaluated are restricted. Hence, this study aims to utilize an online Maritime English learning and testing platform that can be accessed on smart devices to analyze its impact on the students' learning process. An experiment was conducted on two groups of cadets, one that used the platform and another group that did not. After six-week, the experiment results showed a significant difference between the ME test scores of the two groups. The test scores were further analyzed by incorporating the students' personal elements to measure the ef icacy of the ME test platform. Therefore, the learning and evaluation processes are expected to be implemented in ways that are appropriate and convenient to specific circumstances and be widely used in the field of maritime education in the future.

Recently, as use of chatting system is generalized, chatting system was utilized as an education tool that study English. Chatting system that do general chatting system and Hangul limitation chatting system is used for present English chatting. This chatting system is problem to use together with English and Hangul, or do not respond because done not know contents of word and so on. This Paper proposed EPUE chatting system that can heighten education effect of leading and writting in english supporting various function that do suitable control and guidance to English chatting user, that improve performance to use together with C/S and P2P.

본 연구에서는 EBS 영어방송 및 콘텐츠를 사용하는 교사, 일반인, 학부모, 초 중등 학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 EBSe의 활용 실태를 살펴보고, 그 결과를 바탕으로 영어교육 방송과 관련한 시사점을 도출하려고 한다. 총 2,488명의 응답자를 대상으로 다음의 질문에 대한 응답을 중심으로 본 연구를 진행하였다. 1. EBS 영어 방송 사용 계기 및 활용 방법은 어떠한가? 2. EBS 영어 방송 플랫폼 활용 형태와 기간 및 빈도는 어떠한가?

Web 2.0 환경은 지식을 일방적으로 전달하는 기존의 체제에서 벗어나 참여자들의 상호작용을 강화하여 다양한 교육적 지원을 가능하게 만들었다. 특히 다양한 멀티미디어 데이터베이스를 이용하여 스스로 학습 자료를 제작하고 공유하면서 다양한 상호작용이 가능하게 되었다. 이러한 Web 2.0 환경을 교육적으로 적용하려는 시도가 시작되고 있는 가운데 본 논문은 여러 교과 가운데서도 영어교과에 활용하는 방안을 알아보았다. 영어교과와 Web 2.0 환경이 부합하는 면을 살펴보고 기존의 멀티미디어 활용 영어교육의 장단점과 이를 극복하기 위한 Web 2.0 활용 영어교육 지도방안에 대하여 알아보았다. 그리고 영어교과에 활용할 수 있는 다양한 Web 2.0 도구들을 분류하여 이용방안을 모색하였다.

This study investigated high school students' perception of English extensive reading (ER) after introducing ER to general high school students in a metropolitan area. In addition, as the free semester system was expanded in high schools as well as middle schools, we developed a class model for English extensive reading. 91.4 percent of the students who participated in the study said that they wanted to try using the English extensive reading method. Also 35 high school students who experienced English extensive reading chose the 'Five Finger rule' and 'Graded Readers' Series' as the most helpful factors in their extensive reading experiences. In interviews with English teachers, teachers expressed their demand for the development of a model of English extensive reading suitable for free semesters in general high schools. This study proposes an English extensive reading class model utilizing library resources that can be used in the free semester system as well as a performance assessment-oriented English extensive reading class model.

This study aims to examine how the use of Padlet, an online platform, affects students' English writing anxiety and English writing strategy in online college English writing classes. A total of 64 college students participated in the study and completed the survey including English writing anxiety, English writing strategy and demographic information. For the study, we divided participants into 2 groups, experimental group using Padlet for their writing tasks and control group using college e-learning during a semester. The results showed that students using Padlet used more writing strategies than the students using college e-learning platform. The use of Padlet, however, was not statistically significant on writing anxiety. English writing anxiety was differed by English level, but decreased at the end of semester regardless of English level. The results imply that Padlet is a useful online learning tool for English learners to actively use English writing strategies and even for learners with low English writing proficiency.
