차세대 IP망 기술로서 각광받고 있는 MPLS에 대한 표준화는 IETF를 중심으로 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 서로 다른 기술적 접근을 하고 있는 MPLS 망들의 상호 연동에 대한 표준화는 아직까지 숙제로만 남아 있다. 본 고에서는 MPLS 망들의 연동에 관한 프레임워크를 제시한다. 상호 연동 구조를 세 가지로 제시한 후 각 구조의 특징과 장단점을 분석한다. 세 가지 구조는 망들을 통과하는 LSP의 성격에 의해서 서로 구분된다. 첫째는 망들을 통과하는 LSP가 없는 구조이고, 둘째는 LSP가 있으나 연동을 위한 스테킹이 없는 구조이고, 셋째는 LSP가 있고 연동을 위한 스테킹이 있는 구조이다. 한편 최선형 서비스와 품질 보장형 서비스와 VPN (Virtual Private Network) 서비스를 위한 망들의 협약사항을 제시함으로써 이러한 연동 구조들의 기능 요구사항을 정리한다. 세 가지 구조는 각기 장단점을 가지고 있고 서비스의 종류에 따라 적합성이 다르다. 그럼에도 불구하고 연동을 위한 스테킹이 있는 구조가 확장성의 측면이나 전송시간의 측면에서 기술적 우위를 일반적으로 가진다. 그러나 MPLS의 표준화가 완성되지 않는 현 상황에서는 LSP가 없는 구조가 현실적으로 적용 가능하다.

향후 다양한 무선/이동 액세스 네트워크가 서로 연동하여 동작하는 환경에서 무선자원을 효율적으로 이용하고 사업자 및 사용자의 요구사항을 만족시킬 수 있는 이동/무선 네트워크를 위한 연동구조가 요구된다. 이에 본 고에서는 IEEEP1900.4및 IEEE 802.21에서 제시하는 표준기술을 이용하여 Smart Radio 시스템의 구조 및 Universal Access를 위한 Framework를 제안하고 동작 시나리오 및 기능 모듈간의 연동절차를 제시한다. 또, 제안된 시스템구조 및 Framework의 기능 및 성능을 분석하기 위해서 시스템수준 시뮬레이터를 설계/구현에 대해서 기술한다. 성능분석의 결과, 제안한 시스템 연동구조 및 Framework를 이용할 경우, 이동단말은 액세스 네트워크의 통신환경을 자율적으로 인지할 수 있었으며 무선자원을 효율적으로 이용할 수 있었다.

분산 환경 시스템에서 현재 많은 응용프로그램들이 개발되고 있고, 사용자들은 서로 다른 환경에서 동일한 서비스를 제공받기를 원하고 있다. 그리고 사용자들은 인터넷을 활용한 정보공유와 경제활동에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 분산 객체 패러다임중 하나인 CORBA와 새로운 웹 표준으로 자리잡고 있는 XML의 연동은 사용자들의 요구에 따라서 현재 많은 연구들이 이루어지고 있다. 본 고에서는 현재 CORBA와 XML의 연동에 관해 현재까지의 연구에 대해 알아보고, 본 논문에서 새로운 CORBA와 XML의 연동구조를 제안한다. 이 구조의 특징은 모든 OS 플랫폼에 독립적이고, 모든 웹 어플리케이션들과 데이터교환을 할 수 있다.

MSF(MultiService Switching Forum) 개념이 도입된 개방형 시스템 구조를 적용한 고성능 스위칭 시스템 개발이 필요하며, Media Gateway System은 ATM망에서 중저속의 Non-ATM 인터페이스를 수용하는 ATM access multiplexer/concentrator로서 ATM 물리계층 기능, ATM 계층 기능, 회선대행 기능, AAL2 trunking 기능, N-ISDN 연동 기능 및 FR/ATM 연동기능을 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 Media Gateway System에 FR/ATM 연동 기능을 구현하기 위하여 적용할 연동 규격을 살펴보고 FR/ATM 연동시스템 구조를 제안하였다.

Next-generation mobile communication systems evolve in the form of high speed data transmission along with integration of wired-wireless network. Therefore, it needs researches on integrating service to heterogeneous networks to offer high speed data transmission and various services while supporting user mobility. In existing studies, heterogeneous networks are linked to single core network separatively, Since vertical handoff between heterogeneous networks leads to some delay, packets may be lost during vertical handoff. To solve this problem, this paper proposes an hierarchically integrated network architecture considering the characteristics of CDMA2000, WiBro, and WLAN. The hierarchically integrated networks are overlaid according to coverage of each network. Therefore, the proposed architecture can minimize handoff delay and packet loss. In addition, this paper proposes an integrated framework for next generation mobile communication networks.

전자의무기록(EMR)[1]을 도입한 이후 현재 의료장비의 EMR 연동상황이 극히 미비한 상태로 대두되고 있다. 종합병원 의료장비의 약 30%정도는 검사 결과물이 출력이 안되고 보여지기만 하는 구조로 되어 있어 직접 수기로 EMR 에 연동할 수 있는 소프트웨어에 입력하여 EMR 에 연동하고 있으며, 약 60%는 의료장비에서 프린터 혹은 시리얼통신으로 데이터를 출력할 수 있는 구조로 되어있다. 하지만 의료장비의 노후화 및 검사결과물의 인터페이스 특성이 다양하기 때문에 쉽게 연동하지 못하고 있으며, 대부분 종이 출력 결과물을 스캔을 통해 이미지를 저장하거나 받아서 EMR 에 연동하고 있다. 그 외 나머지 10%는 의료장비 자체의 저장장치 또는 네트워크를 통해 검사결과 데이터를 EMR 에 전송하는 구조로[2] 되어있다. 본 논문에서는 의료장비의 프린터를 통한 결과물을 EMR 에 연동하기 위한 인터페이스 솔루션을 구현하고, 검사결과의 출력 데이터를 이미지 복원 및 관리하는 방법을 통해 많은 수의 의료장비의 출력 데이터를 EMR 연동을 하여 인력 및 기타 사무용품의 소모를 줄이며, 검사결과를 실시간 진단할 수 있는 방법을 제시한다.

본 논문에서는 국제 전기통신 연합(ITU-R)에서 정의한 4G IMT-Advanced 시스템의 후보 기술로 거론되고 있는 WiMAX와 LTE 이동 통신 기술에 대한 개요와 특징 비교, 그리고 두 망간의 연동 구조에 대해 소개한다. 구체적으로 다음과 같은 내용 등을 기술한다. 첫째, 기존 2G/3G 망과 대별 되는 이들 기술의 발전 과정과 표준 및 기술 동향을 살펴본다. 둘째, 망 구조 및 구성 요소에 대한 분석을 통해 4G 기술로 언급되는 이들 망의 핵심 특징과 유사성 및 차이점을 분석한다. 마지막으로, 두 망의 연동 시나리오를 고려하고 WiMAX-Anchored 연동 구조와 LTE-Anchored 연동 구조에 대해 논의한다.

With the advances in wireless communication technologies, mobile users require to get seamless services anywhere and anytime. To relize these demands, network interworking and vertical handover are necessary between heterogeneous wireless access technologies with multi-interface mobile station. A lot of organizations are doing research on the network integration schemes based on loosely and tightly integrated architectures, and research on vertical handover schemes mainly based on Mobile IP in loosely integrated environments. But actually, the tightly integrated scheme can support more faster vertical handover because heterogeneous access networks are combined tightly. However, vertical handover schemes in tightly integrated environments are conceptually proposed without any detail signaling procedures. Therefore, this paper defines a tightly integrated architecture between UMTS and WLAN, and proposes a soft vertical handover signaling procedure. The proposed soft vertical handover scheme is evaluated by the OPNET simulator, and we confirm the proposed scheme can support seamless services.

인터넷상의 안전한 전자상거래에 효과적인 인증/인가 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 공개키기반구조와 권한관리기반구조의 효율적인 연동이 필요하며 이를 위해서는 먼저 공개키 인중서와 속성인증서의 연동이 필요하다. 그러나 현재까지는 공개키 인중서와 속성인중서의 프로파일에 대한 독자적인 연구만 진행되고 상호간의 구체적인 연동방법 및 시나리오에 대하여 기술하고 있지는 않다.[6],[7] 따라서 본 논문에서는 공개키 인증서와 속성인증서의 연동 방법의 요구사항을 정의하고 설계와 모델을 보임으로써 효과적인 인증/인가 서비스 제공 모델의 가능성을 제시한다.
