Relationships Between Job Stress and Psychosocial Stress Among Nurses in a University Hospital (대학병원 간호사의 직무스트레스와 사회심리적 스트레스의 관련성)

  • This study was intended to measure the level of psychosocial stress among nurses working for a university hospital and to reveal its related factors. The self-administered questionnaires were given to 450 nurses during the period from October 1st to 31st, 2010. As a results, the level of psychosocial stress was 10.2% in normal group, 64.0% in potential stresses group, and 25.8% in high risk stress group. In correlation, psychosocial stress was positively correlated with job demand, but it was negatively correlated with job autonomy, supervisor and colleague support. For the results of hierarchial multiple regression analysis, the level of psychosocial stress was influenced by the variables of regular exercise, quality of sleep, subjective status of health, shift work, fit to the job, job demand, job autonomy and supervisor support. Especially, the psychosocial stress was higher related with the contents of job stress increased with explanatory powers of 18.1% on the psychosocial stress.

The Influences between New Nurses' Nursing Performance, Emotional Intelligence, Self-resiliency and Core Self-evaluation (신입간호사의 정서지능, 자아탄력성, 핵심자기평가가 간호업무수행에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is a descriptive research of investigating the correlation between new nurses' nursing performance, emotional intelligence, self-resiliency and core self-evaluation. The subjects were 114 new nurses working for less than 12 months at two different hospitals with over 800 beds located in Gyeonggi-do. Between July and November, this study collected the data measured by using a structured questionnaire survey for nursing performance, emotional intelligence, self-resiliency and core self-evaluation. As a result, it was found that there was a difference in the degree of nursing performance according to new nurses' education level, job satisfaction, and working position task satisfaction, and that the higher the emotional intelligence, self-resiliency and core self-evaluation were, the better the nursing performance was. As for emotional intelligence, education level, core self-evaluation and job satisfaction, it was found that they were variables to well predict the degree of nursing performance, and explained 33% of variance in nursing performance. Accordingly, it is necessary to provide actual field-adaptive training education including emotional intelligence and core self-evaluation other than nursing performance from new nurses' orientation in consideration of education degree and job satisfaction.

  • Since 2003, Korean government went thru biggest and the most significant 'innovation' communicating the government itself as well as its policies. Following Jo's research design conducted in 2003 (published in 2004), this study adopted a longitudinal design to see how Korean government agencies have been changed by the president 'Noh' administration. The concept, 'encroachment' has been utilized to measure professional level of public relations departments of Korean government agencies. 'Encroachment' occurs when a communication department is managed by a person without proper experience or education/training in the field of public relations. After interviewing public relations managers (19 from central agencies, 16 from local government), encroachment has been found to be 'almost not changed' while, opportunities for professional 'on the job' training increased to a certain level.

  • This study is analyzed by examining the records management systems that are built to use comfortably and manage the records of universities efficiently. This paper analyzed the current status of the records in Chonnam National University (CNU), unit task, function, and organization. As a result, CNU has 127 sections that treat 1,625 unit tasks. The unit task involved in education accounts for 85.91%. The problem is that unit tasks are not organized unequally. It can seem to include some problems in classification and analysis of work when unit tasks are even, more or less, in a particular area. Functional classification in universities are also unequally organized. In universities, functional classification in the field of administration is detailed, while functional classification in the field of research is small in quantity. A more efficient records management will be done if work and function about organization are formed appropriately.

The Influence of Work Delivery using SNS out of Duty Hours on Job Performance (업무시간 외 SNS를 통해 업무전달이 직무성과에 미치는 영향)

  • In the Chinese workplace, the use of SNS such as Wechat and QQ for work delivery out of duty hours has become a very common phenomenon, which is also known as the "new night shift". This study is to empirically analyze the effect of work delivery using SNS out of duty hours on job performance. A questionnaire survey was conducted with 310 Chinese workplace employees. In order to verify the hypothesis, structural equation model analysis will be implemented. Analyzing the questionnaire data and receiving frequent work delivery using SNS out of duty hours will increase job stress, aggravate the conflicts between work and family, and lead to the decrease of job engagement and job performance. The study provides implications for the establishment of related theories by providing a different view form previous research results that work delivery using SNS out of duty hours will definitely improve job performance. In addition, in future studies, it will be necessary to analyze the effect of the moderating effect in converging these conflicting views.

Tendency of Kindergarten Teachers' Work Performance and the Reality and Efficiency of their Working Hours (유치원 교사의 업무수행 경향성과 업무시간 운영의 실제 및 효율성에 대한 인식)

  • The purposes of this study were to examine a tendency of kindergarten teachers' daily work performance and to explore their perceptions on the reality and efficiency of working hours. 273 public and private kindergarten teachers completed questionnaires. The findings of the study are as follows. First, kindergarten teachers carried out an average of 1.41 duties per a 30-minute segment, and there were some differences in their duties between public and private teachers. Second, as a key reason of their lack of preparation time for class, public teachers indicated much administrative work, whereas private teachers indicated many events and common work. In addition, for the work duties that require supporting staff, public teachers pointed out clerical work, whereas private teachers named event-related duties. Third, in terms of efficiency of their working hours, both public and private teachers highlighted excessive workload as a key obstacle; public teachers also indicated the shortage of supporting staff, while private teachers indicated many event-related duties and lack of directors' leadership. These findings imply that it is important to maintain an optimum level of workload for kindergarten teachers, to secure preparation time for class, to increase work efficiency, and to provide support specific to kindergarten types.

  • 본 논문은 고용서비스 기관의 서비스 품질과 사용기업의 관리능력이 파견직 근로자의 조직만족과 사용 기업의 업무성과 개선에 대해 미치는 영향을 실증분석 하였다. 이를 위하여 본 논문은 서울, 경기지역 근로자 파견기업. 사용기업, 파견직 근로자를 설문조사를 실시하여, 근로자 파견기업 81부, 사용기업 83부, 파견직 근로자 79부 중 응답에 문제없는 파견직 근로자 79를 분석 사용하였다. 수집된 설문자료는 빈도 분석, 요인분석, 신뢰도분석, 위계적 회귀분석 등에 의해 분석되었다. 본 논문의 독립변수는 파견기업의 서비스 품질이며, 통제변수는 사용기업에 대한 만족도, 파견기업에 대한 만족도, 성별, 연령, 학력, 직위, 근무경력으로 구분하였다, 또한 중속변수는 업무성과의 개선, 직무만족이다. 분석결과는 첫째, 파견직에 대한 인식이 긍정적일수록 업무성과가 개선된다. 둘째 파견회사의 전문성이 클수록, 서비스능력이 좋을수록 업무성과가 개선된다. 사용기업의 적극성(관리능력)이 클수록 업무성과가 개선되는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Media relations is one of the most important areas of PR in Korea. And PR business ethics is the cause of misunderstandings and complications in PR media relationship. Therefore, PR practitioners' perception about PR business ethics is important part. Along with the rapidly developing PR industry, the ethical aspects of PR are gradually being taken seriously in executing PR projects and activities. PR practitioners have the social responsibility to preserve media clean in media relations because they primarily keep various information of organizations. In order to guarantee peoples right to know and the free flow and the free flow of information, the PR ethics must be closely examined.

  • This paper attempts to find an improved organizational structure for operating the traffic safety facilities. Currently, police is in charge of the facilities while the local government is in charge of its budget. By doing so, many inefficiencies and problems occur in these things. A delphi technique is used to survey these inefficiencies. Problems, and improved role and organization by three expert groups in local government, police and university The survey results are analyzed by each expert group as well as by the total group. The multidimensional scaling technique is also used. The most preferable answer is to newly establish a traffic experts' agency under the local government. The second preferable answer is to set the current traffic police under the control of the local government.

  • Planning and control for safety management executed by the head office is one of the most important parts for improving safety level of construction company. So this study is initiated with the purpose of suggesting an improvement strategy to perform effective and rational safety management at the head office. In order to investigate the current status of safety management of large construction firms in the Korean construction industry, the safety criteria related to the head office which are used in the Supermerit Certification System were chosen and examined by industry expert. The selected criteria are used for mail questionnaire. The survey was performed for 79 construction firms. Based on the 3-year average accident rate of 79 firms(1.20), the safety level of firms are classified. The safety improvement strategies for the below and the above are proposed respectively.
