  • This study aims to examine developmental trajectories and predictor variables of problem behaviors and school adjustment trajectories among children from low-income families using latent growth modeling. The data was collected from the 2nd year to the 4th year (2012-2014) of a community child center child panel survey conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute. The major findings are as follows. First, as the grade went up, the problem behaviors of children from low-income families increased while school adjustment decreased. Second, multi-level domains, such as individual, school, and family variables influenced school adjustment trajectory, while only individual variables, such as depression, isolation, and motivation for achievement influenced problem behavior trajectory. Third, common protective factors between problem behaviors and school adjustment trajectories were motivation for achievement in and satisfaction of the community child center. Common risk factors between problem behaviors and school adjustment trajectories were isolation and aggression. Based on the results, the implications for child welfare practices were discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the moderating effects of protective factors on the relations between deviant peer's influences and delinquent behaviors in adolescence. To investigate the moderating effects, simple slope and region of significance test based on multiple linear regression(MLR) model were used. This study used data from wave 1-2(2003-2004) of the Korea Youth Panel Survey(KYPS). Results showed that for female adolescents, self-esteem, parent monitoring, and attachment to parent moderated the link between best friend's deviancy and delinquent behaviors. For male adolescents, however, best friend's deviancy and protective factors didn't show any significant moderating effects. These results help clarify the conditions under which exposure to deviant best friends can influence delinquent behaviors in adolescence. Practice and policy implications as well as further research topic were discussed to aid the search for highly effective preventive and treatment interventions.

First, social worker's organizational justice's 3 sub-dimensions; distributive justice, procedural justice, interactional justice and job satisfaction are same result through the latent average analysis between social welfare using facilities and community(living) facilities. however, social worker who works in living facilities job stress is higher level than using facilities worker. Second, distributive justice, interactional justice has a positive effect to job stress but procedural justice has not statistical effect. In addition, only interactional justice have a negative effect to job stress, job stress have negative effect to job satisfaction. Third, In this study, established structural model are existed partially difference between group of facility types.

For this purpose, the path analysis model for depression, self-esteem, life satisfaction, and suicidal ideation were used to examine the 225 early adolescent students of grades between 4 and 6 attending elementary school. The main results are as follows. First, the self-esteem of early adolescents was partially mediated between depression and suicidal ideation. Second, the satisfaction of life of early adolescents was partially mediated between depression and suicidal ideation. In other words, in order to lower the suicidal ideation of early adolescents, various programs are need to be developed to improve self-esteem and life satisfaction, as well as apply them to practice.

  • The objective of the present study was to identify the factors influencing the smartphone addiction among college students and to obtain basic information in terms of enhancing proper use of the smartphone. Based on the previous literature with constructs of depression, aggression, self-control and smartphone addiction, a research model was prepared. A total of 332 students were selected from 5 universities in G Metropolitan City and collected data were analyzed through hierarchical multiple regression. The major results of the study were as follows. First, self-control was the most powerful predictor of smartphone addiction. Second, anger caused smartphone addiction to increase whereas social experience caused smartphone addiction to decrease. Third, depression did not cause smartphone addiction to increase. Finally, implications for preventing and decreasing the smartphone addiction among college students were also provided.

  • Using structural equation modeling, this study sought to examine the structural causality between elderly age norms, social activities, and life satisfaction and to determine the moderating effect of death preparation activities. The analysis was conducted using data for 6,288 people over 65 years old, plus their spouses and children, taken from the '2017 National Survey of Older Koreans.' The study found, first, that the more positive the age norms to which the older person subscribes, the more their social activities increase. Second, as these social activities increase, the level of life satisfaction also increases. Third, the more positive the age norms to which the older person subscribes, the more the level of life satisfaction increases. Fourth, there is a significant positive mediating effect of social activity in the relationship between the age norms of the older person and life satisfaction. Fifth, there is a significant moderating effect of death preparation activities in the structural relationship between age norms, social activities, and life satisfaction that specifically impacts the age norm-life satisfaction relationship. Based on these results, practical plans to improve elderly people's life satisfaction are recommended.

  • The study is purposed to investigate the current status of assistive technology devices(ATDs) and to explore ways to improve the ATDs support system for work. As a method, domestic and foreign systems were investigated to derive implications can be applied in Korea based on the analysis framework that compromised Gilbert and Terrell's policy analysis model and research purpose. Next, a survey was conducted on 202 disabled supported ATDs for Work. They were looking for a job or working. We would like to suggest a plan as follows. First, it is necessary to improve the support process centered on consumers. Second, the expansion of items and supplementation of the quality management system should be considered. Third, it is urgent to expand the application qualifications. Finally, the foundation for improvement should be continuously laid. We expected the direction of improvement of the support system will be established.

  • The purpose of this study was to present the empirical data for the prevention of suicide by analyzing the group differences according to the types of risk factors and protective factors of family members living with dementia patients and the effects of each type on suicidal ideation. This study investigated the characteristics of suicidal ideation among family members of people living with dementia by using a community health survey. It then investigated the effect of each latent group on the suicidal ideation of family members of people living with dementia. Twenty-four risk and protective factors on suicide ideation were analyzed by using Mplus. The four latent classes were high risk - low protective, high risk - high protective, low risk - high protective and low risk - low protective. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the high risk-low protective factor group had the highest suicidal ideation. Based on these results, practical implications and challenges were presented.
