  • 최근 국내의 경우 FDS를 이용한 성능설계, 화재영향평가 및 피난안전성평가와 더불어 화재조사분야에 이르기까지 다양한 분야에서 활발하게 사용되고 있는 반면 FDS의 소스코드의 분석 및 검증등과 관련한 연구는 매우 미비하며 그결과 또한 구체적인 문제점제시보다는 FDS를 활용하여 실험결과와를 대비하는 수준에 머물러 있는 상황이다. 따라서 본연구는 FDS의 검증을 위한 외국사례를 조사분석하여 향후 국내에서 FDS의 활용시에 대한 주의점 및 향후 한국에서의 활용을 위한 개선방안을 도출한 것이다.

  • The architecture environment has changed. The corresponding design criteria should be changed. From July 27th, 2005 the Korea Standard of the fire door changed concerning the smoke resistance test which made the door gap structure more elaborate. However the National Fire Safety Codes are applied by the old data's of England. Which in case differs in the actual construction to the blue print, making the safety standard too excessive. Analyze the results and the phenomenon that occurs due to the difference between design and reality. The National Fire Safety Codes should be revised to leakage crack calculation is presented. Difference of the air flow for the smoke protection due to the stack effect analyzed. Living patterns and evacuation patterns of the apartment reflect and reasonable air flow measurement method are presented.

  • 최근 국내의 경우 FDS를 이용한 성능설계, 화재영향평가 및 피난안전성평가등 다양한 분야에서 활발하게 사용되고 있으며 더불어 제조물책임법(PL법)과 실화책임에 대한 법률등이 새롭게 제정됨에 따라 화재조사 및 감정분야에 화재시물레이션이 적용될것으로 예상됨으로서 이러한 분야에 대한 화재시물레이션의 적용이 큰 이슈로 등장하고 있으며 이에 따라 소방방재청에서도 차세대소방기술에 대한 R&D로서 수행중에 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 상황에서 FDS를 화재조사에 활용함에 따른 문제점과 개선대책을 검토한 것이다.

A Study on the Behavior of an Existing Tunnel and the Safety Implications on its Facilities from a New Tunnel Blasting (신설 터널 발파 시 기존 터널 거동 및 시설물 안전에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the behavior and safety of an existing tunnel and its facilities are investigated when a new tunnel adjacent to the existing tunnel is blasted. The design of the new tunnel puts priority on stability of the tunnel itself over the safety of the facilities which are installed within the existing tunnel such as jet fans. And thus, a detailed consideration on securing the safety of the existing facilities has been insufficient. An analysis on the types of traffic accidents in the last ten years shows that most incidents were due to the driver's improper response in emergency situations and unexpected obstacles. In consideration of this analysis, the safety of the facilities in the existing tunnel was secured by minimizing the charging amount for each hangfire and changing the excavation method of evacuation communication shelters to the large center hole cut blasting method to reduce blasting vibration. For a more quantitative analysis, measurement devices were installed inside the existing tunnel, at houses adjacent to the new tunnel, near jet fans in the existing tunnel. This enabled real time measurement of displacements of the existing tunnel, adjacent houses, and jet fans without interrupting traffic flow. Therefore, the improvements of charging amount for each hangfire, the blasting method, and the measurement method are suggested in this paper to secure the safety of the facilities in the existing tunnel when a new tunnel, located on a large city and adjacent to an existing tunnel, is designed.

  • A quantitative risk assessment method for quantitatively evaluating the fire risk in designing a road tunnel disaster prevention facilities has been introduced to evaluate the appropriateness of a disaster prevention facility in a large tunnel through which all vehicle types pass. However, since the quantitative risk assessment method of the developed can be applied only to the large sectional area tunnels (large tunnels), it is necessary to develop a quantitative risk assessment method for road tunnels passing only small cars which has recently been constructed or planned. In this study, fire accidents scenarios and quantitative risk assesment method for small road tunnels through small cars only which is based on the methods for existing road tunnels (large tunnels). And the risk according to the distance between cross passage is evaluated. As a result, in order to satisfy the societal risk assessment criteria, the distance of the appropriate distance between cross passages was estimated to be 200 m, and the effect of the ventilation system of the large port exhaust ventilation system was quantitatively analyzed by comparing the longitudinal ventilation system.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the development direction of fire safety through the analysis of previous researches in the field of fire fighting. To this end, 929 papers published in the Journal of Korean Institute of Fire Science and Engineering have been sorted by field of study and analyzed for frequency. Accordingly, it was confirmed that researches were conducted in the order of fire chemistry and physics, detection and extinguishing system, fire safety design and management, evacuation and human behavior. In contrast, very little research has been conducted on human behavior, fire safety education, or training. This result is discussed in the article, and suggestions for future research objectives are made.

  • With regard to smoke control system, the design guidelines of smoke exhaust for accommodation and smoke control for evacuation stairs and vestibule has been proposed domestically, but after reviewing the applicability to modern buildings that tend to be larger, higher and complex, a smoke control system according to domestic design guidelines might have difficulty in securing the safety from smoke in a fire. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt the performance-based design of a smoke control system that can enhance the safety and integrate the smoke control functions and design depending on the characteristics of fire and building structure in the case of fire in a large, high-rise, and complex building. This study analyzed the domestic design guidelines of a smoke control system and this paper proposes the part requiring improvement, and examines the legal system and guidelines on performance-based design of smoke control system in foreign countries.

  • 다중 이용시설, 학교, 주택 등 사람이 많이 이용하는 곳은 화재 발생 빈도가 높을 뿐만 아니라 대피하기가 어렵고, 기존의 비상등 표시 방법, 일회성 대피 안내 등으로 인해 화재 상황의 다양한 변수에 효과적으로 대처하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 트윈(Digital Twin) 기술을 기반으로 다양한 센서를 통해 인식된 화재 요소를 반영한 화재 대응 및 피난 시뮬레이션(Fire Dynamic Simulator & Pathfinder)을 통해 안전한 대피 경로를 도출하여 안내하는 시스템을 설계한다. 제시하는 방법은 화재 상황에 능동적으로 대처하기 위해 실시간 인원변동 및 변화하는 화재변수에 대비 할 수 있으며, 상황에 따른 적극적인 대피 훈련과 실제 상황에서의 긴급한 상황에서의 대피경로 도출과 안내에 활용할 수 있다.

A study on design and performance test of fire door with high endurance performance in submarine tunnel (고내구성능을 갖는 해저터널 방화문 설계방안 및 성능시험 연구)

  • In the tunnel of domestic high - speed railway, the main fire - fighting facility, fire - extinguishing passageway, is installed. However, due to the high pressure of the high - speed train, frequent breakage and maintenance are caused by strong shock and long - term vibration. In order to solve these problems, it is necessary to improve the fire door, but in Korea, it is installed by submitting a certificate by simple KS F 2296 performance test. At present, it is developed as a simple test certification by producing a real scale fireproof door without the theoretical examination in advance, so that a high cost for improvement is occurring in Korea. Therefore, through this study, structural analysis study which can preliminary structure review was carried out in order to design the refuge connection passage fire door and to improve the performance improvement. In order to secure the reliability of the result value, the official authentication test (KS F 2296) were compared.

A Study on Integrated Fire Protection System for high-rise Building (초고층빌딩 통합 화재방재시스템 설계 및 구현에 관한 연구)

  • The fire protection system for high-rise buildings is currently confined to the preparation of sprinklers, emergency stairs, and exit and monitoring systems. On the other hand, an integrated system, including the model with scenario-based actions, is required for effective fire protection. An integrated fire protection system is needed to operate and manage the total cycle of the fire protection. In this study, an integrated fire protection system, which included sensing and consequent processes related to fire emergencies, was designed and implemented. The designed scheme can gather and analyze the data of the production, operation, and consumption patterns as it integrates fire protection systems for fire fighters and evacuating people. The integrated fire protection technology and system, which has target performance with satisfied 1/2 sec transaction response time and 1.2 transactions per second, is expected to contribute to market creation in converged technology-based fire protection fields.
