The Effect of Learning in American Culture on the Understanding using UCCs (UCC동영상 활용한 수업이 미국문화 이해도에 미치는 영향)

  • 본 연구에서는 UCC 동영상을 활용한 수업이 미국문화 이해도에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 이를 위해 7차 영어과 교육과정 목표를 참고하여 5학년 학생들 발달 단계에 맞는 미국문화 내용을 선정하고, 알맞은 UCC 동영상을 선별하여 UCC활용형 지식체험교수학습 모형을 개발하였다. 개발된 교수 학습과정안을 적용하여 초등학교 5학년을 실험집단과 통제집단으로 나누어 13차시 수업을 실시하였다. 실험 결과 UCC동영상을 활용하여 수업한 실험집단 평균 M=25.15(SD=3.02), 통제집단평균 M=24.09(SD=3.84)로서 실험집단이 통제집단보다 평균에서 더 높은 결과를 나타내었고, 이는 t=2.458(p=.017)로 p<.05 수준에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 UCC 동영상을 활용한 미국문화 교육이 기존의 수업 방법보다 초등학생들의 미국문화 이해도 향상에 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다

  • MPEG-I(Immersive) 그룹에서는 몰입형 미디어 영상처리 표준화의 일환으로 마이크로렌즈를 통한 다시점 영상 처리 기술인 Dense Light Field에 대한 성능 탐색을 진행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 MPEG-I에서 정의된 라이트 필드 시퀀스에 대해 versatile video codec(VVC)에 대한 압축 성능 분석을 시행하였으며, 또한 렌즈렛(Lenslet) 형태의 특정적인 이미지 정보를 효율적으로 압축하기 위한 스크린 콘텐츠 코딩 툴의 효율 비교를 진행하였다. 또한 렌즈렛 영상에서의 화면 내 블록 카피(intra block copy) 기법이 선택되는 비율을 확인하고, 화면 내 블록 카피 기법을 통해 렌즈렛 영상이 효율적으로 압축될 수 있음을 보였다.

Use and Perception of the Video Contents as Teaching Materials (교수학습 자료로서의 영상 콘텐츠 활용과 인식)

  • The education method using visual materials such as video contents is getting more attentions in the education field. This study researched how undergraduate students perceive the objective of education method utilizing video contents, what types of education using video contents they put a great importance on, and what kinds of correlations exist between the video contents method and the ability of discussing about a topic in essay-type examinations. With in-depth interviews with undergraduate students, the results showed that video contents was perceived as one of the attractive teaching methods increasing students' comprehension of lectures. Also, students evaluated that the video contents method could provide an opportunity to be exposed to the vivid scene of the journalistic environment and make them learn practical cases at second hand. Moreover, they perceived the video contents method as a very effective learning method improving their ability to discuss about a topic in essay-type exams.

  • This study examined the educational effects by song video self study of CPR and CPR VSI with middle school students who have no CPR education experience and aimed to provide basic materials for effective CPR education method with middle school students. The subjects of the research were total 68 middle school students of S middle school in G metropolitan city and they were selected by convenience sampling into 33 experimental group and 35 control group. The period of examination was from Apr. 22 to 23, 2009 and the data were collected for two days. As a result of the research, song video self learning of CPR with middle school students was not considered as achieving better results than video self learning. But, as its educational effects were confirmed, it will be available in education of CPR with middle school students.

  • With the wide spread use of multimedia device, the demand for the image processing engineers are increasing in various fields. However there are few engineers who can develop practical applications in the image processing area. To teach practical image processing techniques, we need a visual programming environment which can efficiently present the image processing theories and, at the same time, provide interactive experiments for the theory presented. In this paper, we propose a visual programming environment of the integrated environment for image processing. It consists of the theory presentation systems and experiment systems based on the visual programming environment. The theory presentation systems support multimedia data, web documents and powerpoint files. The proposed system provides an integrated environment for application development as well as education. The proposed system accumulates the teaching materials and exercise data and it manages, an ideal image processing education and research environment to students and instructors.

  • Today, art education needs education of media image production or media in the extended field. The purpose of this study is to develop the basic visual grammar and communication ability. We developed and applied the teaching plan for the interview video production as the fusion lesson. 3 classes were conducted for 30 middle school students. The results obtained through the analysis of the pre & post questions and student works are as follows. First, the students used the shot size and stable composition through the interview video production. As a result, this class was effective for the acquisition of the basic video grammar. Second, students improved their ability to ask and listen, understand and organize through interview. As a result, students were able to apply the basic video grammar through the interview video production lesson, effectively producing the interview image.

Analysis of the Users' Viewing Characteristics of YouTube Video Contents Related to Science Education (과학교육 관련 유튜브 동영상 콘텐츠 이용자들의 시청 특징 분석)

  • In this study, as the viewing characteristics of users of YouTube video content related to science education, 'Inflow and Access' is analyzed to find out the interaction between learners and the system, and 'Reaction and Subscription' to find out the interaction between learners and contents. To this end, the YouTube channel "Elementary Science TV," was selected as the subject of research. The channel is mainly focused on the contents of elementary science textbooks, STEAM, and gifted education. The channel's data of YouTube studio was analyzed. The following results were obtained through data analysis: first, as a result of 'Inflow and Access' analysis, YouTube video content related to science education was most often introduced through external links, and the access device was mainly a computer. Second, as a result of the analysis of 'Reaction and Subscription,' 'like' and commenting performed as a reaction to the video were less than 1% of the number of views. Most users watch without a subscription, and watch for longer when using self-directed. Although this study was analyzed through a limited channel called 'Elementary Science TV,' we were able to discover a little about the users' viewing characteristics of YouTube video contents related to science education. In the future, it is expected that it can be used as a basic material for creating videos related to science education for remote classes, establishing a science education video platform.

  • 참여, 공유, 개방으로 요약되는 Web 2.0 시대에는 이용자가 적극적으로 다양한 컨텐츠를 만들어가는 생산적인 역할을 하고 있다. 텍스트, 이미지, 소리, 동영상 등 다양한 형태의 UCC(User Created Contents)가 대량 생산되고 있으며, 특히 UCC 동영상은 UCC라는 용어의 등장과 함께 새로운 문화의 트랜드로 자리를 잡았다. 교육현장에서 UCC를 이용하여 많은 교육적 효과를 거두리라 기대는 할 수 있으나 동영상을 제작하기 위한 학습 시스템은 부족한 것이 현실이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 이용자가 UCC에 대한 이해를 높이고 촬영에서 편집, 업로드까지 한 자리에서 학습할 수 있는 시스템을 구축하여 보다 쉽게 UCC를 제작할 수 있도록 도움을 주고자 한다.

  • Currently, aircraft and automobile simulator for training provides a variety of training by making hypothetical situation on a simulator installed on the ground currently. And the instructor maximizes the effectiveness of the training by monitoring training and instructing the required training. When trainees are boarding the aircraft or automobile. The Instructor in the ground is not able to monitoring aircraft, automobile. The assessment of the training is not easy after the end of the training. Therefore, it is difficult to provide high quality of education to the students. In this paper, simulation system is to develop the following. Collecting GPS and real-time information for aircraft, automobile $\grave{a}$implementing 3D simulation. Implementing current image of the aircraft or automobile in the screen by 3D real-time monitoring of training situation at the control center utilizing for training saving 3D video files analysis, evaluation on training after the end of the training.

  • 학습자에게 학습의 자율성 및 유연한 학습활동 제공, 자기 주도적 학습환경 제공, 창의력 및 문제해결력 향상, 다양한 교수학습 활동 촉진, 교육의 장 확대를 위하여 범국가적인 차원에서 ICT교육을 실시하고 있다. ICT소양 교육에는 교사들에 대한 연수기회가 많고 멀티미디어 콘텐츠가 많이 개발되어 효과를 보고 있지만 ICT활용 교육은 다양한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠의 부족으로 교사들이 부담감을 가지고 있다. 이와 같은 문제점을 인식하여 ICT활용 교육에 바로 투입할 수 있는 2분 이내의 짧은 동영상 콘텐츠를 개발하고 이를 공개 CGI를 활용하여 VOD로 구현하였다. 아울러 10분 내외의 다큐멘터리 형식의 VOD로 방송학습이 이루어지도록 했으며, 동영상 콘텐츠 개발에 필요한 사전 지식 및 방송학습에 대한 올바른 인식을 갖게 하고자 텍스트 연수 자료도 함께 탑재하여 교실 수업 개선에 이바지하고자 하였다.
