Energy Consumption on Balcony Remodeling Type in an Apartment House (공동주택에서 발코니 확장형이 에너지소비에 미치는 영향)

  • The percentage of apartment houses in residential buildings has increased every year, and it result in higher energy consumption of residential buildings. After the house law could be amended to legalize the remodeling of the balcony, buyers and contractors prefer to choose the balcony remodeling type when they choose a house for installment sale. Many construction companies design an apartment house considering balcony remodeling. So, this paper compares the balcony remodeling type with the basic type(prior to remodeling balcony) by using the building energy rating system tool. The balcony remodeling type consumes heating energies more than the basic type, and is unable to receive high rating. If the balcony is remodeled, it is required to improve the performance of wall and window and reduce the area of remodeling balcony.

Improvement of Consumer's Reliability on the Eco Label by Suggestion of Quantifying Rating System (소비자 신뢰도를 높인 친환경 인증마크의 등급제 제안)

  • This study measured consumer's recognition, reliability, emotion and images about current eco-marks as well proposed an eco-mark rating scale and mark designs to improve consumer's trust on the fashion product marks. We used a questionnaire survey to collect data from 150 persons about knowledge, interests, and practice on eco fashion products in relation to trustfulness and positive images for three domestic and three international eco-marks. We evaluated and gave eco scores to six fiber-type products (cotton, organic cotton, wool, polyester, biodegradable polyester and nylon) in terms of consumer's use, water & land consumption, waste amount, carbon footprint, and toxicity. We suggested a new 5-level rating scale for eco marks, which quantified the concept of environmental friendliness of fiber products. The design for eco-mark of rating scale showed the total grade with two sub scores of environmental sides and human sides developed with an improved visual understanding for consumers. The design is one through benchmarking the energy-consumption efficiency mark, which is familiar to consumers such as a half circle shape to save environment resources to alarm consumers to environment problems.

  • 최근 고도성장에 발맞추어 건축물의 에너지 효율등급 인증제를 실시하면서 외단열시스템(EIFS) 외장재 사용이 늘어나고 있으며, 건물의 외관상의 디자인을 중시하게 됨으로써 다양한 소재의 외장재를 적용하고 있다. 그러나 건축물의 내부 또는 외부에서 발생된 화재가 외장재를 통해 건물 전체로 확산되는 이른바 동시다발성 화재가 많이 발생하고 있다. 2010년 부산해운대의 고층건물에서 외장재를 통해 연소 확산된 화재가 발생하면서 건축물의 외장재의 관한 규제가 절실해졌다. 현재 국내 건축법과 소방법에는 내화구조 및 내장재에 관한 기준은 있지만 외장재에 관한 기준은 마련되어 있지 않다. 이에 현재 건축물 외장재의 법제화를 하기 위해서 많은 연구와 실험이 진행 중에 있다. 이런 노력에 앞서 현재 상용되는 외장재의 종류를 살펴보고 국내 건축물에 적용된 외장재에 대해서 알아보는 것이 이번 연구의 목적이다.

  • 대통령 소속 국가건축정책위원회, 건축정책기본계획, 건축도시공간연구소, 공공건축가. 지금 우리 건축계를 정의하는 중요한 개념들이다. 이 모두 2007년 제정된 건축기본법에 근거한 내용으로서 당시 건설기술 건축문화선진화위원회, 건설교통부, 문화관광부의 '건축문화 선진화전략' 핵심과제였다. 그러나 '건축기본법'이 있어야 한다고 처음 주장한 사람은 김광현 서울대학교 건축학과 명예교수였다. 그가 연구책임자로서 건축기본법의 바탕을 만들었으며, 오늘의 건축계를 정의하는 건축기본법의 틀과 개념 그리고 용어의 설정도 거의 그의 구상에서 나왔다. 대한건축사협회(한명수 명예회장)와 건설기술 건축문화선진화위원회(김진애 위원장)가 이 법 제정을 위해 큰 힘을 기울였다면, 그는 이론적 기틀을 확립한 인물이다. 그는 학계에 있었지만 설계대가 제값 받기에 유독 관심이 많았다. 이유는 학생들이 사회에 나가 전문가로서 좋은 일을 할 수 있는 최대의 근거는 제대로 된 설계대가에 있다는 그의 지론 때문이었다. "학생들을 가르치는 최고의 목표는 그들이 사회에 나가 좋은 대접을 받게 하는 겁니다. 건축계에서 해야 할 가장 중요한 게 뭐냐고 지금 또 묻는다면 단언컨대 나는 제대로 된 '설계대가'라고 말할 겁니다." 김광현 명예교수는 과거 '공공발주사업에 대한 건축사의 업무범위와 대가기준'에서 '친환경건축물, 에너지효율등급' 등 추가업무에 대한 대가를 제대로 받을 수 있게 하자고 주장하고 이를 연구한 책임자이기도 했다. 그는 지금 젊은 건축사 건축교육 저변확대를 위한 '공동건축학교'를 설립해 활발히 운영 중이다. 월간 "건축사"가 국내 건축계 발전을 위해 힘써오다가 작년 2월 정년퇴임한 김광현 서울대학교 건축학과 명예교수를 3월 18일 그의 대학로 연구실에서 만났다. 그는 지난날을 회고하며 건축에 얽힌 이야기와 현재 하고 있는 일, 그리고 구상 중인 향후계획까지 다양한 이야기를 전했다.

Market Analysis on Green Building Certification System of the United Korean Peninsula based on the New Building Prediction in North Korea - Focused on Building Energy Conservation Plan, Building Energy Rating Certification, and Green Standard for Energy and Environmental Design (G-SEED) - (북한의 신축 건축물 예측을 통한 통일 후 한반도 녹색건축물 관련 인증제도의 시장 분석 - 건축물에너지절약계획서, 건축물에너지효율등급 및 녹색건축인증을 중심으로 -)

  • This research aims to predict and analyze green building certification market of Korean Peninsula after unification. First, it analyzes prospected unification time period, then it forecasts number of new residential and non-residential buildings to be constructed based on estimated number of residences in short at the time in North Korea. There exists a good chance that North Korea's new building market forms similar to that of South Korea, as unification would thoroughly proceed which would result levels of economic culture social politics in quasi-equal state. Thus, assuming the ratio of residential and non-residential building against population is similar in both Korea's, the number against North Korea's house supplied population can be estimated. Based on the expected numbers in North Korea, number of proceeded Building Energy Conservation Plan, Building Energy Rating Certification, and Green Standard for Energy and Environmental Design (G-SEED) are predicted. The research shows certification market related to green building in united Korean Peninsula to be \660 billion over 10 years. Not only certifications to newly built buildings but also including existing buildings, this market is to grow to a considerable extent. As this would largely influence eco-constructive materials, energy plant/equipment, and other relevant markets as well, it would require to make thorough preparations. In sum, to stabilize green building market even before the unification, the research proposes the necessities of appropriate systems in consideration of North Korea, through in-depth discussions and establishment of technology and policy directions in green building sector, such as building energy management and emission reduction technology.

  • As environmental issues are rising recently efforts to reduce environmental stress are emerging in all industry segments. Especially environmental impact of buildings occupy a critical portion, so each country is operating green building rating system for life cycle of buildings. Accordingly green building rating system for every facility is operating in Korea. And acquisition of grade I for building energy efficiency is mandatory for every new public buildings since 2010. To design green building efficiently and systematically eco-friendly elements should be considered and checked from the schematic design phase. But in many cases eco-friendly elements are checked at the end of constructed design phase. So applying eco-friendly elements at the value engineering process, which is performing through schematic and constructed design phase, could make a efficient and systematic green building design. Value engineering process is divided into pre workshop, workshop and post workshop stages. And subject selection in pre workshop stage is the step that finds out the subjects which has the great possibility to be improved to perform efficient value engineering workshop. So this study present the Green VE subject selection model to select the most considerable eco-friendly subjects in projects.
