The Origin of K orean Online Game Industry : Networks of 'Butterflies' (한국 온라인 게임 산업의 기원 : '나비들'의 네트워크)

  • This paper analyzes system builders and their human networks of the Korean online game industry. By the early 2000s, Korea became one of the major online gaming countries in the world. In this period, important factors included the existence of system builders and their solid human networks. The few innovators who assisted the breakthrough of the development of the online gaming industry formed a human network in universities and IT companies. They shared innovations in information and collectively learned the conventions of the industry. In their achievement, the human networks which had already fully formed in the late 1990s became more noticeable. This paper, with its historical approach, will complement the limits shown by existing researches that, in their effort to find the causes for the success of the Korean online game industry, focus rather narrowly on the conditions of the period during which online games were becoming popular.

  • Recently, retro music is popular in the domestic music industry. Even in the movie industry, remake or retro movies are made continuously. In this paper, we consider the reason of remake in the viewpoint of mathematics and show that there is a maximum number of lyrics, pictures, music, and movies that human can make due to the characteristics of digital contents. The time that human cannot make new lyrics, new pictures, new music, and new movies any more will be estimated. Therefore, artists will have difficulties to make new contents in the future, and human have to listen and see the previous lyrics, movies, music, or pictures in the future. This study will give a deep philosophical insight for contents industry.

CHANGES OE DIMETHYLAMINE (DMA) CONTENT IN FISH MUSCLE DURING HEAT PROCESSING (어육 열처리 가공중의 dimethylamine(DMA)의 변화)

  • Secondary amines are known as one of the precursors of nitrosamines which are potent carcinogenic compounds of man and animals. Nitrosamines are formed when both secondary amines and nitrite are present. The nitrites are occurred naturally in vegetables, fruits and many others, and frequently used in fish product as a color fixative or a preservative. In this paper, to know the formation of nitrosamines in fish meat, the changes of dimethylamine (DMA) content during the heat treatment such as drying, roasting and fish cake processing are discussed. The results showed that generally DMA increased considerably during heat processing. During drying, DMA in cuttle fish increased 16 times higher, while in Alaska pollack doubled than the fresh. In the roasted mackerel, the DMA content appeared 6 times higher than the fresh, while 9 times higher in canning. In fish cake from yellow corvenia, DMA increased 4 times higher than the fresh. On the contrary diethylamine and diphenylamine were not found in this experiment.

  • The basic approach to sewage sludge is organic waste minimization, promotion of energy recovery; volume and weight reduction by final treatment, and environmentally final disposal of natural circulation. Dry and pyrolysis of maize was experimentally investigated in full-scale rotary kiln in semi-continuous operation. The operational parameters varied are the operating temperature $160{\sim}175^{\circ}C$ of dry and $450{\sim}800^{\circ}C$ of pyrolysis, the solids residence time 9 min for pyrolysis. Important parameters studied include the running time, water content of sewage sludge, solids amount of sewage sludge(TS%) by the varied temperature. Also, with the increasing of temperature, how the yield of oil and char product change was observed, and the distribution of gas production components was observed. The gas of $C_1{\sim}C_3$ yield increased and oil of $C_4{\sim}C_6$ yield decreased along with pyrolysis temperature of $670^{\circ}C$ by the run time of 9 min.

  • This research attempts to analyse the 'Gangnam style' which has achieved worldwide recognition and became the first YouTube video to reach a billion views on December 2012, since it has released on 15th of July, 2012. Why 'Gangnam style' is so popular and how Cy's music video has spread across the world remarkably in very short period of time? It is suggested that the 'Gangsnam style' phenomenon can be explained by 'Kirtsch' and 'Meme', however there is no pertinent analysis in an academic way. In this respect, this research is concerned with addressing the 'Gangnam style', global cultural phenomenon, by the Kitsch related to the acceptance of global audience and the Meme engaged with global diffusion of music video in a cultural view. Therefore, this research reviews a broad range of literatures and seeks characteristics of two theories, on the ground of this, 'Gangnam style' will be investigated to verify the reason caused cultural phenomenon.

Changes of Carotenoids of the Pumpkin Powder during Storage (저장중 호박분말의 카로테노이드 색소 변화)

  • As a fundamental research for the development of pumpkin products, the changes of carotenoids were investigated in hot air dried pumpkin powder packed in PE/nylon film during storage at 2$0^{\circ}C$ under the dark and bright conditions. Total amounts of carotenoids in the dehydrated pumpkin powder were reduced by 65~70 percentage without effect of light after one month. The carotenoids of pumpkin powder were separated to five spots without effect of light by TLC, but difference of color was not significant throughout the storage period. By the analysis of HPLC, leutin, under bright condition, was increased from 15 days of storage but under dark condition it was not changed for one month. Meanwhile, p-carotene, under bright condition, was decreased from 15 days of storage but under drak condition it was decreased from 25 days. The contents of lycopene and $\alpha$ -carotene did not show any significant change throughout the storage period. In color analysis, yellowness value was de- creased in bright as well as dark condition from 10 day storage.

  • Mado shipwreck No.1 is where a total of 57 bamboo slips were discovered. Bamboo slips first excavated in the sea. It treated low concentration PEG vacuum freeze drying treatment refer to the method that research finding consolidation about waterlogged bamboo before. PEG 2000 and PEG 4000 used to consolidation materials but some bamboo slips that treated PEG 4000 surface color have been darken using heat gun at surface treatment. So the residual PEG on object's surface was remove steam iron. Bonding used to put 100% PEG 2000 the rayon paper in the surface for stabilization and giving a strength.

주석 전기도금과 열압착본딩을 이용한 Bi2Te3계 열전모듈의 제작

  • 열전재료는 열에너지를 전기에너지로 또는 전기에너지를 열에너지로 직접 변환하는데 가장 널리 사용되는 재료이다. $Bi_2Te_3$계 열전 재료는 400K 이하의 비교적 저온 영역에서 높은 성능지수(Dimensionless Figure of merit, ZT($={\alpha}2{\sigma}T/{\kappa}$, ${\alpha}$: 제백계수, ${\sigma}$: 전기전도도, T: 절대온도, ${\kappa}$: 열전도도))를 나타내는 열전재료이며 자동차 시트나 정수기 등에 응용되고 있다. 열전모듈은 제조시 수십 개에서 수백 개 이상의 n형 및 p형 열전소자를 알루미나($Al_2O_3$)와 같은 세라믹 기판(substrate) 상에 접합된 동 전극 위에 전기적으로 서로 직렬로 접합시켜 제조한다. 기존의 열전모듈의 제조방법에는 동 전극 위에 위에 Sn합금 분말과 플럭스(flux)의 혼합물인 솔더페이스트를 스크린 인쇄법을 사용하여 동 전극에 도포한 다음, 그 위에 열전소자를 얹고 약 520K의 열풍을 가하여 솔더를 용융시켜 열전소자와 동 전극을 접합시킨다. 스크린 인쇄법에서는 인쇄 압력이 일정하지 않으면, 솔더페이스트 층의 두께가 균일하지 않게 되어 열전소자 접합부의 불량을 유발시킨다. 그러나 열모듈은 단 하나의 접합 불량이 모듈 전체의 열전변환성능에 심각한 영향을 줄 수 있기 때문에 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해, 솔더페이스트를 도포하지 않고 열전소자를 직접 동 전극과 접합할 수 있는 방법을 고안하였다. 무전해도금을 이용한 니켈층을 형성시킨 $Bi_2Te_3$계 열전소자 표면에 약 $50{\mu}m$의 주석도금층을 전기도금법을 구사하여 형성시켰다. 그 후, wire cutting을 통하여 $3mm{\times}3mm{\times}3mm$의 크기로 절단한 주석도금된 열전소자를 동 전극에 얹고 1.1KPa의 압력을 가하면서 523K의 핫플레이트 위에서 3분간 방치하여 직접(direct) 열압착 접합을 실시하였다. 접합부의 단면을 SEM을 이용하여 관찰한 결과, 동 전극과 열전소자 사이의 계면에 용융 후 응고된 주석층이 결함없이 균일하게 형성된 양호한 접합부를 관찰할 수 있었다. 따라서, 솔더페이스트를 이용하지 않고, 열전소자 표면에 주석도금을 실시한 후, 동 전극과 직접 열압착 본딩을 실시하는 방법은 균일한 접합계면을 얻을 수 있는 새로운 공정으로 기대된다.

A Study of the Design Improvement Measure for the Globalization of Domestic Online Shopping Malls (국내 온라인 쇼핑몰의 글로벌화를 위한 디자인 개선방안 연구)

  • Starting the popularity of Korean dramas exported to China in 1996, the Korean wave started around the world market. Afterwards, as the Korean culture itself as well as dramas rapidly emerged as contents of the Korean market, the foreign direct sale consumers who want to buy Korean goods directly online are increasing at an alarming rate. This study each selected 4 domestic shopping malls and 4 foreign famous shopping malls which were conducting a global marketing currently and compared/researched them in the design aspect in order to apprehend if domestic online shopping malls were properly meeting the consumer environment of the foreign market. As a result, it was revealed that domestic online shopping malls conducting the global marketing could not fully understand the internet environment by countries and were going through a limit of the information delivery by SMS, and could not use the visual signs actively which were useful to the meaning delivery. Accordingly, this thesis suggested a plan to actively utilize the variable element considering various screens to the design, plan to efficiently design the text for solving the language problem by countries, and plan to design using the developing IT technology as a solution to those problems.

Development of a Prototype Continuous Flow Dryer using For Infrared Ray and Heated -air for White Ginseng (열풍과 원적외선 겸용 연속식 백삼 건조기의 개발)

  • This study was performed to develop a prototype continuous flow ginseng dryer with which better product quality and lower drying energy consumption could be achieved compared with conventional ginseng dryers. A dryer having both far infrared ray (IR) and heated-air as the drying energy sources was designed and fabricated . Dryer performance was studied by examining energy efficiencies and dryer performance evaluation indices (DPEI) during the drying tests of medium-sized four year ginseng roots with IR radiating plate temperature and drying air temperature in the range of 80-12$0^{\circ}C$ and 22-5$0^{\circ}C$, respectively. The DPEI of IR /heated -air combined drying was 1/3 of that of the conventional heated-air drying when ginseng were dried to the same final moisture ratio. When ginsengs were dried for 12 hours in the prototype IR/heated-air combination dryer, a linear relationship was found to exist between final moisture ratio and ginseng temperature. As the drying progressed, drying air temperature inside the dryer was nearly constant but ginseng temperature was drastically increased during the first two hours and gradually increased thereafter until the end of drying. With the prototype Ir/heated-air combination dryer, the drying rate changed little but the energy efficiency increased proportionally when the amount of ginseng to be dried increased. Drying capacity, energy efficiency, and DPEI of the prototype IR/heated-air combination ginseng dryer were estimated to 1.500 roots, 65% and 3.800kJ/kg-water , respectively.
