알루미늄 합금판 저항 점용접부의 피로수명 예측 (Fatigue Life Prediction for Resistance Spot Weldment of Aluminum Alloy Sheet)

  • The fatigue life is predicted on tensile-shear spot weldment made from Al-Mg alloy sheet with thickness of 0.8mm using Mitchell's method and uniform material law by $B{\ddot{a}}umel$ and Seeger based on local strain approach. The fatigue properties of critical HAZ region are estimated from the tensile property using simple hardness method. To predict the fatigue life of spot weldment, the local stresses and strains at the potential critical region are estimated by Neuber's rule. The predicted fatigue life based on uniform material law using HAZ's material properties provides good results within a factor of 3, conservatively.

  • The aim of a benchmark study is carried out nine methods are employed for ULS analysis which implicitly predict the ultimate strength of aluminium stiffened panels under axial compression. For this purpose, DNV PULS, experimental and numerical data on the ultimate strength of panels were collected. Comparison of these experimental / numerical, DNV PULS / numerical, results with theoretical solutions by the candidate methods is performed. Also it's compared that ALPS/ULSAP program is based on closed-form formula for the ULS of plates and grillages under axial compression. It is considered that ALPS/ULSAP methodology provides quite accurate and reasonable ULS calculations by a comparison with more refined FEA. Comparison of these experimental data, numerical, computational software results with the simplified solutions obtained by the candidate methods is then performed. The model uncertainties associated with the candidate methods are studied in terms of mean bias and COV (i.e., coefficient of variation) against experiments and numerical solutions, and the relative performance of the various methods is discussed.

능동 상쇄 회로를 이용한 곡면 알루미늄 판의 Backscatter Field 감쇄 연구 (A Study on Backscatter Field Reduction of the Curved Aluminum Plate using Active Cancellation Circuit)

  • This paper propose a method to reduce the backscatter field of the curved aluminum plate using the cancellation system. The cancellation circuit is composed of a circulator, a LNA(Low Noise Amplifier), a VGA(Variable Gain Amplifier) and two phase shifters. Prior to experiment, we performed simulations to confirm the possibility using FDTD(Finite Difference Time Domain) simulator. We confirmed that the backscatter field could be reduced by the cancellation circuit when we changed the appropriate gain and phase. Finally, we performed an experiment to verify the performance of the cancellation circuit.

  • Tribologcal property of the ceramics used in severe condition was investigated and both $Al_2O_3$ ball and Al/SiC composite made by thermal spray process[TSP] were used as a specimen in this study. Four kinds of material couple in ball and disk specimens were tested in the dry condition by using ball-on-disk type tribo-tester. Friction coefficient, surface roughness, wear rate, and photograph of the worn surface were investigated. Generally, High SiC contents[$40{\sim}50%$] specimens showed very low friction coefficient below 0.05 and little wear rate in dry condition. And also, low SiC contents[0%] specimens showed a moderate wear rate and high coefficient of friction at the same condition.

  • 현재까지 초음파 모터는 소형 경량이면서도 저속에서 큰 출력을 가지며 정확한 위치 제어가 가능하다는 점에서 큰 관심을 끌고 있다. 대부분 회전형 로우터리 모터가 주종을 이루고 있으며 특수한 용도로 초음파 리니어 모터가 일부 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 진행파를 이용하여 쌍방향으로 움직일 수 있는 새로운 구조의 진행파형 초음파 리니어 모터를 설계하고 제작하였다. 설계는 유한요소해석법을 이용하여 구조의 가능성과 진행파가 왜곡되지 않는 최적구조, 계질, 크기, 경계조건을 결정하였다. 그 결과에 따라 리니어 모터를 실제로 제작하여 알루미늄판 위에서 주파수 변화 및 부하질량 변화에 대한 모터의 성능을 측정하였는데, 제작된 모터는 부하질량이 100 g일 때 14.6cm/s로 가장 빠른 속도특성을 보였다. 본 모터는 다양한 정밀위치제어 및 이동 소자로서 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Al 2024-T3 판에 AFRP를 접착한 복합재료의 인장강도에 대한 통계적 특성 (Statistical Properties for Tensile strength of Composite Materials Patched with AFRP on 2024-T3 Aluminum Alloy plate)

  • A hybrid composite APAL(Aramid Patched Aluminum alloy) , consisting of Al 2024-T3 aluminum alloy plate sandwiched between two aramid/epoxy laminates, was developed. The characteristics of tensile s trength were investigated and statistical properties of tensile strength were studied in terms of Weibull distribution probability with number of AFRP laminates. The tensile strength of APAL was inproportional to number of AFRP laminates and followed the two-parametic Weibull distribution.

  • In this study the fatigue crack growth behavior was investigated for the surface cracks in aluminum alloy A5083-O plate and its weldment. Several kinds of specimens were tested at room temperature. The Eccentric specimens(E1.0, E2.5) subjected to combined stresses(tension+bending) were tested and the welded specimens with weld toes(TOE1, TOE2) were tested in order to verify the method to consider the stress concentration such as weld toe. It was ascertained that the surface crack growth property in the weld toe could be predicted by the corrected Pang's equation proposed in this study.

  • In general, the operating temperature of electronic equipment is closely related to product life and reliability, and it is recognized that effectively cooling the parts is an important problem. In this paper, an experimental study on the cooling characteristic according to the pin array of the heat sink is conducted. The experiment on the heat sink was based on the natural convection and temperature distribution changes. The experimental results indicate that the pin array of the heat sink has an effect on the thermoelectric module's cooling characteristic.

  • 편징분방정식의 경계치문제를 푸는 대신 공동공진기의 이론을 이용하여 특수모양의 다이폴 안테나 임피이던스의 실수부가 계산되고 실측되었다. 이 안테나의 모양은 일차대징분방정식으로 부터 결정되었고 그 길이 2h는 한계내에 있었다. 사용주파수는 1500MC이고 영상면으로는 93×93㎠의 정방형 알루미늄 판이 사용되었다. 저항치는 β가 증가함에 따라 점차 감소하였고 측정된 저항분과 이론치가 잘 일치하였다.

  • 본 연구는 적층복합보에 있어서의 층간분리현상을 추적하는 기법을 소개하고 있다. 이 기법에서는 층간분리된 보와 층간분리되지 않은 보와의 응답차이를 최대화하도록 조화운동의 가력을 보위별로 최적화한다. 2개층의 알루미늄 보에 대하여 수치해석을 수행하였으며, 계측 및 보의 형태에 따른 노이즈를 고려하였다. 층간 분리를 모델링하기 위하여 스텝함수를 사용하였으며 층별 복합판 이론에 기본한 유한요소법을 이용하여 해석하였다.
