This paper offers a method to measure the distribution of niches of two types of social organizations. Internet sites and voluntary organizations. based on the socio-demographic characteristics of their members. It examines the niches of Internet sites based on age and education of site visitors and those of voluntary organizations based on age. education. and occupational prestige of their members. The method to measure organizational niches makes it possible not only to understand the niche width of organizations but also to examine the extent to which organizations .potentially compete and coexist. This leads to a method to recognize the way organizational environments influence the performance of individual organizations ecologically. To conclude, this paper shows that organizations are socially embedded through a process of pariticipation in which individual members choose their organizations not randomly. but based on their socIoifemographiccharacteristics.
The main purpose of this study is to establish fundamental data for the development of processed food using mealworm after examination of preferences and purchased intention according to two types of cooking methods (saute and oven) and three shapes (original, chapping, and powder) of cooked mealworm. In particular, this study aims to facilitate the establishment of target market strategies about edible insects bringing food neophobia. The results show that males' and older persons' preferences and purchases intention were higher than those of female and younger people. The group having high health involvement and low food neophobia had higher preferences and purchase intentions than the group having low health involvement and high food neophobia. In addition, customers had highest preferences and purchase intention with powdered mealworm regardless of cooking methods and customers' characteristics. These research findings provide food developer with meaningful data for market targeting.
Using a Consensus Qualitative Research approach, this study aimed to identify the ageism and explore age-integration as a solution of age discrimination that occurs during the delivery of medical services by nine healthcare professionals who have experience in treating elderly patients. There were two-sided confession has shown by health care professionals about the Ageism. They reported that they don't discriminate by age. However, They also appealed an inconvenience due to the elderly. There were real Ageism in the Healthcare Professional site as a way of Unsuitable care, elderly alienation and dependence on caregivers, polarization of medical service and double discrimination against poor elderly. They found it difficult to offer age integrated health care as a means to mitigate or solve. However they have sought to break barriers to communication, provided a comfortable environment not only for senior citizens but also for all others, and have diversified institutional and service standards. To ensure the healthy life and proper medical service of the rapidly increasing elderly patients, we proposed to do critical review of the factors in the Korean medical system that accelerate the Ageism, reorganization of the health care system for the poor elderly, including the curriculum associated with age-integrating within the health care professional education system, raising the Geriatric Medical Service and the relating professionals and improvements in perception of the health care domains for the elderly and older adults.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to examine associations between marital status and vegetable intake. Methods: Data were from participants 30 years and over (n = 18,190) in the 2007~2010 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. Marital status was divided into three groups: married, never married, and separated/divorced/widowed. Vegetable intake was estimated from the twenty-four hour dietary recall. Data were analyzed using a chi-square test, analysis of covariance, least squares means, and logistic regression. Results: Married respondents tend to consume more vegetables, including kimchi, than all other marital status groups. Vegetable intake, excluding kimchi, was lowest among 30~64 year-old respondents who had never married. Elderly men (65 years and older) who were never married/separated/divorced/ widowed had significantly lower vegetable intake than elderly men who were married (p = 0.0008). When considering the Korean dietary reference intake (KDRIs), elderly men who were never married/separated/divorced/widowed, compared with elderly men who were married, had a significantly higher odds ratio for consuming fewer vegetables than the KDRIs (OR = 1.64, 95% CI: 1.13~2.37). Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate that marital status might influence vegetable intake and the probability of consuming fewer vegetables than the KDRIs. In particular, being never married/separated/divorced/ widowed might adversely affect vegetable consumption among elderly men, although assessing the causal effect of marital status from this cross-sectional study is difficult.

This study was conducted to investigate the communicative intent between Reactive Attachment Disorder(RAD) and Developmental Language Disorder(DLD). The subject of this study were 20 27-51 monthold children(10 RAD Children, 10 DLD children) functioning at similar stage of language development. The communicative intent was investigated vertical and horizontal dimension. Rating of vertical communicative intent was based on the assessment scales devised by Wetherby and Prutting(1984). Horizontal dimension was measured by the assessment guidelines of Wetherby and Prizant(1989). All the data were rated by two rators independantly. 1) In communicative intent, vertical development level of DLD children was more sophiscated than that of RAD children. 2) DLD children expressed more horizontal communicative intent than RAD children. The percentage of the three major categories(behavioral regulation, social interaction, and joint attention) of communicative intent in DLD children was lined up social interaction>joint attention>behavioral regulation. On the contrary, RAD children displayed in order of behavioral regulation>social interaction>joint attention. In addition, DLD children showed diversely as compared with RAD children.

This study intended to investigate the effects of the subtitle location on the decreased working memory abilities caused by aging. A junior group (average age: 26, SD: 3.06, N=27) and a senior group (average age: 61.69, SD=4.18, N=26) participated in this study and they all performed N-back tasks which measured the working memory ability of the participants and video subtitle recognition tasks that assessed the most effectively recognized subtitle locations in the video. The results of the N-back task revealed slower response times and low accuracy rates in the senior group in comparison to the junior group, suggesting lower working memory abilities in the senior group vis-à-vis the junior group. The deterioration of working memory due to aging also negatively influenced the 'left-bottom' subtitle location in the video subtitle recognition task and positively influenced the 'left-center' location of the screen. The deterioration of working memory ability did not affect other subtitle locations. By examining the positive or negative effects of the deterioration of working memory ability as a function of age on subtitle locations, the present study suggests that the selection of suitable subtitle locations taking into account the ages of video viewers would cause information to be more effectively displayed on screen.

Nowadays, many people have much interest in health and quality of life. They can get information on foods known to have remedial value for certain illness from many healthcare experts on TV health related shows. Moreover, a lot of studies on these foods and their remedial value are consistently published. Thus, this study, on the ground that if we know prognosis of a certain disease in advance we can lead a better life without suffering from diseases, statistically analyzes specific students' responses to sub-health questionnaire. The analysis reveals that results of testing the equality of gender and 10 diagnosis indexes shows significant difference within 5% of significance level in 9 diagnosis indexes except for respiratory system. And the result of testing the equality of age and 10 diagnosis indexes indicates that there is no significant difference within 5% of significance level. In the study, students are divided into two age category. However, the age of 20s could be regarded as one category, which could be the reason why there is no significant difference.
