Efficient Energy management through Relay-Transsmission and Cluster Division in Wireless Sensor Network (무선 센서네트워크에서 중계전송과 클러스터 분할법을 사용한 효율적인 에너지 관리)

  • In sensor network, cluster based routing protocol about efficient energy usage method has researched variously. But existing cluster based routing protocol have problems. one of the problem is sensor nodes's imbalance energy consumption problem at cluster reconstruction. anther is non- connection problem between header node and spc node when they are far from each other, not properly connected. We propose cluster re-division and header node of multihop transmission method in this paper. The cluster re-division method is the method that re-divides existing routing protocol with the small-scale cluster and multihop transmission method is the method regarding the relay transmission between the header nodes. Through the simulation, the proposed routing mechanism shows more excellent than exiting routing protocol in balance energy consumption and energy efficiency.

  • Because WSNs operate with limited resources of sensor nodes, its life is extended by cluster-based routing methods. In this study, we use data on direction, distance, density and residual energy in order to maximize the energy efficiency of cluster-based routing methods. Through this study, we expect to minimize the frequency of isolated nodes when selecting a new cluster head autonomously using information on the direction of the upper cluster head, and to reduce energy consumption by switching sensor nodes, which are included in both of the new cluster and the previous cluster and thus do not need to update information, into the sleep mode and updating information only for newly included sensor nodes at the setup phase using distance data. Furthermore, we enhance overall network efficiency by implementing secure and energy-efficient communication through key management robust against internal and external attacks in cluster-based routing techniques. This study suggests the modified cluster head selection scheme which uses the conserved energy in the steady-state phase by reducing unnecessary communications of unchanged nodes between selected cluster head and previous cluster head in the setup phase, and thus prolongs the network lifetime and provides secure and equal opportunity for being cluster head.

  • The key in wireless sensor networks, which consist of a number of sensor nodes, is an energy efficiency. Many routing protocols have been proposed for prolonging network lifetime and reducing traffic in wireless sensor networks. Wireless sensor networks usually use wireless ad-hoc network protocols for routing, but these protocols are not well-suited for wireless sensor networks due to many reasons. In this paper, RM-flooding protocol is proposed for reducing routing overhead occurred when packet flooding. The nodes using this routing protocol can consume the limited energy effectively, and exchange information with remote nodes usulg information receiving from multipath. So, RM-flooding prolongs the network's lifetime.

  • 무선센서네트워크 환경에서는 에너지 효율적인 데이터 패킷 전송을 위해 multi-hop routing 기법과 multi-path routing 기법 등이 연구되고 있다. 두 기법 모두 에너지를 적게 소모하는 경로를 택하여 데이터 패킷을 전송한다. 그러나 에너지를 적게 소모하는 경로를 택하기 위해 센서 노드 간 거리가 가까워져 목적지까지 데이터 패킷을 전송하는데 많은 홉 수를 필요로 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 에너지 효율적인 경로를 택하면서 동시에 목적지 가까이에서 데이터 패킷 전송을 이어가는 cooperative communication 기반의 라우팅 기법을 제안한다.

  • 제한된 전지를 사용하는 노드들로 이루어진 이동 애드혹 네트워크 환경에서 멀티 홉 간의 에너지 효율적인 경로 설정은 매우 중요한 이슈이다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 이동 애드혹 네트워크 환경에서 자주 사용되는 라우팅 프로토콜 중 하나인 AODV(Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector) 라우팅 프로토콜을 기반으로, 네트워크 계층과 MAC계층의 자원을 크로스 레이어 기법을 활용하여 에너지 효율적인 크로스 레이어 라우팅 프로토콜을 제안한다. 네트워크 계층에서의 이웃노드에 관한 상태 정보를 크로스 레이어 기법을 활용하여 MAC 계층의 back-off time을 적절히 조절함으로써 프레임의 충돌을 줄이고, 패킷의 경로를 설정하는데 있어서 신뢰성과 효율성을 부여하기 위한 방법으로 MAC계층의 자원을 활용하여 얻은 Collision-Level을 사용한다. 또한 Collision Level은 패킷 경로 선택에 사용되는 지연시간을 적응성 있게 줄이는 자원으로 사용된다.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient dynamic workload balancing strategy which improves the performance of high-performance computing system. The key idea of this dynamic workload balancing strategy is to minimize execution time of each job and to maximize the system throughput by effectively using system resource such as CPU, memory. Also, this strategy dynamically allocates job by considering demanded memory size of executing job and workload status of each node. If an overload node occurs due to allocated job, the proposed scheme migrates job, executing in overload nodes, to another free nodes and reduces the waiting time and execution time of job by balancing workload of each node. Through simulation, we show that the proposed dynamic workload balancing strategy based on CPU, memory improves the performance of high-performance computing system compared to previous strategies.

  • Recently, a lot of researches have been done to increase the life span of network using the energy efficient sensor node in WSN. In the WSN environment, we must use limited amount of energy and hardware. Therefore, it is necessary to design energy efficient communication protocol and use limited resources. Cluster based routing method such as LEACH and HEED get the energy efficient routing using data communication between cluster head and related member nodes. In this paper, we propose an energy efficient routing algorithm as well as performance result using simulation.

  • 본 논문은 에드 혹 네트워크(Ad hoc network)에서 각 노드는 베터리 기반의 한정된 에너지로 동작 하기 때문에 에너지 효율을 높이기 위한 다양한 라우팅 알고리즘이 연구되고 있다. 에드 혹 네트워크는 많은 수의 노드들이 거리 등의 상호 속성 정보에 의한 노드의 관리 기법에 따라 노드의 에너지를 관리해야 한다. 또한 주어진 망에서 관리 노드 또는 중계 노드 등의 동작 불가능한상태가 되었을 경우 라우팅 경로가 끊어짐으로서 통신이 불가능한 상태가 되는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 트리망에서 중계 노드로 사용되는 클러스터 헤드 노드가 동작 불가능한 상태가 되었을 경우, 노드의 위치정보를 이용하여 새로운 헤드 노드를 선출하는 ECOPS(Energy conserving Optimal Path Schedule) 알고리즘을 제안 하였다. 특히 제한된 ECOPS 알고리즘을 이용함으로 노드에 대한 라이프타임을 향상 시키고 전체 라우팅 경로가 오랜 시간 동안 지속되는 결과를 보여 주었다.

  • IoT technology that utilizes wireless body area networks (WBAN) and biosensors is an important field in the health industry to minimize resources and monitor patients. In order to integrate IoT and WBAN, a cooperative protocol that constitutes WBAN's limited sensor nodes and rapid routing for efficient data transmission is required. In this paper we propose an we propose an energy efficient and cooperative link energy-efficient routing strategy(LEERS) to solve the problems of redundant data transmission detection and limited network sensor lifetime extention. The proposed scheme considers the hop count node congestion level towards the residual energy sink and bandwidth and parameters. In addition, by determining the path cost function and providing effective multi-hop routing, it is shown that the existing method is improved in terms of residual energy and throughput

  • The LEACH does not use flooding method for data transmission and this makes low power consumption. So performance of the WSN is increased. On the other hand, QoS based algorithm which use restricted flooding method in WSN also achieves low power consuming rate by reducing the number of nodes that are participated in routing path selection. But when the data is delivered to the sink node, the LEACH choose a routing path which has a small hop count. And it leads that the performance of the entire network is worse. In the paper we propose a QoS based energy efficient clustering and routing algorithm in WSN. I classify the type of packet with two classes, based on the energy efficiency that is the most important issue in WSN. We provide the differentiated services according to the different type of packet. Simulation results evaluated by the NS-2 show that proposed algorithm extended the network lifetime 2.47 times at average. And each of the case in the class 1 and class 2 data packet, the throughput is improved 312% and 61% each.
