Design and Analysis of Data File Protection based on the Stream Cipher (데이터파일의 보호를 위한 스트림 암호방식 설계와 해석)

  • Recently, as the personal computers are supplied rapidly, they formed the nucleus of the computer system. But, because of the easiness that anyone uses them to go near easily, it is the fact that the security of personal computer is weakness. So, in the paper, 1 propose the technical method that minimizes the loss and leakage of important data. This paper implemented a crypto system for security of data file on personal computer and assistance storage medium. The way of encryption/decryption is applied by complexity method which mixed Diffie-Hellman key exchange protocol, a typical RC4(Rivest Cipher version 4) algorithm of stream cipher and a typical MD5(Message Digest version 5) of Hash Function. For valuation implemented crypto system, three criteria is presented, which are crypto complexity, processing time and pattern matching. And according to analysis the three criteria the crypto system is verified the security, efficiency and usefulness. The crypto system is programmed with Visual C++ language of Microsoft. And so, as this is software system, we shall have a technical security system at a minimum cost for all personal computer.

  • During the last decades several devastating tsunamis have been occurred. Recently, there have been increasingly concerned about tsunamis around the Korean Peninsula since the 2004 Sumatra Tsunami occurred on December 26, 2004. In general, the Korean Peninsula is not safe against potential tsunami attacks. The 1983 Central East Sea Tsunami and the 1993 Hokkaido Tsunami caused considerable damage to the Eastern Part of the Peninsula. Thus, a prediction of damage due to tsunamis must be required at the Eastern Part of the Peninsula. In this study, numerical simulation of tsunamis at Pohang New Port, one of the most important ports in the Eastern Part of Korea, is conducted for three different tsunami events. Numerical simulation is focused on inundation on the port and run-down around an intake structure which supplies cooling water to the porthinterland. The computed results show that Pohang New Port is damaged by the most dangerous tsunami which can be generated in the East Sea. Thus, it is required to set up a counter-measure against tsunami attacks at Pohang New Port.

  • By the statistics of traffic safety public corporation as of Feb. 2009 year, in domestic 16,861,965 cars were registered and in this Gwangju is registered by 476,149 cars. Except Ulsan, compare to other metropolitan city, vehicles numbers are fewer. Then, as of 2009. 4. 9. by the announcement of National land and marine ministry, the operation distance of passenger cars of Gwangju metropolitan city is 40.9 km per 1 day and the most highest in the whole country. On the one hand, by the materials of traffic safety public corporation, from 2007. 1. 1 to 2007. 12. 31 for a year, traffic accidents of Korea were 211,662. By this, 6,166 people were death, 335,906 people were wounded. This mean about 17 people death and 920 people wounded per day. In Gwangju metropolitan city, last year 8,231 traffic accidents took place and 138 people were death and 13,533 people were wounded. This while government did various traffic policy to reduce traffic accidents and some degree were progressive. But still the actual circumstances is that disgrace of traffic undevelopment country can't take off. Moreover, the concern for the traffic safety of feeling of general people is very deficient. In this research, with the help of Gwangju province police station. analysed traffic accidents reality of 2009 year March and this is going to look around spring season traffic accidents prevention activities and spring season means from March to June.

  • In recent years, earthquakes and volcanic activity have been occurring actively in Japan, China, and Southeast Asia in the central Pacific Rim, and the cycle interval is shortening. In addition, there is Baekdu mountain, which is a large active volcano in Korea. On the other hand, the legal system and guidelines related to volcanic ash are very limited to counteract volcanic disasters. The volcano manual does not present specific countermeasures against volcanic disasters. The preparation of systematic disaster prevention measures against an eruption of Mt. Baekdu and the volcanic activity in Japan and China, which are occurring continuously, is necessary. Therefore, this study suggests an improvement to the relevant laws and regulations against volcanic disasters to analyze the aviation safety manual and relevant legal system. The problems with the current legal system are improved by modifying the legal system related to the air traffic sector when volcanic disaster occurs, and it is expected that more efficient manuals and guidelines will form the basis for the smooth operation of the manual at a disaster site.

Analysis of Performance Tests and Friction Characteristics of a Friction Type Isolator Considering Train Load Conditions (열차 하중조건을 고려한 마찰형 방진장치 성능시험 및 마찰특성 분석)

  • In the case of an elevated railway station, structure borne noise and vibration due to structural limitations allow the load and vibration from railway vehicles to be directly transmitted to the station structure, resulting in an increase in the number of civil complaints from customers and staff of the station. The floating slab track system, which is well known as one of the solutions for reducing the noise and vibration from elevated railway stations, usually contains rubber mounts or rubber pads under the railway slab which act as a damper. These types of device have the disadvantage that is difficult to predetermine the exact stiffness and damping ratio under the nonlinear loads resulting from train services. In this study, an isolator with a friction type of wedge is introduced, which can be applied to floating slab track systems and to be designed with precisely the required stiffness. Furthermore, a comparative analysis of the stiffness between the designed and experimental values is carried out, while the damping ratio, which is closely related to the friction wedge blocks, is deduced according to the train load condition. The performance tests of the isolator were conducted in accordance with the DIN 45673-7 standard which includes both static and dynamic load tests. The load conditions for the performance tests are designed to conform to the DIN standard related to the weight of the train and rail track, in order to perform vertical and horizontal load tests, so as to ensure the secure structural safety of the railway. Also, by checking the change aspect of the friction coefficients of the friction elements according to the loading rate, the vibration reduction performance of the friction type isolator with variable loading rate conditions is examined.

A Study for Reliability Improvement of Belt Type Door System using FMECA (FMECA 적용을 통한 벨트식 도어시스템 신뢰성 향상에 관한 연구)

  • As a modem urban train is getting complex in terms of high-technology in its systems and components, the failure management should be performed with scientific and systematic technique. FMEA is a technique to analyze the failure trends of component parts and influences to the higher level system in order to discover the design incompleteness and potential defects, which is for improving reliability. Especially, FMECA (Failure Mode Effects, and Criticality Analysis) is used in case that the criticality that has an immense influence to the system is important. In case of urban train, in its design and manufacturing steps, FMEA is frequently used as an analysis technique to meet the safety objectives and eliminate potential hazards/failures since the concepts of reliability of train is introduced these days. Though, FMEA technique in the maintenances steps lacks in its investigation and applications yet. FMEA is also not applied to the trains operated by Seoul metro in the design and manufacture steps excepts the newest trains. In this paper, through analyzing the failures/maintenance data of the belt-type door systems used in trains operated in Seoul metro Line 1, which is accumulated in RIMS (Rolling-stock Information Maintenance System), FMEA procedures to the belt-type door engines are proposed. Especially, an effort is made, to approach the detailed FMECA procedures to the door magnet valve and switch and door engine devices which vastly influences the customer safety and satisfaction.

Spatial Pattern and Trend Analysis of Parking-related Electronic Civil Complaints in Jinju-Si (진주시 주차관련 전자민원의 공간패턴분석 및 추이분석)

  • Korea, which has undergone a rapid urbanization, faces various problems such as the management of facilities, safety, environment and transportation. To solve civil complaints, local governments receive electronic complaints, but complaints are increasing. Therefore, this study conducted the spatial distribution pattern analysis and the trend analysis by presenting location data on spatial information through Geo-coding by collecting electronic civil petition data over the last 10 years targeting Jinju city. Using the ARIMA model, this study predicted the occurrence of complaints over the next two years (2016~2017) through a time series forecast analysis. As a result, the complaints related to illegal parking were the highest, the complaint related to noise was the second highest, and the complaints related to illegal garbage dumping was the third highest. In addition, the analysis of the spatial distribution pattern shows that the largest hot spot was formed in the central commercial district every year. As a result of the time series forecasting analysis for the crackdown of the illegal parking, complaints increased slightly. To compare the predicted value and the actual data showed a similar pattern. It is judged that this study will be utilized to establish effective countermeasures against civil complaints.

Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometric Analysis of Heavy Metals in Unpolished Rice Grains (원자흡광법(原子吸光法)에 의(依)한 현미중(玄米中)의 중금속(重金屬) 함량분석(含量分析)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • Rice grains harvested from paddy fields around industrial areas of Kyongin, Iri, and Jeonju were taken and analysed the contents of heavy metals which were considered to be accumulated in those rice grains. Atomic absorption spectrophotometer was applied for analysis of heavy metals such as copper(Cu), zinc(Zn), lead(Pb) and cadmium (Cd) in unpolished rice grains. The content of Cu in rice grains harvested from Iri was the lowest, 2.94 ppm, while those from Seo-Myon, Shiheung-Gun was the highest, 3.65 ppm. The contents of Zn and Pb in rice grains were ranged 20.56~27.21 ppm and 0.38~0.53 ppm, respectively. Cd content were exceptionally lower than the regulated level, 1.0 ppm. The content of this metal detected in rice grains from Seo-Myon was the highest, 0.509 ppm, but those of other areas were much lower, ranged 0.040~0.136 ppm. The present concentrations of Cu, Zn, and Pb in rice grains were also lower than the expected level and below the maximum permissible concentrations.

Study on the Prevention and Combat System of Oil Pollution in Germany (독일의 해상유류오염 예방 및 방제체계 고찰)

  • In Germany, North Sea and East Sea possess significant meaning in many aspects. North coast has an important economical significance to North Sea Gulf States. There are a number of harbors and manufacturing facilities in this area. Agriculture is also developed. East sea, where sea water and river water mingle. has a problem that it can not control harmful substances as fast as the North Sea due to its geographical location of being connected with the North Sea as a narrow water. To protect from big and small ship accidents and pollution sources, East Sea and North Sea have enacted HELKOM Convention and OSPAR Convention, respectively. Moreover, Denmark and Germany have made cooperation on tugboats in the occurrence of shipment accidents through the LethGer-Plan and DenGer-Plan. In 1998, after the Pallas accident that occurred near Bremen, the need to improve cooperation among each states on usable resources for ocean security has been increased in Germany. Consequently, the federal government and gulf state governments associated and organized the so called, "Havarie-Kommanando Ship Accident Measure Unit". Haravarie-Kommanando is a federal-state associated organization that deals with affairs that controls national operation and mobilization of ship accident related organizations unitively when serious ship accidents occur. Moreover, federal and state participant organizations, each shipping agencies and Wiking-Helicopers-Services, a helicopter agency, are cooperating well. Also, mutual assistance with the most prominent passenger agency called Scandlines, ARGE Kuestenschutz(Germany-Denmark shipping agency) is making progress as well.

A study on the state of the art on the construction and the new technology of the underground structure(underpass, underground passageways) (지하구조물(지하차도, 지하통로)건설 현황 및 관련 신기술 개발동향 연구)

  • This study was performed to investigate how to design, where to construct, why to degrade, what plan to use systematically the underground structures such as underpass, underground passageways. About 50% of the underground structures are located on Seoul, Kyungi-Do. In design of the underground structures such as underpass, underground passageways, the required conditions are defined. And also in construction stage, the conditions of soil, required structure depth, site characteristics, reasonable construction method, are investigated. In the selection of details for underground structure, the items mainly considered, are the wall and column type, the sidewalk type, anchoring-system type, the water-proofing method, entranc shape. The reason and the adequate measures for the degradation of concrete structure are also investigated. The initial cracking properties due to the thermal characteristic are considered. The state of the art report on the new technologies are reviewed. The recent project for the systematically application to the underground structures is reviewed.
