  • The domestic earthquake-resistant regulation was legislated firstly in 1988. However, The magnitude and frequency of earthquakes has been risen in South Korea. Therefore, the mandatory target of earthquake-resistant has been expanded. The earthquake-resistant rates of public facilities have been increased by 58.3%. On the other hand, education facilities are low with 24.8%. For the reason, more than 50% of the educational facilities are expected to be damaged by the earthquake. Especially, the 45% of educational facilities were damaged at Po-Hang earthquake. As a result, the importance of the seismic retrofit for applying existing education facilities was ended up attracting people's interesting. In this respect, in order to develop a effective seismic retrofit method, many researchers have been conducted researches and it is expected to be actively carried out in the future. However, it is insufficient to consider that how far technology has been developed. Therefore, the purpose of this study is a comparative analysis of precedent guidelines in regard to seismic retrofit applying existing education facilities between domestic and other countries. Finally, the directions of future research are suggested.

  • This study deals with the analysis of the technology association rules between CPC codes of the Internet of Things(IoT) patent, the core of the Fourth Industrial Revolution ICT-based technology. The association rules between CPC codes were extracted using R, an open source for data mining. To this end, we analyzed 369 of the 605 patents related to the Internet of Things filed with the Patent Office until July 2019, with a complex CPC code, up to the subclass-level. As a result of the technology association rules, CPC codes with high support were [H04W ${\rightarrow}$ H04L](18.2%), [H04L ${\rightarrow}$ H04W](18.2%), [G06Q ${\rightarrow}$ H04L](17.3%), [H04L ${\rightarrow}$ G06Q](17.3%), [H04W ${\rightarrow}$ G06Q](9.8%), [G06Q ${\rightarrow}$ H04W](9.8%), [G06F ${\rightarrow}$ H04L](7.9%), [H04L ${\rightarrow}$ G06F](7.9%), [G06F ${\rightarrow}$ G06Q](6.2%), [G06Q ${\rightarrow}$ G06F](6.2%). After analyzing the technology interconnection network, the core CPC codes related to technology association rules are G06Q and H04L. The results of this study can be used to predict future patent trends.

  • Since the second comprehensive mathematics education plan was announced in 2012, many policies have been implemented based on it. However, due to many changes in various social situations and revision of the curriculum, new plans and policy proposals for mathematics education are strongly required. But, we need to recognize what the changes in the current social and educational situation ask for education in order to make meaningful policy. Therefore, in this study, we intend to develop an appropriate questionnaire to investigate mathematics teachers' perceptions and educational status of mathematics by analyzing former domestic and international studies on the related field and reflecting the educational situation in Korea. When developing questions, experts' opinions were consulted and preliminary on-site survey studies were conducted to maintain the suitability and reliability of the questions. Through these procedure, 33 questions were developed in three areas: teachers' recognition on mathematics education, educational status of mathematics education, and ICT utilization. It will be used as a tool to investigate math teachers' perception and current status of mathematics education and the results from this survey will be useful for developing mathematics education policies for the future.

  • In December 2012, a pile driving boat sunk off the coast of Ulsan port in Korea. The cause of capsizing of these boats was considered a complex problem. Although Korean Ship Safety Technology Authority concluded that leaders (cranes) of the vessel were designed with sufficient safety factors, National Forensic Service concluded that the capsizing was caused by the failure of leaders. This study reviewed the related laws, strength calculations, and structural analysis methods used by the Korea Ship Safety Technology Authority. In addition, numerical simulations were carried out on hydrodynamic analysis and structural analysis to analyze the cause of vessel capsizing based on the rules of the Korean Register of Shipping. The results were similar to those found by National Forensic Service. In conclusion, the study suggested that inspection especially for a pile driving boat subjected to the Korean Register of Shipping rules should be carried out to prevent the similar accident.

  • Since the original description of new species, Eumicrotremus jindoensis, we confirmed the first occurrence of E. jindoensis based on a single specimen (22.3 mm SL) caught by inshore stow net at the coastal waters of Boryeong of Korea. However, our specimen slightly differed from type specimens in having more vertebrae (26 vs. 21~24), longer snout (17.4% vs. 8.1~9.1%), longer preanus length (67.5% vs. 58.0~58.3%) and shorter second dorsal fin base (15.3% vs. 20.2~20.8%). Comparing with mtDNA COI and Cytb sequences, we could not find any differences in mtDNA Cytb sequences between our specimen and type specimens, which suggest that those morphological differences may belong to local variation by habitat and environmental condition between off Jindo Island and off Boryeong in Korea. Eumicrotremus uenoi is known from the southern sea of Korea narrowly (Busan, Tongyeong, and Jeju Island), the other congeneric species (E. asperrimus, E. pacificus, and E. taranetzi) from only the eastern sea of Korea, but E. jindoensis from the central coast to southern coast of western Korea.

  • It has already been a few years since the word Fintech in Korea started to attract attention. These days, they believed that Fintech was just a boom, but these days it is recognized as a catalyst for financial transformation. Large venture companies are also launching demonstration experiments by creating new organizations that can respond to Fintech. It feels like a big tide is coming to the cautious and conservative financial industry. Finance is made up of digital information. Fintech is an evolutionary process in which finance, expressed by digital information, is transformed into information technology (IT) and human economic activities are reorganized. It is FinTech. You won't be able to understand the real effects of Fintech by sticking to individual applications like remittance payments or household account book services. Fintech is an innovation that changes the structure of economic activity itself. In fact, it is from now on that a big impact will come. In other words, now is the time when we are thinking of a dream that we have not yet dreamed of. In this paper, I will examine how fintech originated, spread to Korea, and how it intends to change Korea's finance in the future. Financial institutions have used the fruits of information technology advances in the direction of pursuing stability and stability, without major changes in the way they work. However, the movement of Fintech that started in Silicon Valley in the United States shows that the fruit can be used in other directions. The fruit of technological progress is expected to expand year by year in the future. It is a request of the times to use it to improve user convenience and to pursue innovation that is beneficial to society. We expect the flow of Fintech to accelerate innovation in the Korean financial industry.

  • The leaf temperature is principally regulated by the opening and closing of stomata that is sensitive to various kinds of plant physiological stress. Thus, the analysis of thermal imagery, one of remote sensing technique, will be useful to detect crop physiological condition on smart farm system and phenomics platform. However, there are few case studies using a thermal imaging camera on the agricultural application. In this study, three cases are presented: the effect of lime fertilizer on the rice, the different physiological properties of soybean under shading condition, and the screening of soybean breeds for salinity tolerance characteristic. The leaf temperature measured by thermal imaging camera on the three cases was used effectively to the physiological change and characteristics. However, the thermal imagery analysis requires considering the accuracy of measured temperature and the weather conditions that affects to the leaf temperature.

  • This paper analyzes the independent financial advisory business that is not yet active in Korea and proposes a plan to activate the independent financial advisory business using fintech technology. A bill was enacted in 2017 for the domestic independent financial advisory business, but it has not been activated much until now for various reasons. Although existing studies have proposed solutions in various ways, there is no clear solution yet. This paper proposes a new method of revitalizing the independent financial advisory business through fintech technology using the trust system that has recently attracted attention. Digital securities fintech technology using blockchain distributed ledger technology presents new possibilities in the real estate and music copyright markets, and related fintech venture companies continue to emerge in Korea. By combining these digital securities fintech technologies and the business process of ETF, a method was derived so that independent financial advisors can have their own financial products. The proposed model is more decentralized than the existing financial product sales structure, and presents the possibility of a protocol economy through a structure close to a private blockchain while complying with the existing financial order. This paper is meaningful in that it presented new solutions to completely different markets from information convergence perspectives on two completely different markets, and we hope that more business solutions will emerge through knowledge management activities that converge various perspectives in the future.
