A Study on the Effective Approaches to Big Data Planning (효과적인 빅데이터분석 기획 접근법에 대한 융합적 고찰)

  • Big data analysis is a means of organizational problem solving. For an effective problem solving, approaches to problem solving should take into account the factors such as characteristics of problem, types and availability of data, data analytic capability, and technical capability. In this article we propose three approaches: logical top-down, data driven bottom-up, and prototyping for overcoming undefined problem circumstances. In particular we look into the relationship of creative problem solving with the bottom-up approach. Based on the organizational data governance and data analytic capability, we also derive strategic issues concerning the sourcing of big data analysis.

Analysis of the Feasibility and Reliability of Models Measuring National Innovative Capability: with a Focus on the IUS of the EU (국가혁신역량 측정모형의 신뢰성과 타당성 분석: 유럽연합의 IUS를 중심으로)

  • National Innovative Capability (NIC) is an important decisive factor where economic growth is concerned. As such, it is very important to measure and manage NIC. The composite index approach is one of the widely used approaches to measuring NIC, but there have been insufficient reviews of its feasibility and reliability. This paper conducted an analysis of the feasibility and reliability of the report on the last three years (i.e. 2011 through 2013) of the Innovation Union Scoreboard (IUS) of the EU, which is the most representative means of measuring NIC. It turned out that its reliability meets the recommended criteria as a result of Chronbach's alpha-based test of the models of IUS-related composite index. However, neither the absolute fit index nor the incremental fit index was found to meet the recommended criteria in a construct validity analysis. It also turned out that predictive validity is very low as a result of panel linear regression analysis of sectors and items of IUS-related composite index. This paper presents a number of considerations to be made when measuring national innovative capability using the composite index approach, as well as major policy suggestions based on the results of the analysis.

An Exploratory Study on The Pre-service Teachers' Perception of Education Paradigm in The Fourth Industrial Revolution Era (4차 산업혁명 시대 사범대학 예비교사의 교육패러다임 인식에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the pre-service teachers' perception for education paradigm and teacher's teaching competency in the fourth industrial revolution era. For this study 53 pre-service teachers participated in the discussion instruction during one semester. The study result was to analyze the discussion reports of pre-service students using the grounded theory approach. As a result, the pre-service students responded that the school needs to change the learner-centered education and assessment method in the fourth industrial revolution era. Secondly, the result of the teachers' teaching competencies was the integrated curriculum reconstruction, information processing, empathy and understanding, creative teaching and instructional design, collaboration and communication. This study is expected to contribute to the change of education paradigm for pre-service teachers in the fourth industrial revolution era.

A Comparison of Manufacturing Firms and Service Firms Using a Marketing Performance Evaluation Model (마케팅성과모델을 이용한 제조기업과 서비스기업의 비교)

  • 본 연구는 마케팅성과에 대한 Kotler의 접근법을 원용하여 한국의 대표적인 제조기업과 서비스 기업들의 마케팅 성과에 영향을 주는 요인들을 발견하고 경영 시사점을 제시하기 위한 모델을 개발하였다. 제조 분야에서 10개 기업, 서비스 분야에서 9개 기업을 각각 선정하여 전체 19개 기업의 마케팅 성과의 수준을 평가해 보았다. 확인요인분석 결과 제조기업의 마케팅 성과요인으로는 마케팅 인력, 마케팅 조직, 마케팅 전략이 추출되었고 서비스기업의 요인으로는 마케팅 인력, 마케팅 정보, 고객지향성, 마케팅 전략이 추출되었다. 5개의 마케팅성과요인과 제품력, 유통력, 판촉력, 가격력으로 구성된 마케팅역량, 그리고 고객만족 간의 관계를 규명할 목적으로 구조방정식모형을 구축하고 관계들에 관한 가설들을 검증하였다. 요인분석결과 제조기업은 마케팅인력, 마케팅 조직, 마케팅 전략의 세 요인이 유의한 요인으로 나타났으나, 서비스 기업에서는 마케팅 인력, 마케팅 정보, 고객지향성, 마케팅 전략의 4요인이 유의하게 나타났다. 각 요인의 평균치 분석결과, 서비스기업이 제조기업에 비해 마케팅성과 영향요인, 마케팅역량과 고객만족에서 모두 우세하게 나타났다.

Identifying Antecedents of Service Innovation: Based on Service-Dominant Logic and Resource-Advantage Theory (서비스 혁신의 선행요인에 관한 연구: 서비스 지배적 논리와 자원 우위 이론을 중심으로)

  • Service innovation is one means of gaining an advantage in a highly competitive environment. Although numerous studies have stressed the importance of service innovation, traditional good-dominant logic is still used in service innovation literature. Furthermore, few studies have been conducted on the link between service innovation and its antecedents in terms of service-oriented approach. To fill the gap, this article theoretically and empirically examines service innovation and its antecedents and consequences. Based on service-dominant logic and resource advantage theory, the current study aims to understand the effect of antecedents on service innovation as well as to identify the effect of service innovation on firm performance (i.e., non-financial and financial performance). Three service innovation activities, namely service creation-focused innovation, service delivery-focused innovation, and customer interaction-focused innovation, and four antecedents of service innovation, including human resource management capability, collaboration capability, marketing capability, and information technology capability, are identified based on Den Hertog (2000)'s service innovation framework. By using the empirical data collected from 189 service firms in Korea, this study explores the causal relationship among antecedents, service innovation and firm performance. Findings indicate that human resource management and marketing capabilities influence the three types of service innovation, whereas collaboration and information technology capabilities have a significant effect on both service creation-focused innovation and service delivery-focused innovation. In particular, human resource management capability is strongly related to customer interaction-focused innovation. The three types of service innovation have a positive influence on non-financial performance, whereas service delivery-focused innovation and customer interaction-focused innovation positively influence financial performance. These results support the crucial effects of antecedents, such as human resource management, collaboration, marketing and information technology capabilities, on service innovation.

Research Trends and Future Direction for Sustainable Agricultural and Forest Management (지속가능한 영농·영림을 위한 국내외 연구동향 및 향방)

  • Domestic agricultural and forest management suffers disturbances arising from rapid economic, social and environmental changes including climate change. Sustainable management has emerged as a key to overcoming these challenges. From the domestic and international viewpoint, we have identified mainly three (i.e. indicator, accounting, and ecological) approaches to sustainable management of agricultural and forest ecosystems. Compared to persistent investment in indicator and accounting approaches, we find the paucity of the domestic efforts in ecological approach. The latter approach can be facilitated based on the long-term meteorological and flux data including the ecosystem-level energy, matter and information flows, which have been monitored and managed by Korea Meteorological Administration, Rural Development Administration and Korea Forest Service. In order to keep up with vigorous international efforts toward sustainable ecosystem management, more interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary collaborations among diverse domestic sectors and institutes are essential.

Exploring the Prediction of Timely Stocking in Purchasing Process Using Process Mining and Deep Learning (프로세스 마이닝과 딥러닝을 활용한 구매 프로세스의 적기 입고 예측에 관한 연구)

  • Applying predictive analytics to enterprise processes is an effective way to reduce operation costs and enhance productivity. Accordingly, the ability to predict business processes and performance indicators are regarded as a core capability. Recently, several works have predicted processes using deep learning in the form of recurrent neural networks (RNN). In particular, the approach of predicting the next step of activity using static or dynamic RNN has excellent results. However, few studies have given attention to applying deep learning in the form of dynamic RNN to predictions of process performance indicators. To fill this knowledge gap, the study developed an approach to using process mining and dynamic RNN. By utilizing actual data from a large domestic company, it has applied the suggested approach in estimating timely stocking in purchasing process, which is an important indicator of the process. The analytic methods and results of this study were presented and some implications and limitations are also discussed.

'Part' vs. 'Whole': Comparison between the Socially Underprivileged and the Whole Population in Terms of Inter-regional Disparities in Quality of Life ('부분' 대 '전체' - 사회적 약자와 전체 인구의 삶의 질 지역 격차의 비교 -)

  • This study aims to compare the differences between the socially underprivileged and the population as a whole in terms of the quality of life gap between the Seoul metropolitan and non-capital regions based on the capabilities approach. To this end, we selected indicators that can measure nine dimensions of capabilities, such as income, housing, health, and social relations, calculated indicator values for the socially underprivileged and the whole population, and standardized them. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test and the SUR model were used for comparative analysis. The results show that there are significant differences in the disparities between the Seoul metropolitan and non-capital regions between the socially underprivileged and the entire population, and the differences are generally consistent in the most unfavorable direction for the socially underprivileged in the non-capital regions. In addition, the gap between the Seoul metropolitan and non-capital regions is not large from the point of view of the total population average, but the inter-regional gap is still significant from the viewpoint of the socially underprivileged. These results show the limitations of 'average' regional policies based on an analysis of the average of the total population, and the study is significant to illustrate the ecological errors that may arise in regional problem analysis.

재창업의 성공 요인 : 지식, 인지심리, 감정

  • 계속 높아지는 기업가정신과 창업의도에도 불구하고 2017년 OECD 보고서에 따르면 한국은 실패에 대한 두려움이 높은 국가로 전체 7위롤 기록했다. 실패 후 신용 불량으로 인한 재기 불가능에 대한 인식이 여전히 팽배해 창업을 저해하는 요인으로 아직까지 큰 비중을 차지하고 있다. 그러므로 실패에 대해 관용적인 문화와 실패를 통한 학습 독려, 실패 기업인의 재도전 지원 활성화 정책은 한국을 진정한 창업국가로 변모하게 할 것이다. 그러나 무엇보다 실패를 경험한 창업가 본인 자신이 새롭게 재기에 임하는 마음가짐이 중요하므로 본 연구의 목적 역시 재창업자가 다시 창업에 어떤 자세로 임해야 하는지 찾고자 하는데 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 재기에 성공한 4명의 사업가와 재도전을 했으나 여전히 성과를 못 내고 있는 5명의 사업가를 인터뷰하여 재도전의 성공 요인을 탐색하고자 한다. 연구 결과, 재기 창업가가 재도전 성공을 위해 가져야 할 자세와 역량을 1) 지식(knowledge), 2) 인지(cognition), 3) 감정(emotion) 이상 3가지 관점에서 기존의 연구가 다루지 못한 접근법을 제안한다. 먼저, 지식 관점에서 보면 기존 사업과의 동질성 여부가 중요한 것이 아니라, 새롭게 진출하는 영역에 대한 준비성이 재도전의 성공 여부에 영향을 미쳤다. 다음으로, 인지적 관점에서는 과거 실패의 원인에 대한 분석과 자기 실책으로의 귀인은 차이를 보이지 않았고 오히려 앞으로 영위할 사업에 대한 여러 사람들의 지적과 충고에 대한 수용 역량(coachability)이 성공과 실패를 나눴다. 마지막으로 감정 관점에서 선행연구는 실패로부터 슬픔을 빨리 극복하는 사람이 학습과정도 빨리 이뤄지는 것으로 여겨졌으나, 슬픔의 극복은 재기 후 성과와는 관련이 없었으며, 본 연구에서는 재기 전 생계유지가 가능한 상태 여부가 성공의 선행조건이 될 수 있음을 발견하였다.
