Design and Implementing Ambidextrous Organizations for Innovative Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (기술혁신 중소기업의 조직양면성 구축과 운영에 대한 다차원적 연구)

  • In response to the recent rapid technological and market changes, the importance of the design of ambidextrous organization has been increasingly emphasized as one of the dynamic capabilities. Firms that show a high performance in the rapid technological and market changes appear to design and implement ambidextrous organization successfully. They have achieved both exploitative competence for continuous innovation with product development and exploratory competence for discontinuous innovation with new market and new technologies. We have examined why and how to design and operate ambidextrous organizations and the effects of ambidextrous organizational characteristics on the performance from structural, contextual and leadership perspectives. We conducted case studies on 3 Korean firms that showed different characteristics of industrial product, company size, etc. Longitudinal case studies exhibit different processes of design and operating ambidextrous organization according to innovative strategy and industrial characteristics.

The Development of Two-sidedness in Mature Two-sided Markets: Focused on Korean Credit Card Industry (성숙한 양면시장에서의 양면구조 발전에 대한 고찰 : 국내 신용카드 시장을 중심으로)

  • This study discusses some features observed in Korean credit card industry, which is classified as a two-sided market. First, I summarize six characteristics or conditions that two-sided markets possess by reviewing related literatures, and consider if we can find out those peculiarities in Korean card industry. Second, this study casts light upon the unique issues which have not been handled in previous studies, that is another two-sidedness in mature two-sided markets. In the context of credit card industry, this additional two-sidedness is created by specific consumers group existing in entire consumer group in a card firm as a form of subset and specific partnering merchants group offering special benefits to their subset consumer group, or alliance card holders. This concept gives new idea that there could be multiple two-sidedness especially in mature two-sided markets, which will be significant to platforms' pricing strategies and expand the scope of related studies.

Content Analysis on the Component of Two-sided eWOM (온라인 양면구전의 구성요인에 관한 내용분석)

  • This study analyzed online word-of-mouth information using content analysis to help practical categorization of two-sided eWOM. A total of 402 online consumer reviews on search goods and experience goods were collected. Descriptive characteristics(information direction, length of review line) and content structural characteristics(product benefit types, information presentation methods) were used as analysis criteria. The study results are as follows. First, the types of two-sided e-WOM direction were made of positive/negative, negative/positive, positive/negative/ positive, and negative/positive/negative. Second, the length of two-sided eWOM was longer than the length of one-sided eWOM and blended type accounted for the highest proportion both one-sided and two-sided eWOM at the aspect of product benefit. Third, holistic presentation method was overwhelmingly high in one-sided eWOM, whereas blended and analytic presentation methods were somewhat high in two-sided eWOM. Fourth, holistic presentation method was high in search goods, whereas blended and analytic presentation methods were high in experience goods. Based on these results, implications for two-sided e-WOM study and further research issues were discussed.

양면수광형 태양전지 성능평가를 위한 이중광원활용 측정 방법

  • 최근 산업용 태양광 발전시장에서 주목 받고 있는 양면수광형 태양전지의 경우 지면 반사광(Albedo)의 영향으로 추가적인 광생성(Photogeneration)이 발생하여 태양전지의 전환효율(Conversion efficiency)을 증가시켜 주기 때문에 시장에서 수요가 증가하고 있다. 이러한 장점에도 불구하고 몇 가지 문제에 대한 논의가 진행되고 있는데 그 중에서 가장 중요한 부분은 양면수광형 태양전지의 효율을 정의하는 부분이다. 양면수광형 태양전지의 효율을 정의하기 위하여 여러 가지 연구가 진행되었지만 현재까지 국제적인 기준이 제정되지 않아 정확한 효율의 정의가 어려운 상황이다. 양면수광형 태양전지의 성능 확인을 위한 측정 방식은 단일광원(Single light source) 조사 방식, 단일광원 분할(Single light splitter) 조사 방식, 이중광원(Double light source) 조사 방식으로 나눌 수 있다. 본고에서는 이중광원 조사 방식을 이용하여 후면 반사광의 광원을 개별적으로 정의함으로써 실제 발전 환경과 동일한 조건의 광량 정의를 통하여 다양한 지면 반사 조건에 대하여 정확한 태양전지의 전환효율을 측정하고 이를 통하여 다이오드 특성을 추출할 수 있는 측정 방식에 대하여 논하고자 한다.

  • 양면형으로 구성된 가유전체 기판에 마이크로파 대역 전송선로를 설계하여 크기를 약 절반으로 줄이는 방법을 제안한다. 가유전체 기판의 특성에 의하여 표준형 전송선로보다 길이가 현저하게 줄어드는 효과에 더하여, 가유전체 기판을 양면형으로 구성함으로서 다시 물리적 크기가 약 절반으로 줄어드는 효과가 보인다. 양면 전송선로는 신호선 비어홀(via-hole)에 의하여 연결되어 상하 전송선로 간에 전달특성이 양호함이 제시된다.

  • 압전소자의 초음파 진동을 구동원으로 하는 초음파 모터의 토오크 특성을 개선하기 위하여 양면 Teeth 구조를 가지는 진행파 여진용 고정자를 설계하고, 이를 유한요소해석 프로그램 ATILA-GID를 이용하여 변위분포를 해석하였다. 한 면에만 Teeth 구조를 가지는 기존의 고정자를 이용한 초음파 모터가 소형화, 제한된 토오크 응용분야에 있어서 Direct drive actuation을 위한 발판을 마련해 주었다면, 본 연구에서 제안하는 양면 Teeth 구조의 고정자는 토오크와 효율, 출력특성의 개선과 함께 구조적인 특성에서 기인하는 온도 안정성에 의하여 그 응용분야의 확대를 기대할 수 있다.

  • This study analyzes the mediation or moderation effect of the characteristics of perceived organizational support (POS) and relational culture on the ambidextrous organizational performance such as exploration and exploitation. This study empirically verified using the human capital corporate panel 548 data provided by Korea research institute for vocational education & training. The empirical results of the present study are as follows. First, it is shown that formal learning and informal learning provided to the members have a positive effect on ambidextrous organizational performance. In addition, POS showed that full and partial mediation effects of the formal learning and informal learning on ambidextrous organizational performance. Finally, relational culture have an important influence on positively moderating the relationship between informal learning and exploitative performance.

  • In this study, the performance of the technological innovation of small and medium enterprises is divided into short-term aspects of technological innovation and long-term aspects of ambidextrous innovation, and the effects of dynamic capabilities affecting these achievements are explored. For the purpose of conducting empirical analysis, the survey conducted a survey of 219 small businesses belonging to various industries, and dynamic capabilities performed a parallel multi-parameter analysis to demonstrate the effectiveness of technological innovation performance, including exploratory innovation and exploitative innovation. Through this study, it aims to understand the dynamic capabilities of the small and midsize enterprises and provide suggestions on how to manage of the company, thereby improving the understanding of dynamic capabilities and helping to improve the management of small and medium-sized enterprises.

  • Landscape has two side, ecological structure and visual characteristics. And Landscape evaluation should be implemented from this viewpoint. In this study, landscape of the Moodeungsan natural park was evaluated based on ecological and visual characteristics, and the results was compared with the existing zoning. And it was recognized that the areas having high preserbability are located in the nature environmental zone. For the purpose of natural park management planning, in this study, rezoning method of natural park based on landscape evaluation is proposed.

A Study on Ambivalent Consumption in the Purchase Behavior of Apparel Products (의류상품 구매행동에 나타나는 양면적 소비)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of ambivalent consumption appeared in the purchase behavior of apparel products by the 4Ps element of marketing mix and to clarify the relation between consumption value and clothing involvement that were the antecedent variable. Among the 4Ps element of marketing mix, brand was selected in the exterior criteria of products, and fashionability was selected in the internal criteria of products. Meanwhile, it was considered that there were no objects of conflicted or ambivalent criteria in the element of promotion. Finally, brand, fashionability, price, place, etc. were selected as the elements of marketing. A self-administered questionnaire was distributed to 550 subjects from Jun, 8th, 2006 to Jun, 22nd, 2006; 507 were used for the data analysis. The results from data analysis were following: firstly, it was identified that ambivalent consumption showed up, as the result from measuring the individual conflicting consumption by elements. Brand was the highest in the frequency of ambivalent consumption among the elements of marketing mix, and price, place, and fashionability were followed. Secondly, by product characteristics, the frequency of ambivalent consumption of casual shirt, group II, was lower than that of mountain climbing jacket, group III, in the brand element and the price element. Thirdly, as the results from conducting factorial analysis to consumption value, it had 5 dimensions, which were practical value, distinguishable/aesthetic value, conspicuous value, social/confirmative value, and enjoyable value. Also clothing involvement was classified into 4 dimensions of emotion, fashionability, symbolic and brand involvement in the result from conducting the factorial analysis to clothing involvement. Fourthly, the mean of ambivalent consuming group by each element was highest among that of other consuming groups in all the dimensions. Fifthly, ambivalent consuming group had the highest mean among other consuming groups in all the dimension of clothing involvement, such as emotion, fashionability, and symbolic by each element of marketing mix, and it means that overall, ambivalent consuming group is highly involved in all the dimension of clothing involvement.
