Finally, it is pointed that the evaluation of the relevant legislation is essential, since in this area the difference between the norm purpose and the reality could be immense.

  • This study examines the overall structure among family relationship, self-efficacy, self-esteem, and delinquency of adolescent in single-parent families using structural equation modeling to provide theoretical basis preventable juvenile delinquency. The data of 516 middle and high school students in the research into the promotion policies on children and adolescents' mental health(2012) by the National Youth Policy Institute analysed. The result of this study are: (1) family relationship affects self-efficacy, self-esteem, and delinquency of adolescent, (2) family relationship affects delinquency of adolescent by the mediation of self-esteem, (3) self-efficacy doesn't affect delinquency of adolescent. • This study focused on the sex culture and the sexual rights of women, examining the gender-role stereotype that is related to the protection of the sexual rights of female college students and identifying the influence of self- esteem. The research was conducted on gender-role stereotypes, sexual assertiveness, and self-esteem among female university students attending four-year universities in Seoul and Gyeonggi. Four hundred eighty-two copies were used for analysis. The Pearson's correlation coefficient was used to identify the correlation between the variables. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to identify the mediated effects of self-esteem in the effects of gender-role stereotypes on sexual assertiveness. The Sobel test was conducted to confirm that the effects were statistically significant. The results of this study were as follows. First, the gender-role stereotype had negative correlations with self-esteem and sexual assertiveness. Self-esteem had positive correlations with sexual assertiveness. Second, self-esteem was found to be a partial mediating factor when the gender-role stereotype had a statistically significant effect on sexual assertiveness. Therefore, a coping strategy under the influence of the gender-role stereotype is necessary for improving the sexual assertiveness skill of female students. This study also suggests the need for sex role-related education programs or counseling on self-esteem.

  • The purpose of this research was to identify the relationship between specific personality characteristics and maladaptive social behaviors in order to contribute to development of a pragmatic intervention for the prevention of sexual aggression. This was accomplished by examining the mediating effects of entitlement rage (K-PNI) or sociosexuality (K-MSAS) on sexual aggression, and moderating effects of cognitive emotion regulation strategies (K-CERQ) or state empathy (K-CMEM) on sexual aggression in narcissistic men. Data were obtained from male college students (n = 264) who completed self-report questionnaires, such as K-NPI and K-CMEM, and hierarchical regression analysis was applied to examine these relationships. Both entitlement rage and cognitive emotion regulation strategies were found to be unassociated with sexual aggression. Rather, sociosexuality was the mediating factor between narcissism and sexual aggression, Whereas state empathy was a moderating factor between narcissism and sexual aggression. These findings indicate a tendency for sociosexuality to increase sexual aggression in males. However, individuals with low state empathy are more likely to show sexual aggression than those with high state empathy, indicating that intervention for increased state empathy may be a more effective treatment than cognitive emotion regulation strategies.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of callous-unemotional traits(CU) on juvenile crime and explore additional effects of parenting and socioeconomic status on juvenile crime. A total of 103 juvenile probationers completed self-report questionnaires at 3 probation offices in Seoul, and a total of 123 high school students completed self-report questionnaires in Seoul and Gyeonggi. The results of this study were as follows. First, juvenile crime group showed higher score in uncaring subscale of CU, lower parent's education and lower economic level than normal group. Second, in both groups, uncaring subscale of CU showed negative correlations with parent's acceptance and daily monitoring. Third, in logistic regression, uncaring subscale of CU and low economic level significantly predicted juvenile crime group. This study suggests that uncaring characteristic of CU and socioeconomic status are potential factors contributing to juvenile crime.

Second, children recognized that nap time in the child care center was time for a forced nap, time for listening to quiet music, and time for feeling good after a nap. Third, as for the needs to take a rest and a nap for children, they wanted to rest when they came together at full day class after their friends had returned home, they wanted a special area except the classroom, and they wanted to be cared for by familiar adults. Based on these results of the study, future research directions were proposed in terms of respecting children's rights of enjoying a rest and a nap.

  • The purpose of this study is analyzing newly the role of the educare teachers by finding the teachers' subjective perception on their duty and understanding its feature. With the research, I'd like to present the fundamental materials for re-training and education for specialty. I Q-sorted 17 teachers based on the 36 statements which had been selected carefully. The results are following. The first type is the teacher who is aiming the specialized education. The teacher of this type needs to have the comprehensible knowledge on the child-development and seeks the teacher's specialty with self-supervision and study group. The second type is the teacher who is pursuing safety and protection for the children. The teacher of this type considers safety and cleanness very important and thinks that he or she should take care of the children by the cooperation with parents. The third type is the teacher who is heading for everyday's life and improvement. He or she thinks that teaching the child daily life is significant and by it, the child should grow up. The results of the research show us 3 points. The first, we need to re-design training program for the educare teachers. The second, we should prepare the manual for the teachers in accordance with the infants' growing-up. The third, we should understand the teacher's type and train him or her in accordance with the type.
