Exploratory Study on Acceptance Intention of Mobile Devices and Applications for Healthcare Services (헬스케어 서비스를 위한 모바일 디바이스 및 어플리케이션 수용의도에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • This study aims to examine the preferred device types, the difference of device properties by service types, and acceptance intention for applications and willingness to pay for healthcare services. To attain this goal, this research conducted a survey targeted to the subjects of those concerned in hospitals and medical institutions, the aged and patients with chronic disease, and consumers having interest in health maintenance. According to the result of the analysis, acceptance intention for mobile devices for healthcare services was high in general. And patients with chronic disease and those concerned in hospitals showed high acceptance intention. Smart phones were preferred the most in the support of healthcare services. And there was the difference of device properties by service types, and in health maintenance, easiness and playfulness were somewhat high. Acceptance intention for mobile applications was rather high in personal use, and regarding the properties, personal information protection was valued highly.

Factors Affecting Intention to Use Smartphone Healthcare Applications (스마트폰 헬스케어 어플리케이션 수용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • This was a descriptive survey to determine the intention of users to use smartphone healthcare applications (SHAs) and to clarify factors that may influence such intention. The data were collected during the month of April in 2015, using a structured self-report questionnaire that was distributed to 300 participants aged 20 to 70 years; 285 complete copies were used for the final analysis. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and hierarchical multiple regression. First, according to the results, the average intention to use SHAs was 3.28 out of 5, which varied according to age, final education, economy level, vacation, current disease, total period of smartphone use, and etc. Second, significant correlations were shown by exercise behavior, dietary management behavior, stress management, satisfaction with smartphone use, and satisfaction with using SHAs. Third, the explanatory power of the predictive model involving all general, health-related, smartphone use-related, and SHA use-related factors was 45.5%; and the economic level, interest, status, and awareness satisfaction of patients using SHA were identified to be the main influential factors. The results indicate that SHA developers need to put efforts into improving consumers' app recognition and to develop plans in provoking consumers' interests to increase the use of SHAs.

Analysis on Interesting Element of Mobile Application Using User Reviews (사용자 리뷰를 이용한 모바일 어플리케이션의 관심 요소 분석)

  • Recently, many mobile applications have been developed and published by increasing popularity of smart phone's market. However, a lack of research work is an issue for mobile applications' favoritism to users. In this paper, we have determined the acceptance factors on the existing smart phone applications in order to fit into mobile user's requirements. In addition, we have defined the modification of acceptance factors which are the interesting element of mobile applications, code users reviews of top 20 paid applications among android market applications, and analyse on what element can attract users' interest of mobile applications. As a result, we propose a development method of mobile applications based on the analyzed interesting elements. Our contribution is to provide useful information to mobile application companies for helping them to develop and publish successful mobile applications.

An Analysis on Affecting Factors of Healthcare Applications Continuous Usage Intention and their Relationships (헬스케어 어플리케이션 지속적 사용의도 영향 요인 및 요인 간 관계에 대한 분석)

  • Many studies have been conducted on adoption of healthcare applications. However, few studies have paid their attention to continuous usage intention of healthcare applications even though success of healthcare applications is determined by Continuous usage intention rather than adoption. Therefore, this study tried to identify the factors affecting the continuous usage intention of healthcare applications and examined the relationship between them empirically. In addition, the role of gender and age in the relationship was investigated. The results showed that self-efficacy and innovation had a significant effect on perceived ease of use of healthcare application, while self-efficacy, health information seeking, and enjoyment had a significant effect on perceived usefulness. Perceived ease of use and usefulness showed positive impact on continuous usage intention of healthcare application. Finally, age and gender had a moderator effect the relationship between perceived usefulness and continuous usage intention. This study is expected to make contributions to the existing research by identifying the factors affecting the Continuous usage intention of healthcare applications, but also to give a guideline for managers who want to provide healthcare application services.

A Study on the Influence of User Experience of Fashion Sharing Application on Acceptance: Based on UTAUT Model (패션 공유 어플리케이션의 사용자 경험이 수용에 미치는 영향 연구: UTAUT 모형을 중심으로)

  • Fashion cannot encourage co-consumption with other people as a personal item, but it can lead to new consumer needs if fashion sharing service can professionally replace the time and cost of purchasing and managing goods. The purpose of this study is to empirically investigate the factors influencing the acceptance of fashion-sharing services based on the integration theory of user acceptance and utilization (UTAUT), and to discuss the virtuous cycle and sustainability pursuit of resources through the activation of the sharing. In this study, the research model for the acceptance of fashion sharing applications is schematized, and the survey was conducted 300 women aged 20~49 years. The screens of 'Project Anne', a representative fashion sharing service in Korea, were provided as a visual data. Reliability analysis, correlation analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation analysis, and multiple group analysis were performed using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 22.0 statistical package for statistical analysis. As a result, efficiency and social influence positively influenced behavioral intention to use, and age has found that efficiency and social influences modulate the intensity of behavioral intention to use. Therefore, for the consumer acceptance and activation of fashion sharing services, marketing activities emphasizing efficiency and strengthening social influence factors are essential. Also, it is necessary to maintain the existing target group, 30~40s, and also construct additional products and price services for the 20s. This study is of academic significance in presenting basic data for empirical research on consumer acceptance of fashion sharing, and suggests a study on the influence relationship among user experience components for real users in the future.

  • 인터넷 액세스망을 효과적으로 구축하기 위하여 급격히 확산되는 인터넷 트래픽을 수용할 기반 구축의 방법이 최근 주요 과제로 부상하고 있다. 기존의 엑세스망 설계는 전체 인터넷 트래픽 특성에 대한 가정으로부터 모델링을 하였으나 본질적으로는 특정 어플리케이션에 중점을 둔 결과를 보였다. 일반적으로 요즘에는 어플리케이션의 종류도 다양해졌고 트래픽의 양도 비약적으로 증가하였다. 그래서 이러한 설계방식은 다양한 어플리케이션를 제공하는 인터넷에서는 효율적인 엑세스망 설계를 저해하는 요인이 될 수가 있다. 본 논문에서는 계속적으로 증가하는 어플리케이션을 중심으로 어플리케이션에 따라 달라지는 트래픽의 통계적 특성을 조사하여 분류하고 설계에 필요한 요소들을 도출하고자 한다.

Diffusion of Web 2.0 Applications in Academic Libraries in the U.S. (미국 대학 도서관에서의 웹 2.0 어플리케이션 확산에 관한 연구)

  • This paper examines the extent and rate of adoption of five Web 2.0 applications (RSS, blog, tagging, podcast, and wiki) in 111 American Research Association (ARL) libraries and identifies institutional factors associated with Web 2.0 adoption. The popularity of Web 2.0 continues to grow, both in terms of the total number of adopting libraries and the adoption rate. Wiki adopter libraries are in larger universities, have larger professional staff, and are more acceptable to electronic resources than the non-adopters.

The Research of Exploring Factors Impact on User's Continuance Usage of Chinese Short-clip Application: Based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and use of Technology (UTAUT) and Flow Theory (중국 쇼트 클립 어플리케이션 지속 이용의도 연구: 플로우 이론과 통합기술수용모형을 바탕으로)

  • This research explored how the various of factors including performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence and facilitating conditions and some external factors consisting of critical mass, attention, perceived enjoyment, and time distortion had impacts on users' usage of short-clip application based on flow theory and the UTAUT model. The research employed SEM with 263 valid questionnaires. The results showed that social influence and satisfaction factors had positive impacts in sustainable usage of mobile short-clip application, while the other factors have no special effect on it. The results also indicated that time distortions had a negative effect in the intention of continuous usage. Furthermore, performance expectancy, perceived enjoyment, and time distortions had positive impacts in users' satisfaction. The beneficial effects of critical mass on social influence had been recognized through this study.

  • 에너지사업에의 경쟁원리 도입에 수반하여 전력회사와 가스회사 등 공익기업들은 수용가에 대한 부가가치서비스를 향상시키는 것이 급선무가 되고 있다. 또 요즘 들어서는 IT(정보기술) 응용분야의 급속한 보급으로 공익기업이 수행하는 수용가 서비스에도 그것을 적용하여 부가가치가 큰 서비스를 저코스트로 광범위하게 제공하는 것이 가능하게 되었다. 미쓰비시전기에서도 공익기업이 실시하는 수용가 서비스용으로 여러 가지 소프트웨어와 하드웨어기술을 개발하고 있다. IT이용에 의한 부가가치서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 각 수용가에 설치되는 수용가서버나 가정에서의 통신을 위한 전등선 반송기술 외에 광역계통 통신인프라로서의 통신회선, 그리고 광역계통 네트워크미들웨어, 서비스를 제공하기 위한 서비스관리센터, 각종 어플리케이션소프트웨어 등 광범위한 제품군이 필요하게 된다. 본고에서는 수용가 서비스사업 전개의 배경, 수용가 서비스시스템의 개요 및 이용되는 각종 요소기술에 대하여 기술함과 동시에 시코쿠전력이 추진하는 신네트워크사업에의 적용사례에 대하여 기술한다.
