The Difference of Child Care Support and Parenting Stress Depending on Using In-Home Care Service (아이돌보미 서비스 이용유무에 따른 사회적 지지와 양육스트레스의 차이)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine ways to improve In-Home Care Service for differences resulting from child care service and parenting stress, depending on use of the service. Participants consisted of hers from 293 who use the service in K region. From September 1, 2009 to October 25, total 193 mothers were surveyed by e-mail. 69 mothers were finally analyzed. The main results were as follows; First, the mothers got the supporting aids from two different ways, irrespective of using In-Home Care Service. One was the instrumental supports given them by their husband and relatives, and the informative and emotional supports maintained by husbands, friends, neighbors, colleagues, and network community, as well. Second, The In-Home Care Service non-users received child care support from their husbands and parents compared with the In-Home Care Service users. Third, few differences shown statistically between the two groups that use it and don't use it.

The Current State of Families using the In-Home Care Service and Satisfaction in Service According to Family Type (아이돌보미 서비스 이용가정 실태 및 가정유형에 따른 서비스 만족에 관한 연구 : 서울 거주 아이돌보미 서비스 이용 가정을 중심으로)

  • The purposes of this research were (1) to comprehend how families used and evaluated the in-home care service provided by the Healthy Family Support Center, and (2) to investigate the differences in the perceptions of service fee, satisfaction in and loyalty to service among the types of family categorized by their income. The data from 346 mothers or fathers whose children had received the in-home care service at least once were analyzed. One-way ANOVA and Scheffe or Tamhane post hoc test were used to test the hypotheses. The findings were as follows: 1. There were significant differences in perception of the service fee among the family types: the 'Da'-type families tended to perceive that the service fee was expensive and not cheaper than the similar services provided by other organizations. 2. The 'Ga'-type families scored significantly higher than the 'Na'-type families and the 'Da'-type families on satisfaction in service, and higher than the 'Da'-type families on loyalty to the service. 3. No significant difference was found on satisfaction in the performances of baby-sitters and staffs in charge of the service. The implications drawn from the study findings are discussed.

The Impact on the Child Caregiver's Job Satisfaction from Characteristics of Work and Characteristics of Interpersonal Relationship (아이돌보미의 근무특성과 대인관계 특성이 직무만족에 미치는 영향)

  • This study attempts to explore impact on the Child Caregiver's Job Satisfaction from Characteristics of Work and Characteristics of Interpersonal Relationship, and provide them with basic data to increase the Child Caregiver's Job Satisfaction and to improve the quality of the child caregiver service business. We was conducted among our surveys the Child Caregivers 114 of S metropolitan city. Key study outcome is as follows. : First, the sociology of population by the Visual Characteristic on Job Satisfaction of the Child Caregiver was showing some significant differences, Some had no effect. Second, Child Caregiver's Characteristic of Work and Interpersonal Relationalship Characteristics, formerly the (+) correlation between Job Satisfaction is analyzed. Third, the estimated result of the regression model Characteristics of Work have to have a meaningful difference in the important influence on Job Satisfaction and Interpersonal Relationship Characteristics and were shown to. In conclusion, co-worker relationships, relationships of the family to receve child care service, relationships of the children to receve child care service, there is a greater Job Satisfaction to be associated entities. Therefore, We must make an effort to increase the child caregiver's job satisfaction and to enhance the quality of child care service from improving the child care system and developing the various education programs.

A Study on the Job Satisfaction of Child Care Helpers in Seoul City (서울시 아이돌보미의 직무 만족도에 관한 연구)

  • This study aimed to investigate the job satisfaction of child care helpers who are service providers in a child care support project. For this study, 302 child care helpers in ten districts within Seoul participated in the present study. A survey was conducted to collect data concerning their job satisfaction. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and regression using the SPSSWin 16.0 version. The results of this study were as follows. Generally, child care helpers had a high degree of job satisfaction. In addition, they exhibited the highest degree of satisfaction in relationships and the lowest satisfaction in wages. Furthermore, they demonstrated varying degrees of job satisfaction depending on their individual characteristics, activity characteristics, and activity recognition. The results of the present study can provide useful implications in regards to successful child care support projects.

A Basic Study on Public Nanny Service Characteristics and Improvement Strategies (이용자관점에서 본 아이돌보미지원사업의 특성과 개선방안에 관한 기초연구)

  • In order to find out better policy strategies for public nanny service, this study tried to find out the characteristics and the major problems of this service based on 24 in-depth interviews and 7 focus group interviews with nannies, beneficiaries, managers, and public agents. Research findings showed that public nanny service was effectively filling the gap between nursery care services and parent's care services(especially who are both working). Also, this service provided tailored support to parents who have urgent or unexpected problems which prohibit them from properly caring their children. Especially this service effectively worked for temporary needs of caring young children. This study proposes these two strategies as follows: First, the beneficiary selection criteria should be updated. Second, the level and types of available time should be raised to fit the diverse needs of parents.

A Study on the Difficulties and the Coping Strategies of the In-home Child Care Support Service (아이돌봄서비스 이용의 어려움과 대처방식 및 이용가정 유형화 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the in-home child care support service experience of twenty child rearing families. In order to conduct this study, grounded theory method was employed. The central phenomenon of the service experience digged out from this study was 'difficulty' (i. e. insecurity and a feeling of helplessness). The causal conditions which brought about the central phenomenon were 'defect of system' and 'service characteristics' The intervening conditions included 'alternative resources' 'working conditions' and 'service institute manager discretion'. The contextual conditions consisted of 'maternal ideology' 'the public nanny's personality awareness'. The action/interaction strategies on the central phenomenon were 'inaction' 'insecurity decrease strategy' and 'dissonance decrease strategy. The final outcome was 'rearing gap fillup "the method of nanny managing" dissatisfaction accumulation' ''system improvement demand'. The families were classified as four types: 'management/subject' 'adaptation/dependent' 'patience/acceptant' 'supplementation/overcoming'. Based on these results, this study provided a few political and practice suggestions to improve this system.
